NUVEM KUWAIT PARISHIONERS FELICITATE VISITING NUVEMKARS WILFRED D'SA & NORMAN CARDOSO.

Last week, Nuvem Kuwait Parishioners hosted a reception at Moghul Mahal, Kuwait, to two of their visiting "Ghaum-Bhau" from Nuvem Goa, namely politician Wilfred D'Sa and musician Norman Cardoso. They both came to Kuwait for the Konkani Tiatro held on last Friday; Norman came as musician while D'Sa came as Guest of Honour. Taking advantage of their brief stay in Kuwait, NKP hosted the reception where NKP presented D'Sa with a Memento in appreciation of their love and affection for their "Ghaum-Bhau" who is also active in Nuvem as a social worker.

The following are some of the photos during the reception.

GOVERNMENT'S LICENTIOUS EYES ON THE CABO-DE-RAMA FORT.

Government’s Licentious Eyes On The Cabo-de-Rama Fort

It is said that “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”, but it does depend on what sort of eyes the beholder looks at the beauty, it can be plain admiration or it can be lust. Cabo-de-Rama, is situated on the west coast of southern Goa, it is about 30 kms from Margao, it has sea on three sides and hills abreast a plateau on it’s north east. The scenic beauty reminds one of Kanya Kumari at sun set, it is blessed with a beautiful beach and a plateau that’s envied and eyed by a lot of hoteliers. This beach and the adjoining plateau has been used by a good number of Bollywood producers for film shoots, and music videos, it is indeed scenic and picturesque, I for one never tire seeing and admiring it’s beauty.

The Cabo-de-Rama fort is strategically built, from where it gives a clear view of the vast coast and the open sea. Inside it’s walls it’s full of greenery, over the wall it’s just awesome view on the sides of the fort. Though only the remains old residences of the Portuguese are still around, the Church still looks immaculate. The Portuguese had built this church, dedicated to St. Anthony, right in the centre of this fort, this Church will complete 400 years next January, about fifty meters from the sides of the Church, all around it, there are the fourteen crosses depicting the fourteen stations of the cross. The parishioners of this Church are the residents of Cabo-de-Rama and the residents of Nuem, which is a small hamlet situated between Cabo-de-Rama and Canaguinim, at all major Church festivals the residents of Nuem gather at the Cabo-de-Rama Church. The blessing of the first fruits “Navidade” is done from the top of this fort, from where you get the view of all the fields and houses of Cabo-de-Rama. The processions during the feasts and the Holy week are done around the fourteen crosses. The feast of the Church is celebrated on the 15th of February with great devotion and gaiety.

From my childhood I have been hearing various stories that the Cabo-de-Rama fort was to be taken over by the Navy, the hotel industry, Atomic energy Commission, Airport and the Tourism Department among others, there were also rumors that a hifi educational institute was supposed to be taking over the fort, but now finally the cat is out of the bag and the intentions of the government are clear. The Government is certainly looking at the Cabo-de-Rama fort with licentious eyes and that has made the Cabo-de-Rama and Nuem residents very much jittery and anxiety is in the air. We certainly do not have any good reason to trust the Government.

We are all aware what happened when the Anjediv Island was handed over to armed forces, till today no one is allowed access to the church despite a good numbers requests and delegations. We certainly do not want our community to suffer the same and invite nuisance around our place of worship. Ours is a small community and we surely wouldn’t want ourselves to be run over by our conniving government. We will fight and do everything possible to protect the privacy of our village and our rights.

We have been cooperative with the Government as far as the restoration and the maintenance of the fort is concerned but we will certainly oppose privatisation of the fort, it is the land of the community to be use only for the benefit of the community. Our people have learned a lesson from the mining issue and we will not be taken for granted. What the Government does in the area, has to be discussed with the locals and the Panchayat, there should be transparency in any process that the government undertakes, to see how beneficial or adverse it would be for the residents of the area.

The reputation of the present Government to support and appease the luxury hotel consortiums and mega builders against the wishes of the locals is well known, the concerns and the problems of the locals are not what interests them as long as they can make a “whack” for themselves, what happens to the rest is inconsequential to them. So it is left up to us to protect and safeguard our interests.

Save Cabo-de-Rama fort from privatisation. Let the people of Cabo-de-Rama decide what they want.

CHURCHILL SAYS HE IS NOT A POLITICIAN BY NATURE BUT WAS FROCED TO BE ONE.

Churchill Says he is not a politician by nature but was forced to be one.

Our erstwhile PWD minister Churchill Almeao in an article on Gulf News has alleged that Arwin Mesquita has smeared his name at the behest of a former Minister and his former collogue, mentor and “kumpar” Mr. Luizinho Faleior. First and foremost Arwin has no connections whatsoever with Luizinho. Arwin is a responsible, matured adult and does not require support of any politicians former and present to state his case. Churchill seems to be paranoid with Luizinho and if he has an axe to grind with him, I pray he takes it up with Luizinho himself without blaming every Tom dick and Harry to be Luizinho’s pawn.

Mr Almeao further said that he is not a politician by nature but was forced to be one and yet he has mastered the political art of a master craftsman in no time, he had made all the promises to stick to the party on whose ticket he had stood for election, but we know he has been jumping from one party to the next so much so that we have forgotten which party he actually represented at the time of election. And now as though two Almeaos were not enough he is preparing for a third, has that too been forced by the people ? It looks like he is trying to make the Goa Assembly his very own kingdom, where he can have his own dynastic rule as though its was given to him for dowry. Are there no other Goans capable to run the Government, that we have to depend on all the high and mighty Almeaos to do the needful ?

He also talks about his principles; the very fact that he cannot even keep his pre-election promise of sticking to one party is ample proof of his pathetic principles, and the development that he talks about is mega buildings where Goans can work as watchman, if this is the vision of our ministers, then Goa would be much better off without them.

' ADVOGAD ' TIATRO REVIEW.

“ADVOGAD” Tiatro in Kuwait.

Maintaining the tradition of following the Goan Standard Time and overruling the Kuwait Standard Time, Com. Agostinho Temudo like a “Temoz” fulfilled his wish and started his Tiatro at 4.30 pm instead of 3.30 as scheduled. Contrary to the expectation of many, the Tiatro was attended by a good number of people. Many thought because of the World Cup soccer match between Portugal and Brazil live telecast from South Africa, Goans would not come to see this Tiatro but instead they will remain glued to their TV Sets at home. However, at the time of starting of the Tiatro the Hall was almost full though not fully packed. Many of the faces in the Hall looked first time comers and to get so much of crowd on so difficult day the organizers Xavier and Manuel along with their colleagues, friends and supporters played a stellar role. If so much of crowd attended this Tiatro, it was because of the tremendous efforts put in by the organizers. They deserve credit.

