TIATRO "SUKNNEACHEM GHOR GHONTTER NHOI".

While strongly commending Mario Menezes for staging his nice Tiatro “Suknneachem Ghor Ghontter Nhoi” on 27^th of this month at Pai Tiatrist Hall, Margao which was a house full attendencawise, I strongly condemn the vulgar scene enacted by Comedians Brian and Salvy and also the comedy Trio rendered by Comedians Brian, Jannet and Selvy.  In that comedy scene, Selvy carry a Radio set but since due to non-availability of the range, he touches the upper tip of the Aerial of the radio set to the private part of comedian Brian and suddenly radio set starts.  When vulgar members of the audience laugh loudly for this vulgar act, they both like “Baizona” repeat the same action.

In the trio the language and actions used by them clearly indicate the display of vulgarity.  The terminology used by them is having double meaning and the action they display while singing their trio clearly show the indecency and vulgarity. It is really disgusting and humiliating for the decent audience to see this nonsense.  It is surprising to note how such a decent and educated man Mario Menezes tolerated this type of vulgarity in his beautiful Tiiatro.  It is also surprising to note that none of the senior Tiatrists participating in this Tiatro brought this to the notice of the director.  Just because you get encore once, twice and thrice that does not mean your trio and comedy are good.  Only the third class audience applauds this type of third class comedy and song done by the third class Tiatrists. Because of this vulgarity much of the greatness of this Tiatro suffered. Tiatro is a part of our cultural item and it is our duty not to malign it by using it indecently and vulgarly.

What I have seen in my life after watching Tiatro for so many years, Tiatrists having third class parentage and disgraceful family background are the authors of vulgarity and indecency display from the Stage.  They are scum of the society and shameless. It is this class of Tiatrists that was once responsible for degrading the quality of Tiatro and precisely because of this the elite class of Goans boycotted the Tiatros. Pai Tiiatrist Joao Agostinho Fernandes called such Tiatrists as "ROSTAD TIATRISTS".  Who is this comedian Brian a “kalcho porcho potto” to take law of decency into his own hands and display vulgarity on the Stage?  His father Peter is so nice, cannot he guide him properly?  Who is comedian Selvy and comedian Jannet to display their dirty talent on the Stage?  Didn’t these comedians get proper parental care and discipline at home or they are brought-up in the jungle like wild animals?  Tiatro is not their monopoly to act the way they want.  What is  their contribution to raise Tiatro to the pedestal?

Coming back to the Tiatro, story is well scripted and well enacted mainly by Mario Menezes himself, Rosy Alvares, Tari and Semenca.  The story tells how the present day generation is not bothered on its elderly parents.

In the side show songs Saby de Divar’s solo on politics scores highest marks and if I am not mistaken he is the best currently in rendering political songs which he renders with perfect clarity and they are full of logic and matter.  The solo sung by Jr. Nelson on politics  was worth admiring and his trio with his other two colleagues was exceptionally fabulous. Lawry Travasso rendered a good solo and a duet with Rosy Alvares.   Marcos Vaz’s solo on the plight of the three sick Tiatrists namely Anthony D’Souza-Ben Evangelisto-Jr. Rod was fantastic.

STATUE OF ABADE FARIA IN CANDOLIM.

 

The Calangute Panchayat and its strong man Joseph Sequeira deserved highest compliments for erecting at Calangute the first statue of the late Dr. Jack Sequeira in Goa.  This was the fitting tribute to the great work Dr. Sequeira put in to get victory for Goans in the Opinion Poll and precisely because of his enormous efforts and leadership he is rightly called the Father of Opinion Poll.

 

In Candolim there is one Vaddo known as Pintos Vaddo where from came the renowned revolutionaries, the “Pintos” who though failed ultimately in their goal to oust the Portuguese rule from Goa thru their revolt known in the history as the “Pintos Revolution” yet they sent a strong signal to the colonialists that their rule over Goa is not tolerated.  This Pintos Revolution was led by the Catholic Priests and it took place 2 years before the French Revolution.  One of the priests Abade Faria who was implicated as a distant party to this revolution from Portugal, left Portugal in time to avoid suspicion against him while some of his colleagues including prominent Catholic priests were arrested in Goa, tortured and hanged in and around Panjim.  From here it should be noted that the first revolutionists against Portuguese colonialists were none other than the Christians and that too the Catholic Priests.  

