I have been keeping a track of the articles you have been writing from Goa and I would like to compliment you for this write-up on Motets. Yes, indeed these Motets have been a part of our Christian life and as a young boy I too have sung them. Being an active member of our St. Inez Church right from my childhood days, I was chosen to sing the Veron song “Exce vede muss” in Latin for 3 consecutive years. Things have really changed and life is totally different now. Yes, our church leadership should come forward to preserve this traditional sacred hymns and music for posterity.
