Activist Swami Agnivesh a week ago has written to Pope Benedict XVI a letter (which is now in the public domain) asking him to impose a "moratorium" on religious conversions, saying such acts ignite strong reactions in countries like India……….its time lay catholics also started writing letters to Pope Benedict calling upon him to instruct the Clergy, Missionaries, Caritas, Catholic Relief Services, etc to stop evangelization activities in India for the next 100 years and utilize the church wealth, assets, funds, resources, vacant church properties & foreign donations for the benefit of poor catholic parishioners & reserve 50% seats for catholics in catholic institutions including catholic schools…….obviously the Pope will ignore such letters……..so the only option left with lay catholics in India is to write letters to PrimeMinister & Members of Indian Parliament to enact a law making it illegal for a foreign power to appoint Bishops for India…….. whether it is the Bishop of the diocese or the Parish Priest of the Church these people should be selected & elected by local catholics of the diocese then only the lay catholics will have some control on how the church should be run in India……..those non-catholics in India who want to convert to catholicism on their own free will or want to visit a catholic church like many non-catholics in bombay do by visiting the Mount Mary Church at Bandra are most welcome but why waste church resources on allurement & fraudulent conversion activities.
Inspite of loosing all their agricultural lands in bombay………..and inspite of the Clergy & Missionaries ignoring their plight……….and inspite of all the Harassment, intimidations and strong arm tactics by the Maharashtra state, Bombay municipal corp, collectors office, politicians, buildersmafia, landmafia, politicalgoons & slumlords……..the Christian Natives of bombay locally known by the name EastIndians ( www bombayland.blogspot com ) have neither abandoned the Christian faith and neither fear to give their children Christian names………..The command to endure suffering is just another part of a Christian's life. Faithful Christians of all ages have suffered; we are not the only ones. We should expect more sufferings to come because we are living in a country which is hostile to Christians & Christianity.
The only sad part is that the Catholic Clergy/Missionaries in Bombay are not using the church wealth, vacant church properties, foreign donations, etc for the benefit of poor christian parishioners……..but yes the eastindians ( www east-indians com ) need to become ambitious, aggressive, combative & politically active and agitate for their rights including demanding 5% quota in Government jobs in Bombay. Swami Agnivesh should also write letters to leaders of all right wing hindu groups to deploy their cadres at the Pakistan & China borders……….and write letters to Builders, Corporates & Industrialists in India to disclose how much money they have donated to Politicians every year along with the names of the politicians……..and write letters to the Election Commission to disqualify a candidate if he is in construction business or directly/indirectly associated with the builders lobby……..and write letters to Election Commission to prevent anyone who has encroached land and created slums from voting during elections………and write letters to Prime Minister & all MPs to strictly enforce the two child policy and pass stringent laws against corruption – femalefoeticide/infantifice – blackmoney – etc……..and abolish the land acquisition act……..and write letters to Government to abolish the tax system & instead print extra currency notes to pay the salaries & pensions of Government servants………and write letters to Maharashtra govt. to dismantle the incestuous network of the politicians – landmafia – slumlords – rationoffice – bureaucrats – police – collectors office.

GULF GOANS HOTELS COMPANY AND ITS INCOMPETENT BOARD.
Kuwait Goans among all the expatriates Goans created an unique record somewhere in 1977 when they established first ever business project formed by any expatriate Goans in the world. This is the Hotel project established by around 100 Share Holders based in Kuwait. This company under Gulf Goans Hotels Company was initiated under the leadership of Mr. Vincente D’Souza now housed in Aged Home in Bangalore. This company was formed to start Hotels business in Goa and its first and the only hotel so far built was at Calangute Gauravaddo touching the beach there and known as Hotel Goan Heritage comprising around 100 posh rooms on area around 10,000 Sq. Mtres.
Later on the capacity of Share holders was increased. In the beginning the entire Board was based in Kuwait with the exception of the then Chairman. Currently only a few about 4 Board members are based in Kuwait who as openly claimed by one of the Share holders are “Idiots” of first grade who cannot contribute anything by being outside Goa and yet knowing this fact very well they are not resigning and giving their seats to more productive members based in Goa. The outstation board members are shameless for this reason shamelessly they are sticking to their Seats. Their time of contribution was finished a long time back. Now it is time for them to retire. But will they? They will not unless they are disgracefully kicked out.
This year during the last few months the Annul General Meeting was due to disruption of the business was postponed thrice, the last was on 8th of this month at Club Gaspar Dias Hall. The Share Holders are blaming the Board headed by incompetent Chairman Justin Fernandes from Saligao and an ex Commercial Bank of Kuwait employee of cheating and hiding many of the facts. The Board has no proper explanation to give to the Share Holders for the reason the AGM is constantly postponed without finalizing the business on the Agenda.
This writer was a witness to the last AGM and he found out that how incompetent the Board is. Chairman talks like a teacher of Kindergarten babies, he wields no authority and power, he only yields authority and power, he does not know to conduct proceedings of the AGM because he is unfit to be on that post. In such a case he should not be there instead he should gracefully resign from his post before situation aggravates. And if situation aggraves only the board headed by Justin will be be held responsible. The Board members claim they are there as social workers but they are charging the company as remuneration a hefty amount for the inefficient services they do. This is a loot business.
As a matter of fact the entire board is unfit to run such a lucrative project, Share Holders are openly blaming the Board Members of frittering the Hotel money for their selfish gains and looting the Share Holders. In the Board there are professional “CHORS” as claimed by one Share Holder openly in the last meeting. One Board Member was sacked in Kuwait by his Airlines Company when he was found robbing company; one Board Member was found cunningly as a robber to have taken into his personal account a huge sum of money from one Goan Association in Kuwait; One Board Member was accused of robbing the huge sum of money from the Kitty of Kuwait Goan Evacuees Society during the invasion of Kuwait. With these type of robbers will there be anything good in the business of Goan Heritage Hotel? One Board member is so old that he cannot even walk without the assisitance of his wife. He got physical deformity and lost his mental sanity and yet he wants to be in the board as silent observer?
During the last meeting there was total chaos, the Chairman totally lost control of the situation because he is unfit but supporting his stupid colleagues. One Share Holder called the Boad as ”Chors”, “Vollkott”, "Sons of illegitimate fathers who know only their mothers and not fathers" and surprisingly none of the board members objected to these statements.
The Board wants to hurriedly finish the business for this reason they are not interested in calling in a right way all the Share Holders. The share holders are become very alert and all opt to fight for justice. The board is accused of hiding transparency in accounting procedures.
In this situation it is imperative now for all the Goa based Share Holders to attend the next AGM meeting fixed on 12th of this month, that is tomorrow and shake the marbles of all the board members who are as it looks, all set to loot and destroy the Hotel. This Hotel must run very well but under the current board it is mismanaged leading to its disaster.
All the Share Holders stationed all around the globe must get an alert to this grave situation. Major Share Holders like Sam Alphonse based in Kuwait and Philiph Ferdinand who were so generous to invest very handsomely in this company have got responsibility to come forward and use their goodwill and share power to save this hotel from going into disaster under the present impotent Board headed by impotent chairman who thinks running the board means running a Saligao Football team in Kuwait.
