DISMISS VISHWAJIT OR FACE MORE TROUBLE.

“If I cannot bring the necessary order in the Government Hospitals in Goa, then nobody will ever be able to do”, said once by the first Health Minister of Goa Mr. Karmali. He used to work day and night to give good service to the Goans just as they were getting during the Portuguese rule in Goan hospitals. Unfortunately with his relentless efforts he failed because the rot that we borrowed from Bharat serkar is too deep rooted in our system and in too short a time.  Government hospitals in Goa are plagued not only by the ill-equipped medical service with some arrogant doctors and rude nurses but administratively they are very ill administered by the low grade administrators. 

If the security personnel were a bit courteous and decent things would not have reached to the level it reached during the trouble between the two ladies and the Vishwajit Rane at Hospicio Margao.  The security manned by the uncultured personnel most of them are called “Ghanttis” should be held responsible first and secondly the Minister himself for acting like a Maharaja and expecting the same type of treatment from the staff and visitors in the hospitals. This is typical of Ranes behaviour during the Portuguese regime from whom they enjoyed lot of benefits. And falsely they considered themselves as anti-Portuguese.

There were “Xemaecheo Kannio” told us when we were young saying that Rannos were bad people.  Most of the bad habbits of those days were associated with Ranos. They were with the backing of Portuguese serkar living like Monarchs and acting like Monarchs only.  See that “kalcho-porcho potto” at Hospicio Hospital how he was speaking as if Goa and Hospicio were his father’s property.  He forgot that he was a public servant and instead he should have maintained certain decorum and not act like those who failed to show such a decorum while discussing.

Vishwajit Rane said “I am a minister and not a labourer” and as such he deserved decency from the ladies arguing with him.  Fine, but he should not expect the treatment of a Monarch though he is Monarch for his father and mother, for us he is a public servant and as such he must act as a servant and not as a feudal lord. Good that none of the ladies give a solid slap on his face though it was looking like happening.  But with this incident, assaulting the Ministers physically and verbally will be a routine happening. Both those ladies created a base for others to take the law into their hands.  There will be more violence now even kidnapping of Ministers’ children and grand children will take place because people are disgusted with the Ministers who are spreading lawlessness and corruption in every segment of our society.  

By the way, can a civilized and decent person treat a corrupt public servant with decency?  This is the big question. Is Vishwajit Rane not a “fotting”and a traitor? If not then why he deserted Congress and joined BJP?  Is he not a corrupt?  Which good person will respect him when he does not deserve respect? He has created a fear complex into the Medicos working in GMC and elsewhere with dire consequesces without proper reason. This will reflect on Parricar in the next election otherwise he should be sacked from Health Ministry because he is still a KID.

BHIM TOXEM BHAT - SR. RANE & JR. RANE.

This incident I am quoting here happened somewhere in 1970-71, if I am not mistaken.  It happened in my village Candolim at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Foot-ball ground during the inter-village football final between Saligao and the host Candolim.  I was one of the players playing for Candolm as captain of the team. The situation on the ground was fluid, the spectators in bigger number were favouring the Saligao team to win.  Suddenly there was an altercation between two players of each team that resulted in exchange of wrestlers blows between both the players, one Mr. Damu of Saligao and the other Lopes from Candolim.    Within a split of a second, the crowd from all sides invaded the ground and one could only hear the sound of blows.  The chief guest of the day was the then Law Minister of Dayananda Bandodcar,  Shri Prataphsing Raoji Rane the father of the current Health Minister of Goa, Shri Biswajit Rane who I am sure was not even born then. 

Sr. Rane while seated in the VIP Gallery, got up and spoke in his normal Hitlerian tone telling the people to stop fighting. Punaji Achrekar the then MLA of Saligao was accompanying Sr. Rane but favouring the existing commotion on the ground with his silent nod to the rowdies to carry on with the commotion because Candolim were winning the final. Then there were answers from the public to Rane to be silent because “you know nothing of football”.  For this,  Rane lost his temper and came out along with Achrekar and others from the host side escorting him, in the middle of the ground and started shouting like a "Bebdo" thus “Aum tumkam bienare, tumche sarkille anvem kitlech polleleat, aum student astana anv khusti khelpi ani anvuim zogddonk zanna”.  Hearing this undiplomatic tone and text containing nothing but “abuzad”, the people started abusing Rane with filthy words even directing against his non-Goan wife.  This type of rough language with raised voice did not suit the Minister, instead he should have used a soft tone with soft language to pacify the crowd who felt hurt by the wrong decision of the referee leading to this end.

