Recently, when the time
came for the Congress Party in Goa to take a decision to align itself with
other like-minded political parties even by Seat adjustment method, Congress refused to do so. However, during the
current Assembly sessions, Congress Party proved to be untrustworthy because
the Congressmen have aligned themselves in the Assembly with the other parties to
push forward the No-Confidence Motion
and also for “Walk-Out”.
On one side the Congress
Party is refusing to align itself with
other like minded parties to fight the coming election to dethrone the BJP from
the power and on the other side it integrates with the same other like minded parties
in the Legislative Assembly to fight
against the government and the
Speaker. Why this duplicity like that of
Dr. Jackeyl and Mr. Hyde?
By acting in such an
unreliable manner Congress is digging its own grave. From the last Congress Dharbar, it is understood
that Congress is bent on fielding all
the oldies and also the defeated candidates who I am sure will again get
resounding defeat because of their corrupt practices during the last so many
years.
In conclusion, as a
face saving method and to keep its presence alive in Goa, Congress Party must better have
a tie-up with the local Political Parties namely Goa Forward and with other like-minded parties to fight the
next election. Otherwise, in Goa,
Congress will be R.I.P.
