TIATRIST "PRADEEP NAIK".FELICITATED.

PRADEEP NAIK is currently one of the best Konkani Stage artistes and among the few Hindu artistes shining on Konkani Stage more beautifully.  I must rate Pradeep  Naik as the best among all.  His forte lies in doing serious roles very strongly and appropriately.

Hindus are known to act in Marathi Nattaks in Goa while Christians in Konkani Tiatros.   The late Alexinho de Candolim probably was known to introduce for the first time on Konkani Stage some of the Hindus in his professional Tiatros somewhere in late forties/early fifties,  two of them were Roghlo from Calangute and Kanta Divkar from Arpora.  They were important artistes of his troupe and they gained the expertise in this field by participating earlier in the Marathi Nattaks where the  standard was very high.  Alexinho Candolim was expert in using the young talents of these youngsters then and as an ace natural director without proper high educational background nor proper expertise and training in this field, he acquired their services to promote and to flourish our Konkani Stage.

Then came on the Konkani Stage the most popular Hindu artiste, Kamat de Assolna from Assolna, Salcette who was a very good singer, composer, director and script writer. He appeared on Konkani Stage  in early fifties and very quicly in mid fifties he blossomed fruitfully with a fury where he carried the Tiatro followers with him  in big number. However, shortly then after he migrated for greener pastures to Portuguese Africa in Beira where too he displayed his stage talent  occasionally.

Currently there  are some  Hindu Tiatrists among us on Konkani Stage who are very dedicatedly serving the Konkani Stage and a few of them are Comedian Ambe, Ullas Tari, Miss Shrutti  and Pradeep Naik. My choice as my favourite goes without any hesitation to Pradeep Naik not only  because he is  a very good actor on the Stage but in his personal life too he is a very good human being and above all as I am aware he is the morally upright man and an upright husband and upright father. His upright persona life reflects on his Stage life. 

Yesterday, along with others from Tiswadi Goa, he was felicitated by the “125^th Anniversary of Tiatr Celebrations Committee: Tiatr Academy of Goa and Directorate of Art and Culture”, in Panjim at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, at 4.00 PM for his excellence on Konkani Stage and his enormous contributions in the promotion of Tiatros.  Earlier too, Pradeep Naik received lot of prizes for his contribution in the promotion of Konkani Stage.  I am very happy to see Pradeep Naik receiving the latest award and for this I congratulate Pradeep Naik.

Yesterday, 24^th of this month, I saw the Tiato “BHOGSONNE” written and directed by Rosario Leitao, in Anjuna at 8.00 PM staged in the Church compound.  Though attendancewise it was rather poor but performancewise it was rich where every artiste though almost all looked semi professional and amateur, yet they gave sterling performance.

The story is based on forgiveness and well meant for this Lent season. All the artistes played their roles well deserving compliments.

Musical score was well provided  by John Rodrigues and his troupe including three priests from Sanguem, one Fr. Tadev playing Drums, the other Fr. Myron playing Sexaphone and the third one Fr. Mark playing Guitar. The Sound system was manned by Abishek Pondacar.

THE THREE SHAMELESS TRAITORS OF GFP.

It is with deep regret I read in the local daily that Mr.  Prabakhar Timble the founder president of Goa Forward has also resigned from the membership of the party as a mark of protest against party MLAs' decision to join BJP when earlier they expressed openly that they will never.  This was the grand betrayal by the suddenly turned traitor Vijay Sardesai who has betrayed the trust of its supporters. It was never  expected from Vijay who made mockery of the trust people had in him. He is such a Traitor and un-Goan in character that I pray to God never in future among Goan women to create a womb that will give birth to such an evil Traitor who does not care for the integrity of his supporters.  He is such an irresponsible un-Goan man that he never thought of the truthfulness, dignity and integrity of all the innumerable supporters who voted for GFP .  Oh! What an irresponsible man he is! 