In the same manner, in Margao at Hospicio Hospital Biswajit Rane also acted like his father earlier leading to the two ladies to lose their temper because they were hurt by the security.  The Jr. Rane was acting like a Hitler with his high tone and Hitlerian words like “You shut up”, “you don’t talk”.  As a Minister he should have cool down his temparement and taken both the ladies in a nice and civilized manner to any office inside and sorted out the differences but surely not the way he acted.  He acted thus because he is a kid meant to play “goddeancho khell”. Good that neither of the ladies slap on his face.  Because of his father he got political platform ready made and ministership without maturity, wisdom and required medical education to hold  the Health Ministry. This leads to the mockery of his job.  He will never be able to bring in changes there but will succeed in looting the public exchequer like others and if given a chance he will promote and  practice NARVENKARISM. These today’s “Kalche porche potte” while as Romeos are become MLA’s and ministers and ultimately what good one can expect from such kids? It is a shame for the voters from Valpoi to have such a "gorvam rakhnno type boy" as their representative who in the coming election must be voted out to teach him a very good lesson.

GIANTS COLLAPSED IN THE PANCHAYAT ELECTION.

In the results declared recently of the Panchayat Election, like in the Assembly election, giants have collapsed, in many Wards. Those among the losers some were holding the monopoly of their Wards they considered as their kingdoms which will remain in their domain permanently. There was one man in  one locality who was telling that his Ward is like his own Kingdom where besides him nobody will win. “I am like a King of this Kingdom”, he used to boast with a sense of pride. Pity that man, after 20 years of bossing over his said Ward, he lost in this election and in his own so called Kingdom, to a mediocre candidate.

He lost because most of his voters were gunning him for the enormous amount of illicit money he collected in hard currency from the builders and hoteliers  by issuing licenses for them for buildings, plus property worth in crores and also innumerable concubines because excess of easy money leads to excess of illicit sex. On top of it he was acting like a Hitler in the Panchayat first as a Dpty. Sarpanch and later on as Sarpanch with the locals whenever they came for any work in the Panchayat. This was his pride because he did not know who he was.  He was just a "Rostad" son of his Rostad parents who failed to give him good discipline and character.  He thought Panchayat was his father’s property meant to take his personal revenge and anger against those who had personal conflict with him.  He a bloody Bastard used Panchayat to settle his personal score. Now I will not be surprised to know that an ordinary Man from his own locality assault him. Now he will be like a fish out of water without power though he may have money but money without political power is useless. Many of the past political giants now “ghora boson fugddeo galtat”.  It is a punishment for them for their past "dadagiri" and pride which they did on the strength of their political clout. They forgot that they were elected not to take their personal revenge but to serve the people.

Generally speaking among those who lost their elections in the recently concluded Panchayat election were those doing “Dadagiri” on the  strength of their physical prowess and financial power. Now that their dadagiri is gone they will be sick being unable to bear to be nobody. This is the worst punishment. I am sure many of them will be mental wreck. People will spit on them and on their family members as well who were also responsible in not stopping them from doing dadagiri and making illicit money. Many of them are Catholics and being so the local priests are also guilty of not reprimanding these political dadas from acting rude and arrogant. 

Are we worthy of the democracy that we are practicing now in Goa?  Do we deserve it?  Is it democracy or something else?  In my locality interested persons got their candidates elected by bribing the voters heavily, one source said in one particular Ward even Rs. 30,000/- was paid per vote.  In this way only the moneyed persons will get elected and when they are elected they will indulge in money making only. Is this democracy good for us? Who can afford to purchase votes by spending heavily?  Only those who made illicit money thru illicit means.  It is these people who are the real beneficiaries of this 'PONCH DEMOCRACY". This is the reason why India is backward in so many aspects when smaller nations freed much after India have made tremendous development.  It is because of our leaders who are robbing the real essence of democracy.  If at Panchayat level our democracy is so corrupt then how we will acquire best of benefits thru our democratically elected goons and cheats who will do nothing but go on robbing what is little left of Goa starting first from my locality the updates of same I will give as and when required.

ARE LUIZIN FALEIRO & DIGVIJAY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MESS?

Recently in this month in Herald dated 07.06.17 one news item appeared on Luizinho Faleiro saying,  “job done, Faleiro wants to be relieved of duties”.  According to me, the job (victory) was not done by Faleiro but it was done by the people who supported Congress to win the 17 seats. According to the people Faleiro on the contrary spoiled the chances of Congress to form the government. He acted like a kid from Kindergarten first by creating animosity between Congress  and GFP by dumping a dummy candidate on Vijay Sardesai at Fatorda though what betrayal Sardesai did will never be forgiven. Faleiro failed to gain the goodwill of GFP by clandestinely working against Sardesai though he pretends to be innocent. He failed to rise to the occasion to form the partnership between Congress and GFP, he indicated that by all means he wanted Sardesai to be a failure.

However, unfortunately and ultimately Sardesai after his victory applied the law of Hamurabi – eye for an eye and tooth for tooth – to Congress as a punishment for Faleiro instead of offering olive branch whereby he would be a hero among all sections of Goans. This is where the weakness of Sardesai lies, this is according to one source, ingrained in his blood.  This is not going to be the last such a cursed act of Sardesai but given an opportunity he will repeat such acts repeatedly.  