 

From Portugal to be on the safer side, Faria moved on to France where he came in contact with some of the renowned French revolutionaries whom Faria divulged all the facts of the Pintos revolution in Goa. Buoyed by this news, the French revolutionaries devised their strategy and embarked on their revolution which came only after the Goa’s Pintos revolution. The great French revolution was inspired by the Goan Pintos Revolt against Portugese regime in Goa.

 

The name Abade Faria is no doubt a history yet it is a living history and as such it should be kept alive for the posterity to know its greatness.  Abade Faria is known all over the world and Goa is fortunate enough to give birth to this great man. It is a great honour for a small Goa to produce such a big world renowned Hypnotist.  It is also a great honour for a tiny  Pintos Vaddo in Candolim to give birth to such a mighty world famous personality. The Pintos Vaddo in Candoim carry the unique distinction of giving birth to this great genius whose house where he was born is kept alive. No doubt, now since it is under the custody of Goa government where orphan boys are housed there yet it should be converted into a great Museum of Abade Faria to attract intellectuals from all around the globe seeking more knowledge of Abade Faria. 

 

In Candolim many times I met some globetrotting tourists who were inquisitive to know more of Pintos and Abade Faria.  Worldwide intellectual giants are more interested in knowing more of world famous Abade Faria than the locals and insiders. 

 

It is said “Prophets are not adored in their locality” and precisely because of this nobody in Candolim thought of erecting a Statue of Abade Faria on the main road opposite to his house or opposite to Bosio Hospital where there is nice location.  Candolim Panchayat should have taken up this task long time back but it failed inspite of having one of the long time Sarpanchas as an educationist.  For Candolim Panchayat to erect this monument financewise is not difficult, only the will to go ahead is required.  Candolim Panchayat is a rich Panchayat and as such it can easily erect this Statue.

 

If Calangute Panchayat can erect the Monument of Dr. Jack Sequeira in Calangute then I am sure the Candolim Panchayat can very easily erect the Monument of the son of the soil, Abade Faria in Candolim.

CHURCH FIGHT FOR JUSTICE IN SOCIETY.

While delivering his landmark judgment on Pe. Chico Monteiro in a Panjim court in mid sixties, Justice Jetley concluded saying “Fr., You being a man of God , you must confine your activities within your religion only without interfering in politics”. Pe. Chico was insisting that Goa was invaded but according to the landmark judgment of Supreme Court of India, “Goa was conquered by India” and as such we officially all Goans are conquered people. Justice Jetley was expert only on legal matters having Zero knowledge of Christianity which otherwise allows clergy and Church leaders to fight against the injustice as we see all around the globe.  Pe. Chico’s fight according to him, against the government of India was the fight against injustice done to Goa by Nehru’s government by interfering in Goa militarily thru  violence.

 

Priests and Bishops are known to take active part in politics to fight for justice in society especially for the weaker section.  In Nicaragua the Sandinista government of Daniel Ortega had priests in his Cabinet doing so well against injustice.  However, while serving the government they never neglected their pastoral duties. 

 

Fr. Torres some years back in South America removed his priestly robe when it was obligatory to wear, took a gun and threatened the bandits who were harassing his mission of giving shelter to the street boys.  He took this step when he found the political will wanting from the local politicians to allow him to do his charitable work.  He was fighting for justice for these poor boys.

 

When Ferdinand Marcos was committing all the excesses in Philippines, it was Cardinal Sin of Philippines who revolted against Marcos and got him defeated in the ensuing election by bringing in Corazon Aquino. This revolt of Cardinal Sin even had the approval of the then Pope who noticed lot of injustice done by Marcos to his people there.

 

Martin Luther King in USA, used Pulpit to preach politics against injustice and thru this method he brought in changes in society.

 

The former Polish Pontiff had actively worked against Communism till it collapsed in Russia and in Eastern Europe.  Under communist regimes people faced lot of injustice then.

 

These are just a few examples where priests and church leaders took active part in the political, social and other aspects of society to bring about justice in society.

