ALIGNMENT OF NON-BJP PARTIES IMPERATIVE.

Should we vote for the Congress Party candidates in the forthcoming election?  This is the poser put to me by many in our locality and elsewhere in Goa.

I got myself graduated to this level of Goan politics from the kindergarten of UG Party.  My taste for Congress got lost when that bitchy woman Indira Gandhi introduced the most ruthless Emergency rule in 1975  for  about 19 months.  In the last election I opposed all the corrupt Congressmen most of whom were defeated in the election mainly the Salcette “Rostad” and Bardez “Ostad” including our corrupt one who thru the support of Party Low and High Commands acquired huge wealth by looting the locality, by threatening the locals and intimidating them into his submission. Good that he was kicked out by his own voters otherwise with the degree of his brute “Dadagiri” he would surpass even Saddam Hussein in dealing ruthlessly people in his own locality.

As things are going on now, Congress alone will never win the coming election; on the contrary it may even lose more miserably than in the last election.  Opposition leader Rane Papa is become unfit not only to be the Opposition leader in the Assembly but even to lead the party in the forthcoming election. His love for Congress Party is only for his selfish gains otherwise he is anti-Goan by core being an MG Party child and MGP persons are always with BJP.  This is the logic.  If he was not made the Opposition leader, I am sure he would have left Congress and joined BJP like Mauwin Godinho.

It is a pity to note that once such a mighty Congress Party in Goa has now reached to such lowest ebb and why this has happened?  It has happened only because of the crook and corrupt Congress MLA’s and Ministers who went on with looting spree with such ferocity that by looting the Goans bodily finally they looted them even soully.

When this is the case, it is of imperative need for the Congress Party in Goa to deny the election tickets to all the defeated candidates in the last election and replace them by the new faces which are available in plenty.  Relying again on the defeated candidates and old guards will be the end of Congress in Goa.  This advice of mine to Congress Party under Luizinho Faleiro must be accepted in its totality if Faleiro wants to keep the presence of Congress Party in the local Legislative Assembly.

Secondly, individually it is impossible for Congress Party to win the next election. Hence, Congress Party must be bold enough to accept this fact and take the bold decision to align with other political  parties with a defined manifesto to fight the next election.  BJP is not in a position to win the next election because of its sins and sacrileges it committed against Goa and Goans and hence it will make all the tricks to devide the opposition votes. This game of BJP must not be allowed to play otherwise BJP will split the non-BJP votes and acquire the victory on silver platter.  The next election must be fought on the pattern of Opinion Poll with the polling pattern like either BJP or non-BJP.  All the local and national parties must make some sacrifices to fight this election collectively to dethrone BJP from the power it is holding by cheating the Goans. Currently BJP has reached to the highest peak of its dictatorial ways to destroy Goa. BJP government in Goa following Salazar’s ways to suppress Goan voice.

In the next election giving victory to BJP means justifying all the un-Goan and anti-Goan decisions and legislations by the BJP, namely the defective Regional Plan, demoting of Coconut Tree, supporting the Builders lobby to convert Goa into a concrete jungle, deGoanising Goa with non-Goans etc.  Re-electing the BJP MLA’s means blindly accepting their support to BJP government for all the wrong decisions against Goa and Goans. Wherever possible, defeating these MLA’s should be the top priority of non-BJP voters and supporters.  Currently all the non-BJP parties are for dethroning BJP from the power in Goa.  If they are really true to this decision then they must all come under one banner and with seat adjustment fight the next election the way it was done in Bihar recently.

WHY TO VOTE FOR BJP?

Some of my best friends are in the BJP camp and one of them a current MLA asked me, whom I will support in the coming  election.  When I said definitely not for your party, he questioned me, “why?”.  Then I asked him why should I support BJP and you in particular when you voted in the Assembly in demoting the mighty Coconut Tree?  Besides, I told him that your party has gone against all the promises given to us in the last election.  Then I asked him, where is Special Status for Goa?  Why sinful Casinos are not evicted from Goa?  Why minorities are psychologically disturbed with a feeling that they are a unwanted?  Then I asked him you being a minority community MLA,  why have you blindly supported the government in each and every wrong decision of your party including to demote Coconut Tree?

For all my queries he replied saying,  since “I am a party man, I have to abide by the party’s  decisions”.  For this I replied to him saying that it was we the voters who got you elected to act according to our requirements.  Besides, you have your own moral obligations to oppose what is bad for Goa.  Being a party man does not absolve you from observing certain obligations even if they go against your party because your party has already proved to be anti-Goan by going against all the promises it gave earlier.  Then I told him that it is not your party that got you elected, it is we the voters who got you elected  though the party gave you the ticket to contest the election.

