The biggest problem in
our political system is the VIP culture that we inherited from our former
colonial masters and that our elected politicians are following. Because of the cheap craze for acquiring VIP
culture our political leaders are doing all sorts of nonsense to gain political
power and those who already got this power they try all sorts of chicaneries to
regain their political power. In the
bargain these politicians are even committing worst sorts of crimes namely
financial and physical to grab political power.
This happens because our political leaders are hungry for honour because
they are suffering from ancestral inferiority complex and precisely because of
this inferiority complex they want to imitate our colonial masters. Thus they
want to gain the psychological feeling that they are not from the inferior
background but from superior.
It is a pity that none
of the political leaders are surrendering this temporary honour of VIP culture
even though they can easily do this because they are not born and brought up in
VIP culture. In fact most of them are brought up like third
class people. Though VIP culture is an artificial honour yet no body is willing
to give it up because every political leader in our country in general and Goa
in particular wants to be accepted as a feudal lord and a Maharaja. When the
Ladru of our constituency got a Lal Batti Pilot Car he thought he won the
world, but what a pity, after getting a kick in the subsequent election
nobody knows where his whereabout is. Such
pride is performed by the persons coming from the very low strata and parentage.
See their pose when
they travel in the VIP cars, see the way they stay in Altinho government
provided Bungalows, see the way they interact with the people as if they are
omnipotent, see the way they talk to the people when they are approached by
them to solve their grievances. When
they talk to the people they talk as if they are the sons of Saddam Hussein and
Hitler. Why is this exorbitant pride?
Good that they are Monarchs only for a short period otherwise they would
act like Barberians. On top of it they
shamelessly perform their religious rites in the religious places as if they
are closer to God. For such Barberians
God will never give His Blessings.
Now, I would like to
know from every political party and every election contestant their views
openly on this topic and whether they will surrender the VIP culture once they
gained the political power. Goa Su’uraj
Party has already openly declared in one of their public meetings held in
Panjim recently that they are against this VIP culture and if elected they will
never follow the VIP culture.
