"RODDONAKA" KONKANI FILM BY PRINCE JACOB.

While lot of debates are going on all over India with regards to the Rape cases in Delhi in particular and in other parts of India in  general, just at this appropriate time Prince Jacob has released his new  Konkani Film    “RODDONAKA”. I have just obtained its copy in the form of Video CD from the local Video Shop. It is based on Rape cases in Goa especially by the sons of the Goan politicians mainly the Ministers  and it is worth watching this film. Goa Police force is also brought into the picture and its dirty role in supporting such cases.

All the artistes played their roles well but much credit should go to Annie Quadros for her role as a social activist fighting against Rape in Goa; she is not only the Pearl of Konkani stage but more than that she is an "asset" of Konkani stage. The other artistes who deserve mention are Rosario de Benaulim as Peon, both the girls who played the roles of Rape victims and comedian John D’Silva as Hawaldar. All the songs are interesting but the best song was the duo rendered by both the brothers Prince Jacob and Humbert.

Prince Jacob deserves lot of compliments for producing a nice video film "RODDONAKA".

THERE ARE LOT OF GOAN POLITICIANS RAPISTS IN GOA,KUWAIT AND CANADA. WHAT TYPE OF PUNISHMENT DO THEY DESERVE?

KRANTI'S REPLY: They all should be castrated either in crude way as we do in Goa for 'DUKOR' or in a refined manner 'CHEMICALLY' as they do in USA.

Subject: [G O A] ON DEATH OF DELHI RAPED GIRL.

From: goa.kranti@gmail.com

To: averonicaf806@hotmail.com

With my head down in profound sorrow I deeply mourn the sad death of the Delhi girl raped by the 6 Indian Monster young men, one of them was just a kid of 17 years. I was hoping that the poor girl will be okay with specialised treatment in Singapore but no, God willed she should not live in this world. What a pity that the poor girl had to die such a pitiable death leaving behind her bright future of medical profession and shattering all her dreams and ambitions which are going to be interred with her bones now.

India an Atomic power and lacking in specialised treatment for such sicknesses is something cannot be comprehended. India produces Atomic and other sophisticated weapons but lacks sophisticated medical treatment for its people is something to ponder.

Inspite of this, Indian government made all efforts to save the life of this girl is to be appreciated. Indian authorities left no stone unturned in attempting to save her life but final verdict was pronounced by the Almighty God Who alone knows why He picked her up to His Kingdom at a so early age.

Now that rapes are become daily routine in India what steps the government of India will take to arrest the raping trend? This Delhi girl was raped in a public transport bus and that too not at midnight but at around 8.00 pm. This shows how risky it is for the girls in India to expose themselves to the beastly barbarian rapists even during normal time.

Will Indian government headed by Congress with the support of others enact immediate legislation to make sexual assault as major crime punishable by capital punishment? Though it is imperative to have such legislation yet I doubt government resolve to come out with concrete steps. Rape and sexual assault must be equated with terrorism and the rapist terrorists should be hanged thru law just as Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Khasab has been hanged recently in Poona for terrorising Mumbai.

Many of the ills of India would have been eradicated long time back if Congress government at the Centre was sincere in enacting good laws for the benefit of India and Indians. This government at the Centre is not even ready to hold a special session of Parliament to debate on this current Rape issue. What a disgraceful government it is headed by Manmohan Singh! The poor Delhi raped girl died of failure of all her organs so in the same way Delhi Central government will also die of the failure of all its organs. It is a shame on India and government of India for not listening to the voices of the people who elected this government to power. Just as poor Delhi girl was raped and physically assaulted leading to her death in the same manner Manmohan Singh government in Delhi has raped and assaulted Democracy in India leading to its death. Real democracy is dead in India killed by the current government at the Centre by closing its ears to the demands of the people.

I cannot imagine the trauma and the pain the rapists inflicted on the innocent girl. They not only raped her but inflicted heavy and unbearable physical pain on her. It was nothing but torturing. Such rascals should be given severe punishment so that justice is done and warning signal is given to all the future rapists. To inflict such punishment government machinery should be put into gear by passing if required necessary legislations applicable to whole of India. Till such time public pressure should be kept mounting on the government of India thru demonstrations and Night Vigils not only in Delhi but also in other parts of India.

