ESCAPING OF PRISONERS OF WAR.

 

This is regarding the escaping of prisoners from the newly built Colvale Prison which according to the concerned authorities was  constructed  with all the modern amenities to prevent the prisoners from escaping and yet surprisingly the prisoners are escaping with regular intervals indicating  something is wrong with the security system or security personnel whose hand in allowing the prisoners to escape, I suspect because in India anything bad can happen.  Don’t we remember how in Delhi some years back a few Atomic Scientists passed on to our enemies Atomic secrets? 

 

Escaping of prisoners from the prison is not new in Goa.  I remember somewhere in 1958,  2 Pakle prisoners escaped from the very tight security prison of Aguada.  According to the information given then, 2 Pakle prisoners were lodged in one room and having seen one wall of their prison a bit weak, they both started urinating on the weaker area of that wall till it collapsed on one fine late evening paving them the way to flee, but where? To Portugal?  Then manhunt started all over Sinquerim and even in Candolim reaching even to my place, by the different teams of security personnel comprising one Paklo from Aguada  and one Goan Policeman.

 

So far three prisoners have escaped from the Colvale Prison thus making a mockery of the security system of India, the third is the recent one named as Yallapa surprising the prison authorities to ponder how he could jumped over the tall prison walls?  It looks to me  that he must have been an expert in climbing over the tall walls of the prison just as Jean Valgean the prisoner escaped by climbing  the prison wall as depicted in his great epic Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.  Jean Valgean had expertise in climbing the tall walls by crawling on the walls  with his back to the walls. May be Yallapa is having such an expertise.

KONKANI IN ROMAN SCRIPT AND ITS BETRAYAL. BY NAGRIVADS.

           This I am writing with reference to the news appeared in the local media  which said that in Britain they came out with a novel way of thanking all those Front Line Fighers against Corona Virus – COVID - 19 by saying to every major linguistic community THANK YOU in their respective languages.  One of the  languages is Konkani and that too in Roman Script Konkani saying ”DEV BOREM KORUM”.  The tinpot Nagrivadis whose numerical strength is so low that we can easily count them on our finger tips have not only  denied the Romi Script Kokani its due recognition but they have robbed us of our right to have Romi Script Konkani recognized as one of the Official Languages of Goa. But, no, these very few Nagrivadis had no Balls in their Pants to display the sense of justice towards the Romivadis.  If it was not for the Romivadis, the movement for the cause of Konkani would fizzle out and collapse like a pack of cards.  In the Rallies organized in Panjim from Azad Maidan and the public meetings at Azad Maidan only, the attendees were 90% the followers of Romi Script Konkani.  The fund almost 90% sent and given for this purpose came from the Romi Script Konkani followers who were also on forefront under Konkani Porjecho Avaz to campaign for the recognition of KonkanI. Even the naming of KPA as KONKANI Porjecho Avaz and not as KONKNNI Porejcho Avaz was to fool the Romivadis by giving them false impression to protect their  interest  and their wish will be taken care of.  This is the cunning idea it looks to me.

 

          In fact, the sacrifices of Romi Konkani followers  were so high that  besides spending heavy amount of money to promote Konkani movement, more than 5 Romivadis suffered the martyrdom while none of the Nagrivadis faced such tragedies, they enjoyed all the facilities on Silver platter.  Almost the entire movement of Konkani during its last phase in mid eighties  spearheaded  by the Romi followers.  Inspite of this the few  Nagrivadis ignored the needs and sentiments of Romivadis.  Once again I indicate my disapproval over the injustice done to Romi Script Konkani and I strongly condemn those responsible for denying Romi Konkani its due place along with Nagri Script Konkani. 

 

              Since the passing of the language bill making Konkani in Nagri  Script as Official Language of Goa and giving almost equal status to Marathi but nothing for Romi Script Konkani is the great setback not only for Romi Konkani but Konkani as a whole.  It was the greatest tragedy of the last century. Because of this tragedy there is more distance occurred  between Romi and Nagri scripts Konkani and if this situation is not revised there is every possibility for this distance to increase more.  What both the Scripts jointly can do for the cause not only of Konkani but also of Goa, individually the Nagrivadis  will never be able to do.  On the contrary on one fine day we will be surprised to see that the Nagrivadis abdicate their responsibility in favour of Marathi because of their traditional and historical closeness with Marathi allowing Marathi to swallow the Nagri Script Konknni and Marathi to accept as by De Factp official language of Goa..  