Through this betrayal Vijay Sardesai and his other two Judases who were till recently unknown entity but became cowardly some body have totally failed to protect the upright image of their voters. These are the traitors who are  immune to the feelings of their voters who are become totally dejected by the betrayal of their representatives. Don’t these traitors have parents, wives and children to correct them? Or they too belong to the same ideology of “Kam zalem voiz melo ?”    Their going to their Temples for performing religious rites is an act of insult to their religion because no religion teaches to be traitors. This defection resembled the first defection in Goa in late sixties when 5 UGP MLA’s  defected to Bandodcar’s MGP.  Incidentally, within a short period all of them were disgraced including my neighbor Valent Sequeira who died as unsung hero.

At least there is one politician in Goa who showed courage and wisdom to declare his sincerity towards his Party’s principle and also his high grade integrity. This is  Mr. Prabakar Timble whom I applaud for dissociating from his party which is manned by corrupt and traitors and also shameless.  Dr. Renuka agreeing to replace Mr. Timble without opposing Vijay and his colleagues for joining BJP is an act of juvenile girl.  I  don’t know how my other friends in GFP like Prashant who was so vocal like Vijay against BJP has succumbed to the Lollipops offered to them. After all, personal benefits outpace party’s principles.  This is the tragedy of our Democracy which was imposed on us by Bharat Serkar in the name of forced liberation on 19^th December 1961.  This liberation is good only for the corrupt and the Bastartised Goans who are so selfish that they are ready even to dole their wives and daughters to those who are giving them power and money.

You may rightly ask who I am to write an Open Letter to you. The answer is--I am nobody--a Nobody really. And my credentials? None whatsoever. Yet my main claim is that I claim that we are friends.  Also, because both of us are fathers and grandfathers therefore we are naturally concerned about the future well-being of our children, grandchildren

It's well said that "a politician thinks of the next election but a Statesman thinks​ of the next generation.".

Bab Luizinho, is it not long past time that  you and all other "grandfathers in politics," who so desperately still lust for power and pelf, to step aside instead of stepping on and crushing the future well-being of the scores of generations​ of your family? I am intentionally focusing​ on "your family," because I am fully convinced now, that your concern is only yourself, your power, your position and your personal gains.

I am sure that you will remember that all niz Goenkars didn't vote for BJP in the previous elections​, but voted against your unbearable, corrupt and arrogant Congress Party, as I did, if I may disclose my vote. And in this elections​, all niz Goenkars, didn't vote for your Congress Party, but voted against BJP, that had become much worse than your Congress Party. I will take the liberty to tell you that in the recent elections, I did not 

vote for BJP of course, nor did I vote for the Congress Party, because I developed a severe aversion to it, from 1961 and at no time, did l find any reason, in all these years, to feel any positive vibes towards your Congress Party. But the vital question is--"What did you do with the 17 seats that Goenkars gave your Congress Party?"

First, you abetted Vijay Sardesai to commit socio-political suicide, by betraying him for the 3rd. time in quick succession. No person commits suicide, unless she/he is driven to desperation. You and you alone, bab Luizinho did that and as a result, all niz Goenkars' frustration has reached a breaking point. All the violent press-statements, letters​ against Vijay Sardesai are public expressions of the mortified minds and hearts of all niz Goenkars, because they loved him unconditionally. Such heart-breaks and aches would not have happened if it any other politician, other than A. Reginalo Lourenco, Vijay Sardesai's kindred soul, would have done the same.

All niz Goenkars loved Vijay Sardesai, because of his passionate, open, love-affair with his/our Goem which he visualised as our tall, graceful, coconut tree. After-all,every one loves a lover!  I am sure Vijay Sardesai knew fully the implications of his supporting the BJP government; that he would become a persona-non-grata with the very Goenkars who loved him and had, vaguely perhaps, pinned hopes that he would lead a Goan Political Party, that we need so desperately.  And soon. Bab Luizinho, you and all others out there must wake up to the reality that the so-called National Parties do not care for our Goem or for Goenkars, because we are a Conquered people(Supreme Court of India--"Mons.S.F.X. dos R. Monteiro V/s State of Goa"--A.I.R. 1979, pg.329,SC) and a conquered people have no rights, no right to make demands, but have only duties towards the 

Conquerer, though occasionally we make the right noises and go through motions of elections, the non value of which, we have seen again and again. Scratch the surface of Digvijay, the omniscient from the almighty High Command in Delhi and you will see how he really does not care for you nor respects you. 

