GOANS IN KUWAIT EMBRACE NON GOANS AGAINST GOANS.

Date: 07.08.10.

Good Morning Veronica Bab,

By now you must have got the news what has happened yesterday at the KIFF AGM. The much anticipated reconciliation of both the parties are nipped in the bud.

Here are some points which KIFF has decided and I have been briefed about:

1. There has to be an uncondiotional apology letter from all 7 clubs.
2. No taking part in the KIFF league - only tournaments.
3. All officials are banned for 2 years.
4.. KD 100/- to be paid as deposit fee.

Please tell me what you feel about these conditions. It seems it was decided before hand that we should be not allowed inside KIFF at any cost and just because of the intervention of His Excellency The Ambassador of India in Kuwait these terms are put forward so that even if manage to squeeze in we suffer. It seems all the affiliates except one Mr. Tony Gonsalves of UG voiced his concern. Once again the Mangolorean and the Punjabi ruled the roost while "Goykarank marlet Xenttar". Shame on Goykars in KIFF who sold Goykarpon to Mangalorean and Punjabi.

Regards,
EK GOYKAR -

LOVER OF UNITY BETWEEN KIFF & IFF.

VERONICA'S REPLY.
Dear Ek Goykar,
I am also like you who aspired for unity forgetting the past mistakes but according to the above conditions, it looks these conditions are like those UN imposed conditions on Iraq after the invasion of Kuwait. These are very rigid conditions imposed with the backing of Goans only in KIFF against Goans and others in IFF. Good that KIFF rulers are ruling KIFF only, if they possessed omnipotent power I am sure they would even kill their opponents. There is a saying in Konkani, "Bollan Raza Keler Raza Zaina". Only the artificial Kings act irresponsible like Saddam Hussein. There is one more saying in Konkani, "KHARVEANK NHOI KHUIM GHORVAM AND RENDRANK NHUIM KHUIM THARVAM". Artificial administrators and artificial rulers will always act bias and immature.

Those Goans who entrusted their "Xenni" into the hands of Non-Goans have done great injustice to the Goan cause. It is said in Goa, "MAIMCHO GAGRO KADDLO ANI PUTAN MAIMCHEA MINNAK GHATLO ANI MAIMCHEA MINNAK APLO BADDEACHO PAI KELO". This was exactly what has happened on last Friday. Goans entrusted their rights into the hands of Non-Goans who are become "de facto" power over Goans in an organisation overwhelmingly manned by Goans. It was surprising to know that there was not a single strong clear voice in support of reconciliation by forgetting the past mistake. Where were the Christian principles of the members who punished the punished? Why do they go to the Church regularly and on top of it shamelessly receiving Holy Communion? Is rigid punishment the way to solution?

At the moment my humble advice to all the 7 clubs castigated in a Hitlerian manner not to lose their hope. Be firm in your unity. Try to contact The Indian Ambassador once again and explain to Him the details. People like me will support you for the sake of unity and for the sake of unity let us be ready to make sacrifices. For going away from KIFF and forming IFF no doubt wrong this punishment is too harsch. Will those Goykars involved in punishing IFF Goykars beyond imagination breathe Goa's air freely without any guilt while in Goa? By forming IFF its organisers promoted soccer but by harshly punishing IFF members KIFF cut the promotion of soccer amongst us in Kuwait.

Goans in KIFF if they had to exert pressure on the house to bring about reconciliation, in the history of Kuwait Goans they would remain as Heroes and their names in our history books would remain written in golden letters. By punishing Goans their names will remain written in the history of Kuwait Goans as enemies of Goans. Let everyone now know who is the real enemy of Goans in Kuwait.

Let there be heavy campaign against the enemy of Goans in Kuwait. Let us see, when time comes who will support these enemies of Goans in Goa - Goans or Non-Goans?

AVC KUWAIT REPLIES ON DUBAI FOOTBALL.

This is in reply to the articles written by Donald Vaz and Felix D’Souza on the Gulf Goans Cup in Dubai.

It may be noted that AVC – Kuwait is conducting the tournament in Dubai and Mr. Bonny Fernandes is providing the logistic support to us in Dubai. The tournament is being sponsored by AVC-Kuwait and whatever is being promised to the participating teams will be delivered. We are least interested in Dubai’s Goan soccer affairs. If any of the writers have a problem with Mr. Bonny then I suggest they to take up the matter with individuals concerned and not drag AVC – Kuwait in the muck.

Regarding having the tournament in Kuwait, it may be noted that AVC-Kuwait has been conducting tournaments in Kuwait every year and this year we wanted to do something different and hence moved to Dubai. It may be also noted that AVC-Kuwait has been in the forefront of soccer among the Indian expatriate community in Kuwait and have been League Champions in the recently concluded IFFK league. Our football team has also won an outstation tournament in Bahrain few years back.

We in AVC – Kuwait organize tournaments for the mere pleasure of playing the beautiful game and not for any vested interests. It may be happening in Dubai, but not in Kuwait. Our sponsors give us the backing as we are open and transparent in our dealings. The writers should have contacted the individuals organizing the tournament from Kuwait before entering into the usual Goan mudslinging. We want to conduct a smooth tournament in Dubai, hence I request all Dubai Goans including Mr. Donald Vaz and Mr. Felix D’Souza to lend us a helping hand when we reach Dubai to conduct this tournament.

We look forward to your warm and kind support. Lets us all unite in the name of Goa at least for once. For any further clarification contact Xavier Furtado on 00965 99114634 and email ID xavierfurtado23@yahoo.com or Demin D’Cruz on 0096597651460 and email ID dcruz50@hotmail.com Long live Football.

Cheers!!!!
