PORTUGUEZ SALAZAR'S RAJ AGAIN IN GOA?

Banner of Human Rights Defenders

Portuguez Raj of Salazar’s dadagiri was officially  over in Goa in December 1961 but its traces are still found in Curchorem at the Police Station there.  The notorious Monster Portuguez Police Officer Agente Monteiro was no doubt deported from Goa much before December 1961 yet it looks his products like his illegitimate children and grand children are still existing in Goa. The way Curchorem Traffic Police Inspector Edwin Colaco and his 2 constables acted with young boy Fahim Sayyad on 1st of this month near Curchorem Market first and later on at the Police Station,  it looked they are the replicas and reincarnation of Agente Monteiro who used to assault innocent Goans even on the roads followed by the worst beatings at Police stations on false allegations.   In this way he even killed innocent Goans with false allegations.
One of the Posters saying:Suspend the erring Policeman

According to my information, Fahim Sayyad was stopped by the said Police Inspector and his 2 constables who were in their Jeep, in order to check Sayyad’s Bike documents.  When they found all documents are ok, they then demanded Rs. 100/- as bribe to allow him to go.  When Sayyad refused, the notorious PI started to assault Sayyad till he was put into their Police Jeep.  Then they drove him to the Police Station where they again assaulted him even by kicking him and banging his head to the wall till his body got bruises  and shirt  torn.  Then in the evening Sayyad’s sister came and pleaded with the Police to release her brother from whom even his Mobile was confiscated by the Goan Agente Monteiro.  Then Sayyad was sent for medical check-up on the insistence of his sister,  where the doctor certified that Sayyad was heavily assaulted  leading to the injuries to his eyes, ears and other body parts including his shoulders.

Advino addressing the Media personnel

Moreover, the same Policemen have even  confiscated Sayyad’s  Bike which they are using for their Police work.
Meantime, Fahim Sayyad  submitted on this brutality  the Memos to the Director General of Police, DIG Panaji and Suptd. of Police, South Goa, describing the whole incident and requesting them to arrest and suspend the culprit Policemen for misusing their power like Agente Monteiro during Portuguese regime in Goa.
Victim of uncivilized & unchristian, Christian Policeman's barbarity

When Portuguese government of Goa came to know how Agente Monteiro was misusing his power to harass the innocent Goans, he was arrested and immediately deported to Portugal. Though the Portuguese Government of Goa was following the dictatorial laws yet it still gave justice to the common men of Goa by punishing its own personnel Agente Monteiro. Can we expect such a swift justice to the innocent Fahim Sayyad?  If not, then is it better to remain under Portuguese dictatorship and get life security which is of paramount importance?  In this so called liberated Goa there is no respect for rules and laws and Policemen are the worst culprits. For this reason I say to Hell With the Liberation of Goa.
Seen the torn shirt of the victim due to beating

Before leaving Goa, Agente Monteiro remarked saying “Even after my deportation, my presence in Goa will always remain alive thru my seeds sown in Goa illegitimately and they will act exactly like me to prove that they are my products”.  How prophetic words are these!!  From here, can one deduce the conclusion that all the Policemen taking law into their own hands are the products of Agente Monteiro’s seeds? Action proves.

Seen Policemen & attendees for Dharna

In connection with this incident, on 27th of this month, from 3.00 PM to 4.30 PM, opposite Captain of Ports Jetty, Panaji, to condemn this incident of assaulting Fahim Sayyad by  PI (Traffic Dept.) Edwin Colaco and his 2 Constables, an awareness progamme (Dharna) was held and the same was attended by a huge crowd as seen in the photographs.  A posse of Panjim Policemen was also attended to control any untoward incident. This Dharna was conducted peacefully by NGO “HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS” under the leadership of its president Advino Fernandes.  Speaking there to the gathering and media personnel, Fernandes gave an ultimatum to the concerned authorities to arrest and suspend PI Edwin Colaco and his 2 Constables immediately or else they may even take the law into their hands the way the culprit Policemen taken.
Advino seen addressing the gathering. To his left is victim boy.