Analyse also the Supreme Court ban for all bars within 500mts. including for your "Keserval Resort", at Keserval. Where else is this 500mts.ban for bars really applicable, other than in our Goem? And the now the push to Nationalise our rivers and to convert our inner roads into Highways and that too, by destroying​/damageing human and animal habitats and by slaughtering​ thousands of our age-old majestic trees. Do Goenkars really need these Highways? For whose benefit or enjoyments are all these and other "developments" thrust upon Goem and Goenkars? It is necessary to remember that our Goem is their Playground and Goemkars, their Playthings. Just two days before the recent election results,Vijay rightly stated that our Goen is a "colony again."We have neither the choice nor the voice, to safeguard our concerns and aspirations. This is why we need a Goan Political Party soon, but you bab Luizinho, caused a set-back for its possibility, in the near future, by back-stabbing Vijay Sardesai 3 times, by your doings, non-doings and undoings.

In your so many, many years in prominent positions in the Goa and Deihi Governments, with close contact with the Almighty of your "High Command,"what did you do for the EXCLUSIVE benefit of our Goem and Goemkars? About your work to protect the "Special Status" of the N.E.States,we know, but we do not know about your work for the same, for our Goem!

Five years ago, your Congress Party thrust the communal BJP upon Goenkars and now you, as the President of GPCC as well as a well connected senior Party man, did it again. I cannot accept that you allowed Digvijay to overrule you,in whatever decisions you meant to take, for the good of Goemkars and our Goem. Nothing like this is tolerated by Political Party authorities, anywhere in India.

In the stormy clouds that you enveloped​ our Goem with, I see Vijay Sardesai, whom we have painted as the sinister evil, as the only"silver lining,"who will struggle to protect and save all things Goan, with generous, I am sure, fatherly advice from bab Digambar Kamat.Vijay Sardesai will need our prayers.

 

Bab Luizinho, only God can forgive you as only God can save and protect all Goenkars and our Goem, because politicians like you,will not even try to ameliorate our sinking that has begun.

TIATRO "MOGACHIM FULAM" BY LAWRY TRAVASSO.

Yesterday, Saturday, 18^th of this month, I saw the Tiatro “MOGACHIM FULAM” written and directed by the well-known Tiatrist Lawry Travasso, at Kala Academy, Panjim, morning at 10.20.

Even though this was the third Show in the same hall yet it was still well attended by the audience, of  course some Chairs were empty.  The fourth and probably the last Show in Panjim is scheduled at the end of this month.

Let me be very frank and say that this is a well scripted, well directed, well acted by all the artistes – males and females – and well performed. The musical  score was well provided by the well-known music director Norman Cardoso and his troupe.

The language and style used in this Tiatro is rich and full of Sayings.  It reminded me of the scripts  of J.P. Souzalin who used to similarly enrich his Tiatros by using such rich Sayings.

John de Silva & Jannet - a comedy scene

The story is surrounded on family life in which  wife  of one young couple does not get a child even after few years of marriage and because of this she is harassed and maltreated by her husband who even tortured her making her life very miserable.  Everyone calls her “Vanxttem” that saddens her very much and then the story reaches to its climax whbich must be seen by attending the Show to enjoy maximum.

The roles played both by Franky and Antonette de Maina as husband and wife were superb, Antonette especially during torturing scene was the best. Her one sorrowful Canto was beautiful however next time for such songs more sweetness and serenity is required to sound it Silky. Secondly she must pay more attention to the dresses she wears especially the rich Sarees at home.  The others who played their roles well were Tari as Priest, Mario Menezes and Rosy Alvares as husband and wife and Philip Almeida as younger brother and later on in priestly robe.

Comedy part though lacked the required punch yet it was well performed by all the comedians including comedian Jannet.

The Side Show songs were well rendered by all the singers but especial mention must be made to the beautiful solo by Peter de Arambol on late  S. Lemos, Lawry Travasso on “Dusro”, Duet by Tony de Ribandar with Antonette de Maina, Marcus Vaz solo on Vices and of course by Francis de Tuem on political topic where he tears Parricar into peces.

RESIGNATION OF VISWAJIT RANE.

