Where are we heading? To the right direction or somewhere in the
Jungle? A few days back a Press
Conference in Melaulim, Satari Taluka was stopped by the local Police citing
different reasons that prohibit such activities. Elsewhere so many meetings were held but Police never
stopped them. Why this step motherly treatment to Melaulim Meet only? This
action gives an indication that hard days are about to descend on us not only
in Goa but all over India because BJP has already bared its intention to wield
control over every move of every Indian citizen. By using the excuse of section 144, looters are on loot
spree all over Goa, this looks like what it is said in one of our Konkani proverbs
which says ‘DEV PODDLA BOBALLAR ANI HOCH VELL BORO IGROZ NAGOUPAK. This is what
exactly it is happening in Goa now where the Government and its machinery are
become like Kindergarten Teachers with the Sticks in their hands and pushing their
control over every student who is incapable to defend him/her from the corporal
punishment by the stupid KG Teachers in the name of guiding them in the right
direction to groom them as good citizen.
It is all rubbish, nobody In India is having his
mission to create Indians as good citizens. If it is so, India would not be producing armies and battalions of corrupt
citizens originating from our Homes and Schoola and Colleges. Even our “Dev Mandirs” are become like the
factories of producing in mass scale the
corrupt “Dev Bokts” and their followers.
Seeing all these rubbish situation prevailing now all over Goa and India
too, I feel like putting a poser to all the concerned people as “What type of
people we elected to rule Goa?” Are our elected representatives capable to defend and protect democratic
system sincerely or will they act as
Ladru Pedru type of MLA’s and Ministers
where they will do nothing except work ferociously for accumulating THE
WEALTH not only for them and for their children
and grand children but even their generations to come. See our every MLA and Minister having his
asset in crores of rupees, from where he got so much of financial power to
accumulate such vast fincial empires? And on
top of it they are not even ashamed of being exposed of their dirty methods they
used to acquire their illicit wealth, they are elected to our Legislative Assemblies
and Panchayats and Parliament not to fill their pockets but to help their
voters and other citizens to develop their
economies. But instead of developing the
economies of their constituents they are developing their own economies by robbing
the people by means of denying them of the
quota of their progress which their representative Is using for his own
benefit. In this way these elected
representatives are become crorepotis by utilizing every opportunity that they
get for the benefit of their constituents ultimately the same for their own
benefit sometimes what is surplus as residual part they share it with their
Chamchas and some members of their inner circle. Otherwise, can you point finger
for any beneficial work done by your MLA/Minister for the benefit of any of your
constutients?
Coming back to the Stopping of the Press Conference by the Police force of
the BJP government, can my own MLA who is otherwise too much talkative on any and
very topic as if he is an omnipotent and even harping on democratic values, can
he tell what has happened at Melaulim was right? Does he accept the action that his government
has taken in suppressing the voice of the people? Don’t we have freedom to express our views
where we feel injustice has been done to us? Or he like Salazarism back in
Goa? Those people in the ruling government
who are doing nothing to protect the people’s rights are enemies of the people? It is 3 years past that our MLA came to our
places in my area to beg for our votes but since then there is no sign of his,
he must stop thinking that people are fools, now in the Corona Virus plague he
should have enquired what is the state of affairs of the same people whom he
approached exactly on the eve of the last election and now he will come back
again exactly on the eve of the coming
election. My friend, you have bared your actual nature of
the proverb “Kam zalem Voiz Melo”. Don’t think migrants alone will elect you,
you are likely to face your Waterloo in the coming election if you think so though I don’t want this calamity
to fall on you because you are otherwise a nice man having sympathetic heart to
understand the difficulties of the proletarians like me since you come from the
same segment of the people.
It looks the second Emergency is coming fast after the June 1975 first
emergency was introduced by that Monster Indira Gandhi who trampled under her
feet the great democratic tradition of India, she lectured Indians on the
greatness of democracy but became the first to destroy it only to protect her
Prime Ministerial Chair and not for anything else. In the name of protecting the nation from the
internal divisive elements who otherwise were the great patriots like Jayaprakash
Narain, Morarjee Desai and others, she with the Midnight Knock at their Doors,
got them arrested and used all the inhuman methods to harass them bodily and mentally. In one word the entire opposition nationwide
was suppressed by keeping them under police/judicial lock-up and thus destroyed
all the freedoms and democratic rights given to us by our Constitution. Similar days looming over our heads is
become visible when some of our activists in Goa were arrested recently on
silly complaints and when they were arrested none of the BJP members either from
the Assembly or from outside raised his or her voice. Our MLA who is otherwise
super vocal to raise his voice against the injustice was silent. Why is this duplicity of the type of Dr. Jackyl
and Mr. Hyde? And with this type of
duality you will never succeed my
friend.
The second emergency if it comes
(God forbid first of all) it will be the
harshest one because those responsible to introduce it will be the most harsh
people as seen from the hard heartedness they indicate now. Currently our
rulers are showing scant respect for the democratic values of the people where
as it looks, even your freedom to think freely will be curtailed leave aside
freedom to express freely. The recent
arrest of 2 or 3 activists for expressing their views freely was a dangerous
beginning in the wrong direction where surprisingly our intelligentsia showed their
total silence.
