The last two articles published on goakkranti.blogspot written by Mr. Veronica Fernandes goading AVC and Navelim to purchase properties in our very own villages is just an eye opener. Our village land is being sold to outsiders and the day is not very far away when we ourselves will be in minority in our village. The village panchayats will be run by the outsiders as they will be in majority. We Goans are susegad in nature and this is gone against us. The only thing we have in expertise is to get our successful brethren down.
AVC and Navelim have accomplished many things in Kuwait through soccer and other social and cultural activities and now its time for us to do something for us back home. Mr. Veronica Fernandes can only enlighten us, but it is up to us to wake up and realise the reality. How long we will be here in this alien land? One day we have to go to our village and are we going to get our village as it is when we last left?
Many in Kuwait will care less to what Mr. Veronica says, but if we do not ponder over it then he is not the loser, but we are. Lets take a pause and think. Do we have sufficient back home when we finally leave? If not, let us start doing it right now.
Mr. Veronica as far as I am concerned a big thank you for the awakening. Yes we can.