The resignation of Viswajit Rane from Congress Party and also from the Legislative Assembly is an act of a Traitor.  It is also an act of frustration. Without power and prominence he is like a fish out of water. When one has power one has money, when one has money one has luxury and then  one goes for ample of illicit sex with all the “Pamprelam” and “Cheddio”. The Sin of Narvenkarism is now on move.  All these facilities one can easily obtain when a corrupt Romeo turns into a corrupt politician.  Younger the MLA/Minister more rampant is the illicit sex in exchange for political favours.

Congress is a sinking ship noew and it needs help. Though it was almost sunk after the last election of 2012 but thru people’s power and support it was rescued from going down.  The revival of Congress in the recent election of 2017 was not due to the efforts of Viswajit Rane nor of Luizinho Faleiro. It was due to the people’s revolt against Hitlerism of BJP.  It was not and never the Luizinho Faleiro  who revived the Congress Party in Goa.  Neither Viswajit Rane who by recklessly resigning simply indicated his frustration over the Congress fiasco in missing the opportunity to form the government. He could have easily debated his frustration in the Congress family instead of fleeing from Congress.

 

Viswajit Rane I think felt that he missed the opportunity to become the Minister once again. But he must know one thing that he by resigning has betrayed the trust of his voters.  Voters have elected him only as their representative in the Legislative Assembly.  Giving the ministerial post is the job  of the Chief Minister. In view of this, Viswajit Rane’s resignation is against the decision of the voters who elected him in his constituency.  Resigning in this manner is an insult to the voters.

Viswajit Rane is brought up like a prince since  his father Sr. Rane was the Cabinet  Minister first in Bandodcar’s ministry as Law Minister.  Being the son of the Cabinet Minister throughout his life he acquired the mind set of a prince to lord over others.  In such a situation, he cannot accept to be nobody and to be nothing. He is brought up since his childhood as somebody and to be somebody. Hence, his lust for political power thru which he will get everything he needs except Heaven.  Minus this power, he is like a fish out of water, that means his survival for his acquiring whatever he needs depends upon this political power.  When Congress failed to form the ministry, he was totally disappointed and lost too.  Hence, his resignation from Congress with a promise by Parricar as it was given to understand that “you leave Congress and join BJP and get re-elected as BJP MLA whence BJP will give one portfolio to you”.

THE GREATEST BETRAYAL BY THREE GOAN TRAITORS.

The first  political defection in Goa  from one party to another was initiated by 5 UG MLA’s  somewhere in late Sixties when they joined Bandodcar’s MGP, one of them was Valente Sequeira  my “ghanv bhav” from Calangute constituency. Immediately after their defection, Dr. Jack Sequeira, as Opposition Leader, called public meetings in all the constituencies of all the 5 defectors, in Calangute it was  held at foot-ball ground. 

And thus spoke Dr. Sequeira in Konkani:

“Tumi meetingek aileat hanga, tor atam vochat Candolim Valentichea  ghora ani font marun tachem dhar moddat, bitor vochon tachea bokddechea khaddak dhorun taka bhair haddat ani tachi tuminch nit korat kiteak tanne tumkam fottoilet visvas ghat korun tumcheam motancher. To zaun assa ek Judas ghatki zanne Jesuk ghat kelolo.”

Earlier one more speaker very piercingly  spoke saying “only the illegitimate persons  who know their mothers only but not their fathers, commit such betrayals.  And you know who are the persons who does not know their fathers". We know what we call these illegitimate persons.

My advice to all the constituents of all the three elected representatives of GFP to organize some sort of movements of resistance in front of their residences to shame them  and to follow them with black flags wherever they go.  To do this you need not be in big number, even a  few dedicated persons will do. These defectors must not be given peaceful sleep because they have spoiled the peaceful sleep of entire Goa.

I cannot imagine how the 2 “Kalche Porche Potte” as MLA’s, namely Jayees from Saligao and Palyekar from Siolim gathered courage to  defect to BJP so early when they first should fortify their base in their constituencies! Jayees Salgaocar when I attended his public meeting in Saligao just before the election, he so openly and so loudly declared saying “I will never join BJP”. Now,  this act of his is worse than that of St. Peter when he denied Jesus Christ while he earlier embraced Jesus.  What type of human beings are these three GFP MLA's?  How they three of them dared to undo the mandate given to them by the thousands of voters?  Don’t they come from proper parentage?  Don’t they have proper family background and proper family character?  They acted, by joining the BJP, as coming from “Rostad family background”.  