 

Coming back to Goa where Fr. Eremito Rebello is leading a movement against Mopa Airport, there are lopsided voices against him saying he must as a priest desist from involving in such activities which should be left into the hands of politicians.  As for me I see no reason for him to withdraw just because he is a priest.  Priests are bound to fight for justice and since Mopa Airport is going to do injustice to Goa, Fr. Rebello must fight and  in this fight every Goan seeking justice must support him. Even Jesus Christ fought against injustice.

TIATRO "AKANTVADI - PART II".

 

On 19^th of this month  at Pai Tiatrist Hall, Margao, at 3.30 PM, I saw the Tiatro “AKANTVADI –PART II”.  Though it was an excellent script but sadly attended by only half the capacity hall crowd. Maintaining his tradition of challenging the government machinery, once again the young writer and director Tausif de Navelim fully exposed the chicanery of Goa government headed by Parricar first and  by Parsencar now.  To make it more authentic, Tausif even introduced two characters having resemblance of Parricar and Parsencar as shown in the pictures here.

Earlier when Bandodcar was sucking Goa, to hit him hard and to expose him fully, the late Nelson Afonso introduced a character in his Tiatro exactly having the same looks like that of Bandodcar.  Tausif followed in the footsteps of Nelson Afonso and he succeeded in his endeavours in baring the misdeeds of both the Chief Ministers.

Among the political Tiatros of this season, Akantvadi Part II till now is the best scoring 4 out of 5 Stars.  It was very bold and courageous play and the artistes also played their roles very well.  In this Play Tausif describes how the Ministers support the wrong doers and how also the Policemen in Goa dance to the tune of the ministers.  He shows both the good and the bad aspects of Goa Policemen and  holds the Ministers responsible for making slaves of the policemen.

Edward the son of yesteryears Tiatrist Tony Sax plays an excellent role of a Police Officer though he lacks the art of singing unlike his father who was very good in singing with perfect clarity. 

The role of a mentally deformed girl played by the young girl F. Rodrigues deserves highest compliments.  She brought her role to the highest perfection and being new to the Konkani Stage and that too at this young age means something extra ordinary feat.

Annie de Colvale also deserves compliments for playing her role very well.  With her beautiful looks and majestic personality she brought an extra flavour to her role.  It is long time now since I saw her last but always I find her doing her role very well.

Tausif de Navelim like a captain of the Cricket team played his inning very well.  Since this Tiatro is going to be staged in other parts of Goa, I desist from giving full details of the story but only disclose here that this story is highly political touching every aspect of Goan politics and the corrupt ministers and politicians.  Such a story none of the Goan directors staged before.  Precisely because of this daringness, Tausif de Navelim is become what is he now in Tiatro world.

As far as Side Show songs are concerned, the director failed in this segment.  Side Show is the most important part of the Tiatro and Akantvadi Part II failed to come to the expected level as far as Side Show is concerned.  With the exception of 2- 3 songs, the Side Show lacked the required punch though Ashton stole the show in all his 3 solos especially his political solo.  He is like a new finding as far as political songs are concerned and as a matter of fact I can easily equate him with the current top political singers. In the absence of variety in Side Show songs, it looked empty. Ron and Ortencio too rendered their solos.

The comedy part lacked nothing, it was done to its perfection by both the ace comedians Neto and Ortencio.  I can easily rate both these comedians together as the best, they jelled well and thus gave their best.  Young Neto is exceptionally talented and because of his flexible body moves his comedy becomes more attractive.

VULGARITY & INDECENCY IN TIATROS.

In the Facebook yesterday, prominent writer/journalist Daniel D’Souza wrote thus:

“As a senior writer director and playwright, I have high regards for Patrick Dourado. It was with this respect, after a fairly long time I ventured to go and see his latest tiatr ‘Mhozo Sangati Tho’ showing at the Ravindra Bhavan Baina, Vasco this afternoon. It was shocking to see the comedy sequence between comedian Brayan and comedian Luis Bach’chan wherein they openly display a ladies nightie, a black coloured ladies slip, and a red ladies brassier to evoke cheap laughter...”

