ANJ BODDVO.
On Sunday, 27th
of this month at 10.45 in the morning at Mapusa, I saw the Tiatro “ANJ BODDVO”
Written and directed by Pascoal de Chicalim .
Though it was not a houseful attendance wise yet it was a good number. Though the audibility in the hall is bad due
to defective Mike system yet people were
satisfied. However, next time the
directors must use their own Mike system as they do in the villages to avoid
nuisance of Mike system of the hall at Hanuman Theatre, Mapusa.

Storywise the Tiatro
was good and all the artistes played their roles well. Though they are most of them new to me yet
their performance was worth admiring especially of females deserving highest
compliments, even in singing of Side Show songs they proved their worth. The
role played by Coelho of a handicapped boy is extremely good deserving highest
award. The word Anj Boddvo is used in figurative sense indicating the birth of
a handicapped child.

Side show songs were
good but Saby de Divar’s political solo was very good. His presence had very
good effect on the Side Show and if there were few more like him the impact
would be more.
As a whole, this Tiatro
is worth admiring.

During the interval,
the chief guest Mr. A. N. Nagvenkar of “Ann Institute of Hotel Management &
Catering Technology” who is also a philanthropist businessman and a great lover
of Tiatro, financially helping many
Tiatrists to stage their Tiatros, in his
very humble speech declared his candidacy in Aldona Constituency for the
forthcoming election as an independent candidate and asked the voters to vote
for him.