A person with good family background will never commit  an act of betrayal.  By committing an act of betrayal they have brought disgrace not only on them but also on their families, class, caste and everything related to them.  Do their religion which they practice tell them to  betray others?  No religion tells you to commit betrayal but by committing the betrayal these traitors brought bad name to their otherwise best religion. 

The biggest mistake of all the three MLA’s of GFP was to join BJP when they came into existence under GFP only to defeat the BJP. Voters elected them to unseat BJP whom these voters did not want to be in power. They may give any number of reasons to justify their wrong act  but they have no justification because they have no right to join any other party leave aside BJP.  If they were the real sons of their real fathers then they would not join any party but instead would occupy the Seats in the Assembly separately under GFP. People gave them the mandate not to join BJP and by joining BJP they are all three of them are dubbed as ‘TRAITORS”.  They have enriched the pages of history book with one more chapter called “The Greatest Betrayal” which will remain recorded in the history books while the benefits they got from this betrayal will surely one day come to an end but never the records of history books.

NEW TIATRO "KAKLUT KORAT" BY WILLS COLLIEBOY.

Yesterday,12^th of this month,  in Panjim at Kala Academy Hall, at 3.30 PM, I saw the new Tiiatro “KAKLUT MHOJI KOR”, written and directed  by Willy Silveira.  I can rightly say that this is one of the best Tiatros of the recent history storywise, directionwise, actingwise, sideshowise and otherwise too.

Though poorly attended yet it was very well performed by all the artistes where the special credit must go to lovely looking Roshan whose role of a faithful mother of a handicapped son was excellent. Willy played captain inning very well  in beautifully playing the role of the handicapped boy.  Attractive Dola played her role well opposite Juju as her husband, so too Pascoal Rodrigues.  Comedy was superbly performed  by both the ace comedians Humbert and Agostinho deserving highest compliments. It was clean and decent comedy without any vulgarity.

In the side show songs, all songs were interesting, though there was not a single politial song yet the side show went very well. Though some of the heavyweight artistes were missing yet their absence went unnoticed.  Benny de Aldona was at his best in all his songs so too Cajetan de Curtorim, Mini Mario, Peter – Roshan – Benzor.  Others too performed well.

The story is surrounded on a handicapped boy who is hated by his father and throws him  out of the house.  The mother also goes with her son and then the very interesting part unveils which must be witnessed by seeing the Tiatro.

Though the story is a family story yet it is woven around spiritualism where Biblical references and   quotations are used. Besides in this story you find lot of information on many world renown incidents whereby one can easily gauge the high intellectual capacity of the script writer Willy. This was his first Tiatro in his 17 years Tiatro career and being first he wrote and directed so well deserving highest compliments.

RE-EMERGENCE OF CONGRESS.

Congratulations to the Democratic system existing in Goa and this democratic election process that has just completed by electing 40 MLA’s is to be applauded. Kudos to all the defeated candidates for accepting their defeat  democratically.

Congress Party  deserves highest compliments for coming back from the worst defeat it suffered from BJP, thanks for their apology and forgiveness they sought from the Goans for being rude, arrogant and corrupt in their previous tenures.  It is good for the major portion of Goans to forgive Congress and give them again majority of MLA’s in this election. It is up to them now to prove their worth and their maturity by following the democratic methods  to form their next ministry without creating rifts among themselves.  Congressmen are known in Goa as power hungry and to get it they will even initiate defection as it happened in the past. The power hungry youngsters in the party must be warned in advance not to play mischief at the time of ministry formation.  The oldies in the party especially the former CM's must act sensible otherwise they will destroy what has been gained in this election. 

Congressmen must now respect their voters who reposed their trust in them again to act sensible and for God sake please do not fight for ministerial berths.  What is imperative now is to dethrone BJP from power and for that you asked the voters to give you the mandate which was finally given to you however slim it may be. We cannot afford to hand over power again to the communal  party that acts in an arrogance  way.  Let all the wrong decisions done by the previous government be undone starting with “Madd” to be reconverted into  “Madd”.

