R.I.P. SEZ.

Finally it is the victory of the people, for the people and by the people. No individual nor Goa Government should take credit for the scrapping of SEZ in Goa. It was the people’s power and the strong opposition to it that led to the downfall of the SEZ. Mathany Saldanha deserves compliments for being bold and gutsy but he was not the whole and sole to pressurize the Government of Goa into surrendering to the might and will of the people. Mathanay Saldanha though still having his drive to fight against the injustice committed on to the people of Goa yet he lost much of his former shine and original sincerity since he joined Parrikar and his BJP Government against the wishes of the people. When he was elected previous time by the voters of Cortalim he was elected on the anti-BJP and anti-Cong plank. When this was the case, like a “chor” he robbed the trust of the Cortalim constituents and supported anti-Christian Parrikar and his anti-Christian party BJP. Mathanay Saldanha for this sacrilege was appropriately punished by the voters of Cortalim in the last hustings. Mauwin Godinho was almost dead politically in Cortalim constituency but it was Mathanay Saldanha who resurrected him by betraying the trust of the voters of Cortalim who vehemently opposed Saldanha in the last election for supporting BJP. Mathanay Saldanha deserved this defeat in the last election otherwise he would play more mischief as if Cortalim constituency is his “Bhattacho Kuddko” and the constituents of Cortalim are his “Munddkar”. It was this type of "Bhatkarshai" mainly of the Bamon caste that led the downfall of Portuguese rule in Goa otherwise Portuguese would rule Goa for another 450 years and common Goan would force them to stay in Goa. But it was the "dadagiri" and "chickanery" of the Bhattkars especially of Christian Bamonn Bhattkars that painted a very bad image of Portuguese in Goa. Portuguese were good but our Bamon Bhattkars especially the Christians were worst who were committing worst acts against commoners in Goa in the name of Portuguese Government and Portuguese officials.

Now by joining in the opposition to SEZ Mathanay Saldanha is trying to build his for former image again. He will never succeed unless he apologises to the entire Christian community for supporting anti-Christian BJP. Mathanay Saldanay was promoted to public life and political life by the overwhelming majority of Christians mainly the Catholics and as such he should not have supported anti-Christian party BJP. As a novice of public life he was deeply supported by the Jesuits from Goa even to the extent of allowing him to stay in Jesuit House, Panjim. People in Goa should be very careful of this man. He is no more the former self of his when he spearheaded the movement in support of “Ramponkars” in Goa. He was that time a very sincere and dedicated to the cause of true Goans but later on he got himself corrupted and this corruption has gone now deep into his blood. It will be very difficult to remove it from his veins. During the language agitation in eighties he and I were very close, regularly having meetings till late at nights at Jesuit House in Panjim but once he became a Minister he even forgot to recognize me. Even Sheikhs and Kings are not doing this type of pride. This pride finally let him down. He thought he would remain as Minister for “semprak”. I strongly supported him earlier in all his movements because that time I found genuineness in him but now he is changed Mathanay Saldanha. He is now acting like a “Portuguese tempailo Bhattkar”. Osle Cansaulimche Bhattkar gelet dobean”. While supporting Mathany Saldanha people should be very selective and careful. He wants now a footing to regain the lost ground and for this reason he is now fighting against SEZ. When he spearheaded the anti-Mehta Strip campaign he was very sincere but gradually as per available reports he became puppet of Mehtas. Even the police cases filed against his supporters according to information are still active. Innocent people are suffering while Mathanay Saldanha is enjoying his original “Bhattkarponn”.

Recently he made a remark to disrupt the tourism season by telling the tourists to keep a distance from Goa. In other words he said “Boycott Tourists in Goa” if SEZ is not scrapped. Many people objected this remark and opposed him. As a last resort for his movement against British, Mahatmah Gandhi gave a call to all Indians asking them to “Boycott British Goods” and thus cripple the British economy. By boycotting the British goods the immediate victims of this boycott were the Indians only, especially small scale traders who were selling British goods. However, these Indians never uttered a single word against Gandhiji but on the contrary they all in unison followed Gandhiji’s advice and boycotted British goods. In view of this, by boycotting Tourists in Goa, would heaven fall? Was it not worth to save our land by boycotting Tourists in Goa to educate our Government? Was Mathany Saldanha wrong on this count? He may be wrong elsewhere but was he wrong in boycotting tourists? MP Francisco Sardinha said that to boycott tourists is an anti-Goan act but worst of anti-Goan acts were done by Sardinha. Marks scandal for his niece was one instance. Bringing BJP to power thru back door was the worst anti-Goan act and anti-Christian act too that Francisco Sardinha committed. He got no shame for branding others as anti-Goan when he Sardinha himself was full of anti-Goan acts. It is a shame for Congress to have him as its president in Goa. “Hem Congressuch zalam kuslolem ani kusloleanchem".

The way SEZ has been scrapped, IT Habitat of Dayananda Narvenkar must also be scrapped. It is very nice to see Monsurate supporting the scrapping of IT Habitat but is Monsurate really sincere in his opposition to this IT Habitat or is he waiting for some “lollipop” from Narvenkar or the Goa Government so that once he gets what he wants he then nicely escape and withdraw from the scene? By offering a lollipop in the form of PWD Ministry, Goa Government has temporarily silenced the opposing voice of Churchill Alemao. Is Monsurate trying the same game play? Monsurate as it is, he is having a very dubious character and people from Taleigao should be very vigilant. Normally no politician will fight for the rights of the common people and Monsurate has got a history of supporting projects which were detrimental to the health of poor Goans and Goa as a whole. Monsurate and Narvenkar are both of the same category. Be careful of these politicians. I am sure common Goans will not remain silent anymore for the mischief of our Montris and Government. “Goykar atam Uttla”. Because he is “atam uttla”, he has demolished major portion of the SEZ today and tomorrow he will demolish it in all its totality and also similar to such anti-Goan projects. The remaining three SEZ’s inspite of the opposition of Central government must be eradicated. Goa is not China to have these many SEZ. We don’t want any SEZ in Goa because it will only help the non-Goans. VIVA GOYKARA. YOU ARE REAL SON OF REAL GOAN FATHER. YOU ARE NOT THE SON OF MISTISACHO NOR PAKLEACHO NOR KOLVONTACHO. YOU ARE THE SON OF REAL GOYKAR PAICHO for this reason you fought against SEZ (Special Economic Zone). LONG LIVE PEOPLES POWER. LONG LIVE ANTI-SEZ MOVEMENT.

Sister - in - law of Xavier/Thresa Mendes, Derreck/Adeline Mendes, Thresa/David Fernandes and Emilia/Zachria Rodrigues.