When 5 MGP MLA's deserted Bandodcar,  to offset this desertion Bandodcar purchased 5 UGP MLA's including Valente Sequeira from my constituency and as a mark of anger some constituents from my constituency named their Pigs after these bloody defector Pigs.  In view of this, why not follow this same example by the constituents of Fatorda? It must be borne in mind that people like Sardesai will never change because their God is money, power and position.  Their belief in their religion is a big tamasha to fool the people especially their own religionists.  The morning prayer like Puja and other forms of prayers of such crooks is a big joke.  Such traitors have no religion nor God.  Their disaster will follow very fast turning them most miserable. This time is not very far. 

Luizinho Faleiro further said that his resignation is pending with the Congress High Command since 2015.  I find it is rubbish to know that Faleiro’s resignation is pending with the High Command since 2015. Why? Is Faleiro indispensable?  He as the president of Congress in Goa should own all the responsibilities for the fiasco in forming the government when Congress had a clear majority for which not a single Congress MLA should take the credit. It was the people’s movement against BJP that gave clear majority to Congress. People voted for Congress not because they loved Congress and Faleiro but because people hated BJP and for this victory not a single Congress leader in Goa should take credit, leave aside Faleiro who is is so bankrupt as far as his leadership is concerned, his every statement takes the name of "Madame Sonia told me". Madame Sonia sucked the credibility of Congress Party in India and her idiotic minded son Rahul Gandhi is going to further suck the Congress. If Faleiro's predecessor had to be the president, things would have been surely the other way round.

It is overheard in certain segments of Goan society that Luizin in collaboration with that rascal Digvijay coming from Delhi was responsible to hand over the baton of government formation in Goa to Parricar of BJP for a handsome reward.  Otherwise how Luizin can delay in going to the Governor with his list when he had clear majority? Is he that idiot to delay in forwarding his list? Was he a baby? I find some fishy episode is involved in this ugly drama.  The bastards holding the party's affairs are treating the party as their fathers' property ignoring the wishes and sentiments of the voters.

THE LATE REGINALDO FERNANDES

Further to my review of the meeting last week held in Panjim at Tiatr Academy Auditorium, at 4.00 PM, organised by DKA to mark the 103^rd birthday of the late Reginaldo Fernandes, the well – known Romansi writer from Siolim, I must appreciate the main speaker Daniel D’Souza who gave a very good researched account of Reginald Fernandes highlighting every aspect of his life.

However, I like to add something more too which was not mentioned by any of the speakers.  Reginaldo Fernandes was an employee of Emmisora de Goa – Panjim during the Portuguese rule along with Jacinto Vaz, Young Menezes, M. Dod de Verna, Baldinho Araujo, Allen D’Costa,  Jony Sylvester, Diogonho D’Mello, Ismenia D’Mello, Ansu Rodrigues, Georgina Jacques, Maestro Antoninho D’Souza and others.  His job was to write Tiatros to be aired thrice a week, Sundays – Tuesdays – Thursdays, the duration of each Tiatro was 30 minutes and the Sunday’s Tiatro at 7.00 PM used to be very popular.

Besides, REginaldo Fernandes was preparing on every Saturday at 7.00 pm one especial programme called “Antu Babachi Gozal” where all the participating artistes used to act and release venom and fire on Bharat Serkar for trying to rob our golden Goa.  In this programme, while vomiting venom against Bharat serkar for preparing to invade Goa, the greatness of Goa was highlighted very loudly and how this greatness will disappear from Goan soil if Goa is invaded by the invaders Bharat Serkar. And after so many years of invasion of Goa what we see now in Goa?  What Reginaldo Fernandes prophesied 60 years back is now came into reality. 

Goa is losing everything what belonged to it because of degoanisation process of Goa that began on 19^th December 1961. And now it is in full swing because the bastardisation of Goan politics is going on with sprinting pace. Good that he and many like him are dead and gone otherwise they would not be able to see with their own eyes that Goa is reaching to such a low ebb. In a few years time Goa will remain as Goa geographically but the core and original ingredients of Goa will disappear from Goa. Non Goans will make the destiny of Goa with the introduction of their harsh culture and tradition, languages, folksongs and folk tales etc. The greatness of Goa will remain only in the history books for the few historians to harp on. Thinking of this period I feel like crying.  God alone can save us from that likely calamity.

Immediately after the invasion of Goa, Reginaldo Fernandes along with Young Menezes in Candolim and others too in their respective villages lived in fear of being attacked not by the Indian military in retaliation for their criticism of Bharat Serkar but more by the local Goans who were calling themselves as pseudo nationalists. These people thought that they were more Bharatis in Goa than others. It is these barberians in the garb of Freedom Fighters came with Guns to kill Dr. Gustavo Monteiro in Candolim and Fr. Mendonca at Arpora School immediately a few hours after Goa was forcibly invaded by Nehru’s Bharat without taking Goans into confidence as if Goa was Nehru’s “Paichem Bens”.