The story was based on cheap topic of Rape. This is the only subject our modern directors are harping again and again and Agostinho mixed it with his normal vulgar words having double meaning as well which go against the tradition of Tiatro. Though not expected much intellectual from the non-intellectual and immature director yet comedy wise it gave some entertainment to the audience. Young and attractive Anita stole the show along with comedian Selvy who according to many is the best comedian on Konkani Stage today. As a matter of fact, the organizers have rightly presented him with a Memento describing him as the Best Comedian of Konkani Stage.

The credibility of this Tiatro was also maintained due to the participation of all the Kuwait based local artistes among whom Rosary Ferns, Bab Agnelo and Michael D’Silva rendered very meaningful and interesting solos.

Among the artistes coming from Goa, Xavier Gomes ex Kuwait rendered both his solos well, his trio with Juju and Salu Faleiro on Hindu-Muslim-Christian was also interesting. Selvy with Anita rendered a nice duet and Selvy’s comedy solo was found very interesting to the audience. The best song of the Show was rendered beautifully with their beautiful serene voices – Primeiro & Segundo – by both the beautiful females, veteran Roma and the new comer Steffi. Their attractive dress code made them both more attractive and this gave an added beauty to their song.
The major part of the play was shouldered by Salu Faleiro and Mathew Araujo. Agostinho, Steffi and Juju played the roles of Advocates while Xavier Gomes performed the role of the Judge.

C. Alvares before his death said Khell Tiatros will kill traditional Tiatros. Was he right? Yes, by introducing Khell Tiatrists in traditional Tiatros, these khell Tiatrists spoiled the traditional Tiatro system. The way comedian Agostinho screams in his delivery he spoils the beauty of every scene. Shouting and screaming is not required everywhere, especially in Tiatro. And on top of it, Agostinho is the director of the Tiatro. The decency, beauty and greatness of the Tiatro disappear when artistes unnecessarily scream. It was not Agostinho alone, others also did the same and in the bargain the clarity of their delivery and statements lost putting the audience into total confusion. During the interval Chief Gues Prof. Nelly J. Rodrigues and Guest of Honour Wilfred D’Sa were introduced to the audience, both are coming from Goa especially to attend this show. Prof. Nelly in her brief address to the audience, appreciated all the efforts of the Kuwaitkars to keep this Tiatro art alive in Kuwait.

A note of caution to the Kuwait organizers and contractors. According to my information, there was lot of confusion before the arrival of Agostinho troupe. Till last moment it was not certain that Advogad will be seen in Kuwait court. There was discord between Agostinho and the Kuwait organizers because according to Xavier contractor from Kuwait, Agostinho in his habitual manner used foul language against Xavier. Worst part of it, Agostinho left Kuwait on 26th, Saturday immediately after the Tiatro leaving his entire troupe in Kuwait. “Leader himself disappeared first”, say the people in Kuwait.

Next time before finalising the staging of Tiatro in Kuwait, check carefully whether all the visiting artistes are eligible to get Kuwait visa because some of the visiting artistes are rightly or wrongly fall under black list category. Xavier and Manuel had to work overtime to get visas for some visiting artistes and that too with great difficulties.

Also, finalise well in advance thru written contract the financial obligations and mode of currency, whether Indian Rupees or Kuwaiti Dinars. This topic is very important because money is become like God for many of the visiting Tiatrists.
To organize a Triatro in Kuwait is not a joke. The “kalcho – porcho” director should know this better, so also other directors.

THE DISTORTED VISION OF OUR FREEDOM FIGHTERS IN GOA.

The Distorted Vision Of Our Freedom Fighters In Goa.

All over the world freedom fighters are well respected and recognised by their institutions and are given special status and privileges for their dedication and sacrifices, the freedom struggle was the key that slammed the doors on oppression and opened the doors to freedom. A lot of freedom fighters have lost their lives, some were in prison for years, others lucky to be alive and free. Goa after a being ruled by the Portuguese for over 400 years, was finally free of foreign rule for which many of the brave freedom fighter who are alive today are being honoured by the Government and special privileges have been bestowed unto them and rightly so, though the credibility of our freedom fighters has been somewhat tarnished because at the time of the so called liberation there were unknown number of criminals in jail, who now claim to be freedom fighters, as they were all released from jail after the so called liberation, so the presence of freeloaders among the actual freedom fighters is a clear possibility too.

Every year the 18th of June has been celebrated as the Goa Revolution Day, and every year our politicians are seen felicitating our freedom fighters, but is the work of the freedom fighters done and finished with ? Was it for the prevailing present, that they had fought for, the sacrifices they had made for ? During the time when Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency, freedom fighters like Jayprakash Narayan blew the bugle of war against Indira for turning India into a dictatorial power from the democratic setup. He fought bravely and was again put behind bars, where he was treated like a mere criminal, but it did not break his resolve and kept on the fight.

What do we see in Goa ? Our so called freedom fighter are more interested in getting rid of the Portuguese names, is that what they fought for ? Does changing of names, gives us the actual freedom ? I am happy that at least one of them had the courage to speak against the Casino culture, but are they all blind to see the depravity and the corruption that is thriving in their beloved Goa, that they fought for ? Why is it that not a single freedom fighter is raising his voice against the dire effects of mining and mega housing on our ecology, environment and the lives of their fellow brethren ? Or are they so desperate for the goodies that the Government throws at them, that they fail to see the reality around them ?

Politicians and bureaucrats in Goa are on a rampage tearing and selling ever bit of Goa, not thinking of the posterity or even the immediate future. They are not worried about improving the quality of life of Goans and infact doing their best to make life of Goans even more difficult. Corruption and crime are runaway monsters spreading faster and wider than a cosmic explosion. Is this what our freedom fighters had fought for ? With all due respect for their efforts and sacrifices during the freedom struggle, they should at least gave the guts to say to our inapt and corrupt government that the prevailing depravity and corruption was not what they had fought for. Our politicians are certainly making a mockery of the lives and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and yet they fail to see it, unfortunately the vision of our freedom fighters has been distorted and needs to be reverted or else their fight for freedom will be in vain and we’ll most certainly need another Goan Revolution, this time not against any outsiders but against our very own.

Breaking News – Breaking News – Breaking News!!!

We are the first generation bombarded with so much news.

Newspapers and internet provide us mouth-watering headlines, views, opinions and comments galore. In a sense, we are saturated with news, news and news; we're saturated with curious subjects and needless gossip. But the effect of being bombarded with all of these news and views, is that, we don't have other stories to tell.

We lose the continuity of our imagination and even forget our own experiences; we become people who are written on from the outside.

It's time to catch on with our native thoughts!

GWS KUWAIT AND REPLY TO XAVIER FURTADO.

Dear Xavierbab,

This is to answer your email appeared earlier today in this forum.