 

As a matter of interest, In Jerusalem in  “Pater Noster” Church, the prayer “Our Father…” was kept inscribed in colourful Ceramic  in ROMAN SCRIPT among other World major 150 languages.  When the World  gives due importance and recognition to Roman Script Konkani our own Konkanivadis are ignoring it in the very  land of its own. It is time now for me to  awaken all the Mauzos, Bhembros,  Shivdases, Pundaliks, Naiks and many others and ask them what you have done was right?  Future generation of Romi Konkani will curse you for betraying Romi Konkani with a Judas Kiss. And in history this betrayal will be kept written in black capital letters.

SUPPORT "GOENCHO EKVOTT" MOVEMENT.

 

This is regarding the movement spearheaded by the “Goencho Ekvott” to scrap the double tracking of railway line and also totally rejecting the transportation of Coal thru the  State of Goa. Since this movement is initiated in the South and Mormugao and now gaining a momentum in Ponda too, I  hope its echo will be heard in the North Goa and Barez too where many  are still keeping their  silence by saying “Maka Kiteak Poddlam?” It is not right on the part of those people who disown their duty and responsibility to support their own people on the other side of Goa.  In fact, this problem is not of Mormugao, Salcete and Ponda only but of entire Goa and since the affected areas are also the parts of Goa, the entire Goan community becomes duty bound to side with our brothers and sisters from the affected  parts of Goa.  Those who say “Makam Kiteak Pooddlam” are cowards and anti-oans too and as such they are not fit to be in our midst and they have no right to call theselves as Goans.  They must be genuine Ghanttees or of their type who have no responsibility to take on their shoulders because even if they get all the documents including the Ration Cards and Voting Cards to get the benefits of Goa and Goans, if anything goes wrong to them, yhey will run to their original homes in their respective States even if they have to go on their knees or crowling. We have seen recently how migrants have walked to their home States when there was no conveyance for them to go home.  This is their patriotism towards their homes and their home places.    

 

According to the available information, out of 40 ML’s only three are come out with their open support to this public cause and one of them is belonging to the Congress Party Reginaldo Lawrence. Why only 3 MLA’s declared their open support to this movement in favor of Goa and Goans?  Why not other MLA’s?  Are they hiding under the petticoats of their Concubnes or their wives?  Don’t they have brains to think what is good and what is bad for Goa’s health and as such why they shrugged of their responsibility?  Here comes the principle of “collective Ressponsibility” of Goans and as such neither they nor anybody in Goa can refrain from supporting this movement if he calls himself/herself a real Goan.  It is time now for all of us to indicate our solidarity with our people who are fighting this menace which the Goa  Government wants to impose  in Goa in a dictatorial manner to help  a few  millionaires to become billionaires and in the bargain to create Crorepotis of those who are running the Government machinery because according to the ongoing trend the Ministers will be surely entitled for their bribe if this double railway track is laid.  The damage of this double railway track will be immense for Goa and those people who are going to be directly affected, the Government is not thinking in these terms, those Ministers who are running the Government says “amchea mar konkear” let the grievances of the people go to hell, as long as we receive our bribe it is enough for us.  This type of dadagiri was not existing even during the Salararist regime, inspite of being a dictator Salazar was far better but deffinetely not these Goan Salazars who are always acting against the interest of the local people in the name of development.  Destroying the well-being of the people in the name of development is not the correct method to  develop Goa and what these Ministers of ours whose knowledge of the subjects they are dealing and handling are capable to perform?  By mishandling the Corona Virus when they kept the door of Goa open for anybody to enter Goa and spread and multiply the Virus, they have sucked Goa.  What is the capacity of Health Minister to perform well when he does not know how to give an injection?  These Ministers of Ladru and Pedru type will never do justice to their jobs because they are unfit to occupy the positions that they are wrongly occupying because their leader is stupid to give right portolio to the wrong person.  People must now only raise their voices against the kiddiness our ministers  are doing otherwise they will send us to the grave.  They have money to get best of treatment from best of the private hospitals but do we have that power?  This Government is not people friendly but anti-people.  Goans must think over it carefully before the next election comes. Meantime, we must all join together to fight against the injustice meted out  to us.                     