All the above Tiatrist artistes of Emmisora de Goa were not paid their 3 months salaries prior to the invasion of Goa by the Portuguese Serkar. This responsibility should have been on the shoulders of invaders who in the beginning assured that all the obligations of the previous government will be fulfilled by the new government.  But because the Emmisora de Goa’s artistes were heavily criticizing the Bharat serkar during the Portuguese rule, they were denied their 3 months salary. 

Then when Jacinto Vaz started a heavy campaign from the Stage against Bharat  Serkar for its failure to pay their 3 months salary, thru his songs especially composed to highlight this topic, the All India Radio Panjim put a ban on  airing of Jacinto Vaz songs from All India Radio Panjim.  One of the artiste employees of Emmissora de Goa whose salary Bharat serkar had to pay was that of Reginaldo Fernandes. 

Writers like Reginaldo Fernandes were not only writers but they were like schools from whom innumerable people learnt Konkani in Roman script.  It is these writers who kept the flame of Konkani lighted.   The Nagriwadis who downgrade the contribution of writers like Reginaldo Fernandes are “CHORS” who are robbing the importance of the work they did in Konkani thru Roman script. Today and yesterday all the awards meant for Konkani literature should have gone to Reginaldo Fernandes and Damaciano Caridade only but, no, they are side stepped by the Nagriwadis because they own the monopoly of these Awards which they distribute among themselves as Bokxis.

Many people are calling Reginaldo Fernades as the Patxai and also as Pai of Romansi boroinarancho.  I disagree with this view of calling Reginaldo Fernandes as Patxai and Pai of Romanxi boroinarancho.  This title should rightly go to that genius Romansi writer Damaciano Caridade from Aldona whose writings were based on hard concrete evidence and not on abstract episodes. But that does mean Reginald Fernandes is a small writer of Roman Script Konkani Romansi, he was the great writer and being so, I bow my head down to him.  May his soul rest in peace and may Goa produce more and more such Reginaldo Fernandes.

Yesterday at Kala Academy in Panjim starting at 7.30 PM I saw the new Tiatro written and directed by Irineu Gonsalves. It was an excellent Tiatro with excellent story and excellent Side Show. After a long time I saw such a romantic story enacted beautifully by the romantic pair of handsome Willy and beautiful Jessica whom I can easily equate with those great beautiful artistes like Mohana, Ohelia, Violet and Rita Rose.

Opening the main door of the Hall at 7.25 there was too much rush to enter inside with a bit of chaos at the entrance, such incidents should be avoided by the people concerned in the future though this is not the first time such incidents occur.

The Tiatro was attended by a good number of audience though the Hall was not fully filled. Those who missed this Show they missed a good Tiatro.  Such Tiatros were earlier written by C. Alvares and himself was playing the lead role.  Irineubab has shown his high caliber of his writing power of such beautiful romantic stories.  The main role played by Willy opposite to Jessica was the centre of attraction.  Jessica was at her best yesterday with Willy as her boyfriend. Jeremiah also played a good supportive role along with Willy.

Since this is going to be staged all over Goa, I refrain from disclosing the contents of this story fully. The story ends in the hospital, in I.C.U.-Bed No. 2 where the whole romance is unfolded, the story starts in London then moves to Goa even reaching up to Australia.  The matter is very rich and posh where lot of foot-ball is involved. I am sure the script writer Irineubab must have done lot of research to prepare this whole story.

Sheikh Amir also deserves highest compliments for doing the role of Prime Minister Modi by imitating him exactly. The others who performed well were Irene, Dola, Anthony San and Sandip Calangutkar with his majestic personality. The hospital scene was wonderful.

The comedy role was well played by John D’silva, Humbert, Luis Bacchan and Ambe.

The Side Show was fabulous in which Olgla stole the show with her powerful political solo and also with her excellent duet on Vijay Sardesai with Anil Pednekar. Both these songs were very bold.   The others who deserve compliments were the handsome youngster Jeremiah for his excellent solo on footballer Pele and soccer, duet by Anthony San and Dola, solo by Ortencio, both the solos Benny de Adona and Ron for his duo wit Jeremiah and solo.

The director himself surprised everyone by singing a song on the late foot-ball lover Mergulhao. It was a well rendered song with his powerful voice based on the tune of one of the songs of his father-in-law M.Dod de Verna.

TIME TO RECONCILE - PANCHAYAT ELECTION.

“My Dog Milley got better knowledge of administration and foreign affairs than this bloody bozo” used this type of derogatory statements by the President of USA George Bush (Sr.) against Bill Clinton during the electioneering for his second term.  This is a very soft statement compared to many other such harsh statements used by the president Bush against Bill Clinton. Inspite of having many advantages including the supportive wave of the victory in the Gulf War that elevated the rating of Bush, he lost the election against Clinton.

Then came the Oath taking ceremony of Bill Clinton as president of USA, where world renowned personalities congregated in a huge number,  and spoke Clinton of course contrary to the expectation of many who thought Clinton would take his revenge against Bush by tearing him into pieces because of earlier harsh statements used against him by Bush. 

