On 31st of
last month, at Mapusa, starting at 10.40 AM, I saw the Tiatro “AMONTRONN”
written and directed by the well-known Tiatrist Rosario de Benaulim. It was well attended by the crowd who came in a big number to see this Tiatro. It is a known fact that this Tiatro is worth seeing as its story is
well written and well enacted by all the artistes especially by Tari, Roma and
Roseferns. The role played by the
director Rosario de Benaulim was superb.
As usual, one of the beauteous spots of Konkani Stage, Antonette de
Maina brought elegance to her role. The story looks like based on Biblical
Prodigal Son.
The comedy part was
handled by the four comedians, namely Sally, Selvy, Richard and Dorothy who is
really a great asset to Konkani Stage.
Among the Side Show
songs, the solos rendered by the director Rosario de Benaulim, Xavier Gomes,
Marcus Vas, Benny de Aldona, duet by Cajy & Roma, Trios by
Xavier-Cajy-Marcus and Antonetter de Maina-Dorothy-Roma deserve special
mention.