PI Edwin Colaco is a practicing Christian regularly going for the Church Service. What type of Christian is he?  To act like a Goonda? A Lucifer in the garb of a Police Officer?  It is a shame on him to be a Christian when he acts like a Devil. We don’t want such Christians in our midst.

TIATRO "PAI" BY COMEDIAN AGOSTINHO.

Tiatro "PAI".

Seen above singing Opening Solo.

I can easily and rightly say with full conviction that the Tiatro “PAI” written and directed by the well known comedian Agostinho Temudo is the best  among all the Tiatros I saw during this year.  I had an opportunity to  see this Tiatro on 26th of this month at Pai Tiatrist Hall, Margao, starting at 3.30.

A scene where Pradeep is at extreme left & Joe is next to him

All the artistes performed well but the greatest credit should go to Pradeep who played an excellently role of  “Pai”.  His terminology, clarity, body moves and gestures were perfect befitting his role. His acting was very natural.  He is the big asset to Konkani Stage.
One of the scenes.

Dola also performed very well and with her attractive physical appearance she brought an extra colour to her role. Juzu and Joe played their roles well and there was good clarity in whatever they spoke from the Stage.
All the three comedians Agostinho, Selvy and Jannet kept the audience on very jovial mood.
Seen above singing his solo is Kuwait based Laurente Pereira

Though everything was best in this Tiatro except the shouting and screaming which is not in tune with the Tiatro system.  To listen to such screaming is horrible, it is not artistic and it is not palatable to the ears either.  The beauty and grandeur of the Tiatro is very much mutilated when such screaming is done.  Comedian Agostinho must try to do something about it to bring a change in himself first. As it is thru this Tiatro he proved how high level he reached as a writer and director. To write and direct such a script is not a joke, only a matured writer and director can write such scripts and comedian Agostinho is one of them.  I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Seen above are Comedian Agostinho & Juzu

In the Side Show songs, Benny de Aldona, Lawry Travasso, Marcus Vaz, Francis de Tuem, Comedian Selvy and coming all the way from Kuwait Lawrente Pereira rendered their solos well while the duet of Comedian Jannet with her husband was well accepted by the audience.
Seen at extreme left is Dola.

VALENCIA - THE UPCOMING TIATRIST.

The village Calangute in Bardez, Goa is a touristic place known all over India and elsewhere in the world too. Its scenic beauty is focused on its beautiful beach with golden sand.  However, Calangute is also known for its famous Konkani Stage Artistes, singers and Mandoists as well. This village is the home of well known Tiatrists like the late Roglo (a member of Alexinho de Candolim’s troupe), the late Souza Giao (also a Mandoist), the late Emidio (composer of beautiful songs), Peter Gomes (a member of Young Stars of Goa) and the late Antonette de Calangute who was a renowned artiste and who made the name of Calangute more known.
Valencia seen in Blue dress

Recently I came across yet another young and youthful female Tiatrist from Calangute, Tivai Vaddo, acting in the Tiatro of Prince Jacob, “Sukhant Toxem Dhukant”.  I spotted her at Kala Academy Panjim while performing her role in that Tiatro so nicely at this so young age. Her grand father being a stage artiste was known then as Charlie Chaplin.

A very humble and simple young girl without any pride and academically qualified as well, Stage success and fame did not go to her head, like a Skylark she is flying higher and higher on Konkani Stage but never losing her touch to this earth where she was born and grew up.

 Valencia seen singing a solo

In 2010 she first time stepped on to the Konkani Stage  in her own village in a Tiatro staged by the local director Bernardo Silveira.  Then immediately in the same year she acted for Tiatro “Inam” by Joe de Majorda at Kala Academy Tiatro Festival, in Panjim where she was awarded a Merit Certificate for the wonderful role she played. Here an ace director C. D’Silva saw her talent and inducted her into his Tiatro “Xikxha” which was staged all over Goa where she got wider Stage exposure.  Again C. D’Silva inducted her In his new Tiatro “Omtea Kollxear Udok” which was an instant success and were she played a very good role.