There was a time when this beautiful art of Tiatro went into the hands of third grade Tiatrists who used the Tiatro Stage to release thru their  filthy tongues and actions nothing but filth and vulgarity.  It was during this period that educated and elite class of Goans stopped from going to see the Tiatros.  So much so, the decent people even stopped moving with Tiatrists and also stopped having their friendships.  Good and decent families then stopped getting their daughters married to Tiatrists because of their low caliber discipline.  These Tiatrists were Drunkards, Sex maniacs, ruffians, rowdies, jobless and irresponsible. 

Seeing this state of affairs of these Tiatrists,  Joa Agostinho Fernandes who is called Pai Tiatrist, sitting on the grass ground at Azad Maidan in Bombay was found crying   When asked why he was crying, replied Pai Tiatrist thus, “I am crying to see to what level our Tiatros are brought by the “Rostad” Tiatrists.  This art of Tiato is a great art which was created by  Lucazinho Ribeiro and we carried it forward  with noble principle for noble artistes and for noble audience.  But sadly it is gone now into the hands of “Rostad” Tiatrists who bring it a very bad name”.

During those days  the decent and elite parents would never easily allow their sons to act in the Tiatros.  Acting in Tiatros means lowering one’s family status.  During those days Tiatrists were equated with prostitutes in the sense that the way the services of prostitutes are  sought for few hours, in the same way Tiatrists were admired for few hours till the end of Tiators.  They were called the Kings of three hours but after this period they were rejected by the decent society because of their indecent acts and vulgarity displayed on the Stage.

Once in my village, my father as a contractor organized one Tiatro of Bombay troupe where the late C. Alvares rendered a duet with Philomena Braz.  In this duet Alvares sings one line thus “Aum poddlam tujea mogan pun azunui shot marunk na Golan”.  Listening to this statement, Rostad audience applauded Alvares but decent ones condemned it,  so much so, some decent persons from the audience came to my father and told him to convey their disgust to Alvares saying such a terminology does not suit him especially when Alvares is enjoying top status in the Tiatro world.

In Kuwait nobody wrote reviews of Tiatros as I did, both in Konkani and English. When I landed first time in Kuwait, our Tiatros were full of vulgarity and indecency because most of the Tiatrists were of third grade having no education, no proper manner nor proper family background.  Vulgarity and “Zupatti” were routine and audience loved it. Xavier Gomes had a very dirty habit when singing his solo as a female, to pull up his dress while going out and thereby giving cheap pleasure to the cheap audience who immediately blow their whistles to call him back.  Then I used my pen to oppose this vulgarity till he stopped it.

Once while singing their trio in the Church Hall, Cajetan-Marcus-Xavier, they displayed ladies undergarments, namely Panty and Brasiers.  Seeing this, the decent people got disgusted on this Trio even complaining to the Bishop to stop renting the Church Hall to stage Tiatros.  Immediately then I wrote my review in Konkani Weekly condemning this vulgarity and  mentioning thus “Eklean Cheddi dakoili aple Naikinnichi, dusrean Body dakoili aple bailechi ani tisrean aple dhuvechi”. Though I gained ill will from the culprits but I succeeded in halting the repetition of such vulgarity.

What I observed from those Tiatrists who used filth on the Stage was that their family background and family discipline were very low.  They are brought up like “Rostad” without any parental guidance, without proper educational background and without decent surrounding. Once because of his double meaning solo, I refused the late H. Briton from participating in one of our Shows in Kuwait.

Even recently I directly pointed out on his face to one comedian of Roseferns Tiatro that he should stop doing vulgarity on the Stage.

Currently only the cheap, the third class and Rostad type of comedians make use of vulgar and indecent comedy.  It is they who bring the standard of Tiatro down.  They must know that they are not the owners of this art to do what they want. As a director, Patrrick Dourado must stop vulgarity in his Tiatro with immediate effect and must apologise for this goof.

IS MICKEY PACHECO SHIELDED BY BJP & CONG.?

It is strange that even for the highest judicial authority Mickey Pacheco does not care.  Are we in India living in a civilized society where there should be respect for laws and court verdicts?  Or are we living in a Jungle where the supremacy of wild animals’ power rules?  By evading the authority to surrender Mickey Pacheco is making a mockery of Indian legal system and in this direction he is, as it looks ably supported by the BJP governments, both in Goa and at the Centre as well.  Since Mickey Pacheco was a part of BJP led coalition, he is given all the protection by the Parsenkar government.  It is a shame for the government in Goa not to know where Micky Pacheco is residing now.  Just because Mickey Pacheco is a V.I.P. absconder there is no ruling government’s prowling on him. Hence this government is unfit to rule Goa. 