While concluding let me pray to God to give eternal peace for her soul and courage for her dearest and nearest to bear this colossal death.

Subject: [G O A] IS HINDU FANATIC MODI FIT TO BE THE PRIME MINISTER OF SECULAR INDIA?

From: goa.kranti@gmail.com

Congratulations to Narendra Modi for winning the recent election with heavy majority in Gujarat and getting selected to be the Chief Minister again for the fourth term. This proves beyond any doubt that he and his BJP party are liked by the voters there. The voters showed total confidence in him because he made lot of development in his State for the benefit of the people in Gujarat.

However I must ask now the question: Just because Narendra Modi is good in Gujarat will he be good also at the Centre as Prime Minister of India? No! Never. Centre is not Gujarat and secondly to entrust him with the task of ruling at the Centre as Premier of India is a big crime because Modi is already proved to be the greatest criminal when he sided with those who butchered mercilessly Muslims in his State.

Modi is a parochial leader not meant to be at Delhi. If BJP really projects him to be their candidate for the premiership then I am sure BJP will be the big loser. We cannot entrust India's premiership into the hands of a hard core communal Hindu fanatic. Modi’s earlier actions proved that he is the hard core Hindu fanatic. India’s secular fabrics will never accept him at the Center as the premier of India. Because of him secular people in India will not vote for BJP outside Gujarat.

To be the premier of India we must have a secular man having global acceptance. Modi is banned in the West because of his sins he committed against Muslims in Gujarat. It is a pity that currently India is not having any leader having global acceptance. Rahul Gandhi is an immature and parochial kid even though Congressmen are trying to foist him on India. Currently Congress Party is become bankrupt and to salvage its pride they are banking on Gandhi’s name. No doubt Mahatma Gandhi has done great job for the independence of India but he was not the whole and sole of fighting with the British for the cause of India’s independence. Others have also worked tirelessly for the independence of India. Besides Gandhiji was in no way related to Nehru clan of which Rahul Gandhi belongs.

It is a pity that currently India is not having any single leader of all India stature. Gone were the days when Ghandiji, Nehru, Indira and Jay Prakash Narain enjoyed acceptance from all Indians. Currently all our leaders are regional and as such they act very parochial. They are all Modis and Jayalalitas who are interested only in their own States. Leave aside all India acceptance, none of them is having global acceptance, Modi is having negative global acceptance because he is considered as butcher of Indian Muslims. This is his image and how can he become Premier of such a vast and complex country like India?

Modi’s elevation to the Premiership will surely belittle India’s image inside India and abroad as well. Hence Modi is not fit to rule India from Delhi and all those BJP stalwarts thinking to elevate him to the premiership of India they must change their stand in favour of someone who is less controversial, less communal and less Hindu fanatic. To rule India is not a joke and especially for a Joker cum criminal Modi from Gujarat who is known to be a communal dictator of Gujarat and a first class Hindu fanatic. We dont want such person to be the Prime Minister of India.

REAL BETALBATIM - DHL - MAROONS - WIN IN UG SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN KUWAIT.

The early morning of 21st December saw not the end of the world like some predicted but it saw yet another match of the United Goans Club Soccer tournament 2012 sponsored by Al Mulla Exchange.

The results of these matches may not have been predicted by the Mayans but it was just as exciting with the clouds pouring away. Nothing could dampen the spirits of the players taking the field not the ominous skies, the pouring rains and not even the talk of the end of the world.

Players of the Real Betalbatim F.C. and C.R.C. Chinchinim began the day with both teams rearing to battle out the storm and the game. Denzil Jodhav scored within minutes of the game givning Real a head start. The celebrations of that goal had not even worn off when Bradley Ragtao scored a well placed goal bringing the score to a 2-0 lead for the Real Betalbatim. It seemed to be raining goals for the Real Betalbatim as minutes after the last goal; John Ferrao scored yet another goal. But 3 Goals at this point apparently weren’t enough as Denzil Jodhav scored his second goal of the day bringing the Real’s score to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first half. Sealing their win with another goal by Ruzario Fernandes, the Real players ended the game with a 5-0 win over Chinchinim.

