They will meet their arch rivals Navelim Youth Center-Kuwait who in thrashed Bombay Boys 5-0.
The match between AVC-Kuwait and Kerala Challengers rose to frantic heights as both teams tried to take control of the game. AVC-Kuwait with their traditional one touch football took the steam out of the Kerala players. Kerala mostly relied on long balls which were bottled up by the strong AVC defense led by Vincy Pereira and Joseph Quadros. AVC missed easy sitters in the first half. In the first quarter of play Kerala Challengers goalkeeper made a diving save to avoid Kevin’s volley entering the nets. The first half ended without either side scoring any goals.

The match was stopped for around 15 minutes but better sense prevailed and the Kerala Challengers continued with the game. Hats off to the Kerala players, committee and fans alike for their continuous fair play and disciplinary attitude shown on Sour grounds among the Indian expatriate community in Kuwait.
The second goal was copybook two touch football from AVC players with Liston providing Kevin with a neat pass on the edge of the 16 yard box. the latter put the ball in style across the far corner of the net thereby increasing his tally to 15 goals this season -- the highest among goalscorers.
The other semi-final between Navelim Youth Center & Bombay Boys was a one sided affair. Bombay Boys without most of their key players were a pack of novices on the field, succumbing as early as the 5th minute of the match to a 'straight volley' by Duarte Ferrao. After that it was Navelim all the way pumping in 5 goals at regular intervals.
The Finals to be played on Friday 18th May, 2007 between the two rivals is going to be a thriller. Without their key players Alvaro Dias (former Churchill Bros goalkeeper), Francis Senior (C), Vincy & Joseph , AVC will need to rely on their stand-in Captain Francis Jr. to guide and maneuver the young AVC brigade.
