ABOUT NERAL:-
1. Neral is a picturesque little town that sits on the banks of the River Ulhas. Straddled by the Matheran Mountains on one side and the Deccan plateau on the other, the region is famous for its temperate weather and panoramic views.

3. 1 KM away from the local Railway Station.
4. 10 KMS away from the Matheran Peak.

PLACES OF INTEREST:-
1. Matheran Dubbed the tiniest Hill Station in India, Matheran is perched at an elevation of 2625 feet. A narrow gauge ‘toy train’ winds its way up from Neral, treating visitors to breathtaking views of the Sahyadris. There’s also a tar road that goes up to Dasturi Naka which is 11 km from the town. In an effort to preserve the region’s ecology, no vehicles are permitted beyond this point. Visitors may choose to walk or continue on horseback.

2. Bhimashankar located in village of Bhorgiri, the Bhimashankar temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva. 3. Peth Sitting at an altitude of 1550 ft, Peth (or Kotligad as it is also known) is a small Fort with a large cave at its base. Dating back to Sambhaji’s empire in the early 17th century, its principal feature is a dramatic stone staircase that leads to a funnel-shaped fortification at the top.

4. Ulhas Valley The valley of the Ulhas River springs to life in the monsoon with hundreds of streams and waterfalls tumbling over the rich green mountain sides. The area is a popular destination for trekkers from Mumbai and Pune.

"48 YEARS OF CORRUPT RULE IN GOA UNDER BHARAT.":

Dear Mr. A. Veronica Fernandes,

I must say you write very well. However, from whatever i have read, you are a man full of complexes with a hatred of the Goan Bammon Bhatkars. Every caste had good and bad people. but to categorise all goan bamon bhatkars as chors etc is to pass a rash judgement without using much sense. I am sure if you check properly, a lot of the goan bamon bhatkars did a lot of good for the people of goa. so next time think before you write.