 

 

While the government is supporting injustice by shielding clandestinely Mickey Pacheco, the opposition Congress Party under the weak leadership of Luizin Faleiro looks also shielding Mickey Pacheco by not raising this issue forcefully and vigorously. It looks there is a secret understanding on this topic between Luizin Faleiro and Mickey Pacheco. Congress is capable to have an understanding even with the worst criminals and fugitives for its benefits since it is a party without principles.  Precisely because of this attribute Congress suffered the worst defeat in the last election and if it further acts like Dr. Jackeyl and Mr. Hyde then the Congress will be totally uprooted from Goa.  As it is Congress got foothold in Goa not thru its own efforts but thru the support of other parties like UG and Cong. U.  Hence, its roots are very weak in Goa and if the present leadership does not fortify its base by inducting in it fresh and young faces, surely Congress will evaporate from Goa like Ether.    

 

 

Today we in Goa are complaining of bad governance but to put it figuratively it looks to me there is no government functioning only in Goa. Not a single segment of government is functioning well, every segment is headed by the minister but are these ministers fit to be ministers?  Everywhere in Goa there is chaos and disorder while ministers and their subordinates are busy in making money mainly thru unfair means.  The freedom for Goa from the Portuguese rule is become good for the rogues more and the victory for the anti-mergerists in the Opinion Poll is become very good for the mergerists to loot Goa.  What would be their position if Goa had been merged with Maharastra?  They would be rotting like nobody in Goa. But unfortunately these looters are ruling in Goa.  This is the tragedy of my beloved Goa.

TIATRO "MHAKA TUJI GOROZ" BY COM. DOMNICK.

 

On 11^th of this month at 7.30 PM,  I saw the Tiatro “Mhaka Tuji Goroz” written and directed by Comedian Domnick and it was attended by the less number of attendees since many empty chairs were visible in the hall.  Unfortunately,  during the second session, one Snake suddenly appeared in the Hall near the G Row forcing the solo singer on the Stage to stop singing his song as there was chaos in the hall for a few minutes till somebody from the audience maimed the Snake with his Chappal.  It was finally proved to be a “Malund” but this Malund  put fear in the hearts of the audience.  The management of Kala Academy  must be careful in the future to avoid such dangerous visitors in the Hall otherwise it will be held responsible for any untoward incident.  When the management knows to charge heavy amount of fees for this  hall then it must also know to keep the hall free of reptiles and snakes.

Though the main story of the Tiatro is simple yet it was meaningful since such incidents are common in our society where a family member works to create a discord in the smooth functioning of family life.  Anil played the role of a destructive man in the family and he did this role as usual with perfectness. The others who played their roles well were Felcy and Olga while both the comedian brothers Domnick and Luis Bachan handled the comedy part well.  The comedy was witty and full of sarcasm and the audience liked it.

Though the Side Show songs were not up to the mark yet the female artiste Olga stole the whole show by rendering very powerfully her powerful solo on Goan politics. She attracted the admiration from the audience for this song in every respect namely in lyrics, singing, clarity and boldness.  The musical accompaniment was very good especially the Clarinet played first time by a young female.

The Trio on harassment for Christians in India rendered by Anil Pednecar was worth listening as it was composed well.

Felcy’s solo was interesting and she rendered it very beautifully with her mellifluent voice. The duet of Anil and Olga also received a good response from the audience.

While thanking for the felicitation, Anil Pednecar expressed his regret for the poor turnout of the audience and requested the Tiatro goers to support them by coming in big number.  No doubt people go for Tiatro in good number but not for all Tiatros.  People has got their own taste and accordingly they go for their tastes.  However, the joy and pleasure one was getting by watching the yesteryears Tiatrists are gone from the Stage forever.  There was different type of joy to see Alfred Rose, M. Boyer, Remie Colaco singing their solos, so also of Trios of Trio Kings;  The pleasure one would get in just seeing Jacinto Vaz entering the Stage is dead now;  the thrill one would get seeing the beauties of Konkani Stage namely Mohana, Antonette, Ophelia, Violet, Bettys, Rita Rose and Jessy is gone into extinction.  The happiness one would get by listening to Kid Boxer’s political songs was the happening of the past since none of the current political singers  can revive it.  The uproar of Young Menezes’ entry creating in the Hall is no more seen now.  Likewise I can cite so many examples.  Nowadays for many going for Tiatro is just to kill time and not to gain anything.  For this reason many people find some Tiatros and Tiatrists as “pochpochit” not worth going.