Bush seated in the front row along with his wife Barbara and seen thru his body language as a sort of apologetic, heard Clinton with rapt attention speaking thus: “Let me start myself by paying my rich tributes to my predecessor for his enormous contribution during the last half a century in the service of United States of America.  I thank you Mr. President for what you have done for our great nation”. 

Listening to this speech, the entire audience gathered there applauded Clinton who happened to be the first American scholar president having two degrees from Harward and Oxford, if I am not mistaken.

Now the results of Panchayat elections are  just declared and those who won the elections they must rejoice in their victory in a disciplined manner.  This victory should not be treated to take revenge against their opponents and in no way the winners should humiliate and degrade  the losers.  Like Clinton, the winners must condescend and indicating a kind gesture of their intellectual minds, shake their hands with their opponents promising them their full co-operation thereby giving an impression that they will not use the principle of “eye for an eye and tooth for tooth” when they occupy their Seats in the Panchayat. Victory and loss it is the part of the game. Today's winner may be tomorrow's loser.  Hence, there should not be an arrogance in the victory by the winners.

Yesterday, 11^th of this month at Kala Academy in Panjim, I saw the above Tiatro written and directed by Menino de Bandar, starting at 7.35 PM.  Though it was poorly attended yet the Tiatro was good storywise but Sideshow songs needed more powerful songsters so too the comedians.  However, the available comedians performed well inspite of being rather freshers.  Good that they are given an opportunity to perform on professional stage by the director at this young age so that they get good experience. They are all new to me but I adimre them all including one young female.  I wish them all the best on Konkani Stage.

It was a family story beautifully woven around 2 brothers, their selfish wives and their Widow sister-in-law whose opinion both the wives are having in wrong direction. They both doubt her integrity and affection towards their both husbands. Then both of them join together and create a rift in the family then blame here and there but it finally ends for what has happened with the statement ‘DEVAK XINONNAKA”. Both Maxy and Satya. Tari as brothers played their roles very well along with both the beautiful girls as their wives.

Th story was full of proverbs and high profile dialogues and statements of which type nowadays you rarely see on Konkani Stage.  Menino de Bandar is very well versed in this field.  While thanking the audience for attending this Show he showed his disappointment for having poor attendance.  But Meninobab, yesterday being election day plus raining everywhere, I feel you should not feel hurt that much. It is part of the trade.

In the Side Show songs young Valencio performed well in all his political songs,  However, the anger he indicates while singing and entering the Stage should be minimized. The other songs to be noted are on Kaixao and Opening solo on Christian sects.

Many times it is said when Sideshow songs are not powerful the level of Tiatro goes down even though the story is very good. This is our system for Tiatros. Many times in the past people used to come for Tiatro only to listen to one or two songs of M.Boyer. This indicates the importance of Sideshow songs. People see the Tiatro in greater number when participating stars are very good and also very good singers.

THIS PANCHAYAT ELECTION IS A BIG TAMASHA.

TOMORROW IS THE PANCHAYAT ELECTION.  Hope everything will go well though people are disgusted with the Election Commission for holding this election in the rainy season and not taking any corrective steps to stop the dual voting by the ROSTAD Bharatis who descended on Goa a few years back thru the way illegally acquired by the Bharat Serkar.  They are become Dadas in Goa and as told to me by somebody, these outside Dadas are controlling the Election commission personnel. Besides, the changes – delimitations – done with the active participation of the current politicians from the Panchayat and Legislative Assembly indicates that current government is fully aware of this dirty trick.  In view of this, I feel this election is going to be a BIG TAMASHAH.

Besides there are other reasons that make this election a big tamasha.  In this election, many of the MLA’s are directly getting involved to gain the supremacy of our villages and they are spending lakhs of rupees from their own pockets because actually this money does not belong to them but this money they acquired from the illicit business they do including the bribery.  Hence, they don’t feel the pinch  to use this money for such extravaganza. HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT ASHAMED TO OPENLY DISTRIBUTE THIS MONEY TO THE VOTERS THRU THEIR CONCUBINES SOME OF WHOM ARE THE MEMBERS OF PANCHAYAT. Illicit Sex also plays a major part in this illicit business

In our locality, the rate of one Vote according to my investigation, is Rs. 4000/- while in Calangute it reached to Rs. 5000/-  In Candolim, the hardened political criminals are pleading only for another term of 5 years, after that they want to retire.  Balls, they will never retire, they have already tasted the easy money during the preceding years when they extorted heavy bribes from the builders and others to approve their Licenses. This "Khazur" they will never get anywhere in their life. Lion once tasted the blood will never leave the same.

It is my request to the voters in our locality and elsewhere too, never succumb to the bribe these rogues are offering you but on the contrary you accept the bribe but vote for the candidate of your choice. Don’t be the slaves of this bribe, maintain your own dignity and vote according to your conscience. And tomorrow with your precious votes kick all the rascals who as members of the Panchayat act like rogues and as feudal lords who are nothing but purely hoi-polloi.

