Rarely in the recent
past such a mammoth crowd attended at Azad Maidan showing their disgust and opposition to PDA
and ODP in Goa introduced by the tin pot MLA’s who are become nuisance for Goa. These MLA’s are so dead that they cannot listen
to the voice of the people who got them elected with the understanding that
they will act and do what their voters want them to do. In my constituency our
MLA who is creating headlines now in Goa is fighting for the introduction of
PDA and ODP looks to be blind and deaf to the wishes of the people who elected
him to MLAship. How he can push this
topic on the voters and who authorized him to be an slave of this topic?

Where are all the constituents
including my elder brother who were flirting with him during the election
campaigning, gone now? Why are they become
so dead now? Why cannot they speak out
loudly and openly and warn their MLAs not to cross their boundary because constituents of their
constituency while voting him back to the Legislative Assembly never gave him free hand to reject people’s
wishes. One of these MLA’s is responsible to play dirty game by being a king leader to induct the present government in Goa when
they had no mandate to form the government. They have done a worst robbery by
robbing the Congress of its majority.

However, there is no proper
system going on in Goa for this reason democracy was killed in Goa when
minority vote gainers were given chance to form the ministry. There is a saying in Konkani which says, “Eka
Kapddan Bail Matari Zaina”. The local MLA should be very careful because he
lost the love and confidence of the voters from his constituency. He must thank
his stars for getting re-elected because his opponent from Congress Party was
not the proper match for him. Besides, money
played a major role in the last election, the mother of all Molestations did
the distribution of the money.
Coming back to the
yesterday’s Meet, it was fabulously
attended by the genuine Goa lover Goans, the artificial Goans who are the
settlers in Goa coming from Karnataka were hiding under the Petticoat of their Wives
or concubines because these “haddeche” Goans are not interested in Goa and
Goans’ future, they want Goa to make money for them by extorting bribe from the
people.

thundered the Azad Maidan yesterday with their courageous statement without
fear; one speaker said “Vijay Sardesai is worst than a Prostitute”; Michael Lobo was mocked and humiliated by
Walter Lobo from Calangute by imitating Lobo with Lamani’s dress. He drew more
attention on him from everyone gathered there. According to me the ire of the
people was focused on Lobo more than on others. Among the audience some people
were talking that “Lobochem Map atam borlem, chodd zalem tachem”, he will not
get elected again because he proved to be unreliable.

Dr. Claude Alvares who was attending the meet by sitting among the audience, was spotted by the organisers and requested to say a few words which turned out to be best educative words when he said that “the decision of the Panchayat becomes an official document only when it was approved by the Graham Sabah. Fr. Britto in his speech indicated his disgust over these politicians, MLA’s and Ministers who are all out to disgrace Goa

Well known Senior
Tiatrist Cyriaco Dias indicated his disgust over those who introduce PDA and
ODP and further pointing out how Calangute is going to be the loser of its
pristine characteristic. He also disclosed his credential of a Freedom Fighter.
My admiration goes for the Freedom Fighters no doubt but what type of the
Freedom Fighters? Definitely not the
ones who went to sleep immediately after Goa was invaded by the Bharat. If
these Freedom Fighters had to indicate their power and love for Goa they would
not sleep at home after 19.12.61 by accepting the Pension and Tamrapatra. The great FF Lambert Mascharenhas has already
shown his disgust for the invaders of Goa and regret for being a FF. Mr. Sinari felt ashamed to be a FF when Goa is
going for the destruction. He regretted
for being a FF when Goa of his dream was not formed. These freedom fighters (only the some
including Sinari) had to suffer so much, the barbaric corporal punishment from
the Portuguese Agentes and the results of their suffering is worth their
sacrifices? They should have all in
unison rejected their pension and surrendered their Tamrapatras with the
statement that “they have not suffered from the Portuguese for this disgraceful
end”.

But to do this, these Freedom
Fighters must have guts. It is not
enough to shout the slogans like “Nehru Zindabad and Salazar Murdabad”. One
prominent FF said “Goa and Goans were better under the Portuguese rule”. I admire him for speaking the truth but I
would admire him still more If he had to surrender his pension and
Tamraptra and disowned those so called FF
who were robbing Goans by showing their Guns. Some of the biggest “Chors” and
criminals during the Portugue rule in Goa were Free Fighters.

The
others who spoke there were the great Goan Iron Lady, affectionately called as
Mummy, was Victoria Fernandes from St. Cruz who participated almost in all the
public meetings and demonstrations organized for the cause of Goa. Though she could not walk freely, she was
brought by her two aides and then she spoke so well making some cry even. Her
son Rudolf spoke so well by giving encouragement to all to oppose PDA & ODP.
Besides others, Roshan Mathias, Walter Lobo, Sabena Martins and Peter Gonsalves ALSO spoke.
Thru this meeting a
salvo was fired sending a strong message to Michael Lobo, Vijay Sardesai and the
Government.
