This is in reference to the DVD on Goan movement in Goa in support of Kuwait’s liberation, during the invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. I feel I am fortunate to watch this DVD which creates lot of nostalgic feelings about Kuwait Goans and their efforts to highlight the plight of invaded Kuwait and its citizens. As a matter of fact every Kuwait Goan must watch this DVD which is like gold. So also every true Kuwait Goan must possess a copy of this DVD. It is the memory of greatness of Kuwait Goans to show their gratitude to Kuwait from where they earned their daily bread.
Surprisingly and regretfully most of the so
called prominent Goans are not seen participating in this Meetings and Rallies. They are ungrateful to Kuwait
that made them what they are. If it is
not for Kuwait they are nothing in life. They are like Worms in Kuwait Goan
society only existing in this World. All
the Goan millionaires instead of participating in this movement, it looks they were hiding
under the petticoats of their mistresses.
Overwhelming majority of the Goans involved in
Kuwait Goan foot-ball and Church activities have not participated in this
movement, may be they were busy drinking Feni because best of rascals among Kuwait
Goans are coming from this circle. Because of Kuwait they got prominence in life in
their respective circles but when their turn came to support Kuwait they showed
their ingratitude to Kuwait. They are all ungrateful Goans coming from very low
background in Goa lacking great heartedness. All of them are cheap Goans doing
cheap activities to gain very cheap publicity.
I am told nowhere in India
organised such an excellent movement in support of Kuwait as it was done by Kuwait Goans in Goa. This is the credit for Kuwait Goans. One sees in this DVD many of the old faces of
Goans who are no more in Kuwait nor in Goa, deaths have snatched them from our circle.
Every Kuwait Goan should be proud of this
movement kept alive thru this DVD. It is good to show this DVD to the Kuwaitis
to know what Goans have done for them when their country was seized by Saddam Hussein.

Veronica Fernandes not only to initiate this movement but also to produce this
DVD with excellent commentary in English spending money from his own
pocket. According to one source 300
copies of this DVD are already distributed and still are going to be
distributed, Free of Charge. Let every Kuwait Goan
possess one copy each as a Souvenir. If one is true Kuwait Goan, one will be
proud of this movement and this DVD. Let those who call us Hindi Muskin see this DVD what Goans have done for Kuwait cause.
I am also given to understand that many Kuwaitis
after seeing this DVD are become good friends of Goans. Thru this movement of
Goans and through this DVD circulated among Kuwaitis, Goans in Kuwait have
gained lot of goodwill which surely will create a good effect on Goans in
Kuwait.
