I knew I had hit the bulls eye but never knew that you could hit the other eye too. Cannot belive that there is so much going on in Dubai where football is concerned. Felix thank for opening up the closet of Dubai football and the Mafia's connection. It is a shame that it reached to that extent. I remember Raul Fernandes and Micky used to run football tournaments on their own which we used to love to go to watch and people and teams used to enjoy. I heard lately that Bonny used to work for Raul and Raul had to pack him off to Goa for something Bonny did no one knows yet. Where are this two guys now? Are they not capable of handling the Mafia's ? I am sure both are well connected and have resources of anything under the sun unless they are sick of Goan politics.
The football in Dubai is run by mafia from Ilhas and Bardez is a FACT. I can recollect one match at the Iranian Stadium where the organizer Mr Silvera even went to confront the reffree for some bad discision which went against his team, what a shame ( MAFIA IS THE CORRECT WORD ). It is known that he has big influence in Dubai and he uses it to his benefit. It was also talk of the town that when his team lost the Finals of Ramadan 11 -a-side the cash prize promised was forgoten but when his team wins there is always cash prize given with out even anouncing at the meeting (team manager will vouch for this ).
Regarding Casmiro Palha, i can recount one Intervillage Finals where Casmiro was playing for Benaulin where he was on the forefront of walking the team out of the field thus abondoning the final. Even the chief guest Indian Embassy Diplomat spoke to the team to continue the match in sporting spirit but of no avail. It was an insult to the Vice Consul and imagine what the organizers must have felt. The Vice Consul must have had a bad impression of Goans. After that incident I have not seen any one from Emabassy attending the Finals ( correct me if i am wrong)
If Bonny has cheated Casmiro then he deserve it for what he had done for the finals showing his class where footbal is concerned.
Regarding the football " GULF GOANS CUP" what is there for the Kuwait Goans organizing a tournament in Dubai, cant they do it there ?? are they also like Bonny ( Birds of same feather flock together ?), results wil come to know next month.
Like Felix said" LET THE FOOTBALL WIN NOT BONNY nor KUWAIT GOANS".