First of all I am no more a member of GWS though I was one of the founders when it was establsihed thru the inititiative of Vincente D'Souza. At the time of invasion of Kuwait by Iraq on 2nd August 1990, Alu Carvalho was the president of GWS. After the liberation of Kuwait he came back to Kuwait like me, met me personally and asked me how to restart GWS. I told him to call a meeting of all the members who are returned to Kuwait and then we will decide the next course of action. Then Alu Carvalho met his 'ded Xanne' colleagues in GWS and hurriedly called a meeting of few of his close friends in GWS without telling me and my colleagues whom I enrolled in GWS. While doing this Alu Carvalho had full support of the Crooks in GWS some of them are still there and ruling.

After a month I got the news that GWS has been restarted minus me and my colleagues. Then I got the news that this was the trick of keeping me out purposedly to prevent me from fighting for the cause of downtrodden in Kuwait and for justice. Then I started my campaing thru writings on the misdeeds of GWS. To put a break on my campaing, gradually feelers started coming to me to rejoin GWS. I said on condition that with me all my earlier colleagues including those who are still in Goa should be admitted. There was no positive reply to this condition and hence till now I am officially out of GWS.

I was expecting other members in GWS to fight for my and my colleagues induction in GWS and question the leadership of GWS why me and my colleagues are kept out. But to my knowledge none including my close ones raised this issue and fought for our cause in GWS thereby allowing the leadership of GWS to create the rot it has created and for which all are suffering now.

Hence, by being out I am unable to do much but from outside I will do as much as I can.

Xavierbab, you new comer young and educated Goans try to join GWS as members and work for the good of Kuwait Goans. I am ageing now, so too many of my colleagues. Enroll all your friends and colleagues from AVC and elsewhere in GWS and fight for justice for Goans especially the downtrodden in Kuwait. The present leadership of GWS is in the hands of questionable characters. They made a mess of GWS. The ringleader was accusing Vincente D'Souza of hiding the fund of the then Kuwait Goan Association but the same ringleader is doing worst. Vincente D'Souza was innocent but not the ringleader and that it is so is evidenced from his deeds. They are not proGoan like you and me, their one leg is in Kuwait and the second leg in Canada.

Regards,
A. Veronica Fernandes,

Francis Xavier Furtado on GWS KUWAIT AND ITS FUND.

Dear Mr. Veronica,

With reference to your article on GWS a lot has been written and said about this organization for the past few days on the electronic media. You say that you were one of the initiators to start this organization, then why you are not taking the initiative to put things in to right place. You always say in your articles that ‘’ We should’’ or ‘’ We have ‘’ to do this and do that, but why you do not start the process of putting things in the right place if you feel that wrong and injustice is being done. If young people like me and some others who came to Kuwait after year 2000 starts questioning GWS they will hit back on us stating that we have no right as we are not members nor we were there when it was formed.

You as a founder member of GWS I feel and think you have the right to do things physically or at least kick start the process. By writing articles and accusing, things will not change as people especially goans have short memory and crab mentality. By crying wolf no one can achieve anything. All of us like fiery speeches and writings as it makes our day, but the ground reality does not change. Our goan politicians also do the same things to please the public, but the end result is there for all to see in Goa.

You always state that no one presently existing in Kuwait helped you or your colleagues during the invasion time and for this you accuse all the presently existing organizations in Kuwait. I would like to point out to you that some of the organizations are formed after year 2000 and the invasion took place much before and people like me and some others were in colleges at that time, hence what do you expect from us. For people like me and some others Kuwait is not the first place to come and work, but we all respect Kuwait humbly as we do for other countries we have worked prior coming to Kuwait. So kindly refrain from clubbing all the organizations in one basket.

Regards,

Francis (Xavier) Furtado

The money that was collected by GWS does not belong to the three Curtorcars, it belongs to every Kuwait Goan, he/she may or may not be the official member of GWS. When GWS was formed these three Curtorkars were nowhere in the bright light, one of them was trying to sabotage the formation of GWS in its infancy only. During the first meeting held at Kuwait Sheraton to establish GWS I openly in my speech declared my support by declaring that "no Kuwait Goan should suffer in Kuwait for any misery because of the lack of money with him/her". We all were of one view on this point. The initiator of this association Mr. Vincente D'Souza told me "unless you support this new organisation, I will not go ahead". Since onus fell on my head, I said yes with the above statement.

During that time a Goan man from St. Cruz, Francis Araujo who was hanged in Kuwait was fresh in my mind. To hire a good lawyer for defending him for comitting two murders - one a Turkish and the other an Egyptian - his poor brother was struggling. Good Lawyer was demanding KD 1000/- and Francis' brother Daniel did not have even 1000 Fils. His financial missery was too much. Then I directed him to Indian Embassy and Church too where he got Mercy Petition done but Indian Embassy rejected him. No money - No good Lawyer, Araujo lost his appeal and thus he was hanged. If we had strong organisation to help Araujo financially, we could have saved his life.

Besides Francis Araujo, we had innumerable Goans in domestic sector and eleshere too needed financial help, to assist them I wanted this organisation. But ultimately wishes of people like mine remained a dream because after the invasion and liberation of Kuwait, GWS affairs gone into the hands of wrong persons.

According to the latest news, there is also a move created by the three Curtorkars to donate the fund of GWS to charitable organisations in Goa. GWS was formed to look after the welfare of the suffering Kuwait Goans and this should take precedence over everything else. Just because fund is in your hands you cannot do what you like. Everyone concerned must take note of this. GWS came into being for specific cause and that cause should be followed.

Now since the huge fund is kept hidden from GWS official account, people are concerned. It is peoples fund collected for the cause of people and it should be spent after the needs of the people only. Who is enjoying the interest of this huge money during the last so many years? Is this money kept ‘Rovannink Panttle Pondak’ or kept in their personal account in the Bank by the three Curtorcars? This attitude of these Curtorcars creates wrong image of them. It is wrong on their part because they took money from GWS and kept with them. If tomorrow all of them die suddenly then who will be the owner of this huge fund of public? Did anybody apply his mind on this point? Whatever it is, the fund belonging to GWS must return officially to official account of GWS and not to anyone however top person he or they may be in GWS.

In order to do whatever they want of this fund, GWS trio is creating a situation into the minds of some current members to forget about this fund and GWS as well. For this reason there was very poor attendance for the last AGM. According to one source, even required Quorum was not there to hold the meeting. This is what the trio wants and then use the money for them. It is public money and every member of Goan community must fight for its survival before it is become another Bombay Kudd money scandal.. In this fight to save GWS fund, some ex members and ex office bearers of GWS are also involved. They deserve support from all for the right cause and for justice.