The Second match between the Indian Strikers and DHL was played well by both teams as they both evaded goals up until the last minute of the first half when Vico D’souza of DHL scored just as the halftime was called. This put DHL in the lead lifting the morale of the DHL players.

As the halftime buzzer sounded again signaling the beginning of the second half the DHL players seemed to be in the spirit of winning as Binoj Cheruvatur a second goal for DHL increasing the pressure on the Strikers. Binoj Cheruvatur surprised the DHL fans when he scored another goal from the center line with a perfect long shot, a beautiful sight for all those were present. The game ended with DHL moving ahead with a 3-0 victory.

The last match of the day was between The Goa Maroons and United Goans and what a match it was. United Goans had more possession of the ball but both sides fought long and hard to protect their goal and possibly score against their opponent. The score remained nil even through extra time and the game was finally decided by a tie breaker and the Goa Maroons walked away victorious after a 7-6 win in penalties.
The match schedule for 28th December 2012 is as follows;

1) Kuwait Goan Association vs. FC Sparks at 6:45am

2) Real Betalbatim vs. Malabar United at 8:15 am

3) Skynet Raiders vs. Curtorcares United at 10:00 am

ARROGANCE OF INDIAN GOVERNMENT.

First of all let me pray for the speedy recovery of the poor medical student girl who is still in Delhi hospital undergoing treatment for the sexual and physical attack inflicted on her in a Bus in Delhi by the six Indian Barbarians. May God give her courage to bear this trauma.

I strongly support all those people, namely men, women, girls and boys who gathered in Delhi, Bangalore, Kashmir and elsewhere making a big noise over this incident to the extent that making Government of India to bow down before the public pressure. This is called the People’s Power and student’s power is more piercing. It would have been nice if the students power would seen all over India demanding quick justice for their suffering colleague in Delhi. Students all over India should rise in unison paralysing whole of India in support of this 23 year Delhi medical student. If today it is in Delhi then tomorrow it can be anywhere in India. For this reason the new law has to be enacted uniformly for whole of India and not to Delhi only to inflict stringent and quick punishment for the rapists, eve teasers and molesters.

It is a pity the Government machinery is very tolerant and slow to react over such criminal incidents. If there was no public pressure this incident would go unnoticed. Government is a liar and arrogant; first it praised the Police saying Police has done a very good job and the next day the same government suspended some policemen for negligence in their duties. And now the Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikxit blamed the Delhi Police for this criminal incident. If police has done good job then why there was a need of suspending some policemen and blaming the Police for not doing their job properly in this matter? I have no trust in this arrogant government that it will handle this case properly. For this reason public vigilance is imperative to check political pressure is not brought to close this case with silly reasons.

In Delhi at Rastrspsti Bhawan and at Premier’s residence two Maharajas are sitting, both are immune to the public outcry. Though they are people’s representatives yet they act like feudal lords. Inspite of their repeated requests to meet the President and Premier of India, the delegation representing the demonstrators were turned back. If people’s representatives are not ready to meet with the people’s delegations then what sort of democracy India is having? Why this dadagiri on the part of Pranab Mukerji and Manmohan Singh? Do they think that they are super human beings coming from outer planet? With this type of feudality on their part will yield no results. By meeting the peoples representatives President and Premier would have identified themselves with the people but by not doing so they both acted like Dictators and colonialists. Even colonialists would not act in such a dictatorial manner. I don’t know when our leaders will learn to identify themselves with the public.

President Obam of USA is the most powerful official on this planet. Not only by nature but also otherwise he is a very humble man. Last week when he attended one condolence meeting to mourn the killing of 20 babies and 6 adults, he went and occupied the chair among the public as if he is a commoner. What a wonderful gesture of humility. By integrating with the public he identified himself with the common people. Will our leaders in India do the same?

During the Portuguese rule in Goa somewhere in 1958-59 the Taxi Drivers from Panjim went in a morcha to the Governor’s Residence shouting slogans in support of their  grievances. When Governor heard their voice, he came out, sent his Secretary to speak to them and assured them of his full support for their grievances. Why could not our President and Premier do in a similar manner as Goa Governor did? Our leaders are proud and drunk with power which keeps them away from public. This type of arrogance will not help India and Indians.  Our leaders should be easily accessible to the public for their grievances.