What damage the Congress party has not done for Goa during its long tenure the BJP has done in the short tenure and if it is given further mandate, BJP will extinguish Goa from the Map and Goans from its land.  Hence, it is imperative  to bring about a change in the government peacefully thru ballot and not thru bullet.

ZAGOR IN CALANGUTE.

ZAGOR HELD IN CALANGUTE ON 26.01.16.

Anna Maria & Stacy Mesquita singing their song on Goa.
On Tuesday 26th of this month, at Calangute Tivai Vaddo next to Poriat football ground, I saw the Goan traditional Zagor  starting at 9.30 PM and attended by a good number of people coming from different villages. It was directed by Salvador Fernandes who besides directing this Zagor also  composed major portions of the songs rendered by the different singers coming not only from Calangute but also from beyond local borders.
Jerry Fernandes in the middle seen addressing the gathering

The chief guest for this Zagor was the son of the soil Jerry Fernandes (Chef Jerry), director of Gulf Goans Hotels Co. and the author of CD Calangute.  In his brief speech the Chief guest appreciated the efforts of the organisers to keep this traditional art alive in Calangute making special mention to Salvador Silveira for his  painstaking efforts to stage this Zagor.  He also assured his full support if required to keep this art moving further.  While concluding he said how as a young boy he used to go along with his mother to watch the Zagor staged in his locality and even naming some of the best Zagor artistes of yesteryears.  Jerry Fernandes as a token of his appreciation gave 4 thousand rupees to two singing items.
The director Salvador Silveira addressing the gathering

I used to see Zagor about 50 years back in our locality and also in neighbouring villages and my view on this Zagor was not good because it contained lot of vulgarity in action and in terminology as well.  Because of this low grade performance I stopped going regularly to see Zagor.  During those days seeing Zagor means acquiring vulgarity and lowliness but now there is tremendous change in Zagor.

Parra Boys singing one of  their song

What I noticed yesterday at Calangute, director Salvador Silveira introduced lot of changes in Zagor from the point of artistes to their performance with some minor irritants of old vulgar type which the director should delete next time.  Most of the artistes participated in this Zagor were educated, decent and persons of caliber who brought elegance and beauty for this Zagor.
FC Goa song in progress

The musical score provided by the local Gumott – Madyem – Kansaem expert musicians was excellent.  It was great to see them playing so beautifully with perfect timing and rhythm without applying the Solfa knowledge.  I hope and wish someone must come forward to stage this excellent Zagor in other villages to make them aware of the greatness of this art.
Musicians with Gumot-Madyem-Kansaem

Salvadoebab deserved highest compliments to stage this Zagor so well by giving modern touch and keeping the soul of Zagor intact.  I don’t understand why this director up to now not given a State Award for doing so much for Zagor and Tiatro.  The concerned authorities and persons should apply their minds on this proposal to award him suitably.
Salvador Silveira and his partners singing one of their Trios.

With the exceptions of two very vulgar songs, both solos, all the songs deserve highest compliments especially on political topics.  There were three songs on the loss of FC Goa in the final.  Parra Boys’ quartets, Salvador’s trios,  Stacy Mesquita’s songs are to be appreciated more.  The songs on Fr. Bismark, Coconut and Goa deserve wider exposure.  Director Salvadoro must apply his mind to spread this message because it cannot remain confined to the 4 walls of Calangute only.

The youngsters seen singing their trio.

Well done Salvador Silveira and his entire troupe including the excellent musicians who gave their best to make this Zagor a great success.

PUBLIC MEETING IN SALIGAO AGAINST BJP GOVERNMENT.

Forum Poster

Under the Citizens of Goa forum, yesterday in Saligao, Bardez, a public Meeting was held at 4.30 PM attended by a huge crowd not only from Saligao but also from many parts of Goa including from the neighbouring villages. It was addressed by the galaxy of seasoned speakers who had something or the other to give to the audience.  Qualitatively it was of very high standard where the  speakers proved that they possessed the vital knowledge of the subject  that they are speaking.  Their speeches were like the fountain of knowledge for this reason the audience were glued to their seats till the end of the meet.

A huge gathering for the Meet
The major attraction of the meet was the expert Compeer, the handsome Mr. Desmond who conducted the proceedings beautifully with his excellent knowledge of Goan politics and his mellifluent tongue brought an extra colour to this meet.

The Compeer Mr. Desmond

Those who spoke were Gajaan Naik, Azitsingh Rane, Swati Kerkar, Ramkrishna Jalmi, Diogo Fernandes, Albert Fernandes, Fr. Domnick Sequeira, Kennedy Afonso, Prakash of Pilerne Forum and Prajal Sakardande.