The defeat of Parsenkar was a very bitter defeat due to his blindness towards the genuine grievances of the people and his arrogance even though I  admire his immediate decision to resign as CM however, his statement that Goans made a big mistake by giving a fractured mandate is itself his big mistake.

The elected government must now work for the good of Goa and Goans without being partial only towards their supporters.

TIATRISTS AND THEIR CONCUBINES.

On 28^the  of last month I attended the meeting, “Meet the Artiste”  in Panjim at Tiatro Academy Auditorium, organized by TAG only. The artiste to be met on that day was one of the senior most Tiatrists  “Titta Preto” who came all the way from Bombay to attend this programme.

After the proceedings got over, the question time came for Mr. Preto to answer. Taking advantage of this previllege, I posed the following question to Mr. Pretto:

“KHUINCHEA TIATRISTAN POILENCH NAIKINNPONN SURVAT KELEM?”

There was a bit of silence immediately after my question, Titta  Pretto was unable  to grasp the question, others looked to be confused, still among the audience members some thought the word “NAIKINN” was a bad word, somebody said it means “Prostitute”, one person said it is a personal question and still others felt it was an inappropriate word not meant to be uttered in such a forum.  Then I noticed this whole scenario and I told everybody there that the word Naikinn is a word used to refer to “Kumar” or Mistress and went still one step further and used the appropriate word in English meaning “Concubine” that means “NAIKINNPONN” means “Concubinage”.

There was no answer to my question  but a bit of confusion in the Auditorium.  Then I realized that either my question was not properly understood or merit no answer.  In order to avoid further confusion, I withdrew my question.

Now,  let me be more elaborative.  As I said above, the word Naikinn is a right word for Concubine in English and in the current phase of Tiatrists, as I was given to understand, some Directors are shamelessly infested with this vice of Concubinage having Concubines from their own troupe.  This is a SINFUL vice which goes against the morality, dignity and religion.  By keeping a Concubine you supersede your wife and those Tiatrists and Directors who keep Concubines are known to mistreat their real wives.  This is yet another grave Sin.  Earlier in the past this type of Sin was called in Tiatro circle as a Sin of “ROCHAISM” because according to my information the great yesteryear Tiatirst and Director Saib Rocha was the first Tiarist to keep a Concubine from his own troupe about some years back. After him there came and are many Tiarists and Directors who followed in the footsteps of Saib Rocha who was advised by some of his friends to stop this Rochaism but he refused.  His last days were very bad as he died an unsung, unadored, uncared and undignified hero in the Azilo of Provedoria. His Concubine was all powerful in his troupe, her decision was final and her word was like this “if comrade Napolean said yes, it must be yes”.  Because of her power, Saib Rocha had to forfeit some his own powers which weakened his authority and dignity that ultim ately many times affected the quality of his Tiatros, his personal dignity, respect in his troupe and society.

Similarly, some of the Concubines of our modern days Directors are also imitating the first known Concubine in all respects.  They are called not only Naikinnim but also "Naginnim" and because of this, our Tiatrists and Directors having Concubines which is an act of immorality and Sin, I hope will not finally land into the Azilos. They may be thinking that their Sinful acts are remained hidden under the petticoats of their Concubines but  no, everything is transparent for everyone to see.  The modern Saib Rochas are traitors, they preach one doctrine of uprightness from the Stage and perform something different doctrine in their personal life.  For this reason people do not take their messages seriously and hence their Tiatros and Songs do not create the necessary effect in our Society. The Tiatros and Songs of many of our Tiatrists and Directors are meant just to pass time even though they perform innumerable Stages.

THEY DESERVE CASH PRIZE TOO.

Good deed by Tiatr Academy of Goa in organizing the 3 three days “Zomnivoilo Khell” competition from 3^rd to 5^th of this month at Kala Academy premises, in the open air, on the ground.  It was very interesting competition in which the Play  “TONDAR HANS FATTLEAN GANS” by the husband and wife pair of Jose & Ivon  where the latter played an excellent role. It was full of comedy she played and of course it was witty too.  All the contestants in all the Plays performed well but yet some ingredients of original “Zomnivoilo Khell” were found missing in all the Plays.  For example, the most important musical instrument Clarinet was missing in the Band, the Sastti tune for the songs was also found missing.  These two requirements  make the Zomnivoilo Khell commendable.  Third thing, the Cover for the artistes to change their dresses is not put up in the original Zomnivoilo Khell where everything is transparent because there is no change of dress in the original khell system.

