These days lot of news appear in India about the king in making of India Rahul Gandhi who uses his tongue like a pigmy politicians simply to woo the voters towards Congress Party. At 36 Rahul Gandhi is not a young boy, he is matured and fully grown up man and as such he should be clever enough while making his statements. The contribution of Nehru family in India deserves compliments but that does not mean they were infallible and omnipotent. Rahul said “had his family been in power in 1992, it would have stopped Hindu mobs from razing a controversial mosque in Uttar Pradesh”. To counter this statement let me say that Rahul, his sister Priyanka and his Italian born mother Sonia were not sleeping in the cot as small kids in oblivion of what was happening beyond their residence in Delhi. Their Congress party under the premiership of Congressman Narasimha Rao was ruling India from Delhi and Rahul’s mother and all his family members were in full control of the working of Government machinery under the Congress rule. Being so, Rahul’s family members were aware of the events taking place at Ayodya for the destruction of Islamic Mosque. As a Prime Minister of Congress Party, Premier Narshima Rao had all the intelligence reports at his disposal and based on this he could have taken appropriate action much in advance. Kar Sevaks or communal Hindu militants were openly coming from all over India with their deadly weapons and piercing instruments to demolish the Mosque. This news was known to Premier’s office and also to Rahuls family. Yet they kept total silence because they all were party to the demolition of Babri Masjid, though not physically but thru remote control. If the Prime Minister of the country does not come to know what is happening in his own country then what sort of premier is he? Narashima Rao and his entire Congress Party and Ministry knew that Babri Masjid is going to be demolished and they wanted this to happen for this reason they closed their eyes.Further to the same news Rahul Gandhi “claimed family credit for India getting independence from Britain in 1947 and also for saying his family was responsible for the division of Pakistan and the creation of Bangladesh”. To take entire credit for Nehru family for attaining independence for India is a Dr. Goebellian lie. What about others from non-Congress block who fought so vigorously for the independence of India? What about Karamchand Mohandas Gandhi who is called the father of the nation for his dynamic leadership in the fight for the independence of India? Was Mahatma Gandhi a member of Nehru and Rahul family? In fact Rahul family accidentally robbed the credibility, dignity, integrity and popularity of Mahatma Gandhi. People in India still not aware the difference between Mahatma Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi who was the late Parsi husband of Rahul’s grand mother Indira Gandhi. Huge number of illiterate Indians feel that the name Gandhi applied to Indira Gandhi and her sons and grand children are inherited from Mahatmah Gandhi. Hence the advantage for Rahul’s family to capitalize on the name “Gandhi”. Even Priyanka Gandhi the only sister of Rahul retained her maiden name as Gandhi inspite of getting married to outside Gandhi clan. Indian family system is patriarchal and not matriarchal to inherit the family name of the mother. Nehru family is a cunning family and for this reason Priyanka is retaining her maiden name as Priyanka Gandhi. It looks she wants to jump into politics at an appropriate time by capitalising on the name "Gandhi".
About the division of Pakistan, Nehru was also responsible for the creation of Pakistan for his selfish interest. Nehru and his clique never wanted Muslims to be in majority or near to majority in India. Nehru and his clique wanted the domination of Hindus in India. If India was not to partition, Muslims in India would wield huge power and influence which would be detrimental to the interest of Hindus who at times proved to be more communal than others. If India was not to partition in 1947, today united India would be a big powerhouse even shaking the world. Greed of Nehru for political power at the Centre was also an important factor for the creation of division of India. Nehru never wanted to hand over premiership of united India to Jinnah though to please Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru superficially agreed. But Nehru’s real intention was to grab highest power and in this he succeeded. But at what cost? At the cost of division of one nation thru bloodbath.
Rahul Gandhi should be ashamed to be a member of Nehru family that was instrumental in the division of Pakistan and creation of Bangladesh. The big mistake of Rahul’s grandmother was her involvement directly in East Pakistan. Are Bangladeshi’s grateful to India for what India did for them? To create Bangladesh, India lost so much in manpower and other resources. If it was not for India, Bangladesh would never come into existence. But on their independence day function, nobody remembers the sacrifices India made for its birth. By creating Bangladesh the late Indira Gandhi created another front for India as deadly opponents in Kashmir. This front will never give peace to India because as reported this front is the creation of Pakistan and it is propped up by Pakistani elements which are deeply hurt when India dismembered Pakistan and created Bangladesh. India’s involvement under Indira Gandhi in East Pakistan was a big mistake. Because of this big mistake India as a whole is now suffering in Kashmir and elsewhere in India and the effects of these sufferings are felt everywhere in India. I am sure these sufferings will not stop. On the contrary these sufferings will go on increasing because “sword begets sword”. I am not proud of Nehru family for what harm it did for India.
And while concluding, why should I be proud of Nehru family when one of its members Indira Gandhi introduced Emergency rule in India in 1975 thereby destroying democracy and civil liberties in India? This was the worst rule in India than that of Hitler's and also of Saddam Hussein. Good that we Indians are not Iraqis otherwise soon after the victory of Janata Party in India, Indira Gandhi would face the gallows. Good that we Indians are cultured people otherwise Indira Gandhi would have been brought out of her house forcibly and killed on the street in New Delhi by the mob fury. Rahul Gandhi is the grandson of Indira Gndhi. He may inherit his grandmothers cruelties. Indians should be cautious of this man especially when he boasts of the inherittance of Nehru family which produced selfish and most cruel leaders in India.
