Thanks Veronica for your two wonderful articles, first being the issue on maids torture in Kuwait. I wish this article could be published in the Goan Dailies. Please try to send it if possible so it could be an eye opener to our maids who leave Goa and go to the Gulf for lucrative jobs. I know due to their hardships they go there with dreams of having a good future but they are shattered when they reach there. One in 1000 may be lucky to get a nice employer. Whenever I used to see a maid with a Kuwiati in a shopping mall, all sorts of thoughts used to come to my mind of the ill treatment he may have caused to her, because this is overall notion about the picture of maids in Kuwait. I liked your writeup very much. Not only that you had real guts to show what is good and what is bad.
Secondly, the article you wrote on President of USA Obama is also fantastic. I congratulate you. I wish more writers like you come forward and show the world more knowledge of the past history too. Somewhere in this article, I came to know many things which I myself was not aware earlier. Anyway, keep up the good work. Hope your health is ok and do take care of yourself.
