ANCESTRAL GOA - BIG FOOT LOUTOLIM GOA.

Ancestral Goa is a place in Goa located at Loutolim, Salcette.  It is an open air  museum spread over 9 acres of land and it is only one of its kind in whole of Goa.  Such museums are existing in many parts of the world.  This place in Loutolim is very good tourists attraction that depicts the culture and tradition of Goa and  also trades Goans followed in ancient Goa.

A. Veronica with Alvares

On 13th of this month along with my wife I visited this place for the second time, earlier visit was 20 years back.  During this trip there I found lot of changes and much improvement compared to our first visit.  Even I found the boss of this museum Mr. Maendra Jocelino Araujo Alvares though grown in age yet massively changed towards betterment just as the open air museum.  A very cool and charismatic personality, Alvares is doing his level best to make this Ancestral Goa as interesting as possible with the assistance of his son and daughter and about 50 employees working.

Interesting facts are written in above leaflets

It is my request to expatriate Goans from Kuwait,  other Gulf countries and also other parts of the world, during their vacation in Goa to visit this beautiful and historically important spot to know Goa of their past and of their ancestors.

Because of its important historical background lot of Indian and foreign tourists are pouring there everyday in the midst of whom very few Goans are spotted. Goans must feel proud to have such a project existing on their soil as I and my wife feel.

Next to this open air museum, there is a palatial ancient house of Alvares, 251 years old where antiques and other  very interesting ancient household items are preserved.  The more you watch these items the more you are tempted to spend your time watching these items. The lucid explanation provided by the Guides there makes your visit to this ancient house a very memorable.

NEW TIATRO "AMI JIKHLE".

Above seen are: Tari-Antonette-Philipe-Willy-Dola

Yesterday, 13th of this month, at 3.40 PM in Margao at Pai Tiiatrist Hall, I had an opportunity to see the new Tiatro “AMI JIKHLE” written and directed by Philipe Almeida.  It was a presentation of both husband and wife Philipe Almeida and comedy queen Jannet. The hall was almost packed with capacity attendees.

Trio song of Jr. Nelson-Marcus Vaz - Francis de Tuem

The story revolved around  two families, one of Tari and his wife Antonette de Maina and the other of Willy and Dola. Both the couples played their roles well, Tari as usual did his part extremely good so too Willy as husbands of Antonette and Dola respectively.  Due to their better looks Wily and Dola captured the hearts of the audience.  Willly was at his best especially at the particular moment when he turned drunkard.  That was a very beautiful part of his role displaying much genuineness.

Seen Comedian Jannet

Nice looker Dola with her appropriate dress code befitting the system of Tiatro without vulgarity and also with her very good clarity of  expression like that of her late father Valente Mascharenhas, stole the show. Philipe Almeida also played a very good role especially as a blind.
Both the children of Com.Jnnet & Philipe

The comedy part was handled by Agostinho Temudo who as usual was witty and sarcastic especially against politicians, he did justice to his role and he was ably supported in furthering the comedy part by Jannet, Ambe and Richard. They tore the politicians into pieces especially the Panchayat level ones for being excessively corrupt by taking unimaginable bribe. Comedian Jannet played her role very well as a corrupt Sarpanch.

Attractive Dola and Handsome Willy in romantic mood

In the side show songs, Jr. Nelson deserved the highest compliments for rendering a very wisdomatic solo on Lorna, Chris Perry and the movie “Nachoya Kumpasar”.  Jr. Nelson heavily criticized this movie makers for creating unnecessary scandal of Lorna without due permission from her for doing this movie.  If possible, any Bom Samaritan or social activist must come forward to reprimand thru the legal process the makers of this movie.

Tari is seen with the new born baby

Both the children of Jannet and Philip rendered a nice duet and both are showing lot of signs that they will not only imitate their parents but even outbeat their seasoned Tiatrists father and mother.

The other songs deserved especial mention was of Francis de Tuem’s solo on Censorship of Tiatro, Benny de Aldona’s solo on Pe. Agnel, Pe. Jose Vaz and Goencho Saib and a duet by Willy and Dola as a Priest and a Nun.

In their political trio Jr. Nelson-Marcus Vaz – Francis de Tuem makes total mockery of Chief Minister Parsekar and BJP in Goa.

 Congratulations to Jannet and Philipe.
