NO BOM SAMARITAN IN DELHI ??

According to the information available,  for over two hours the victims of the gang rape and physical assault were left stranded on the street of Delhi when both the boy and his girlfriend were thrown out of the bus by the 6 Rapists. They were clotheless shivering in piercing wintry night of 6th December 2012 totally shattered with physical bruises all over the bleeding bodies. Inspite of the boy’s waving to the passing on the street of two wheelers and four wheelers to stop and help them, regretfully there was not a single Bom Samaritan among the passers-by who had a human heart to have a pity on them and stop his vehicle and help them. What a cruelty!!  What a tragedy!! How heartless persons were they who ignored the victims! I feel ashamed to be the citizen of India whose residents and citizens have reached to such an inhuman level in Delhi. The capital city of India Delhi should have had residents of Capital hearts but no, they had Small hearts and that was the pity of Delhi.

According to the victim boy, the Delhi Police also failed to rise to the occasion to help the victims but instead the Police ignored their professional as well as human responsibilities. It is not only Delhi Police but the entire Indian Police force is become heartless and corrupt. All the incidents and ills happening in India because of the callousness of the Police force and their insensitiveness towards human sufferings. Indian Police force is become like hardened criminal and as such they act as sadists. Indian Police force lacks humane culture, good discipline and proper family background for this reason they are become corrupt and hard hearted. Many times joining Police force is the job of third grade person and from their behaviour one can easily make out that they come from third grade family background. Person having polished family background will never act the way many of our Policemen are acting.

As a matter of interest during the time of Portuguese rule in Goa, overwhelming majority of Goans joining Goa Police Force was coming from low character family background. For this reason in Goa we had more “Cabo Sukddo” policemen. Joining Police Force during those days in many respects was the job of third grade Goan and even if he was not a third grade Goan the corrupt discipline of the Police Force would gradually make him genuinely a third grade.

I strongly support the young man the boyfriend of the Raped girl for his daringness in speaking out his heart to the media. Indian Police from Delhi will issue lot of clarifications to justify their stand but we are not fools to believe those crooks. To ignore the plight of the suffering people and the victims is the forte of Indian Policemen. One can easily make out their calibre when one hears about those raping females who are under their custody. I think there should be some reforms in Police department to change their character. Otherwise with this rotten Police force India will remain a barbaric country with many policemen as Barbarians.

Don Bosco, Malabar and DHL emerge victors: UG Trophy

Report: Joseph Gonsalves

 Don Bosco
 DHL
Three quarter finals were played on January 4th which saw Don Bosco, Malabar and DHL emerge as victors. Before the start of the first match a one minute silence was observed for Cyril Mucklar former UG member. The first match was between AVC and Don Bosco. Don Bosco started using the wings well in the beginning of the match but AVC defense did well to keep the ball out of the danger regions. AVC started to get back in the game and their first attempt saw a header sent inches away off the bar. Both teams began to increase the tempo and created good chances but both were unable to find the back of the net. Both the goal keepers were kept busy in the second half and both teams were guilty of missing great chances to take the lead. During the last five minutes, AVC fine effort was saved by a goal line clearance from the DBO last defender. The match ended in a tie after full time and extra time. Don Bosco had all of their penalty kicks on target but AVC missed one and it cost them the match. Godfrey from Don Bosco stood in as the keeper for the last spot kick and made a fine save to sent them through to the sem-finals where they will meet Malabar.

The second match of the day saw another close contest and a tie breaker was required.KGA and Malabar both winning by big margins last week were both matched equally in all departments.  KGA started well and had a good chance to score from a free kick at the start of the match.  No.10 Jose of KGA had only Shaijal the keeper to beat but he missed a golden opportunity. Shafi made a good run to give the lead to Malabar. In the second half KGA equalized froma  fine header from Agnelo Martin. Martin then increased the lead and made things difficult for Malabar. Malabar forward was fouled in the dee in the dying minutes of the second half. No.19 Sulfi made no mistake with his spot kick. The match ended 2-2 and the scores stayed levelled in extra time after fine perfomances from both the teams , but penalties was required to find a winner. A see saw of chances during the spot kicks and Malabar ended on the winning side.

The third match was between DHL and Goa Maroons. DHL moved the ball well on the pitch and were rewarded instantly when Seby found the Goa Maroons keeper Gomes off position. His long range effort gave the lead to DHL. DHL began to attack and dominate after their lead. In the second half Goa Maroons increased the pressure on DHL and created many good chances.  Joe’s free kick of Goa Maroons forced a diving save from the DHL keeper. But a mistake in the defense allowed Seby to double the lead for DHL. Goa Maroons won a penalty from a handball and Ian Dsouza took a cool penalty to get on the scoreboard. Goa Maroons tried their best to find the equalizer but time was not on their side. DHL will face Curtocares next week in the semi-finals.