CALANGUTE & CANDOLIM PANCHAYATS WASTE PUBLIC MONEY.

CALANGUTE AND CANDOLIM PANCHAYAT SPEND OVER 50 LACS ON ADVOCATES

By Aires Rodrigues

The North Goa Coastal cash rich Panchayats of Calangute and Candolim together spent a whopping over Rs 50 lacs on advocate’s fees from January 2007 to June this year. This has been revealed in the information obtained under the Right to Information Act.

While the Calangute Panchayat spent Rs 28, 16, 250 on fees for advocates, the neighbouring Candolim Panchayat’s expenditure was Rs 22, 21, 575. Surprisingly the documents reveal that the payments were made without certificates issued by the Courts certifying the appearances.

The documents obtained under RTI also reveal that in many cases the two Panchayats have paid the advocates for appearances in the High Court much more that what the government advocates are paid. A perusal of the documents further reveals that in some cases payments were made to advocates without furnishing details of the cases or dates on which they appeared.

Interestingly the documents reveal that the two Panchayats had not obtained from the government prior approval required when the legal expenses exceed Rs 50,000 a year.

Since the expenditure by Panchayats is incurred from public funds that is a need for transparency and accountability in every paisa spent including that on Advocate fees. The Panchayats have been paying advocate fees for non effective hearings and the Circular relating to engaging advocates at fees prescribed by the Government is not being followed.

As this Government has vowed to bring down litigation involving the government to half, this should also be the thrust and endeveaour of all local self government bodies including Panchayats.

IS INDIA A LAND OF RAPE?

With my head down in shame as an Indian – not by choice but by force – I strongly condemn the horrendous rape and brutal physical assault on a 23 year old medical student in Delhi, the capital of India, by the 5 or 6 barbarian Indians. It is said that every 40 minutes one rape occurs in India and yet they remain away from Police notice. It looks India is become a country of Rapes only where females are become easy victims for the bastardised Indians because the bastardised Police Force and Politicians are immune to the plight of rape victims.

Immediately following this rape the Police Chief of Delhi when questioned by one TV Channel, he replied accusing the society. He should know that if society is so upright then why there should be a need of Police Force? Police are brought into the picture just because society is weak to control such crimes. Indian Police force is the most corrupt in the world because they are protecting the wrong doers with the help of bribe and also thru the instruction of politicians.

If such crimes can take place easily in Delhi which is the Capital of India then what about other less known places in India? I cannot understand why India has reached to such ebb!! India by our elders was called the land of sages and saints but now India is become the land of Barbarians and Rapists. It is a shame for civilized Indians to be the citizens of India where there is nothing good.

It is nice and encouraging to see students coming out on to the streets in support of the victim girl not only in Delhi but also in other parts of India including Kashmir. Up to now I did not notice any students group in Goa coming out on to the streets in solidarity with the raped girl. Goan students must also show their solidarity to their fellow student raped in Delhi.

I ON MY PART STRONGLY CONDEMN THE RAPE OF A MEDICAL STUDENT IN DELHI AND SHOW MY SOLIDARITY WITH ALL WHO ARE WITH THE VICTIM.

According to the available information, the raped girl and her companion had argument with the rapist gang when they approached her in the Bus with sexual advances. Then the process started not only of raping by all the gang members but also physically abusing and attacking the girl and her companion. Normally a rapist is the one who is burning with anger and this anger he releases on his victim and if the victim resists the rapist’s attempt then the rapist becomes more violent turning his total anger physical and sexual on his victim. This was what has happened to the poor girl in Delhi since doctors treating her said that such physical and sexual injuries they have never seen before. Such is the degree of attack made by those wild animals on the 23 year old medical student.

While pondering over this ugly incident of rape in Delhi I thought of George Bernard Shaw who once remarked thus “WHEN RAPE IS INEVITABLE, THE GIRL SHOULD JUST LIE DOWN AND ENJOY” without any resistance because if you resist the rapist will even kill you.

GOA CM PROMOES CORRUPT OFFICIAL.

