‘Mogachea Pinzreant’ is the latest Konkani audio album by young and upcoming singer Webly Gomes. The album has 9 tracks to offer with the title song ‘Mogachea Pinzreant’ the first track on the audio album being rendered by Lulu Fortes with her delectable voice. As the name itself suggests, it is a romantic solo with good music orchestration. A slow track with pleasant musical score ‘Nirmoll Mog’ duet sung by Trisca & Webly Gomes is supported by good music, follows next. The voices blend well and complement each other, doing justice to the lyrics. Musician and Keyboardist Norman Cardozo lends his voice to the next track ‘Dis Toh Pausacho’ set to some foot tapping music and lyrics that will entice you to hum the chorus. Lulu Fortes returns back to lend her voice to ‘Goyam Mhojea’ a song paying rich tributes to Goa and highlighting the present state of affairs in the land. Webly Gomes once again renders a solo ‘Nachon Uddon Gavum-ia’ with music that will nudge you to get on to the dance floor. ‘Susegad Goenkar’ a solo by Blasio Pinto is yet another good track which begins on a fast and rasping note raising up the tempo. Music orchestration for this track is once again foot tapping. Webly Gomes renders ‘You are my Love’ a romantic track on a pop beat next. The musical score is very pleasant and Webly’s voice does full justice to the lyrics. The audio album finishes off in style with a Goan Medley of traditional songs by Aurville/Blasio and Webly Gomes. This last track will get you in the mood to swing from the very first musical note.
‘Mogachea Pinzreant’ is surely a Konkani audio album with a difference which is miles ahead and keeps off the beaten track. The style of lyrics composition and the genre of music is surely going to appeal to the modern day youth. If this album does not make the youth turn towards Konkani music who are so much obsessed with western pop music, perhaps nothing will. Kudos to the musicians Ally Rodrigues,(Lead and Rhythm Guitar) Felipe Baretto (Keyboards), Freddy Baretto (Bass Guitar) and the recording Engineer Aurville Rodrigues. All the tunes and lyrics on this album are the creative works of Webly Gomes.
Konkani music needs young and dynamic youth like Webly Gomes to take Konkani music to a new breed of modern day music lovers and to a different level of acceptance amongst lovers of Konkani music, specially among the modern day Goan youth. Hillary’s production has released ‘Tarvottia Salam Tuka’ an Konkani audio by Normandez. The audio album has 12 taracks with all the tunes and lyrics composed by Normandez. Music for the album has been provided by Norman Cardozo and Josinho. ‘Bhangaracho Danth’ is the first track on the album rendered by Normandez set to a fast beat. The lyrics are thought provoking and speak about the love between a mother and her son. Wilson and Sharon render a pleasing humorous duet ‘Synori’ in their distinct style, which will surely appeal to the listeners. ‘Kallzam Mellim’ by Normandez, ‘Shukhnem’ by Valanka and ‘Happy Birthday’ a solo based on a real happening once again by Normandez are the next tracks. Clara and Sonia combine well to render a duet ‘Mhozo Nouro ietolo’ on a fast beat . The title song ‘Tarvottia Salam Tuka’ is rendered by Normandez. The track is a tribute to the seaman who toil onboard the ships and has some thought provoking lyrics. Once again Clara impresses with her voice in a duet ’Interview’ with Rons. The lyrics are meaningful and music is good set to a fast rasping beat. ‘Senorita’ by Normandez should also go well with the listeners for its offbeat lyrics and good foot tapping music. ‘Dusri Mummy’ by Sonia-Fatima-Anil Kumar a trio is average track but with educative lyrics on a slow beat, and finally Normandez with ‘Gulab’ a solo and ‘Mogacho Tiag’ a duet by Sonia and Normandez complete the album.