 Valencia seen with a Memento

The other directors whom she acted were Roy de Chinchinnim for his Tiatro “Bhogos Tankam”, Rodson from Benaulim for his Tiatro “Tum Asli Zalear”, Cruz Pinto for his Tiatro “Devan Sandunkna”, Saby de Majorda for his Tiatro “Faleancho Dis”, Pascoal Rodrigues for his Tiatro “Noxib Viktem Mevona” and Prince Jacob for his Tiatro “Amchem Konn Chinta” .

When questioned, she replied saying that she loves doing Tragedy roles and also she said she loves singing.  Her hit songs were “Ostorecher Bolatkar” and “Dekhichi Boddi”.
Valencia seen receiving a Memento from Jerry Cal at Calangute

Besides Tiatro, she also rendered songs for VCD, namely “Mogachem Farikponn” of Simon. As a Tiatrist and being upcoming one, she did not travel abroad but created impact of her Tiatro prowess in Goa and in Bombay.

According to her assessment, C. D’Silva and Prince Jacob are the best directors.

Though she succeeded in reaching to the upper level of Tiatro yet she remembers with much gratitude to Martha D’Souza, Diana Fernandes, Annie Quadros and her local “Ghaum-Bhau” namely Salvador, Adolph,  Pascoal and Domnick for giving her a push to reach where she is now. And not forgetting her mother, father, brother and sister.

Her wish is to participate in Tiatro as long as she can.
Recently in this month at Calangute, she was felicitated by Jerry Call on behalf of the villagers in appreciation of her Konkani Stage talent.
I wish her all the best on Konkani Stage.

TIATRO "ZALL" BY JOHN D'SILVA. DEFECTIVE MIKE SYSTEM.

Candolim village was known to produce many Tiatrists of great stature.  The late Alexinho de Candolim, Young Menezes and Effie Fernandes were from this village. In this village lot of Tiatros were staged from the local Tiatrists as well as from outside.  During the early days all the best directors staged their Tiatros in Candolim when there was no Mike System for those Tiatros.  The first time Mike system used was in 1958/1959 by C. Alvares for his Tiatro AXEA, the entire cast with the exception of Jacinto Vaz came from Bombay.

Socorro de St. Cruz sings duet with his partner

My father was involved in organizing this Tiatro and the first thing Alvares enquired with my father was the efficiency of the Mike.  When he got okay answer from my father, 2 hours before the start of the Tiatro he personally came to test and check the Mike system.  This showed as a director Alvares’ concern for his direction and efficiency and because of this character he became the topmost director of Konkani Stage.  May his soul rest in peace.

One scene where comedians Neto & Anita seen

On 16th of this month at Mapusa Hanuman Theatre, at 3.30 PM I attended the Tiatro “ZALL” written and directed by the well-known comedian John D’Silva.  My Seat was on Row  5  but regretfully because of ugly Mike System most of the proceedings from the Stage were not audible with clarity. Then I realized that installation of Mike System was faulty and the victims of this faulty Mike system were  the people occupying seats on the first 10 Rows.

Another scene where comedians Nato & John D'Silva seen

I understand that every director is aware of this problem but none bothers to bring it to the notice of the Hall management or do something to rectify this fault for the benefit of the audience who deserve fair treatment because they spend money to buy tickets to see the Tiatros.  If any director of the caliber of C. Alvares was there he would surely do something otherwise he would shamelessly not stage his Tiatro in this Hall.

Seen above centre Anita, to the left is John D'Silva

After the Tiatro I came to know that many persons wanted to come to watch this Tiatro but they did not because of the faulty Mike system existing at Hanuman Theatre Mapusa.

Since the Mike system was faulty, I could not follow the story properly neither the songs.  In view of this on the basis of whatever little I listened I cannot give my correct assessment.  Hence, I confine only to a few photos.

REMEMBERING THE GREAT CANDOLIM PE.VIGAR - THE LATE PE. NICHOLAU NORONHA.

Today, 17th November  is the birthday of the late Pe. Nicholau Noronha who was the Pe. Vigar of Candolim Church. He was an exceptionally gifted priest born and brought up in Margao and not in the land of “Khapri” to behave with the parishioners like a Khapri.  His term in Candolim was a golden period for the locals with whom irrespective of their religions he had very good rapport.  He treated the parishioners with respect and dignity without barking like a dog from the Altar against the parishioners by even cursing them like a Lucifer.  Personal matters of parishioners he never raised in his sermons but instead if found wrong he called the wrong doer privately in his room and discussed the relevant matter for satisfactory result.  He never liked to insult any parishioner from the Altar and his sermons were very philosophical and full of matter besides being precise.  He desliked  wasting precious time of the parishioners by unnecessarily harping on one topic a hundred times. He was a very decent priest coming from genuinely decent family background having a very high intellectual capacity.