By Aires Rodrigues

On what basis does Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar claim that corruption has come down by 50 per cent? Despite fear of a backlash by this government the complaints at the Vigilance department are mounting. Those having the Chief Minister’s blessings are managing to get the complaints against them shelved in cold storage.

Manohar Parrikar’s appeal that people should co-operate to ensure a corrupt free state is deceptive. I have personally drawn his attention to a couple of cases but the Chief Minister conveniently chose to look the other way. Despite an F.I.R of corruption being registered against the then Director of Prosecution Mrs. Shobha Dhumaskar, the Chief Minister high handedly gave her two extensions in service. Was that Zero tolerance to corruption. The Chief Minister should stop making any further promises and just start delivering on the pending pile up.

The Chief Minister does not want a sturdy Lokayukta because the corrupt deeds and blatant acts of maladministration by this government will stand further exposed. The earlier Congress government was very corrupt so is this one. Only the agents, brokers and beneficiaries have changed. You know it all, Mr. Chief Minister.

UG SOCCER TOURNAMENT IN KUWAIT. AVC - SKYNET - CURTORCARES WIN.

AVC, Skynet Raiders and Curtorcares United move ahead in the UGC Soccer Tournament

Friday 14th December saw clear sunny skies as players of the KIFF (Kuwait Indian Football Federation) came onto the field for yet another round of matches in the second week of the United Goans Club 2012 Soccer tournament sponsored by Al Mulla Exchange.

The match between United Friends Club VS AVC was the opening match of the day with both teams battling to stay in the tournament. But 20 minutes into the first half AVC got their first taste of victory as Regan Fernandes scored their first goal with a cleverly maneuvered header. Thus the pressure was on the United Friends as the half time bell sounded. The game had barely resumed when Sydney Monteiro charged on to score the second goal for AVC putting the United Friends in a very dangerous position. Moreover, before the United Friends had enough time to respond, Leslie Alemao scored yet another goal bringing the score to a 3-0 end with AVC walking away as winners of the match. The match referees were Sarto along with Mubarak and David.

The second match of the day was between the Kerala Challengers and the Skynet Raiders and it seemed like the Skynet Raiders had come with their mind set on winning as Sony Gomes scored their first goal within the first few minutes of commencement. Both teams held their own with a good defense backing them up until the very end when Fajilu Maveli scored for the Kerala challengers bringing them right back into the game with a 1-1 score. The match went into extra time and then penalties and finally Skynet Raiders walked away with a 5-4 win after a match well played by both sides. The Match Referee was Chris, Sharma and David were Linesmen.

19TH DECEMBER IS THE DAY OF ROBBERY OF GOA. PART II.

On 19th December 1961 Goa was not liberated by India but on 19th December 1961 Goa was robbed by India. The process of robbing of my immaculate Goa was started by Indian Army on 17th of December 1961 and finished on 19th December 1961. 19th December should be marked by the genuine Goans as the day of ROBBERY OF GOA by India and the young and new generations of Goans should be told that Goa was robbed by India on 19th December and not liberated. If it was liberated, India would have withdrawn from Goa by handing over the reins of Goa into the hands of Goans only just as India did in Bangladesh. Even in its landmark judgement on Goa the Supreme Court of India does not say that Goa was liberated because Supreme Court is manned by great learned judges who knew the real meaning of liberation.

In early thirties the new edition of Oxford Dictionary gave the meaning of a Jew as Dirt because rightly or wrongly Jews were considered as dirty in character. Seeing Indian Raj and system during the last so many years I can rightly say India means dirt, dirty in politics, dirty in administration, dirty in discipline, dirty in morality and dirty in almost everything compared to everything Goan. Our character is high, morality is superb and administration under Portuguese was excellent. In India rogues, criminals, rapists and other such rascals are allowed to become lawmakers and these lawmakers what good will they do for the country? Because such rascals are ruling India law breakers are acting like owners of India who got no fear of law. Indian Raj is a Raj of “Chor” where rascals only ruling by bending the rules. The Indian administrators and politicians are looting the nation thereby robbing the quota meant for the poor and regrettably almost everybody accepts it openly or silently.

