On second of this month in Candolim Dando, at the Bom Sucesso
Restaurant, Candolim Senior Citizens Association organized their get-together
to mark the second anniversary of the formation of their association in
Candolim. The anniversary function was
attended by the members and other especial invitees.

The chief guest was Mr. Prabakhar Timble while Dilip Borker was the
guest of honour. Both of them gave high
quality speeches and impressed the audience extremely well. Both were very
active in social and other fields.

The function started with singing of traditional Manddo with Dulpods by
the excellent group from Majorda under the leadership of Jude Michael
Gracias. It was a great Mando with the beautiful Dulpods rendered by both the lead singers Jude Michael Gracias and Valency with the excellent musical score provided by the young musicians playing the Violin,
Gumott, Guitar and other important instruments.
The vice president of this association Mr. Mahambrey, Mrs. Victoria and
Mrs. Philomena com peered the proceedings.

During the function, three prominent personalities from Candolim were
felicitated for their contribution in their activities in different
fields, namely the president of the
association Mr. A. Veronica Fernandes, Dr. Shivananda Verlekar and Luiza
D’Souza.

The vote of thanks was proposed by one of the members Mrs. Arkanj
Monteiro.
Finally the delicious lunch was served to all the attendees and closed
the function.