From the on going debates one can conclude that most of our Goan affairs and Goan associations are into the hands of people with questionable characters. Some are Chors, some are Bebdes and others are Bamttes and most of them are selfish. We have to get rid of them and also get rid our associations and clubs of these unGoan and antiGoan elements. Then only we will have peace among us in Kuwait. Kicking out Chors, Bebdes and Bamttes from our circle, from our Associations and from our Clubs should be our top priority.

A. Veronica Fernandes,
Kuwait.

“Borem korteleanchea sodanch phattir ieata” and then these will sum my view of the culprits “todde asat je borem khorche-nat ani dusream-khui borem khorunk dinvche-nat” ani “toddeam’cheani borem korteleank pollounk zaina, dolleant thanchea matti poddom”.

I have not know Gasper Almeida for long, neither have I met him, but we have kept in touch through the electronic media but I have heard a lot about his persona and none of it has been on wrong side of the line. I do envy his grit and enthusiasm to help others without expecting anything in return. We have kept in touch for the last two years and I have a high regard for his ethics and understanding, although he had not known me, he made me feel extremely comfortable and close to him, he rendered me a lot of help and guidance in learning to write in Romi Konkanni, he was the one who gave me the impetus to keep on writing with encouraging words and support. I do admire his humility in his mails and the love he has for Goa, Goans and especially for our Mother Tongue.

He is indeed a man of few words and his works speak for themselves. A dedicated man of the caliber of Gasper Almeida should be encouraged and felicitated and not discouraged and humiliated. It is indeed a part and parcel of social work, that one has to suffer ignominy for his dedication and generosity - May truth prevail.

RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SON.

The Return Of The Prodigal Son

As I browsed through most of the Goan news papers, I noticed all of them had the same story on the front page, “the return of the prodigal son” to the Congress fold, with pictures of smiling faces all-around. I am not at all surprised at this show of high octane theatrics which will surely explode in their faces in due course of time.

Our Holy Book gives us a perfect example of repentance and forgiveness in one of it’s parables, the parable of the “prodigal son”, but here we most certainly have a prodigal son in an entirely different form, this prodigal son who had left the Congress fold for mere personal reasons and ego, back stabbing the Congress at the twelfth hour, with a show of arrogance and attitude, but then in a surprise move, supported the very Congress government that he had ridiculed and humiliated just before the election, and was rewarded with a Ministry for his post election support, forgetting all his transgressions, but even after the change of heart from the Congress, during the last three years he has been a constant thorn in the side of Digambar Kamat, threatening to over throw the His government, with the help of the elite G7, lead by none other that our flamboyant Mickky mouse, the dynamic duo of Mickky mouse and the Monster-rat was indeed too hot to handle for the “billie” (cat) from Margao, but now once Mickky has been taken out of the equation, the G7 has wobbled and what better way and time, to come back to the arms of the ever forgiving “mother” Sonia Gandhi.

Though the theme is the same, the behaviour of the prodigal son is in total contrast, in the Bible the prodigal son repents after spending his father’s fortune on life of debauchery, here the prodigal son in non-repentant even after all the scams, and still arrogant. The prodigal son in the Bible came back after spending his share of his father’s property, here the prodigal son has come back with wealth a plenty, with a lot of gold on his fingers, neck and may be in a lot of other places as well. The Bible portrays the prodigal son with shabby clothes, and equally shabby appearance but this prodigal son has come back, well dressed and with well oiled mustache and well groomed hair. In the Bible the prodigal son came back with his head down, full of shame but this prodigal son is back with his head held high, chest pushed out, tummy tucked in and his nose up in the air with no remorse at all. In the Bible the prodigal son’s return was celebrated by the father but the elder brother was disappointed, here the mother has forgiven and the elder brother (Digu) is celebrating, he seems more then relieved that his chair, is now secure, for sometime atleast.

The message here that the Congress has sent out, is that the Congress in Goa is nothing more than a mere brothel, join in have fun and leave anytime and if neither party is satisfied with the performance of each other, they can always leave creating the worst of scenes and then come together any number of times for another performance without any “preconditions”. How gracious Congress hearts and ideologies ? It’s politics at it’s ugliest best.

The question now on everyone’s mind is, how long will this “love-hate” relationship last ? When will the Don Monserrate get an itch for Digu’s chair, next ? Will he really anchor in fidelity and keep his vows intact ? Only time will tell, though I must say that the ambitions of crooks do not succumb to the treachery and guile of the same.

Dear Wilson Coelho, Sharon de Sousa, Sydney Furtado and Rabindra Pimenta.
The coco-meme stories you have forwarded by giving it a name called REPORT with the poor attended lunch session is nothing but lies and mere fabrications. We will not allow you to tarnish the image of ex-committee members. It shows your quality of ungratefulness minds towards my services for several years. Was it because I pointed out that funds were not accounted for properly?

Rabindra wasted hundreds of dinars on tips to waiters conniiving with Wilson Coelho with any approval from any committee members? Whose father what goes? I am still to receive responses from the others who are lurking behind in the shadows? Where is Franco now? He was talking big, big things on the Soor Grounds against the GWS committee before? What happened? Where is Cajetan Pereira, Joe FX D'Souza, Philo Rebello, Mario Rebello.... why have they been kept outside during the AGM? What happened to IAC money? Why has the ex-President not paid yet for expenses incurred on behalf of GWS and approved?

Instead you are claiming for money not collected during the tenure of Rabindra Pimenta and Tony Cordeiro? Why is Rabindra Pimenta now accounted for? Why has Tony Cordeiro not paid yet the sponsorship money for May Ball? What happened to Alexander Fernandes-Mario Rebello-Tome Gracias initiative of re-registering the society? Why has this not figured in the AGM. Why was it not taken? What has my suggestions in revising the constitution not considered? No wonder Wilson you were thrown out by employers in the past in Kuwait and still continue with your 'sonsodo' mentality of garbage and filth on the internet as well as in the social circuit.

CONTRIBUTION OF SENIOR KUWAIT GOANS FOR GOAN CAUSES - II.

All the activities indicated in part 1 of this article were initiated and organized by the elder Kuwait Goans including myself. This category of elder Goans is now coming to an end in Kuwait. I and few of my colleagues are the last vestiges of the old Goa lover Goans still surviving in Kuwait now. Once this generation is finished either thru retirement or thru death, there will be no activity in Kuwait for the cause of Goa and Goans because the current crop of new comers and those who are born and brought up in Kuwait is not much interested in Goa and Goan causes. Many of them are not even interested in returning back to Goa, they are crazy for getting Portuguese Passports and settling down in the West even by doing menial jobs and facing slavery. They are Western oriented and showy Goans. Many of them feel ashamed to identify themselves as Goans. Some of them have already changed their Goan surname FernandeS into Spanish style FernandeZ giving a fake impression that they are of Spanish origin, they feel low to identify themselves as Goans. These Goans are suffering from anchestral and family inferiority complex and they lack educational and intellectual background to be proud of Goan. They are of very backward Goan origin in Goa belonging to hoi-polloi background.