It was somewhere in 1954 he was appointed as Pe. Vigar of Candolim Church from Rachol Seminary where he was a Professor of Philosophy and immediately he took up the job of building the left side Church Tower which was collapsed on 18th August 1948. To rebuild this Tower he did not tax the local parishioners but by using his intelligence with the help of undeclared  sources he got  the work completed nicely.  Today if one sees that Tower again it is because of his tireless efforts. The collapse of the Tower and the history of this Church was beautifully decribed by the late Alexinho de Candolim in his most memorable song “Torre Moddon Ekan Ek Organvancho Churo Zaun Gelo”.

Then he planned the construction of School building in early sixties but  to his dismay the Bishop of Goa transferred him from Candolim leaving this herculean task of building the School into the hands of Pe. Alvito Vaz who was his Pe. Cur.

During his tenure in Candolim, the parishioners were very happy.  He was not creating nuisance for the parishioners by acting like a Hitler.  During his time to avoid his arrogance and pride, no parishioner was going to the neighbouring village Churces.

He was like a fatherly figure to the villagers. One day one lady in our Vaddo fell very sick and everyone thought she is going to die.  Pe. Vigar Noronha was called to give the last sacrament to the sick lady.  When Pe. Vigar saw the lady he asked  “why she was not shown to the doctor?”  When he came to know that it was because of money problem,  he answered saying “why didn’t you tell me? I am not only your Pe. Vigar looking after your spiritual need but I am  also your father looking after your material need as well”.  Then he hired a Taxi, took the sick lady to Panjim hospital, all the expenses borne by him and within few days the sick lady returned home cured.

In my village one man fathered an illegitimate male child and refused to marry the mother of that child even when the child attained the age of 6. When Pe. Vigar Noronha got this news, he called the father, warned him of dire consequences if he refuses to marry  the girl who borne him the male child. Though reluctant yet finally he succumbed to the warning of Pe. Vigar, got married and had a nice married life.

There was also one unmarried man in our village who was everyday visiting his concubine who was a widow.  One day Pe. Noronha stopped him and warned him to change his sinful life otherwise he said he will not allow his burial in the Cemetry. The man then changed his life.

In 1959 one man in our village at Orda committed a suicide by hanging himself. When the time came for his funeral, Pe. Noronha refused him the burial in the Cemetry and thus he was buried outside the Cemetry.

His motto as a Christian leader was to inculcate spiritual discipline into the parishioners. Because of him the parishioners were leading a good moral life as not seen even today. He disliked immorality and would not accept any donation from a person known to live an immoral and sinful life.  Any person living an immoral life he would not allow that person to do Church service.  He would not allow “Pamprelam” in the Church service neither male rascals. If he was alive now he would never allow those with questionable character to distribute the Holy Communion.  Allowing any Altu-Faltu person to distribute holy communion is become a big joke because many of the Pe.Vigars are themselves become big  jokers. Some Pe. Vigars even selected their concubines for this job.

Pe. Noronha was a very good preacher and as such he was known almost everywhere.  He was not a casteist even though a high caste priest but never believed in caste system which he said goes against the teachings of Christ. He disliked the casteism going on in the Church and preached a lot against casteism.  He said once that those priests practicing casteism have got no right to wear the priestly robes and preach virtues to the faithful, such priests are traitors, he opined.

To show their pleasure the local Brahmins when he joined Candolim Church organized a lavish reception for him with a gift of a big Radio Set. But true to his genius of intellectual capacity he told them openly thus “you should not have spent so much of money for this reception.  I don’t need it, neither the gift of Radio Set; I already have one with me.  Instead you should have spent this whole amount for feeding the local poor some of whom may be starving”. Even for Sunday’s collection he was not very particular.  He did not have the craze for money because as he said once “craze for money and Satanic acts go together”.