TAG is the government funded body and as such the organizers must be having sufficient funds and hence they should have made some provision to allocate certain amount for  prize money to the prize winners and not just Certificates and Mementoes.  According to my information TAG is in the habbit to return some money back to government for not being able to utilize the entire grant government gives. If this is true then they must be imitating Dayananda Bandodcar during his early period as Chief Minister of Goa when he was returning some money back to Centre for being idiot to return back when he should have spent the entire amount scientifically for the development of Goa. 

Bandodcar lacked proper education to run his post and thus he failed to utilize the Central funds properly. Just because he had brute mandate Bandodcar became CM otherwise he and his team were unfit to rule Goa. “Ghoribancheam bhurgeank Pomburpechim Festam Kiteak?”  “Har nachta mhonn Ghanddoi nachlear zata?” Thus go our proverbs.

FR. BISMARQUISM IS STILL ALIVE.

When the great Greek Philosopher Socrates of ancient Greece was killed by swallowing the Cup of Hemlock, the authorities responsible to kill him thus thought that Socratism or the doctrine of Socrates will come to an end and thereby the authorities of the time in Greece will have no opposition. But no, after his death, the doctrine of Socrates became more powerful thru the followers of Socrates who realised that Socrates was killed by the then government because he was attacking the authorities then for not doing the right justice for the people.

Then the followers of Socratism revolted against the government, this opposition the government found difficult to control than the opposition of singular Socrates.  This was like “Kelem tukam ani zalem maka”. 

Similarly, according to stories circulating, the government was involved in liquidating Fr. Bismarque who was according to his followers was killed to silence his voice against misdeeds of the government.  The government thought immediately after killing him he will be forgotten.  But no, it is more than a year now that his dead body is lying in the morgue and yet he remained unforgotten hero for his followers who are still making use of his doctrine to keep his memory alive.

In the recently concluded Carnival Floats in Margao and Panjim one of the prize winning  Floats was the one depicting Fr. Bismarquism as indicated in the photo given above.  Seen in that photo are in front Kennedy, Jessy and Dlavi – all three in black T.Shirts. They are spreading the message of Fr. Bismarque even though physically he is no more alive.

PRINCE JACOB THE EXCELLENT ORATOR.

It was a convocation ceremony in Delhi University many years back, Dr. Radakrishna the president of India was the chief guest while Hindi Film actor Balrajshani was the main speaker.  Being a film actor everybody underestimated him by downplaying his ability in such a forum, before his speech.  But once started, the vast knowledge with full of wisdom stored in his brain started flowing like a fountain even surprising the president who was the most wisdomatic man. Balrajshani in his speech found fault in our education system formed by the British to produce good Clerks for its Railway system.

After his speech he received standing ovation from the hall packed audience and then it was realized that he was highly educated film actor full of knowledge and wisdom. During those days he was MA and follower of Communist ideology.  He was a super actor and those who have  seen him acting in “Ek Full Do Mali” will surely agree with me.

Similarly, on 26^th of last month, Tiatrist Prince Jacob surprised everyone including me when he delivered his beautiful oratory during the meet in Panjim to mark the 26^th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait, this meet was organized  by Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center.

The speech contained all the ingredients such as informative matter, wisdomatic words, good delivery, attractive tone and charismatic presentation. His expression on the gratitude towards Kuwait for affording Goans facilities to work in Kuwait was accepted by both the Kuwaitis with great pleasure.

When he stood on the podium to speak, many among the audience thought “what this tiatrist will talk in this high caliber forum?”  But once started, everyone attending this meet was glued to the mike, including his beautiful wife and daughter who were also attending this meet. Thru this speech he proved Tiatrists are also good orators. Besides, as I know him from close angle, Prince Jacob is very helpful, compassionate and charitable person.  As I am told, both the visiting Kuwaitis were deeply impressed by his speech  and would like to welcome him during his next trip to Kuwait.
