The Goa Su-Raj Party expresses solidarity with the Junior Engineer of the Electricity Department Shri. Kashinath Shetye and his wife Smt Sanyogita Shetye in the case of seeking to obtain crucial information on the life-style of our public servants who have gone on the binge of immersing themselves in luxury, none other than the Chief Secretary of the State of Goa, in this case.
The Goa Su-Raj Party lauds the efforts put in by Shri and Smt Shetye in this matter in order to expose the hidden life-style of our public men at the cost of the gullible tax-payers. Victimizations through transfers is the only weapon available to the powers that be to retaliate against this most basic tool of democracy- 'the Accountability'.
This Party is on record of having advised at least one most senior Civil Administrative Official that they should collectively refuse to follow orders which go against the grain of legality of procedures even to the extent of facing , so to speak, the 'Siberia Postings'. That there is always a limit as to what extent these 'Siberia Postings' can continue without reflecting back on the democratic conduct of the high profile.
The Goa Su-Raj Party is proud of Shri. and Smt. Shetye and congratulates them to no end for their determined stand, and do hope that this incidence gives birth to more daring Shetyes in time to come to expose the doings of the powers that be at the cost of the tax-payers.
