In
Tiatro circle Tomazinho Cardoso is a name and fame since a long time now. As a young school going boy he created a good
image of his as a Tiatrist by composing and singing songs and later on staging
his own Tiatros in aid of Club, School
and other such charitable causes. In Tiatro competition contests he won first
prizes many times and thus created a name for him which is like a Rock,
unbreakable till now as witnessed by the huge attendance attending to see his Tiatro
“Yes Sir” on 1st of this month at 7.00 pm, at Kala Academy Panjim.

As everyone knows
Tomazinho’s taste for politics himself being a politician, this Tiatro was also
surrounded on the unprincipled politics
in which almost all our politicians are indulging in, “I am in politics for my own selfish benefit. Precisely because of this I bow my head down
for my survival as elected representative with the TWO UNPRINCIPLED SLAVISH WORDS
‘YES SIR’ ”.

The role of the most
principled elected representative in the midst of corrupt ones, was played extremely well by Sivananda NaiK
who was developed as a child artiste from the cradle of Kala Mogi – Candolim,
under the leadership of Tomazinho Cardoso, playing different roles such as
comedian then of female and now reaching to the main serious role.

Having developed in the
cradle of Tomazinho Cardoso, he feels obligated to his master for this reason
he is remained attached to this group for such a long period, to be precise 26
years starting at the age of 9, even though he receives lot of offers from
other groups to join them. For all these offers, his only answer is this: I
will end where I started” just as Pele declared when Real Madrid and Barcelona
asked his price to buy him outright when his Santos Club refused to release
Pele when Pele himself declared saying “I will end my career with Santos from where
I started”. Rarely such persons one will
find on this planet having such an extremely high gratitude and Shivananda Naik
is one of them, a gem of a young man.

The others who played
their roles well were Irene Cardoso with accurate perfection, even her dress
code was appropriate. In this connection, some of our professional
females have to learn from Irene Cardoso because even in the ordinary house as
ordinary female they decorate themselves with expensive high heel shoes,
expensive sarees, gold ornaments around their necks and bangles for hands from
wrist to elbow.
The role of the main
comedian played by Christopher was good but he is yet to be accepted by the
audience as a comedian though his performance was good with the exception of
doing his comedy at the wrong time when the seriousness in going on in the
play. He was ably assisted in performing comedy role by Joaquim
Lopes. Dulcina played her role well but her acting when she was attacked by the
two Loafers who wanted to rape her, was superb displaying lot of genuineness.
Assis Cardoso did his part well as an educationist encouraging his son to jump
into politics and contest the election, just like many of our rascal politician
fathers do in Goa. Tukaram too did his role well.

In the Side Show songs,
there was not a single song which was “Pezad” and neither there was a single
singer who is known to be “Pezad”. However,
even then the performance in the Side-Show
was good where the following artistes excelled in rendering good songs, namely:

the lyrics was good but it was very beautifully and melodiously rendered by
Cardoso especially the ending part.

It was just a thrill to watch this young girl singing so well with the body movement. She got an attractive voice and her dress
code was appropriate.
