GOA CHIEF MINISTER DIGAMBAR KAMAT’S FALL
Finally as expected has happened. The moment Churchill Alemao happened to be out of power I realized in the beginning itself that Digambar led Congress Government of Goa would not last. Churchill would not accept anything short of Cabinet berth for him, leave aside Chief Ministership.
There was lot of political stability in Goa during the last 5 years because he was in Delhi as MP where his capacity to play political games was very dismal. He is like a Lion. When Lion once tastes the blood then the same Lion will never lose its taste, he will go for it again and again and live on it. This is what Churchill’s attitude. His failure in the recently concluded election was the victory for only two members of his Save Goa Front. With these two Seats he could not play his game. Hence, thru defection the destabilizing movement of the Digambar Ministry by Churchill even by conniving with the enemies of Goa and Goans. Those who feel he has initiated the defections for the love of Goa, Goans and Konkani then they are all mistaken. Churchill got no love for Goa, Goans and Konkani. It is only a political move to gain political milage and to fool the innocent Goans and innocent Konkani lovers of Romi Konkani.
I am sure everyone will remember how he piloted the downfall of Rane Government in 1990 and formed the PDF Government first led by him and then by Dr. Barbosa, with the merger of him and his Congress defectors with MGP of Ramakant Khalap. By merging with MGP the party that hated Konkani, the party that worked to introduce Marathi in Goa, the party that worked against the interest of Goa and Goans, the party that came into being to eradicate the identity of Goa, the party that came into being to liquidate Christianity and Christians from Goa, Churchill had done a big blunder which entitles him to be the number one enemy of Goa, Goans and Christians. By initiating the formation of PDF Government Churchill proved that for his personal gains he will do anything.
Earlier he was a die hard Goan and die hard Konknnivadi but by joining hands with MGP to form PDF Government he proved all his earlier excellent credentials in support of Goa for Goans and Konkani as null and void. The real Goa and Konkani lovers lost their love, affection and interest in Churchill because by initiating PDF Government Churchill became a commercial man who cared no more for Goa and Goans though he said and still says that his love for Goa and Goans is intact. But by joining hands with MGP no Goan can call himself a Goa lover, a Konkani lover Goan and secular because MGP like BJP is not a secular party. A secular man will never associate with communal party like MGP or BJP. In Goa there were innumerable communally inflated issues in which Churchill also aligned with those issues but never helped secular Goans to diffuse them.
Till the formation of PDF Government the situation in Goa was much better but with the inception of PDF Government, Government services and jobs were put on sale for the highest bidders because money in crores of rupees was required to pay as bribes to the defectors. Hence, taxing of the people with lakhs of rupees for getting jobs in the Government sectors, taxing of Goans with lakhs of rupees for the Government services. It was thru this crime that men like Mauwin Godinho amassed illegal wealth by being in the PDF ministry. Otherwise Mauwin Godinho inspite of having close rapport with Rajiv Gandhi joining Churchill brigade in PDF was not an easy task. The base that was put by Churchill initiated PDF Government in robbing the common Goan of his previlleges was later on carried forward and its results are now very much visible where anything to get in Government sectors one has to pay in lakhs as bribes.
Churchill has mastered this art of amassing wealth thru this process and he is very hungry for power and honour because he was denied of these attributes in his earlier family life. Most of the people who imitated the colonialists were once neglected, rejected and denied of these privileges during colonial time. Hence, their psychological disorder leading to their greed for power and money. Churchill has led the people of Goa down, Churchill has led Goa down. Churchill was more responsible for introduction of more corruption in Goa at all levels. Churchill was responsible for sucking the blood of poor Goans in Goa. Due to the precedent created by PDF Government of paying bribes in lakhs of rupees for Government jobs and services Goans especially poor Goans are become victims. Which poor Goan can afford to pay lakhs in bribes to get a job in the RTO, Customs, PWD and other departments? Can a poor Goan afford these bribes? Who created this bribe paying precedent in hefty sums? Was it not Churchill initiated PDF Goa Government?
Now, on the same principle of PDF Government formation, Churchill with the help of his other like minded colleagues like Babush and Parrikar has destabilized the Digambar Kamat’s Government to form an alternative Government. I am sure until he succeeds in forming the new Government Churchill will never have peace. Knowing his nature, Congress stalwarts and specially Margaret Alwa should have advised Center to take appropriate measures. Mummy Victoria should have been allotted a portfolio and kept her happy. By denying any portfolio to her Margaret Alwa made a big blunder. But Alwa cares for what? She is not interested in the well being of Goa and Goans. She was rejected by her own people in Mangalore because of her misdeeds. Hence, how she would do good for Goa and Goans? And by the way, Centre also is not much interested in Goa because compared to other states Goa is a small pimple, Goa can only be an irritant for Center and nothing else.
Even if Goa goes to dogs, Centre and Congress High Command will not care. It was a big mistake for Congress to allow family members in their fold. Dawlikar brothers, Churchill brothers and father and son duo of Ranes have brought about downfall of Digambar Kamat’s Minstry. Goan politics is become family affairs and when they have their option these family members join together for their personal gains forgetting about their party affiliations. When time comes these family members show affiliations to their blood and not to the parties they represent. After all blood is ticker, no??