My regret is this that currently our activities, organizations and leadership are gone into the hands of selfish Goans. Almost everybody is interested in self promotion and money. Goan Welfare Society’s fund meant to spend for the benefit of Kuwait Goans is kept into the personal account of three office bearers against all norms and rules and worst part of it is that like ‘Ghantta Boil’ most of the members agree to this. This shows the quality of our Goans to work upright and to fight for justice. The very person accused of demanding Sex from Goan females for jobs is holding the reins of our Society. He is not even ashamed to move in Goan society and shameless Goans supporting him must be even doling their wives to this Sex crazy president. Moreover, many of our associations are gone into the hands of Drunkards, one of whom cannot even stand properly on his own two legs inspite of having Walking Stick as his third leg. It is a shame to have such Goans ruling our associations elected by equally drunkard members under the influence of ‘Soro’.

The current Goans will do nothing in life for others and for society. They are brought up in selfishness to think and to act selfish because they are influenced by Bharati Ghantti selfish culture since Goa from December 1961 has already become Bharati -ised and Ghantti-ised. Many of them are academically educated but lacking in wisdom and intellectual power. They will only make money for them and boast of their financial empire which finally they will leave behind and go to the graves as forgotten human beings. Even their children will not remember them to pray for their souls when they die.

The current generation wants only self publicity for this reason they are licking the shoes of the visiting Goan politicians. Many of these Kuwait Goans are so intellectually bankrupt that they will even dole their wives and daughters to the visiting anti-Goan corrupt politicians provided they get opportunities to click their photos with these corrupt Goan politicians. I cannot understand the logic behind some of our fake leaders to invite corrupt, anti-Goan and anti-Kuwait politicians to Kuwait. What these politicians have done for the cause of Kuwait to adore them as heroes? What these politicians have done for us Goans? They are all selfish and for such selfish to adore means adoring Lucifer. Only shameless Kuwait Goans will give preferential treatment to corrupt Goan politicians who when we are in Goa will not even look at us inspite of our welcoming them to Kuwait. In Goa when they are on the strength of their official and ministerial status they are acting like Maharajas, some of them by forgetting even their shabby past. The biggest ‘Beiman’ among Goans are the politicians and the way their ‘Beimanponn’ I have noticed none other in the Gulf has noticed. In the past I have given enough of welcome for some of them in Kuwait and supported fabulously many of them in the promotion of their political career but in the end they showed ‘Beimanponn’ not on me but on the cause of Goa, Goans, Konkani and Kuwait for which I am fighting from Kuwait for so long with the help of my colleagues minus the shameless Kuwait based "chamchas" of Goan politicians. Goans in Kuwait must boycott all those fake leaders, their clubs, soccer teams and their associations welcoming and honouring crook Goan politicians. And if Kuwait Goans are real sons and real daughters of their real fathers then they will implement this boycott.

Those Kuwait Goans who are on forefront to welcome coupt Goan politicians in Kuwait even to the extent of collecting funds for their elections back at home are of very low quality intellectually. They were rejected in Goa by the qualitative society. Their parents and grand parents were not allowed even an entry into the ‘Balcao’ of the then Goan ‘Regidor and later on they were not allowed entry even into the Panchayat Ghar. Hence, these Goans are suffering from psychological humiliation and to overcome this humiliation they associate with corrupt Goan politicians acquiring a psychological feeling that they are now become aristocrats. My foot!! Such Goans will never improve by associating with corrupt Goan politicians who are worst than prostitutes. They are responsible for all the ills that are happening in Goa. They want to implant their corruption among us in Kuwait too. Intelligent Kuwait Goans must take note of it and make them aware that Kuwait Goans in general are not cheap and not bribable commodities like their chamchas in Kuwait. If we allow these corrupt Goan politicians in Kuwait, they will surely destroy our fabric. Visiting Kuwait regularly means something is cooking in their minds. Voting Rights for NRI is in the offing. Demand for acquiring Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Centre is also coming to impress upon Kuwaitis that they are the makers of the movement in Goa in support of the liberation of Kuwait. Let this be on record again that none of the visiting Goan politicians, not even their family members associated in our movement in Goa for the cause of Kuwait's liberation. Not only that, none of the Kuwait Goans whose photos appeared in the media along with corrupt politicians supported Kuwait during the invasion of Kuwait when we were doing so many activities for the cause of Kuwait. These Kuwait Goans are not patriotic to Kuwait.

We the ageing elder and senior Goans created a very good base for our youngsters and new comers to Kuwait to work for Goa and Goan causes but these youngsters and new comers including my nearest and dearest are destroying this base. This is the big tragedy.

CONTRIBUTION OF SENIOR KUWAIT GOANS FOR GOAN CAUSES - I.

In his article in this forum on June 14, 2010, well-known Goan writer Freddy Agnelo Fernandes from Dubai, UAE, whose writings are admired by the readers all over the Goan world, writes the following:

QUOTE In my earlier days in the Gulf I use to admire the unity and the efforts of our Kuwaiti Goans towards Goa's causes, they had strongly supported the Konkanni movement, among all the Goans in the Gulf, the Kuwaiti Goans were the ones who projected Goa in the Gulf with our culture and our mother tongue. Of late I have been very disappointed with them because even after witnessing the woes in Goa created by our corrupt politicians they still seem to have adulation for these monsters of corruption and depravity and are facilitating them at the drop of the hat, sometime back both Mickky and Churchill were given the honours and I have just heard that there is a football tournament in the name of the other Almeao, who is running illegal mining in Goa. I plead to you my dear UAE and Kuwaiti Goans, please stop this sacrilege towards Goa and Goans, boycott our present politicians, we should be out for their blood and not to facilitate them, they are the cause of all our misfortunes in Goa.

UAE Goans please for the love of Goa show our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Goa – Boycott this Tiatr if Churchill is invited as Chief Guest” UNQUOTE.

The contributions of Kuwait Goans for the cause of Goa and Goans was indeed great. No expatriate Goans has done as much as Kuwait Goans have done for the cause of Goa and Goans. The earlier Goans who came to Kuwait for employment came with a vision to do something for Goa and Goans and in that category of visionary Goans all my colleagues fall. We belonged to the category of intellectual Goans and precisely because of this gift we deprived so many facilities for us and for our families and instead devoted ourselves, our energy, our finance, our intelligence and our other resources more for the cause of Goa or Goans. Three decades back me and many of my colleagues in our activities landed in Kuwait and immediately we embarked on our movement for the cause of Goa. My first initiative was for Konkani in 1975 where I was fully supported by my colleagues and also by senior Goans who were in Kuwait much before me. Though they had no dynamism, motivation, capacity and know-how to initiate Konkani movement from Kuwait yet they had great hearts to support us in our movement and finally we succeeded because of the total support of all Kuwait Goans.

