The Goa Su-Raj Party, while congratulating Adv. Aires Rodrigues for this victory in his sustained fight against the powers that be, is not surprised at all that the Goa Police needs to be reprimanded by the Hon. High Court for not doing their duties. Goa is setting a dangerous precedent where the lives of the ordinary people are increasingly becoming insecure with Goa Police being managed by the political class as is evident in the 'Shiroda Serial Killer' case.
The Goa Su-Raj Party expected to see the headlines in the newspapers already, either that the Health Ministers has voluntarily resigned from the Cabinet, or, that he has been asked by the Chief Minister to put in his papers in view of the charge-sheet filed against him, to apply the same yard-stick that has been applied to the charge-sheeted corrupt Central and State ministers. The image of Goa has already taken a severe beating with cabinet ministers fighting publicly with each other and washing their dirty linen in public. Let us not have another blot on our State. Therefore, Hon. Chief Minister, Sir, it is high time to act.