He was very choosy in accepting donations for the Church activities.  Once one lady doing domestic job with meagre wages went to him with a donation of one hundred rupees (in Portuguese Escudos).  When he asked her from where she brought this money which was a big amount at that time, replied she, “it is my saving from many years”.  Then Pe. Vigar replied saying “you are a poor domestic woman and you must have made immense sacrifices to save this amount for your personal need.  Please keep this money for you only for any emergency need.  God will reward you for this kind gesture but your needs are more than the need of the Church which will never end”.  To this I add, Church needs will remain unending when the Pe. Vigars are corrupt like politicians.

He also said that priests must never accept donations from those people who collect money thru illicit means and if he was alive he would surely refuse donations given to the Church by the current corrupt rascal politicians who accumulated wealth thru bribe and extortion which are sinful methods of accumulating wealth.

Today I write this piece to highlight the greatness of this Pe. Vigar of whose type we are not getting anymore anywhere in Goa leave aside in Candolim and for this reason Catholics are suffering from moral degradation because many of our Church leaders are morally corrupt. If our Church leaders are corrupt then naturally there will be corrupt faithful.  Let us pray for them. Amen.

May the soul of our late Pe. Vigar Rest In Pepace.

NO FOLLOW-UP FOR CANDOLIM RALLY.

Exactly a month back in Candolim a public Rally followed by a public meeting (photo shown below) was organized by the Candoikars under the leadership of a few youth from Candolim and the same was supported by Mr. Prakash of Pilerne Forum and Mr. Edwin of NGO from Verem.  This was done to raise the voice of the Candolim people against the exorbitant rate of daily wages the migrant labourers are charging to the locals. During the public meeting addressed by the local youth leaders and also by Prakash and Edwin it looked that this move will move ahead till government succumbs to the demand of the locals.  But No, the government has ignored the voice of the Candolim people and this movement makers who threatened the government has now turned into pale cockroaches thereby showing how cowards and cheats they are.  They have cheated the Candolim locals of the confidence they had in their leaders.

In this connection this writer has contacted Mr. Prakash to ascertain his views on this subject but he refused to accept his responsibility on what he spoke(as indicated down below) adding that he spoke as indicated on the assurance of Candolim leaders that they will not keep silent until the results are acquired. Then Prakash said he was surprised not to get response from the Candolim leaders to his calls making the whole scenario very bizarre. The ten days deadline given to the government to right the wrong was already over but nothing seems to be moving further.

According to one source, the sudden full stop by the Candolim leaders who initiated this movement from moving ahead was due to the pressure brought-in by the top local political leaders who want to  close this movement in its infancy only. Another story is also making a round saying that money power was also used to purchase the local initiators of this movement.  When this writer brought this news of money power to the notice of Mr. Prakash, he too agreed to have heard this story circulating around.  On further questioning the authenticity of this story, Prakash said “anything is possible and more so because the Candolim initiators of this movement abruptly gone into hibernation.

There is a saying in Konkani which says “Lokhnacho Vavr Undrak Konne Sangla?”.  The Candolim youth leaders who came forward to initiate this movement acted like immature kids.  To organize any movement is not a joke.  Any Ladru – Pedru without firm roots on the ground cannot make a movement. This is not a game of Marbles playing, instead to do any movement you require solid “Marbles” in your Pants.

It is hoped now that all those who were on the forefront to organize this movement will be forthcoming with their response.

In their speeches, all the speakers especially Edwin and Prakash demanded from Goa government and especially from the Labour Minister for whom the organizers have already submitted their memorandum of demands, to streamline the daily wages of the migrant labourers with the instruction to follow these wages very rigidly. They have also requested the government to display the Wage Rates at the strategic locations not only in Candolim but also all over Goa.  Mr. Prakash in his hard hitting speech demanded action from the government on this issue within the next 10 days failing which this campaign will be spread all over Goa.

THE LATE JOHN FELIX D'SOUZA.

