We have just seen how in Benaulim the outsiders were involved in promoting their own business and finally treathening our own Goans who provided them all the facilities to do their business. This is what they are doing everywhere where they are running their own business. Recently in Sinquerim (Candolim) one outsider assaulted one local son of Sinquerim and even broken his shoulder bone because of which the local had to spend a week in the Hospital at GMC. It is time now that we wherever possible equip with all the requirements to oppose their “Dadagiri” and should start our own business venture however small they may be, instead of renting our Shops to the outsiders. And we must patrnonise the shops only run by our fellow local Goans, the genuine Goans and not the artificial Goans who should be kept at a distance because they are selfish and when time comes they will flee from Goa to their home places outside Goa.
In my village Candolim very many shops owned by the genuine locals are rented to the outsiders who are doing excellent business and paying excellent rent to the local owners. When such a situation is seen in Candolim, we have one person in my Candolim village who runs his own business so successfully from 1995 and employing about 10 persons in his business venture consisting of a Bakery and a Shop where he sells all the tasty Eatables such as Dos-Neureo-Balls-Sandwiches-Pattis-Bolinhas-Dodol -Cakes of different types besides many other items to buy the same you see especially in the mornigs innumerable customers lining up there at his Shop in the mornings especially, located at Camotim Vaddo, Candolim touching the main Road. Besides, at this shop the items sold are cheaper than elsewhere as per the owner of this Shop and the Bakery Mr. Lourenco Fernandes known everywhere as Lawry only who is deeply involved in the local affairs including sports promotion mainly the Candolim soccer team and organising cultural functions.
When our business rights
are going into the hands of outsiders, we must stop patronizing the outsiders
and patronize our own Goans doing business even if they are our enemies. It is time now for all of us Goans to think
of Goa and Goans first otherwise outsiders especially the Lamanis will liquidate
us because these outsiders are so crook and so bad with the exception of a few,
they are capable of doing anything worst to grab power of Goa from our
hands. Our government and elected
representatives are supporting them because they are easy to purchase. Secondly
some of our elected representatives are so third class that they are meant not to
seat in Assembly but elsewhere in the jungle.
I on my part offer my
full support wherever possible and within my capacity to Lawry and to any other
Goenkar doing business and taking over all other Shops rented to the outsiders.
See how the Lamani outsider with the big “Danda” beat our own Goan brother and
yet he is roaming freely though arrested but bailed out shortly. Where are all
our Candoikars and Sinkerkars gone now?
Even if our Goan brother from Sinquerim is at fault still we must
support him. Will these same Lamanis and
other outsiders were in our place, would they keep silence? Deffinetely not, they would tear us into
pireces. If the late renowned Tiatrist Alexinho de Candolim was alive now he
would ask in his piercing song from the Stage this: Zori tor hi ghoddni anink
khuincheai ganvan ghoddti, Ghanv ekttaim
zavun suru zateleot asleo morti, Pun Candoikaranchea ani Sinquerim karancheam rogtak
bhavani aiz aili sukhti.
Besides the above, Lawry
Fernandes is supplying his products to the local Hoteliers as well. In fact, because of the sheer quality of the
beautifully tasty Eatables, the fame of Lawry’s Shop has gone far and wide In
the vicinity of Candolim and around in the ambient areas. As a Goan and that too as a genunine Goan, I
as well as all my like minded Goan brothers and sisters must promote and patronize
our local businessmen. Among us Goans especially
the Roman Catholics we have one very bad habbit to pull down our own Goan
brothers because we are too much jealous of our own brothers especially belonging
to the same community. Now we have to
forget about it and irrespective of our religious affinity, we must blindly
support our fellow local Goans and not those Disgraceful Outsiders who got
nothing in common with us. They only
want our Goa and to do this they will do anything.
Immediately following
the invasion of GOA by the cunning Bahrat under the most cunning premier of
India Jawaharlal Nehru, the rascal artificial Goan Dayananda Bandodcar whose
gene lies in the neighbouring Maharastra, floated his MGP to merge Goa with
Maharastra, on behalf of Maharastra Bandodcar stood firm while the
Maharastrians including their top leaders namely Y.B. Chawan and V.P. Naik the
then Chief Minister of Maharastra who had powerful hold over Goa in Delhi that
mattered the most demanding Goa for them while Nijalingappa the Chief Minister
of Mysore now Karnataka where all these fringe
communities like Banjara and others said that they like Goa and they want
it to be their part but we cannot contest the Poll to vote for their decision
and get them the beautiful Goa, however, “if Goans want to join us, they are
most welcome. However, I have strong
hope that one day Goa would be a part of Mysore”.
What is going on now
with the influx of Karnatakans in Goa, among all the outside communities
settled in Goa, Karnataknas are more in number and some of them as I noticed
are all out to work for this end. We have to be more careful now since the
Karnatakans who will fire the first salvo of liquidating Goans from their own
land.