COMEDIAN AGOSTINHO FELICITATED IN DUBAI.

Tiatrists Agustinho, Pradeep Naik, Selvi and Janet were felicitated in Dubai

during the Tiatr ‘Picnic’ which was well received in Dubai and Muscat.

Well known Goan tiatrist, producer, writer, director and famous comedian Agustinho’s new triat ‘Picnic’ was staged in Dubai and Muscat on 9^th and 10^th April 2015 respectively and it received  a very good response from the Goan audience there. Agustinho Temudo,  Pradip Naik, Selvi and Janet were felicitated with various awards.

Gabi productions (Gabi de Chandor) had organized Picnic tiatr at Al Nasar Leserland Auditorium, Dubai. The show was houseful and audience gave huge response to the tiatr. Producer, writer and director Agustin Temudo was awarded best writer/director award. Pradeep Naik who played the role of a Catholic Priest was awarded with best character actor whereas comedians Selvi and Janet were felicitated with best comedian actor and actress awards by Gabi de Chandor. He said, “Tiart is an age old art form of Goa and people should cherish this art form”. Comedian Agustinho expressed his feelings on this occasion and also proposed a vote of thanks.

DADAGIRI IN GGHC - HOTEL GOAN HERITAGE.

This is in reference to the communication dated 30^th April, 2015, from Gulf Goans Hotels Company Ltd., signed by A.W. Coelho as VICE CHAIRMAN, to the shareholders.

First of all it should be known that A. W. Coellho means Alex Wilson Coelho from Curtorim and settled in Canada.  He worked in Kuwait for over three decades and is one of the Shareholders of Gulf Goans Hotels Co. Ltd.  Currently he is one of the directors but definitely NOT VICE CHAIRMAN of the Board. If he is a real Vice Chairman then he should prove it by evidence the Board resolution electing him as Vice Chairman.  Officially with the concerned authority his name is not registered as Vice Chairman and as such he is telling lies and such liars are not fit to be in the Board. Is Sam Alphonso decent enough to investigate this mischief of Coelho?  Otherwise he should withdraw his backing for Coelho.

Alex Wilson Coelho is a sexually perverted man.  A few years back in Kuwait he arranged a job for a young Goan girl and then demanded sex from her.  When her mother came to question him during one of the public meetings she rattled him openly but he was dumb,  silently accepting his guilt with shame.  In view of this, can this man be trusted in the Board?  Even the modesty of the girls employed in this company and especially in Hotel Goan Heritage is in danger.  If Sam Alphonso is a man of character then he will dissociate from Coelho.  Only sexually perverted men will support men like Coelho.

Alex Wilson Coelho was one of the main person in the association called Kuwait Goan Evacuees Society formed following the invasion of Kuwait.  This society took the responsibility on its shoulders to send  the Kuwait evacuees back to Kuwait on their previous jobs.  For this purpose this Society asked the Kuwait evacuees to fill some forms for a certain amount as fees which when accumulated came to lakhs of rupees.  Finally this amount where it went nobody knew but none of the evacuees who filled these forms was sent to Kuwait by this Society.  In this way Alex Wilson Coelho and his gang duped the Kuwaiti evacuees with their money.  Can anyone trust this Alex Wilson Coelho in the Board as director? Can Sam Alphonso trust such a man in the board?  Sam Alphonso is making a big blunder of his shares by trusting this Alex Wilson Coelho whose record as far as money is concerned is very bad.

Up to now he is not disclosing where about the huge fund of now defunct Kuwait Goan Association  of which he was the leading member.