As a matter of interest, if Konkani movement gained strength and success in Goa it was only because of the strong financial support from Kuwait Goans. No individual person in Goa, however mighty he may be now, can claim sole credit for himself for the success of Konkani movement in Goa unless he is the robber robbing the credit of others. Many of the people involved in Konkani movement in Goa finally gained benefits thru political and other platforms while we Kuwait Goans having done so much for the cause of Konkani from outside Goa and in a difficult situation have not gained any such personal benefits and we never aspired for same either.

Novem Goem Daily was our first successful movement from Kuwait. Then there was our another initiative 26 years back when we formed KUWAIT KONKNNI KENDR to help the cause of Konkani. KKK is the only such organization formed by Goans anywhere in the expatriate Goan World. The work of KKK in the promotion of Konkani language, Goan Culture, Goan Tradition and Goan History was immense. It will require volumes to describe here the work of KKK. This success of KKK came only because of the total dedication with sincerity of all the KKK members.

Then came our strong support for KPA movement in Goa. All Konkani activities we supported from Kuwait were thru our financial assistance. Besides, we supported financially so many Konkani activities including Konkani Martyrs Fund Collection. We also organized activities for promoting and supporting Mando Festivals in Kuwait and in Goa, also other Konkani related movements including donations for Churches, Convents, Chapels including Fr. Freddy’s Gulab.

For the promotion of Tiatro in Kuwait, we did tremendously well and put a strong base for this great Konkani art. We did this not to make money for us personally but to keep this art alive and firm in Kuwait. Unfortunately, under the cunning leadership of Jose Rod and supported by all his cunning colleagues there appeared division among us, in Kuwait. Jose Rod and his colleague initiated destructive ideas of discriminating against their own Tiatrist colleague. The formation of Tiatristanchi Sonvstha was to destroy the art of Tiatro in Kuwait but finally it failed.

Then came Kuwait Goans financial support for Goa Cancer Hospital which is now shelved by the initiators in Goa making us regret for funding it to the tune of around 20 lakhs of Indian rupees, about 30 years back. We gave financial donation to have Cancer Hospital of Goans in Goa but when money went out from our hands as donation, the recipients did what they felt good for them by ignoring our wish.

The another dynamic initiative of Kuwait Goans was the establishment of Gulf Goans Hotels Company where as its monument we have constructed an ‘A’ grade Hotel ‘Goan Heritage’ on a huge plot at Calangute Ghauravaddo where so many Goans are working and gaining their livelihood there.

Then we started our campaign for the direct flight from Dabolim to Kuwait and vice versa. No doubt especial committee was selected to oversee its work under Vincente D’Souza the then president of Kuwait Goan Association yet I worked tirelessly along with others. In this work I organized a Tiatro of director Vincey to raise fund for the expenses for this work, all tiatrists acted free of charge. Later on I used my personal influence thru Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center to personally impress upon Ghulam Azad Nabi – Aviation Minister of India who finally made our direct flight a reality. Direct Flight from Kuwait to Goa was the first in the Gulf. The benefit of this success is now enjoyed by all Goans.

Then we formed Konkani Heritage Kuwait thru which we also helped repatriation of Goan and Konkani maids sheltered at Safe House in India Embassy by giving these maids free Air Tickets from Kuwait to back at their homes.

Earlier we worked very hard to start, promote and flourish our competitive soccer at Kuwait Sour Ground because of which we Goans got so many benefits. United Goans Football Center deserves full credit for establishing this activity in 1979 where directly and indirectly I played my role too in its promotion.

We also formed Kuwait Goan Welfare Society to help our needy Goans where lakhs of Indian rupees fund has been collected. The main aim of this Society was to help the needy Goans in Kuwait.

TO BE CONCLUDED.

MEMORIAL SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN KUWAIT.

Navelim Salcette is a village that gave to Goa great sons, two of them were Dr. Francisco Luis Gomes and Cardinal Gracias. Some years back Alfred D’Cruz a renowned Goan journalist employed at local ‘Kuwait Times’ Daily Newspaper had with him a research work on Dr. Francisco Luis Gomes and the same he wanted to publish in a small booklet form. For this purpose he approached me to approach the local stalwarts of Navelim village Association which I did. Unfortunately, to my regret I found none among Navelim people whom I approached knew about Dr. Francisco Luis Gomes and the worst part of it was that they laughed at me for soliciting their support for this cause of their own villager who brought great honour for Goa and India. It was sad to note at that time that how ignorant people were they whom I approached. It was not only in Navelim circle but almost every Goan association in Kuwait we have more ignorant idiots than intellectuals. Some of our associations are headed by people who are fit for nothing but only fit to make a big show of them. I feel ashamed to see them in such positions. They are giving a very poor image of Goa and Goans in Kuwait.

Recently we noticed the news item saying that Churchill Alemao during his recent visit to Kuwait gave a Cheque equivalent to Indian Rupees One Lakh to Navelim Youth Centre – Kuwait, to organise a Seven-Side-Side Memorial Soccer Tournament in memory of his late murdered brother Alvernaz Alemao. That Churchill Bros. are known to be the great supporters and promoters of Soccer is a known fact and their late brother Alvernaz as a member of Churchil Bros. has also played a role in the promotion of Soccer is also a known fact. In such a situation his memory should be deservingly kept alive. Persons who did something for the cause of Soccer deserve such honour after their deaths but surely not Kids who have never even kicked a football and inspite of this fact some idiots in Kuwait organised memorial soccer tournaments in memory of their late children. By doing such things the idiotic minded Goans in Kuwait displayed not their wisdom and intellect but their money power and ignorance.

While appreciating Navelim Youth Center – Kuwait to organise Alvernaz Memorial Soccer Tournament in Kuwait and thereby honour not a Navelkar but a Varcakar, however, on the contrary I fail to understand why this same Navelim Youth Center-Kuwait is not organising till now the memorial soccer tournament in memory of their late own Navelim son Custodio Fernandes who was one of the very responsible Goans in Kuwait in starting competitive soccer tournaments in Kuwait for Goans in particular and Indians in general in 1979? The late Custodio Fernandes popularly known at that time as ‘Castro’ played a very good role with his other colleagues in United Goans Football Centre in initiating our soccer activities at Sour Ground. He was not a businessman but yet he used to spend money from his own pocket for this cause and also spend lot of his time for running about. While in this process, he faced lot of obstacles, humiliations and even insults but never gave up. His efforts in promoting our soccer in Kuwait was great. I am yet to see such an encouraging and dynamic Navelkar in Kuwait. Custodio Fernandes never craved for cheap publicity but craved for doing something for the cause of Goans in Kuwait.