It is with deep grief and sorrow I pen down these  lines on the sad demise of my friend, mentor, guide and strong supporter of Goan movements in Kuwait, Mr. John Felix D’Sousa from Anjuna, Bardez, at his home place on 9th of this month. He was interred on the next day at Anjuna Cemetry in the presence of lot of his friends, relatives and well-wishers, some of them Kuwait returnees.
After completing his schooling at St. Joseph’s High School, Arpora  – the first EnglIsh High School of Goa, with distinction in Latin, he took up the teaching job for a short stint and later on went to Kuwait with Portuguese Passport since Goa then was under the possession of Portugal, hence all Goans then were considered as Portuguese citizens.

After coming to Kuwait he took up a job at Albert Abela an international organization with its headquarter at Beirut, as an Accountant and rose to the position of Chief Accountant not only of Kuwait Center but also of the entire Middle East Areas.  During his employment in Kuwait, he travelled almost all over the Middle East to oversee the company’s operations and received high marks on the job from his top management based in London.

While in Kuwait he helped many Goans to get jobs not only in his company but even outside.  He was a very charitable man in which capacity he doled financial assistance to many of the needy without making a big propaganda of this good deed.
John Felix D'Souza for our wedding in Kuwait in 1979.

He was very active in social and sporting activities in Kuwait.  When he came to Kuwait in late fifties, he was involved in Cricket and when Goans under United Goans started competitive soccer tournament in Kuwait city in 1979 he not only backed this move but also actively took part by becoming an executive body member of Goan Overseas Association that fielded G.O.A. Maroons soccer team.  In this capacity he helped some of the Maroons players in getting them employment and for some he even gave money from his own pocket.
He had very good command of written and spoken Konkani and English.  He was a free lance journalist in Kuwait writing for the local newspapers as well as for Goan. In the beginning it was under his support and backing I started Konkani movement in Kuwait and he was my backbone for initiating Novem Goem movement under Novem Goem Pratishthan Kuwait Somiti that sent lakhs of Rupees to Goa for Novem Goem Daily.  Later on he strongly supported me in forming Kuwait Konknni Kendr.  He was one of the main persons in the beginning to promote Gulf Goans Hotels Co. and was its founding director in which capacity he worked very hard to help promote this company. About 25 years back he voluntarily retired from his lucrative job in Kuwait and came back to Goa for good.  While in Goa he was offered a responsible position of Financial Director of GGHC which position he relinquished later on,  on health ground.

As a human being, he was a man of superlative character, morally highly upright, socially very decent.  A very good family man, a faithful husband to his faithful wife, a responsible father to his responsible 3 children and  a dignified member of Kuwait Goan community.  In Kuwait I had no other friend like him, he was very close to my heart in good time and also in bad time. In his death I lost a friend of whose type I will never get another because such persons come to this planet only once.  May his soul rest in peace and may the Heavenly Father give courage to his wife and children to bear this colossal loss.

GOA SU-RAJ PARTY CONGRATULATES PARRIKAR.

Goa Su-Raj Party - GSRP  CONGRATULATES  MR.  MANOHAR G. PRABHU PARRIKAR, Ex- Chief Minister of Goa for having been inducted as the fullfledged Minister in the Union Cabinet of India. Goa is certainly  proud of one more of its sons  for gracing  the Union Cabinet, and, he  shall certainly not be the last. The State of Goa plays an important role in the scheme of things for India. As expected and much talked about, if Manohar-bab does get the Defence portfolio, Goa and Goans have cause to rejoice even more.

As Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar-bab has not been able to move the Navy which is occupying Goa's Civilian airport at Dabolim for defence purposes since 1961,  but on the contrary , he has been  instrumental in actively promoting the new airport at Mopa, which was proposed by the erstwhile Congress government, much to the angst of Goans who believe that with the new airport at Mopa, if and when it becomes a reality,  Goa's cherished Dabolim airport will be appropriated by the Navy and lost to Goa forever as the most centrally located Civilian  airport of Goa since 1958. Not only Manohar Parrikar,  but the long line of past Chief Ministers of Goa,  have not only not been able to tell the Navy to move out and get this done and over with  once and for all for lack of courage and a sense of purpose, but have, on the contrary placated the Navy by handing-over the possession of Goa's  Anjediva Island as a gift to the detriment of the general public, with the Navy having stopped the customary pilgrimage worship at the island in practice for centuries, and for which the Navy has agreed in the signing of the M.O.U. of transfer.