Now when the newly formed Government comes into power, under Parrikar Ministry, initiated by Churchill Alemao the sale of Government jobs and other Government services will go for sale for the highest bidders in which case poor Goans will not be able to bid for Government jobs. Even Parrikar as CM will not be able to control this sale of jobs. According to reports coming the defectors are promised crores of rupees. From where these crores will come? Only thru bribes and illegally taxing the poor Goans for every job that Government renders.Babush Monsurate will again go for his earlier initiative of introducing the old Regional Plan with little modification and to fight against him we Goans again will have to come on to the streets again. This means we genuine Goans and genuine Goa lover Goans will never have peace. These Goa Montris to satisfy their lust for money and power will always keep us on the streets in a show of public demonstrations. Parrikar a very sirud “Hindu Bamon” will openly tone down his tirade against Christians but surely in a disguised manner he will cut one more Christian holiday and produce one more VCD further disgracing Christians.
In a pure “Bamon policy” Parrikar will remove his hair from his head and gently and softly cut the necks of every Christian who will never know the long hair of his is cutting their necks. It is a slow killing process in which Bamon got better expertise. He thru his ingenuity will fill the Government jobs with all his BJP cadres and thus safronise Goa. Churchill Alemao will be responsible for the re-emergence of Safron Government in Goa under Parrikar.
One rascal from Curtorim is now sleeping at home after introducing Safron Government in Goa. While Parrikar is safronising Goa no Christian Montri in his Cabinet will oppose him because they will be occupied in grabbing more power and more money. The rest go to hell for them. These rascals will even sell their wives and daughters for the sake of political power and money. Who will be the victims of Parrikar led Government of Goa initiated by Churchill Alemao? Only Goa, Goans and Christians. To liquidate us from our own Goa and convert us as strangers in our own land we don’t require Portuguese, British, Maharastians or any other non-Goan Indian. Our destruction is brought about by our own bastardized Goan politicians. Blame not others but blame our own politicians.
Many of our Romi Konkani lovers will believe that the chances of getting Romi Konkani elevated on par with Nagri are bright but according to me it will never happen under the new Government called “Goa Democratic Alliance” initiated by Churchill with the help of Babush and others because in this Government there will be worst enemies of Romi Konkani namely MGP and BJP. Hence, the chances of Romi Konkani getting its due share is NIL. Wilson Mazatello and other Tiatrists should take note of this. We Kuwaitkars have already realized this. The other factor is Mopa Airport. This issue will also not be sorted out as per the earlier stand of Churchill because in the next “GDA” Government of Parrikar there are also the worst supporters of Mopa Airport. In such a situation will Churchill challenge his colleagues or he will succumb and become party to Mopa Airport?
Meantime, all the voters who elected Churchill Alemao and his colleague in SGF Reginaldo in Navelim and Curtorim respectively must question their MLA’s prerogative of aligning with anti-SGF parties like BJP & MGP. Both these MLA’s were elected by their voters not to align with anti-Goan and anti-Christian parties.
It is time now for the thousands of voters from Navelim and Curtorim to stop their MLA’s from taking their voters for granted. It is time for the voters of these constituencies to be assertive of their rights, they should not allow their MLA’s to take them for a ride. The constituents of these constituencies must call public meetings and if necessary Church leaders in these constituencies must awaken the people to oppose their MLA’s from joining MGP and BJP elements. Also, the thousands of voters from Cuncolim constituency must rise and stop their MLA Joaquim Alemao from leaving Congress. He was not elected by a handful of party stalwarts on whose advice he cannot take thousands of innocent voters for a ride, he was elected by thousands of voters whose opinion should not be ignored. The people from Cuncolim in Kuwait must also raise their voice in unison against Joaquim deserting Congress and joining BJP and MGP elements, both BJP and MGP are antiGoans, antiKonkani. Once in the past AVC has allowed their MLA Farrel Furtado to disgrace Goan politics by joining MGP elements in the formation of PDF Government. Will they again allow their MLA to defect? Was it not enough Farrel Furtado has done enough damage to AVC pride and to Goan politics? And what about Kuwait Navelkar and Curtorkars? Will they accept their MLA’s joining anti-Goan BJP and MGP?
Allowing Churchill to align with anti-Christian MGP and BJP means disgracing the greatness of the great Goan leader Francis Luis Gomes from Navelim. Those Navelkars who believe in the greatness of Dr. Francis Luis Gomes must raise their voices in unison wherever they may be, any part of the World, against Churchill aligning with communal parties. Churchill, his brother Joaquim and Reginald were all elected by the masses and these masses must rise in revolt against their MLA’s for aligning with communal parties. Navelkarani – Curtorkarani – Cuncolkarani, show now your real power to oppose the might of defectors. Now and now alone will be the test of your real Goykarponn and real Secularponn.