That Varkenkar Alvernaz Alemao contributed well for the cause of soccer in Goa is a true fact but Navelkar Custodio Fernandes helped in giving birth to our competitive soccer in Kuwait and thereby united Goans in Kuwait is an undeniable fact and for this great Navelkar cannot his villagers in Kuwait, do anything? Or do the Navelkars in Kuwait love Goan politicians proposals to promote their interest? Are we Goans in Kuwait suffering from ancestral inferiority complex by shamelessly bowing down to the wishes of visiting Goan politicians? Are we so poor intellectually to take pleasure in displaying our photographs with the anti-Goan policy followers of visiting politicians as if it is a big honour? Big honour only for Goans suffering from inferiority complex. While honouring their neighbour, Navelkars should also rightly honour their own son and if possible honouring “Ghaum Bhau” should take priority.

Recently I have noticed lot of Goan politicians queuing up to visit Kuwait as Chief Guests and as Guests of Honour for unrecognised by Kuwaiti authorities Soccer Matches and for Tiatros. Some of those involved in promoting Mickey Pacheco in Kuwait are very much dejected that Pacheco was dethroned from his ministerial portfolio. For these people there was none besides Pacheco to be proud of because for these people Pacheco means Emperor. When recently Pacheco’s Empire collapsed, his supporters in Kuwait also collapsed. I pity them. In the bargain, Mickey Pacheo’s forthcoming visit to Kuwait for the next week’s Tiatro ‘Advogad’ also collapsed.

Goan politicians are ‘XIMBRE’, ‘BEIMAN’ and ‘GHATKI’. They need Kuwait only for their own promotion and for their own benefits. During the time of invasion of Kuwait, none of the Goan politicians openly supported us in our movement under Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center, in our Public Meetings and Rallies in support of the liberation of Kuwait. Most of them were mocking and laughing at us for organsing this movement for the cause of Kuwait because they never expected Kuwait to be liberated. But some of these shameless politicians are now licking the boots of Kuwaitis and sucking the excreta of Kuwait. I don’t understand why there is sudden craze for Goan politicians in visiting Kuwait very often. Is it true that some of them visiting Kuwait to meet their concubines like many of the visiting priests? The urge to visit Kuwait for our politicians is such that they volunteer even to pay their own airfares and of their accompanying delegations comprising even their mistresses. Good that their contribution in our movement in support of Kuwait during the invasion of Kuwait is MINUS ZERO otherwise they would even hijack Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center from our hands and declare to Kuwaitis loudly that they were the makers of the movement under Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center in Goa. And some of their Kuwait based Goans whose contribution in our movement is also Minus Zero would support them because these Kuwait Goans are cheap for publicity. I have already spoken to many influential Kuwaitis informing them that Goan politicians especially those frequenting Kuwait regularly have never supported Kuwait in our movement for the cause of Kuwait. These politicians are TRAITORS TO KUWAIT and those Kuwait Goans who support these TRAITORS and their activities in Kuwait are double TRAITORS TO KUWAIT. Promoting visiting Goan traitors in Kuwait who betrayed Kuwait with a Judas Kiss is an anti-Kuwait act. All Kuwaiti patriots should know this.

Kuwai.

StyleSpeak: Stockholm Syndrome

In response to:
Message: 10

From: Wendell Rodricks <wendellrodricks@gmail.com>
Subject: [Goanet] StyleSpeak: Stockholm Syndrome

Wendell has very nicely knitted the past and the present, the way he does his finery for the fashion shows and without doubt he is a master craftsman, what he says in his post is mostly true. We have elected our politicians, hence they are public servants who have to be accountable to us and have to respect us as citizens of the state and not override us with their pathetic corrupt ideologies.

Our politicians sure do not care to improve their image by a change in attitude but on the contrary they do everything possible to justify themselves for the depravity that not just flows but gushes out of them. We may be surely suffering from what Wendell calls "Stockholm syndrome" as even after all the degeneracy and decadence that they have managed to burry us in, we still like to honour them to no ends, the "Stockholm syndrome" is definitely evident in some, if not most of our Goans in Goa and in Diaspora.  We just seem to be blind, dumb and deaf to their regressive and appalling behaviour and ideologies.

I do admire Wendell for his views on Goa, his outspokenness and his fondness for the Goa of old, we all know the nostalgic feeling when we look back at the good old days but there are a few things I do not agree with his line of thinking:

When Wendell say that he does keep the professional affliction of the politicians from their persona as fellow humans, is amazing but I would like to add that as an icon of modern Goa along with Remo and Hema, should by all means stand for what they believe and tell our politicians so, on the face, without malice, it is not enough to write or tell others what rascals our politicians have been, these monumental monuments of cacophony should be washed and humiliated at every opportunity to show the quantum of our disgust for these besmirched species.

I also do not agree with Goans submission to the "Lima syndrome", because so far we have been the patients of both "Stockholm syndrome" and the "Lima syndrome" for too long a time and that's the reason, that we are where we are today, in no man's land caught between the conniving despoiled politicians and our dreams for a better future for Goa and Goans. What indeed Goa needs right now is the "Maoist syndrome". I am sure all will understand what I mean by "Maoist syndrome". If you look at history, it's only a popular uprising that has brought down Governments to their knees and change of ideologies. If we have to wait for Digu and his thirty nine thieves to be compassionate to the "Lima syndrome" of Goans, we may have to wait for eternity, victims of "phantasm syndrome".  What's that ?  This syndrome is a hallucination that makes people believe that the impossible will be possible.

Asking Digu to show us his heart is useless, I am sure all our politicians must have kept their tender hearts in some vaults in Switzerland and they would in no way let us have a glance at that and what they have in their chest and on person is not worth looking at because it's worse that Mahim sewer of Mumbai.

Goan Politicians Should Get Gold Medals For Denying

"I did not call Goans squealing pigs, I said, even in case of "developmental" projects our NGO's squeal, like pigs do, even when they are taken for other than killing" was the clarification made by our esteemed PWD Minister, he further says that if any can prove that he called Goans squealing pigs he would resign. Damage control at it's best, has any Ministers actually resigned for their follies in Goa before, even after all the scams ? Some of them who did, were forced to resign. By the way which NGO's is he talking about, which NGO is opposing the Raheja's "developmental" project, if our esteemed Minister say so ? Raheja's "developmental" project is opposed by the very residents headed by Orlando who is infact fighting against the illegalities in the project, I sure hope our esteemed Minister knows the difference between opposing "developmental" project and fighting against illegalities in a project. Just because he, a Minister, scribbles a note on his letter pad does not make illegalities legal. He should know better or does he think that the Law starts and ends with him in Goa ?