During Portuguese time there was fear of law which was ably manned by able and discipline persons. There was life safety and security.  One village Regidor was alone controlling the law and order system and other administrative affairs of the village. He was appointed by the government on the basis of his integrity, educational and family background and above al on his uright character.

After the exit of Portuguese from Goa there is lot of development in Goa and it is a fact but if India had not to grab Goa the progress and development in Goa would have been much more and much higher. The Delhi Raj is a Maharaja Raj where third class politicians dictate the terms for Goa without properly knowing what is good and what is bad for Goans. These Delhi Babus want to turn Goa into a pleasure center for their enjoyment.

While all sorts of injustices are going on from Indian raj, to my surprise none of the freedom fighters raises his voice against these injustices. Today we are suffering the disease of Indianisation in Goa partly because of our freedom fighters who have no marbles in their Underwear to tell Indian government "to get out from Goa, we want our Goa in our hands",  otherwise surrender their Tamrapatras and Pensions as a mark of protest. Do our freedom fighters got the guts to do this? These freedom fighters some of whom were first class “Chor” and murderers during the Portuguese rule in Goa have sold their conscience to Indian government for the sake of Tamrapatras and Pensions.

Hitler had prepared his plan in advance how to administer the world affairs once he wins the war. He was very clever in this aspect. But our Goan freedom fighters have not done such a plan because they had no vision what to do for Goa once the Portuguse are ousted. Like fools they embarked on freedom movement. By shouting slogans like "Salazar Murdabad and Nehru Zindabad" one does not become a freedom fighter.

My question to Goan freedom fighters is this: “did you suffer prison terms and harsh punishment from Portuguese to see Goa giving into the hands of Indian rogues? Did you suffer so much from the hands of Portuguese to see Goa reach to this miserable stage?” You fought against Portuguese colonialism but instead brought in another colonialism from India which is worse than the Portuguese colonialism. Portuguese colonialism brought lot of life security, decency and discipline in Goa but Indian colonialism brought in Goa every thing bad and this bad culture made Goa corrupt.

Some of the freedom fighters are on record to crave for the days during Portuguese rule in Goa and some of them have arranged Portuguese Passports for their children. What a shame it is!! these people will even lick the boots of Portuguese now for their benefit. This is the character of such Goan Freedom Fighters.

Concluded.

19TH DECEMBER IS THE DAY OF ROBBERY OF GOA. PART - I.

That my Goa was under the colonialism of Portugal is a sure fact and it needed liberation from Portugal is also a sure fact. But why India interfered in Goan affairs? Why India poked its dirty nose in Goa shamelessly when India has no business to do so? Which Goan representatives officially appointed by the Goans requested Nehru and his Congress Government to annex Goa by using mighty military force against Portuguese troops in Goa and call it a liberation? Morarjee Desai once told Goans in Bombay that “you yourselves alone have to fight your battle with Portuguese in Goa to liberate your own Goa”.

Goa is our land independent of India and not attached to India and as such India had no business to enter into Goa with its mighty military force and evict Portuguese from Goan soil in the name of liberation. To liberate Goa from Portuguese colonialism was the job of Goans and we Goans knew how to fight for our freedom without the involvement of India. The freedom movement for Goa by the Goans was gaining strong momentum in Goa and Governador Vassalo e Silva who was the last Portuguez Governor of Goa and who was a core democrat and anti-Salazar regime was open for discussion on this topic. He once even requested patriotic minded Goans to come and talk with him on this topic.

We Goans were capable to force the Portuguese leave from Goa peacefully without any outside military intervention and if it was not for the sudden jump of Indian troops into Goa, Goans would have got their liberation and independence peacefully, may be not in 1961 but little later on. We Goans were ready to wait little later because we already waited for 451 years without any problem. But the Nehru Government of India destroyed our plans of obtaining full independence for Goa from the Portuguez.

My elder brother was working for Goa Police but earlier he spent a few years in Bombay, by being in Bombay he has seen how corrupt and dirty life in India. On 18th December 1961 early in the morning when we saw the Indian military convoy with Tanks and Jeeps moving on to our roads going to Aguada, he was very dejected and remarked saying thus “Goem atam moula raj zatelem” (ani xekim zalench). With that statement he went to sleep, very deep sleep and got up only on the next day. So much he was dejected to see Goa going into the hands of Indian Mowalis. He was anti-Portuguese because he noticed how Portuguese Pakles were doing discriminations against Goans who were working along with him as technicians in the Workshop at Panjim. But he was never a pro-India but surely pro-independent Goa.