     

When Prophet Mohammad was asked “when there will be justice in this world, replied the Prophet within a split of a second saying “when everyone of us will gather courage to fight against the injustice committed on to  others as if that injustice is committed on to us only, then only there will be justice in this  world’.  We cannot keep ourselves as silent spectators when our fellow Goans are suffering from injustice from the Government that always works against the interest of the people thereby forcing the people to come out on to the streets in demonstrations.  This Government never gave us peaceful nights to sleep peacefully and neither will give us in the future.  In view of this, we must make our preparations now only to dethrone Sawant and his Government otherwise this Government will dethrone us from our Houses by demolishing our Houses in the name of development.

BEST NEW SONG "GOENCHEM ADLEM SUKH" BY FRANCIS DE TUEM.

                                I have just saw and listened to the one such a powerful and bold political song that it is difficult for me to describe the intelligence to compose & sing and a daring song “GOENCHEM ADLEM SUKH” rendered by the highly political singer Francis de Tuem in the UTube on his Channel.  There was the time the genius of political songs Kid Boxer while entering the Stge the hall pcked audience used to jump from their Seats to welcome him because his political songs were full of wisdom and information and prophetic. In fact some of his predictions and prophecies  that he did some years back about 60 and 100 years back are coming to reality now.  His political songs are not hitting the Government of India only but also on other local issues related to the domestic topics that created lot of disunity and ill will associated with  divisions among Goans in general and the Tiatrists in particulars.  On all such issues and also  others too Kid Boxer used to sing fearlessly.  But the main issues of his choice were the crookedness of Nehru Government and the Government of India’s hatred for the Portuguese rule in Goa,  That does not mean that Kid Boxer  was in favour of Portuguese presence in Goa but never wanted Goa’s liberation the way it was done when Indian Millitary personnel forcibly marched on 17.12.61 and landed on the sacred Goan soil. The real liberation was the way the Bangladesh was liberated.  The Bharatis came to Goa like without informing us Goans.  By doing this Nehru and his Government put himself and India into total shame thereby declaring to the world how hollow is the principle of Non Violence slogan India gave to the world to settle the bilateral issues.  India was so shameless to hate Portugal that if Portugal was bad then how it dared to establish its diplomatic relationship with Portugal and have its Consular mission in Panjim Goa after the Independence of India? 

             

                             Then in 1962 took the birth of one highly political Trio comprising Concepton-Nelson-Anthony  whose power of composing and singing of highly political Trio songs was so great that even the local Bandodcar government was afraid of this Trio while ignoring the might of 12 mighty Opposition members of UG. When they criticized the Indian government for creating a mess of otherwise excellent Goa beautifully administered by the beautiful Portuguese Government were it was not easy to commit robberies and murders because law and order situation was beautifully maintained by the Portuguese Government. Being outsiders from Portugal in Euroe they provided us better protection than what this Maldicao giving us. Because of this leniency in maintaining law and order, there occurred lot of robberies in Ga immediately following the anexation of Goa by Bharat.  Then in one of their  hard hitting Trio song against the Central Government for invading Goa and the  situation in Goa, the Trio Kings rendered one Trio song in mid 1962 a few lines are as below:

Adim nesson  kapodd chearxim varanchem, Xekim nikllailen moder amcheam dharamchem,

Because of rampant robberies and murders, this Trio made havoc of the Government and because they were a hard nut to crack they were arrested  and taken to the Police Station.  In that Trio they also criticized the freedom fighters for looking silently all the ills happening in Goa in the name of liberaon.. Here are a few  lines:

Moga porkeanchea atha khal sobit aslem amchem Goa xar

Pun atam tachem konne ghatlem padd

 