In the same communication as indicated above, this A.W. Coelho asked the shareholders to give their mandate to the Chairman Justine Fernandes for another 5 years.  But is this A.W. Coelho received the mandate from his Board to go to the shareholders  for this extension?  I know for sure this subject was not fully debated in the Board and  as such he is wrong, he is acting as if the Board is his father’s property.  Can Sam Alphonso tell if this is right on Coelho’s part.  And what about the Board members?  Are they sleeping?  They are elected by the Shareholders to protect the interest of their shares and as such they must act in such a way that A. W. Coelho must be stopped from taking action unilaterally.  If necessary, Board members must take recourse to legal means otherwise he will dupe the share holders.

It is according to the information,  his idea to extend the term of Chairman Justino Fernandes to another 5 years.  Why this extension for a man who is not sound physically and mentally also?  Nobody can trust this man to do justice to his extension and that too for the increased remunerations totaling to Rs. 75,000.00?  Both these Coelho and Justin by acting like dictators will destroy the Hotel.  They have questionable characters.  Is Sam Alphonso reading this?  He will be held responsible for any disaster in the Hotel because of his blind support for these two crooks. Why such a push to Justin’s extension when he has already finished his term?  Is he a genius in Hotel administration and management? When he was appointed as Chairman it was done not on merit but to fill the gap after Flav’s retirement.  Otherwise, he is an idiot and for such an idiot only the idiots will demand extension.

Meantime, anyone from the Board or Shareholders must lodge a complaint with the ROC against the illegalities going on in the Board of GGHC Ltd.  If you allow A.W. Coelho a little elasticity to do what he wants, he may even sell the Hotel without anybody’s notice and disappear from Goa.  Such a cunning man is he.  Shareholders must rise now in unison and control the moves of Coelho thru legal procedure.  And the Shareholders spread around the globe must stop giving their proxies to Justin’s extension if they want betterment of their Hotel.  

 

MICKEY PACHECO & SALMAN KHAN.

 

While condemning  the lengthy judicial procedure to pronounce the final verdict on two prominent cases, one of Salman Khan and the other of Mickey Pacheco, I feel proud to state that Justice is still alive in India contrary to the opinion expressed by many disappointed Indians.  One thing is certain; to get justice one has to fight for it as Adv. Aires did against Mickey Pacheco.  Who ever thought Mickey Pacheco will face such a disgrace after 10 years of filing a case against him by an Engineer who in a Hitlerian manner was slapped by Mickey Pacheco?

 

What Mickey Pacheco thought of himself that he is the feudal lord to take law into his own hands? During Portuguese time some Bamonn Bhattkars used to deal with their poor Munddkars in a similar manner.  Just because Mickey  was the minister he cannot act like Saddam Hussein.  Even Saddam Hussein faced the wrath and faced the consequences of his sins he committed in Iraq. Good that Ministership is only a temporary phase and not a permanent job otherwise most of the Ministers and MLA’s especially the sons and grandsons of Ladru-Pedru like Micky would terrorise the society.

 

 

What is the opinion of Micky’s secretary/PA who complained of the Engineer to Mickey? Is he not responsible for the disaster of his boss?  These secretays and PA’s mostly coming from hoi-polloi background think too smart for themselves.  They should not put petrol in the fire and those who are  Christians they should be more tolerant in tune with their religious commandments. Otherwise they are disgrace on Christianity.

 

 

Coming back to Salman Khan, pride of money, name and fame has gone to his head making him numb to take care of his rash behavior.  His 5 years sentence may remain suspended for the time being but the peace of his life is totally shattered which will surely affect his future. This will be the biggest sentence passed on him because he has killed an innocent poor man.  His soul might have gone into heaven but Salman Khan’s body till he is alive will suffer as if he is dumped into the hell.

 

 

When Justice Sinha of Allahabad High Court passed his verdict against Indira Ghandi in 1975 by unseating her from the seat she was elected thru fraudulent means, the world hailed Indian judiciary as upright.  In the same way, once again Indian judiciary is hailed for its uprightness when judgement was passed against Mickey Pacheco and Salman Khan even though Khan’s judgment is still reviewable.  That they both with their mighty power failed to purchase the judgments in their favour itself is a big victory for Indian judiciary.