As the Union Defence Minister, Manohar-bab now can kill two birds in one shot. One, get the Navy to move to Sea Bird base at Karwar, lock-stock-n-barrel, to declare Dabolim as the sole  international airport of Goa, and two, stop Mopa airport in its track. This will bring endless cheers to Goa and Goans, especially when Goans are presently getting ready to be on the war path to stop the Mopa airport from going any further,  wanting the Navy to move out to clear all hurdles for the development of Dabolim as the fullfledged International airport of Goa.

Charity, it is said, starts at home. If Manohar-bab really loves his Goa, he will, no doubt, put this issue first on his agenda as the illustrious  Goa born Defence Minister of India, and a beloved son of Goa.

PARRICAR AS CM & AS DEFENSE MINISTER.

There is a saying in Konkani, “MAZRAN KEDNA TORI IMSANN SODDLEA?”This is what has happened to BJP now in Goa as far as the appointment of new Chief Minister of Goa is concerned. The way “Mazor Imsann kednanch soddchena” in the same way BJP will never give up communalism, not elevating Deputy CM Francis D’Souza to the post of CM is one concrete example of BJP’s communal philosophy. Because he is the second best in the hierarchy of BJP Legislative group Mr. D’Souza was given the second important position which automatically qualifies him to replace the CM as and when the post of CM becomes vacant. By discarding Mr. D’Souza, once again BJP gave an indication that it is not a secular party otherwise it would support Mr. D’souza a minority community member to the post of CM and thereby silence its every critic who dub BJP as communal. At the time of writing this article at 2.00 pm today, there is no indication that Mr. D’Souza is going to be elevated and as such in all probability he is out of the race.

That in one way Parricar is taken away from Goa is a big blessing because his arrogance has reached to the pedestal.  His language was that of a “Dada” even in the Legislative Assembly with open threats such as “Aum dakhoitlonch, aum taka kossoch soddchona” and “aum Mopa Airport kortolonch”.  He lost the wisdom to discipline his tongue because power and absolute power has reached to his head turning him into a very arrogant and proud man. Good that he is shifted to Delhi otherwise in Goa as CM he would be a Salazar in the making. He was acquiring all the arrogant attributes of Dayananda Bandodcar before his death.  For such arrogance the answer is nothing but deaths or transfers because finally we are controlled by the supernatural power which stops us from going to the area where we are not supposed to go.

Since the time of becoming CM he failed the people of Goa by not fulfilling the assurances he gave to the people because he lost his original self and acquired a different self like that of Dr. Jackeyl and Mr. Hyde.  In his absence from Goa his party BJP will collapse like a pack of cards and its members will fight among themselves as Dogs and Cats.  The R.I.P. of BJP in Goa is very imminent and the current controversy over the appointment of new CM is an indication of the disastrous events to come.  In Parricar’s absence there is not a single person in BJP who is capable to maintain the homogeneity of the party and also there is not a single leader in its rank having leadership qualities wielding allegiance to him.  In view of this when BJP is in turmoil and Congress also the same, what will be the fate of Goa? In this turmoil the corrupt politicians will make hay while sun shines.

Parricar’s appointment as Defence Minister of India will not create any impressive effect on India’s defence because Parricar is not an expert in this field.  He is not Dick Cheney the Defense Secretary of USA during the Gulf War to create wonders  nor Parricar is Moshe Dayan of Israel.  He as a Defence Minister of India will be as worst as Y. B. Chawan of India who replaced Krishna Menon after India suffered humiliation from China in 1962.  I don’t think Parricar knows to fire even an ordinary Air gun.  He as a Defense Minister of India will fail miserably and only the time will give testimony to what I said. At the border Pakistan and China will never give peace to India and Pakistan not only at the border but even internally will foment lot of chaos in India.  Pakistan has produced an Atom Bomb only to destroy India and that is its greatest and only ambition and in the bargain if it gets liquidated from this planet no problem but India must be destroyed, this is the view of overwhelming majority of Pakistanis. This is for Parricar as Defense Minister of India to be aware of.
