TIATRO "SOUNSARANT BOREM NAUM DOVOR"
Seen above Antonette de Maina singing opening song.
On
Saturday, 5th of this month I saw the Tiatro “SOUNSARANT BOREM NAUM
DOVOR”, written and directed by Constantino Crasto, at Kala Academy A/C Hall, in Panjim, starting at
7.45 PM. Though this Tiatro was thinly attended by the audience yet performance
wise it was a good presentation in which every artiste performed his or her
role well. However the superlative
credit goes to Roma for doing superlative role in all respects as a destructive
woman trying to destroy her neighbours
peace. She also excelled in her dress
code wearing low grade Sarees at home befitting her low standard in the Play.
Baba Cielo sings his solo.
The
other person deserving much credit was Antush playing the role of a neighbour
as an enemy of Roma. Besides, Pascoal
Rodrigues and Antonette de Maina also played their roles well. Ignatius de
Xelvonn as usual played the role of a corrupt politician very well and
comedians Selvy and Betty excelled in comedy role.
Benny de Aldona & Saby de Divar.
The
story of the Play revolves around two neighbouring families who on the wrong
advices of their local MLA goes for destructive ideas against each other of
course to the cheap pleasure of the local Sarpanch and local MLA. In this episode the director clearly
indicates how the local corrupt politicians are using the people to further
their own selfish interest. I think this Tiatro is a must see for the people to
gain some better knowledge of our politicians’ selfishness
One scene where Antonette-Pascoal-Roma-Antush are seen.
The
Side Show songs were good but the special mention must go to Pascoal Rodrigues’
solo, Benny de Aldona’s solo, Saby de Divar’s solo, duo rendered by Rosario de
Benaulim with Ignatius de Xelvon and Baba Cielo’s solo
Pascoal Rodrigues sings solo.
Since it is going to be staged once again in Panjim, it is
worth seeing.
Congratulations to writer & director Constantino Crasto
and his troupe.