In India we all know how very easily evidence can be cooked up as well as be destroyed, it's been more than three weeks for the incident and he asks for a proof now ? On second thoughts he most probably did not say that the Raheja's "developmental" projects would create employment opportunities for Goans as "watchmen" too, it was just his opponent from Navelim who is trying to defame him and put him down in the eyes of Goans. All the problems he has had with building of his bridges, his developmental mega housing projects, his widening of the NH and may be even the MOPA project must be the handiwork of his opponent from Navelim. Is Churchill suffering for "the Navelim opponent" phobia or is he scared of his very own shadow ?

When will Churchill and his thirty nine rotten collogues understand that the Goan people who had elected them are opposing not the "developmental" projects but those projects that are illegal and those that are detrimental to the progress of Goa and Goans. All these mega projects have made the lives of Goans even more difficult, with the woes of the common men ever increasing. Water in the taps is a rare phenomena, electricity more often than not does the disappearing act, garbage is still a monstrous issue, sewage has always been an overflowing glitch, in a situation like this what does our esteemed Minister expects Goans to do ? Sit back and get ourselves run over by the wealthy non-Goans and the migrants ?

There is a new flagship that the Minister has started to revive his drooping image, it's called the BPL carrier, the vote bank accumulation scheme, I do ask the esteemed Minister to give us the statistics of how many Goans and how many migrants from his Navelim constituency have benefited from this scheme ?

Our esteemed Minister also said that his and his family's sacrifices for Konkanni are unmatched and that people will remember his good deeds only after his death. Does it mean we will have to wait for his "Beatification" or his "canonization" ? In life while he has been portraying himself well, as the man of the masses, he has been the one back-stabbing us Goans, for his own personal gains, he has been a thorn in the side of Goans ever since the Konkanni movement. If he has so much love for our mother tongue why are we still fighting for Romi Konkanni to be given equal status ? If he has done so much to stop MOPA and save Dabolim, why is MOPA still going ahead ? Goans are certainly not fools enough to be fooled all the time. Your time is up Mr Churchill Almeao and please don't even think of getting a ticket for your daughter, right now we Goans would rather have pigs on our menu than Alemao's for the next election.

Dear Mr. fernandes,
The priest does not fall from heaven. He is like you and me. We never ask the question as to why there are scandolous christian laity who occupy the front rows in the church organisations.
We need to question the state of our Goan society and its values and families. If our familires are OK we will get OK leaders in public life.

WHAT AILS OUR CHURCH & CATHOLICS? - I.

With my head down in shame as a Catholic Christian, I write this piece. By tradition Goan Catholics are judicious, upright and properly disciplined giving top priority for the maintenance of high morality. What is happening now in Goa with regards to the suicide case of young married female Nadia Torrado and the alleged involvement in this case of former Tourism Minister Mickey Pacheco is a matter of shame. Mickey Pacheco is a Catholic, Nadia Torrado is Catholic, her mother who as given to understand was close to Mickey Pacheco is Catholic and Lyndon Monteiro, Mickey's Officer on special duty also implicated in this dastardly case is also a Catholic. Besides innumerable persons supporting Mickey in this case are also Catholics. So my question now is what sort of Catholicism we practice by playing dirty all around and by leading an immoral and criminal life? Is our Catholicism permit us to commit suicide? Is our Catholicism permit us to physically assault a female till she is forced to terminate her life by committing a suicide? Is our Catholicism permit us to support disgraceful and criminal politicians and Ministers? What sort of Christianity we practice? What role our Church is playing to minimise and to eradicate such criminal acts? What doctrine our Church teaches us in the Church? Or our Church leaders and clergy also involved in promoting crimes and immorality among Catholics? It looks they are, for this reason all are silent now, no saner voice is heard from any of the clergy members leave aside Bishop from Panjim Altinho who it looks is busy in something else which is of his personal importance.

Mickey Pacheco's candidature for the Goa Legislative Assembly from Benaulim constituency was supported by almost all the Christians mainly Catholics. Are they not ashamed to elect such a bad person? They should put their heads down in shame and take an oath never to elect again not only Mickey Pacheco but also others of Mickey type. Benaulim constituency in the past has played a very pivotal role in electing people of good morality. Benaulim constuents in the past during the Opinion Poll have played a very productive role in voting judiciously and thus save Goa from the clutches of Maharastra and Marathi. But now by electing Mickey Pacheco Benaulim constituents have committed a big sin by imposing on whole of Goa a person whose moral character is very sinful. The crimes Mickey Pacheco committed as a politician and as a Minister by using his political and ill gotten financial clout on innocent Goans will be answerable to supernatural power. All those who supported Mickey will have to pay the price for the sin of electing and supporting Mickey Pacheco, they all will face the curse and wrath from God, this curse will come on generations to generations because of the ill deeds of Mickey Pacheco. The innocent blood of innocent female will speak and speak openly and loudly, not later but very soon. This is the secret and victory of natural law.

And what about the role of Priests from Benaulim constituency? According to my information if not all then at least more of them have supported Mickey Pacheco inspite of knowing Mickey Pacheco is a corrupt man. Is it right on the part of the priests to support such a corrupt person? Where is the Christian character of Priests gone? Can such priests practice Catholicsm in particular and Christianity in general as propounded by the Christ? Only morally corrupt priests can support corrupt people and that there are plenty of such corrupt priests in Benaulim constituency was proved by the support Mickey Pacheco got from these corrupt priests, Calvert Gonsalves in his CD 'Dogui Bodmas' clearly indicates the character of corrupt priest who supported corrupt politician. Politicians rob poor citizens thru different corrupt methods and give donations to the rich Churches manned by the corrupt priests and these corrupt priests push the ignorant faithfuls to elect corrupt politicians. For this reason our Catholic Church is remained as corrupt headed by the corrupt leader seated at Panaji Altinho and living the life of a Maharaja. What good will come from such a corrupt Church? Because of this reason our Goa Church is not enjoying good reputation and will never enjoy because most of our priests are championing the cause of corrupt, robber, rapist and criminal politicians.

See the character of most of our Catholic MLA's and Ministers in Goa. It is nothing but filth. They are acting as "Dadas", many of them have snatched wives from the hands of their devoted husbands and made them as their concubines. Many of the Portuguez top "Pakles" used to do the same for Goan wives during colonial rule with the backing of their official power. These Pakles were responsible for breaking the marriages of many of our Goans while our Church leaders remained silent. Most of our ills in Goa happened because our Church leaders and priests remained as silent spectators when they should raise their voice. What Portuguez Pakles did during those Portuguese days in Goa are now being done by the rascal Goan politicians especially MLA's and Ministers. Mickey Pacheco's case is one such open example. If Mickey Pacheco was not guilty he would never resign from his Cabinet post. Resigning from Ministership is like giving up one's soul. Who can do this easily unless one is really guilty? Narvenkar once did similarly during his scandal with Sunita.

TO BE CONCLUDED.