Sang moga nationalists (mening: (Freedom Fighters) munta poi tem kitem,

Nationalist muntta poi tem ek Ainsachem Tatem

 

They frst went on attacking the whole political system in Goa by singing songs describing the ill effects of  the annexation of Goa by Bharat.  This Trio has done greaer service to the cause of Goa  and Konkani than   even the top politicians could do, in fact they all three of them have done more for the protection of Goa and Goan disiciplines for this I feel their monument should be erected in Goa.  If Goa remained till now as Goa it is partly because of these tiatrists, in fact they all three of them have done more for the protection of Goa and Goan disiciplines for this I feel their monument should be erected in Goa.  If Goa remained till now as Goa it is partly because of their campaign in support of Goa. 

 

                             Then came the top political singer who was known as Jet Speed Singer,   William  de Curtorim who became an instant darling of the audience by releasing his tirade against the MG  Government of Shashikala Kakodkar first and then the  other corrupt politicians..  However, his campaign against corrupt politicians was cut short by the unexpected early death on him. His was very daring singer and his composition was very powerful.  In his songs he disgraces the topmost corrupt politicians. He was many times dscussing with the political aspects of Goa.  I feel his death was great shockning news for the Goa lovers of Goa.

Then, now among the  current politicial singers, Francis de Tuem occupies the top Spot.He is gifted by God with good looks and the beautiful voice.  His compositions are correct and historically very true.  He does lot of research work and utilizes his  archived documents since his records are perfect which does not allow any loopholes.  His voice is so powerful that the Government machinery and some Ministers are prowling on him to catch him on wrong foot.  Why the Ministres and other top politiotocaal leaaders  are longing for his blood? Once he was even arrested on silly grounf. But he is vbery daring and because of this daringness he sings such powerful political songs.

In thisGOENCHEM ADLEM SUKH it is so beautiful it remindfs us of what a beautiful place Goa  was when Goa was under the domination of PORTUGAL BUT THE greatness and beautry of                Adlem  Amchem Goem was destroyed  by the Chors, Bamttes, Krimidors, Rapists and Rostad from the Bharati areas whose only motto is to rob Goa and destroy its culture and best of tradition and folklore.  Our Culture is based on our mother tongue that is Konkan and once Koksn is destroyed the culture of Goa wlll be dedtroyed,  For this reason the All India leaders stationend in Panjim is taking a decision to finish Konkani from Goa. For this reason as per the hidden agenda prepared by the  Cntral  Government’s leaders  they decided it seems that to uproot Konkani from the tongues of the Goans the leaders from Delhi MAKE SLOWLY BUT SURELY the demographic changes in Goa’s population by bringing in Goa more and more non-Goans mainly the Ghanttees with their refusal to speak Knkani and instead forcing us indirectly to learn the languages of Ghanttees.

                                                                   In that song Francis de Tuem highlights very beautifully some of the items of our Goans that are described highighting mainky on thr excellent character of Goans and this type of Character is not ingrained in the blood of non-Goans.  Like M. Boyer in one of his songs to mark the 10 years of the Liberation of Goa, said, what quantity of Crimes and murders in 450  years did not take place finally took place just in 10 years.   Francis de Tuem also in this song says  the same by singing thus: “what the number of murders that took place in Goa in the 60 years of liberated Goa have not taken in 450  years in Portuguese Goa.

                                           Tiatrists have done very good work towards Goa and now I request anyone of them to pen down a Tiatro depicting how Goa was during the Portuguse time, while depicting Goa the  writer must keep on record what was their life and how the Goan people wee living, their suffering and their habbits and thrit customs.  The current and the new generation did not know their parents and grand parents how they lived, how they did agricultural, fishing. TodTapphow the Mundkars and others low strata of Goans were so rudely and so badly treated by the Bamonn Goan Bhattkar.  Besides, there are so many other aspects ot Goan life.  By doing this, history of Goa and Goans can be recorded for the future generation to know how their elders lived. If any capable Tiatrist director is willing to go ahead and if any assistance or guidance is required for writing the script, I am ready to render the help.
