UG Trophy: KGA go through next round with a big win

The first match was between FC Sparx and Kuwait Goans Association. FC Sparx started the game well playing a lot of attackin football and troubled the KGA defence.  They had a good chance to take a lead in the game but the KGA keeper did well the keep the ball out of the net. In response KGA started passing well in the midfield and started creating some good chances. Both the teams looked to score in the first half but none were able to find the back of the net.  A long range strike from Agnelo Martins gave the lead to KGA in the first half even though FC Sparx had more shots on target. In the second half KGA started attacking from the whistle and were rewarded instantly by a penalty.  Jesse made no mistake in his penalty kick as his shot was placed away from the keepers reach. KGA began dominating the rest of the match and Agnelo completed his hat-trick. Vitorin scored from closed range as the keeper failed to make a regulation save. The final score was 4-0.

Malabar blank Real Betalbatim
Both the teams started the game defensively and the game was concentrated mostly in the midfield. It was Malabar who had the first shot on target and forced the RBFC keeper to make back to back saves. No.20 Younis broke the deadlock and gave Malabar the lead. Real Betalbatim tried making some changes on the field but they could not get shots on target to trouble the Malabar keeper.

Malabar kept the pressure on and were able to find two more goals. The match ended 3-0.

Curtocares carry on with a solid performance
Skynet scored from a free kick by Ismail in the first minute. Curtocares were taken by suprising and began dominating possession and were playing some good through balls. The strength of Skynet could not match up to the speed with which Curtocares moved the ball around the field. Curtocares scored three goals in the first half and showed some great skill. Skynet managed to get a goal back from manuel but Curtorcares scored another goal towards the dying minutes of the game to make sure there would be no come back. The goalscorers for Curtocares were Vincy(2), Minguel and Cleto.