PANCHAYAT ELECTION MONEY FLOW.

Only one more day is left for Panchayat election but the noise and the money flow generating it looks this is more than American presidential election at least in my village though there is not a single candidate other than one or two who is a real social worker to  fight for the public cause. Almost all are selfish whose record of public service is Zero but yet they want to be the leaders and when stupid voters elect them then they act stupid, arrogant and proud with the locals as if they are the feudal lords. Such representatives are a burden on the village.

Yet such candidates are promoted by the interested persons – parties –panels. In my village to get their candidates elected, even Rs. 4000/- are paid to the voters.  From where so much of money is coming for distribution?  This is the big question mark and  for answer it is not very difficult. People like me from poor family background must come up in life but they must acquire their wealth thru proper means and not make the use of their wealth for pride and arrogance and to challenge others.  They must in their prosperity show simplicity and humility otherwise they will surely receive the wrath of God. Today most of the politicians who acquired wealth so fast and thru illicit methods are originally coming from the poor background but later on they forget their past because they are suffering from pride complex.

Bribing the voters and buying of votes is a sin in which both the buyers and sellers are committing a sin. Hence, in tomorrow’s sermon in our Churches the priests must tell the faithful the sinfulness of this fraud.  Church duty is to keep the faithful sin-free so that his road to heaven is clean.

Dr. Jack Sequeira once speaking on this bribery, said, if anybody gives you money accept it but don’t vote for him because he is a crimidor and such criminals are to be punished. Hence, punish them in the coming Panchayat election.

People in my village and elsewhere too must vote for the right candidates to do right justice for the villagers.  Our Sarpanchas and Panchas are become corrupt and if we re-elect them then there is a fear our villages to become a HELL.

VOTE FOR BENSO IN CANDOLIM PINTOS VADDO.

Yesterday Benedito (Benso) started his campaign more vigorously first by going to the miraculous Cross of Candolim famous Mandd which is located in Pintos Vaddo, Opposite Azilo and then visiting his voters.  Along with him a few of his close supporters were there to pray and ask help from god to help Benso to get elected in the coming election. Since Benso’s victory is sure, his opponents especially the Panelists as per my information, are trying to impress upon Benso to withdraw his candidature even by offering Benso a financial reward. Some of his opponents are even using ugly methods to threaten people not to associate with any other candidates. Voters must kick these type of ugly people and elect Benso with good majority because Benso is an active young man in our village ready to help anyone within his capacity.

But as we all know him, Benso is a Benso, he is a true son of his true father and for this reason he will act upright even after getting elected.  We need a man of his caliber in the Panchayat to fight for our rights and to protect our village from the vultures ready to devour the entire village.

Benso is contesting in Pintos Vaddo being a real Pinstoscar and not an outsider.  Pinstocar need a Pintoscar only for this reason the voters from his Ward must VOTE FOR BENSO.

DEGOANISATION OF GOA LEADS TO MILLIONISATION OF POLITICIANS.

  

In the first Panchayat election in Goa immediately following the invasion of Goa by the Bharat Serkar the lower grade of  Goans – castewise and financewise – fought that election vigorously against the upper grade Goans – castewise and financewise.  It was like a war between the bourgeois and proletarians, in this war major victory was derived by the latter but village administration went into the hands of many of the rubbish hands that were purely communal in nature. However, those administrators were sincere to their ethics.  This period lasted till mid eighties at least in my village when Tomazinho Cardoso ruled Candolim as the Sarpanch. When he was the long time Sarpanch of Candolim, Tomazinho Cardoso did not indulge in unethical practices and did not involve in corruption nor  bribe taking, as far as I know.

Then came the second phase which was initiated with the spread of large scale tourism industry.   Because of this, big moneyed people from other parts of India mainly from Delhi landed in Goa and started purchasing land from Goa and built Hotels of different dimensions, the local Panchayats started blindly issuing licences for these builders from whom lot of bribe was taken by the Panchayat administrative gangsters. So also other buildings started by the builders many times without even taking care of the local ecology because these builders already purchased the local Panchayat leaders by bribing them.

In my village and vaddo Araddy the local authority issued licenses many of them verbally to construct houses haphazardly creating a fear in the minds of residents, this was done I think by taking bribe and thru this type of money the local leaders became crorepotis.   Also in my village licenses are issued to build big hotels in an unplanned manner that makes the movement of the locals difficult.  Those who were responsible in issuing these licenses were illiterate in this field but act like top architects including the Marie Antoinette.  The rampant issuing of licenses for the builders to construct big buildings by taking huge amount of bribe has destroyed the ecology and greenery of the village on which the elected local leaders are least interested because they are outsiders in our locality and as such they have no love for the locality. They have love only for illicit money. They are suffering from superiority complex for this reason they treat people arrogantly when the locals go to them for any service.  They are fit only to take revenge against those who opposed them in the election and on personal matters.  One fellow is now “fugddi ghalta” at home while earlier he was using Panchayat as if it is his father’s property to harass the locals in a vindictive manner.