Hotel Goan HERITAGE is the unique project of expatriate Goans built by the Goans working in Kuwait, about 30 years back.  The architect of this Hotel project built under Gulf Goans Hotels Company,  was the most dynamic Goan in Kuwait  in particular and in the Gulf in general,  Mr. Vincente D’Souza.  Since the establishment of GGHC and starting of the Hotel Goan Heritage at Ghauravaddo, Calangute,  it is the first time now that worst crisis are seen brewing in the company management.  During the last Board members election, according to the available information,  due to manipulation and chicanery by the Chairman and his cohorts, one of them is already expired recently, the results of the election is held in abeyance for ROC to take the final decision.  This final decision may take a long time but meantime four candidates contested the last election and declared elected first, are still  out  of the Board. 

In view of this, the Board is functioning almost half of its capacity thereby hampering the progress of the Hotel.  To make the matters worse, according to the information received, the idiotic minded Chairman Justin Fernandes from Saligao issued an instruction to the remaining Directors mostly belonging to the opposite camp NOT TO ENTER THE HOTEL PREMISES thus debarring them from participating in the decision making.

 In view of this, the Hotel and the company is managed by only two directors headed by the idiotic minded Chairman who is totally unfit to be in his position.  Physically he is sick suffering from different sicknesses including Cardiac arrest and mentally he is not very sound, he is almost 80 which means his mental faculty must have been corroded to be on that post.   Because of his sickness and inefficiency on the job in Kuwait he was not recalled by his Kuwait management after the liberation of Kuwait while even a Peon was recalled.   This man is ruining the progress of the Hotel, he is not interested in anything but only to receive his monthly emoluments of 50 thousand rupees with everything found including booze but minus official concubine. This man fit to be a Peon without proper educational and administrative background, by being the chairman is acting like a feudal lord. He cannot talk properly nor conduct meetings and yet shamelessly occupying the hot seat to be controlled thru remote control by another idiot director Wilson Coelho.

According to the latest information, Wilson Coelho who is a self-appointed deputy to the chairman without official sanction  is preparing the groundwork to give extension of another 5 years to that unfit “Mataro” Justine Fernandes with an increase in salary of Rs. 25,000/-.  Why this extension?  Is it to allow Wilson Coelho to grab full power of the Hotel management?  Are there no directors in the Board to occupy the Chairman’s post?  Shareholders must now rise in unison to oppose this move when this proposal comes to them in the next emergency general body meet in June 1^st week.  Shareholders must refuse their proxies for this extension.  Also the Shareholders  must now only think to throw out Wilson Coelho from the Board by knocking him down in the next election which is due very shortly. 

This Wilson Coelho is responsible to create a rift among Goans in Kuwait.  He was responsible to destroy  other Goan associations in Kuwait.  He is the most destructive man among all the Kuwait Goans.  He was a scandalous man involving in Sex and finance  scandals in Kuwait.  He is supported blindly by the highest shareholder from Kuwait Mr. Sam Alphonso who should be held responsible for all the wrong doings of Coelho.  Alphonso is a late comer in the hotel being a non-Goan from Karnataka.  He never supported the Goan movement in favour of Kuwait’s liberation when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq though he earned millions from Kuwait.  All are aware that he is ungrateful to Kuwait.  

The present Chairman along with Wilson Coelho is unable to increase the business by creating more Hotel Outlets as other Hoteliers are doing.  There is no improvement in the Hotel business since  the present shameless “Matharo”  Chairman took over  the Chairmanship.  His inefficiency  is a financial burden on the Hotel.  Since last two Board Meetings Chairman and Wilson are hiring the services of Bouncers to protect them,  from whom?  Are these two crook Board members so important to give them such a protection by paying exorbitant fees to the Bouncers?  Shareholders must know that company’s money is frittered away by these two who by no means should be kept in the Board because they are both cunning.

The shareholders if they want to protect their Hotel project and their investment then they must refuse extension to Chairman whose term expires very shortly and  secondly they must vote Wilson Coelho  out of the Board in the election due shortly. His one leg is in Canada and the other is in Goa, such persons should not be in the Board.  Outstation Shareholders must avoid giving their proxies in favour of extension to Justine Fernandes who being unfit will surely destroy Hotel Goan Heritage.  He is a shameless man.  At least his family members if they have any shame, must tell him to say bi-bi to the extension.
