WISHNU WAGH ACTING LIKE A "VAGH" (TIGER).

The BJP MLA Wishnu Wagh on 31.07.15 acted like a real “Vag” not in the jungle but in the Goa Legislative Assembly during the debate on MOI grant as if Assembly is his father’s property and language issue is his mother’s monopoly. Rabindranath Tagore a strong proponent of mother tongue said: “One can reach into the sea of eternal understanding only thru one’s own mother tongue”.  I also support the primary education thru one’s own mother tongue but who am I to impose my will on Goan children?  It is the responsibility of their parents and guardians to choose what is good for them and not to the government, not to me and definitely not to Wishnu Wagh and Dawlikar. Their voices became audible only because they are in the Assembly but tomorrow when they are booted out in the coming election they will be Zeroes.  The grant government gives is not from its own pocket but from the pockets of the tax payers and as such government must abide by the decision of the tax payer parents.  By giving grant government is not doing any favour, it is only doing its duty and that is the job of the government.

The rallies organized on Friday, 31.07.15 by the interested persons is an outcome of the frustration of the parents over the delay government does in getting this proposal into an Act.  This is because people in Goa has lost their faith in government assurances because this government is known as the government  of U turns and government of the Liars.

Blaming the Priests and Diocesan Society by the government and persons like Parsenkar, Wagh and Dawlikar for pushing the students to take part in the rallies against government on MOI issue without concrete evidence is a Baby Talk and based on this, to issue juvenile type of threats is nonsense. It is with the support of the same Priests and Diocese that this BJP government came to power and they alone are in a position to defeat BJP and Wishnu Wagh in the coming election.  The electorate from St. Andre constituency will surely teach Wagh a very good lesson in the next election.

What is wrong if students took part in the rallies to fight for justice?  It is their responsibility also to raise their voice against injustice.  It is only thru their agitations that justice was meted out to the society. We must know that on the advice of Ghandiji the students boycotted classes and took active part in the agitation against the government.   Even Jayprakash Narain gave  clarion call to the students community in the same manner to fight against the injustice of Indira Ghandi.  The great Mathematician cum Philosopher Prof.  Betrand Russel openly asked his students to leave the class and go and fight against the onslaught of Hitler in the last World War.

Asking the students and also the teaching staff  to leave the classes in order to participate in the agitation against the “dadagiri” of the ruling  government is not wrong.  But   cheating the people by telling lies and by taking U turns is wrong.  For this reason, FORCE movement should be supported by every right thinking Goan and in the next election the paper Tigers and Lions must be thought a very good lesson for helping to impose dadagiri on the students community.
The Waghs and Dawlikars are giving a communal turn to the FORCE movement but they must know one thing very strongly that more people seen at Azad Maidan to support Hunger Striker Lopes were not Christians but Hindus, including Muslims.
In the matter of spreading education in Goa the work of the Church cannot be belittled.  It is in these Church Schools that Waghs and Dawlikars acquired their education like any Lopes, Fernandes and Desouza.  To construct these Diocesan Schools only the persons like Fernandes and Desouzas gave their donations while all the Barking Dogs against the Priests and Diocesan Schools  enjoyed the benefits of the Diocesan Schools without their contribution. Shameless are these Pimps.

MEET THE ARTISTE "BRAZINHO SOARES".

Brazinho Soares
On 31st July 2015, I attended the programme “Meet the Artiste” at Tiatr Academy Goa, starting at 4.30 PM.  The artiste was none other than the renowned writer, playwright, singer, journalist and editor Mr. Brazinho Soares from St. Cruz,  Ilhas, Goa. He is one of the best Konkani writers in Roman script starting his writings first time in the form of a Poem in 1958.  Then he went further in writing articles for different newspapers and magazines based in Goa and Bombay and thru his writings he made a name and fame for him.  Afterwards he took up to Konkani Stage in acting, composing and writing and directing his own Plays where he gained lot of respect for him and for his writings.

While delivering his speech, he disclosed his difficult past and how he came up in life.  He also acknowledged the help of his well wishers who helped him to reach where he is now.
TAG Librarian Assucena Souza e Carvalho

Before this function, I entered in the same apartment to have a look at the Library of TAG.  It was well maintained by the very experienced Goa and Konkani lover and hard working charismatic lady Assucena Souza E Carvalho who was recently presented with a commemorative Plaque by the outgoing TAG president Prince Jacob.  This it seems a customary procedure by the outgoing president.  Prince Jacob and Joe Rose both as president and vice-president respectively completed their 3 year term and in their places new faces will be appointed by the government.  Hope somebody good persons will come.