Let us vote  out those who are corrupt and vindictive. These corrupt politicians to millionise themselves have degoanised Goa.

IS KASHMIR ISSUE SOLVABLE?

The latest hot issue discussed in the media is the issue of severing not only Cricketing ties with Pakistan but also all other sporting ties because Pakistan is playing havoc with India especially in Kashmir by helping the secessionists and terrorists.  

Firstly, for the Indian Cricketing administrators it is impossible to stop the match between India and Pakistan because millions of rupees are at stake besides their commissions, Meantime, the cricket match was already played yesterday and India defeated Pakistan easily.  Secondly, India cannot tame Pakistan anymore because Pakistan is powerful now since it is a nuclear power and moreover it is strongly backed by China, the arch rival of India. Pakistan was established to counter the “Dadagiri” of Hindus whom Pakistani Muslims  consider as their worst enemies.

Poet Iqbal  initiated the idea for the formation of Pakistan as a separate homeland for Muslims from the subcontinent and Jinnah implemented it. During my so many years of stay in Kuwait, the way I integrated with Pakistanis, I don’t think any Goan did and hence I learnt a lot from them. Some of the highly intellectual Pakistani Muslims  admitted that Pakistan went for nuclear only to destroy Hindu India. Similarly, Zulficar Ali Bhutto in his masterpiece “If I am assassiated’, wrote, “we will if necessary eat grass but will go for nuclear”.

The Pakistanis said they cannot forget the atrocities the Hindus and Sikhs have committed against them especially on their women during the partition time. The climax of their anger culminates into inferno when they think of dismembering of East Pakistan by India. Some  Pakistanis even confessed that Pakistan will never allow India to live in peace and for this reason  Pakistan is creating problems all over India. Pakistan is a rogue nation ready to face any eventuality but India cannot as it is a too decent nation. 

The complex situation of Kashmir made more complex by Pakistan by letting lose its proxy war on India will never have peace unless India takes a bold step with the help of UN and give more autonomy to Kashmiris fighting for their freedom in the name of religion,  such religious wars do not end easily unless final results are achieved.

India cannot rely on Pakistan for any peaceful settlement because Pakistan is hell bent to defy India. Even the Indian citizen now on death row waiting for the gallows will surely face the death however much innocent he may be.  The Cruel Pakistani judicial system did not even spare its own premier Zulficar Ali Bhutto from the gallows. There is no compassion in Muslim Pakistan when Islam preaches COMPASSION.

"LUTT" TO LOOT - PANCHAYAT ELECTION.

Almost in every village, there is a ”lutt” from the candidates to contest the forthcoming Panchyat Election.  There are so many candidates in this “lutt” whose track records of doing good for the people in their own localities are very poor, they don’t do any social work because they don’t like to help others, they don’t like to sacrifice even one minute and even one paisa for the sake of others and on top of it they want to be the official custodians of our localities.

When this is the case, how these candidates crave for the votes of the people and why people will vote for such selfish candidates?  I cannot understand how these candidates take the voters for granted!!  For the voters to vote for a particular candidate, that particular candidate must give an impression to the voters that he is capable of doing good to the people, based on his past record of helpfulness in his locality for the locals. Many of our candidates whose work in the service of the people is zero have got no right to contest the election because for such selfish candidates people do not vote and in fact they should not vote for such people. How can one accept that one Mr. X, the candidate, will work for the good of the society when he did nothing and neither got evidence to show that he did something?

In the first Panchayat election in Goa immediately after the conquest of Goa by Bharat, most of the Christian Brahmin Bhattkars were totally knocked out by their low grade opponents, even by their Mundkars because most of these Brahmin Bhattkars were known not to do anything good to their Mundkars and subordinates.  This was the election fought on the principle of Bhattkars against Munddkars and Bamonn against non-Bamonn.  People in that election opposed the top feudality because this feudality failed to do much good to the lower strata of the people. It is not possible to gain the goodwill of the voters and especially of the commoners to get their votes without doing anything good to them and to the society.  If you are not even ready to give a simple smile to others even though that smile will cost you nothing, then how you expect the voters and people to support you? Contribute something for the cause of society and community and then expect good response from the voters.

Then there is a group of people who come under the umbrella of their panels to fight this election.  They are mostly all old faces graduated in gaining expertise in looting the village Panchayats by doing chicanery and corruption. Because of their long term experience as Panchas and Sarpanchas they gained the mastery of making money thru looting the locals by way of extorting bribe from the public.  Their urge and taste for Panchayat politics is so great that without being its members they cannot survive.  For this reason, they are contesting the Panchayat elections again and again not to serve the village and the locals but to fill their pockets. How much such people served our villages?  Everybody knows this. All the people below my nose knows this. The little they do is to get commission for them because they have their "cuts". These are the CHORS who are responsible for robbing our villages and on top of it they are shamelessly moving in society with their collar high.  People should vote them out in the coming election otherwise they will destroy our villages.