When I was young my grandmother used to tell me stories in the form of folktales which were told to her by her grandmother, before going to sleep and in one such story she said thus “zannai mure baba, vhoddlea khaddache bhaile chor Goyam etelet amchem Goem chorpak, ami tenkam daumddaunk zai”. And when I saw on the road in the military Jeeps on 18th early in the morning there were Sardarjis only visible who looked to me like Devils as I was seeing such fearful men for the first time in my life.

What the predictions of my brother and Granny? She died in 1959 while my brother is by the grace of God alive and very much sad to see the state of affairs of our once golden Goa.

To be concluded......

MOCKERY OF JUSTICE IN GOA.

ABOVE THE LAW

By Aires Rodrigues

How wonderful! Our compassionate justice has released Mickky Pacheco on probation trusting him to behave well and reform himself despite it being known that he is no novice to Crime.

Though convicted for having assaulted Electricity department Junior Engineer Kapil Natekar on July 15, 2006, his public promise on 12.12.12 that he will never repeat his past mistakes may have been heard while giving him the benefit of the Probation of Offenders Act.

The judgment releasing Mickky Pacheco on probation does not seem to be in accordance with law. It would have to be tested before the High Court to see whether the Law infact took its own course.

It would be a very sad day for Goa’s Judiciary if the High Court holds that it was a grey if not a very black day for the Justice delivery system. Will this be a signal of confirmation of the feeling that the high and mighty can commit crime and get away with it, with a flea-bite sentence, if not, be released on probation, being forgiven like a school kid?

With Mickky Pacheco eagerly longing for that red beacon it would now have to be also seen whether Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar bestows on him that Cabinet status also on Probation.

ASHTON SHINES FOR DOM BOSCO & JULIO FOR MAROONS IN UG TOURNEY.

Goa Maroons and Dons Bosco emerge as winners

The chill of winter had arrived yet the sun shone brightly indicating perfect match conditions for the first match of the return of the 37th Annual United Goan Centre football tournament. The tournament was held at the Ministry of Health Ground in Shuwaikh in association with the Kuwait Indian Football Federation on 7th Nov 2012.

The First match was between the Goa Maroons Football Club and Santos United Football Club, which could have been anyone’s game as both sides held their own and remained at nil up until the half-time. After the halftime ended, the Goa Maroons gained more control and possession of the ball, as Gabriel Fernandes scored the first goal, giving the Maroons something to cheer about and the Santos United, something to worry about.

The second half marked a bit of change in the line-up as veteran players Jamie Figuera and Julio Cardozo came on as substitutes. Following Gabriel’s lead, Joe Gomes, Steven Rodrigues and Julio Cardozo scored one goal each, further solidifying the 4-0 victory of the Goa Maroons.

The match was officiated by Mubarak with Sarto and Sharma on the lines.

The Second match between Don Bosco’s Oratory and the Navelim Youth Center didn’t make spectators wait for long as the first goal was scored within the first ten minutes by Arif Shaik of Navelim. The Don Bosco boys however didn’t seem to be feeling the pressure as they continued their game and soon returned the favor with an equalizer when Godfrey Aguiar scored their first goal bringing the first half to a 1-1 close.

The Second-Half saw Don Bosco score another goal by Ashton Fernandes putting them in the lead with an added goal advantage. But it appeared that one goal wouldn’t be all that Ashton Fernandes delivered as he emerged minutes later with yet another goal, sealing their fate for a sure win as the game ended 3-0 in Don Bosco’s favour. The Match was officiated by Julio with Sarto and Mubarak as linesmen.

Schedule for Friday 14th December Soccer games are as follows;

First match between AVC football Club and United Friends Club is at 6:45 am.

Second match between the Kerala Challengers and Skynet Raiders is at 8:30 am.

And third match at 10:15 am between the YRC rising Stars and the Curtorcares United.
