FREEDOM AT LAST.

I wholeheartedly welcome the release from the House Arrest for the last 7 years of Burmese political activist Aung San Suu Kyi. It was very encouraging scene to see her walking freely and openly along with her supporters after her release. Condemning to live in solitary confinement for the last so many lengthy years, I thought she would lose her sanity and self confidence. But no, she looked perfectly well and upright. I admire her for not talking ill of the regime that sentenced her to this solitary confinement. Instead of talking ill she talked of the language of reconciliation with the regime, truly in Ghandian way and as followed by Nelson Mandela when he was released from the prison in Soth Africa. Eye for an eye and tooth for tooth is not the proper way to solve the problem. It is only thru goodwill she can earn better dividends for her fight for introduction of genuine democracy in Burma.
I was very glad to see her very jovial after her release. Physically and mentally she looked smart and alert inspite of her long term imprisonment. Normally after serving such prison terms people lose their sanity and physical fitness. When Indira Gandhi imprisoned top Indian opposition leaders in 1975 following the introduction of Emergency Rule in India, some of the top leaders suffered different sorts of sicknesses. Even Morarjee Desai suffered but not much affected. His daily routine exercise like Yoga helped him a lot to overcome the trauma he was mentally and physically undergoing in the prison. I don’t know what exactly Aung San Suu Kyi was doing to keep her active physically and mentally.

In some countries the system is such people there easily suffer mental strokes because they are not only physically harassed but even mentally suppressed. These countries and their Governments do not allow their citizens and residents to think freely even. Why in some countries, even in some commercial organizations and in companies where people are employed there they are not even allowed to think freely. In some companies thru brute power of harsh management, employees thoughts are even suppressed. I have experienced this type of brute power enacted by my immediate Nazi type management while working under them. This type of management even blocked my free flow of thoughts. I was even denied to think freely like many others. At an appropriate time I will expose this. In this part of the world many people are suffering from this type of mental suffering and yet nobody does anything to cure this desease. Mental torturing is worst than physical torturing.

Coming back to Aung San Suu Kyi, inspite of her early life spending in Delhi where she completed her higher education, India failed to forcefully condemn Burmese regime for mistreating her. Being a democratic country, India should have done something to support her activities in favour of democratic rule in Burma. But India instead acted like a “Chamcha” of Burma. India many times failed in its duty to support the suppressed. Even during the invasion of Kuwait, India initially acted like Hamlet - indecisively - thereby giving an impression that it sided with Saddam Hussein. For this reason India does not deserve a Seat in the Security Council even though Obama during his recent visit to India promised his support for India in its efforts to get a Seat in the Security Council. India still not matured to face the world politics because it is ruled by “CHOR” politicians. Indian democracy is a fake democracy which produces only “Chor” leaders. In the name of fake Liberaton, we in Goa also started to produce more and more "Chor" leaders.