VOTE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.

                                 

If any non-Goan comes to me for my vote in the coming Panchayat election, with due respect to him, I will tell him, “why should I vote for you?  Are you a genuine Goan?  No. Hence, you are not capable to protect the interest of genuine Goans”. These non-Goans do not know the proper language of Goa, history, tradition, culture, folklore and many of the attributes of Goans and yet they want to be the rulers of Goa to enact the laws suitable for them. They claim to be Goans but for us they are not true Goans and being so they will never be faithful to Goa and Goan causes. These adopted Goans apply their allegiance to the places from where their ancestry  belonged.  Goa cannot be their ancestral home place though because of their livelihood in Goa they may like to be called Goans but actually many of them got anti-Goan and un-Goan feelings. In view of this, I will not vote for such candidates.  Those who feel I am right, please follow me and do not vote for non-Goans. This is the time now for us the genuine Goans to be hard core Goans otherwise we will easily lose what is remaining of Goa.

In my Ward I noticed  contesting candidates are not the residents of my Ward and yet shamelessly they are contesting from my Ward because they are for some genuine reasons unable to contest in their Wards.  But still they don’t want to retire.  It is always better to elect a candidate from your own Vaddo who will be readily accessible to you for any of your needs while outsider will be far and difficult to access. Most of the outside candidates are selfish and rogues and because of their lust for robbery they want to contest and rob the village by doing corruption.  These are the fathers of robbery in the village.  Those who want these fathers of robbery to rob the village and people, they can elect them but as an upright man and a genuine Christian I will never  vote for such people.  If anyone agrees with me then follow me and VOTE NOT AN OUTSIDER AND FATHER OF ROBBERY.

CHURCH GUIDANCE IN ELECTION NEEDED.

Why the craze so much to contest the election again and again by the same persons? Are they so smart like that American president Roosevelt who went for the third term because people liked his administration, to do good for the locals or they are very good in doing good only for them and their families by taking advantage of the membership of Panchayat? Most of those who are regularly contesting this election are cunning and tasted the taste of corrupt practices to acquire illicit wealth otherwise as it happened in our locality, how such persons built their financial empires such as Hotels, Restaurants, fleet of luxurious cars and bungalows?  Till recently before contesting election they were bankrupt but once elected they started looting the people by demanding bribe without any shame.  On top of it these Pimps and political Prostitutes moving in society with their heads high and go regularly to the church by befriending the local priests who are guilty of not opposing in the sermons their misdeeds.

What role the local church will play to guide the locals in the right direction in the coming election?  One thing our church leaders and priests cannot remain as silent spectators when the pimps and rogues many of whom are from catholic religion are all out to get themselves elected by all means, some of them even by doling their wives and daughters to those who will arrange them more votes.  As it is, in the last Assembly election, lot of money flow  was experienced to buy the votes of ignorants and backwards because this class only sell their votes, sensible people will never sell their votes because votes are not salable commodity.

Most of the people involved in this buying and selling of votes business are Catholics and  the buyers are having bales of notes accumulated thru unfair means. There should be thorough enquiry of the money used in vote buying and what was the source of this big amount of money. Normal logic tells this money is a looted money thru illicit means and since it is used again for illicit use then this becomes a sinful act where the Church leaders must involve to oppose such sinful acts.

When there was political hara-kiri let lose on the people by the corrupt politicians, the Church leadership directly involved and fought for justice. In Goa the Church must declare openly saying that “using money and muscle power to win the election is an Anti-Christian Act”. Otherwise, the corrupt people will get elected and they will increase corruption leading to the spread of sin even among the church leaders.

KNOW YOUR CANDOLIM CANDDATE.

An young man from Candolim Pintos Vaddo, the Vaddo that gave birth to those world renown persons like Abade Faria and  Pintos revolutionaries, Benedito Pinto  popularly known in the locality as Benso, is contesting the coming Panchayat election in Pintos Vaddo Ward No. 9  with a symbol of Almirah.

A known social worker having vast potential to do good for the village, vaddo and the locals. Because of this urge to work for others, he was appointed as Gen. Secretary of Goan Association-Delhi some years back when he was based in Delhi. Being a responsible man he knows to shoulder his given responsibilities to fulfill his obligations and precisely because of this, he was elected the president of the well known Candolim Mandd located in his Pintos Vaddo only.

His main and big specialty is to be of help to anyone and at that particular time he will forget his personal differences and assist the needy. People of this caliber are either rarity or non existing.

Accoridng to Benedito, he had great wish to do something for Pintos Vaddo and since this is the right opportunity to implement his wish, he opted to contest this election with the firm belief  that the people of his Ward No.9 will vote for him. As a matter of fact, Benedito strongly feel that people are supportive of his candidature and being so they will not let him down.
