One of the interesting Konkani Albums available in Kuwait Video Shop for sale now is the DVD of songs and Jokes produced by the Acid attack victim Bryan Fernandes. All the songs are composed by Bryan only and rendered by the different singers namely Connie M, Lawry Travasso, Anthony San, Mario Menezes, Roma, Jr. Nelson, Jessica, Elvis Mascharenhas, Nancy, Roe Ferns, Seby de Divar and others. While the Jokes scripted by comedian Ambe and enacted by himself, comedians Agostinho and Jannet.
All the songs are good and worth listening but the main important and the most interesting song is the one rendered very beautifully with his very beautiful voice and with very beautiful timing by the youthful and handsome Seby de Divar. In this song the entire history of the Acid attack on Bryan is narrated though in the beginning itself Fr. Agnelo B. D'Souza appearing on the screen narrates the details of the story thereby making it easy for the viewers to understand the contents of this DVD.
Bryan Fernandes is from Chinchinnim while on his way to Panjim to see his sick sister on 6th of August last year was attacked by the goondas in Panjim by throwing deadly Acid on him. These goondas were hired by Bryan’s neighbour who out of jealousy for Bryan’s success in the cultural field decided to get rid of Bryan by liquidating him in this manner. It was said that he paid Rs. 55,000/- to the goondas to carry on with this sinful plan. Though Bryan suffered but ultimately God saved him while his envious neighbour who wanted to liquidate Bryan finally died within 5 days of the Acid attack out of depression and fear.
Jealousy is the worst form of sickness many people are suffering. In Kuwait we have such sick people who cannot bear to see someone flourishing. This type of jealously is very much seen among the Tiatrists. The late Rosary Ferns was easily the best Tiatrist not only in Kuwait but also beyond Kuwait. One of his colleagues in Tiatro circle popularly known as “To aslear aum nachona” introduced a code among Kuwait Tiatrists not to introduce Rosary Ferns in their Tiatros thereby to finish Rosary from Konkani Stage. Only the Bastardised Tiatrists implemented this code but it created no effect on the progress of Rosary. Incidentally some of the very Tiatrists who were on forefront against Rosary shamelessly like real rascals acted in Rosary’s Tiatros. And the initiator of this code “Rosary Aslear Aum Na” who wanted to be the facto hero of Kuwait Tiatrists finally and pitiably suffered a Brain attack which made him unfit to step in on to the Konkani Stage. May God forgive him and bring him back on Konkani Stage as a renewed man.
Konkani Albums are creating lot of upheavals in our society even shaking the mighty persons and governments. About 4 years back Calvert Gonsalves tore the Government and Church into pieces thru his CD. Similarly the medical industry was shattered by the release of yet another Konkani Album where it was shown how irresponsible medical practitioners killed the young girl Rovena when surgeons removed her body organs without letting her parents known. These doctors are not doctors but butchers.
Since time immemorial Tiatrists are known to raise their voices against injustice and this DVD “KOXTTANTLEAN MHOJI KOLA” is one such testimony which people must see and support such ventures against injustice. Let there be more and more such exposures for the good of the society. Well done Bryan Fernades, I fully support your campaign on such injustices. Carry on and fight out more strongly.