Parra Boys rendering one of their songs

The meet started with the rendition of two songs rendered by the now well-known group of singers, Parra Boys.  One of their songs was dedicated to Fr. Bismarq since it revolves around his life and death.
Swati Kerkar rendering her fiery speech

The topic the speakers discussed and highlighted were murder of Fr. Bismarq and justice for him, anti-Goan Regional Plan, Demoting of Coconut Tree. Dadagiri of the BJP government and its dictatorial treatment to the people of Goa and other aspects affecting the Goans including Dr. Jack de Sequeira’s contribution to the victory of Opinion Poll and ignoring the importance of Romi Konkani.

Prakash of Pilerne Forum

Though all spoke well yet I must make special mention to the scholarly oration given by the young Prajal Sakardande with an in-depth historical background of every topic he raised.  Ms Swati Kerkar in her normal hard hitting speech warned the Goa government to administer Goan affairs carefully and requested the ladies in every village to come forward to face the challenge posed by the BJP government as she faced once in her locality in Querim to stop Nylon Factory.  Prakash from Pilerne Forum in his normal indomitable style with the help of Power Point explanation showed to the audience how BJP government of Goa is destroying Goa and thereby alerting the Goans to be vigilant.  Another firebrand speaker young Kennedy Afonso with the help of Power Point explained in detail the route and time the killers used to kill Fr.Bismarq.  It was a very chilling display and explanation.

Kennedy Afonso

The meet finally ended with the passing of important resolutions which will be presented to the government of Goa.

Prajal Sakardande

Interestingly, some of the words used by the speakers were very bold and piercing such as:  Makodd Parsenkar, Makddachea Tonddacho,  Chor Parrikar, Doldiro BJP serkar etc.
Diogo of Saligao

Since this meet has explained some of the unanswered questions the public had, it would be better for the organisers to make a VCD/DVD of this Video film and thru U Tube circulate it throughout the world for the global Goans to know what is happening in Goa. These global Goans also have right to know what is cooking in  their beloved Goa and how the BJP government is trying to destroy their Goa.

SHUT - UP SUDIN DAULIKHAR.

Speaking to the media men as shown in the TV on 17.01.16 in the morning, Sudin Daulikhar said that Portugal should apologise to each and every Goan for committing cruelties on Goans. Mr. Sudin Daulikhar, shut your mouth,  you are nobody to talk on behalf of each and every Goan. As for me, I have not authorized you to speak on behalf of me and hence you have no right to ask Portugal to apologise to  each and every Goan in which category I also fall since Portuguez have not done anything wrong to me. In fact thru their rule I gained lot of benefits for which I thank them. However,  I disapprove of their colonizing of my Goa for such a long period.

Secondly, while continuing his talk with the media men, the same Sudin Daulikhar said that it was wrong on the part of MGP under Dayananda Bandodcar  to fight the Opinion Poll to merge Goa with Maharastra.  Mr. Daulikhar  you are a component of MGP which came into being with the excuse of merging Goa with Maharastra thru their hidden agenda actually to liquidate the influence of Christians in Goa. MGP’s hidden agenda was hatred to Goan Christians and Dayananda Bandodcar was the person who had hatred for Goan Christians though externally he did not indicate this but within his own circle he declared this hatred.  By merging Goa with Maharastra MGP knew Goan Christians will find it extremely difficult to acquire Marathi language and culture leading them to be defective to survive and thus get lost in their own land.  But victory in the Opinion Poll defeated this hidden agenda of MGP to Maratise Goa.

NOT PORTUGAL'S APOLOGY BUT MGP'S APOLOGY.

Minister Sudin Dhavlikar in the Assembly yesterday said that Portugal must first apologise to Goa for mercilessly ruling over Goans.  He also appreciated the role of Bharat of ousting the Portuguese from Goa because of which he said he and his colleagues are become legislators in Goa.

For the kind information of Dhavlikar, an MGP product,  if he and others are enjoying the benefit of legislators in Goa, the credit should go to Dr. Jack de Sequeira for leading the fight to get victory in the Opinion Poll  50 years back.  Sudin Dhavlikar’s Maharastrawadi Gomantak Party under its anti-Goan boss Dayananda Bandodcar wanted to liquididate the identity of Goa by merging Goa with Maharastra and if they had to get the victory, there would not be Legislative Assembly in Goa.  In this case, Sudin Dhavlikar and all the legislators would not be legislators. Hence, it was the anti-mergerists who are responsible to make Dhavlikar and others as legislators.

Secondly, though I disapprove of the colonialisation of Goa by the Portuguese, yet I see from the historical point of view that the Portuguese did not invade Goa just as India did on 19.12.61 but they were invited to take the possession of Goa by the then rulers of Goa because the local non-Christian people were fighting among themselves.

Many of the woes of Goa were the making of Portuguese dictator Salazar whose persecution was faced even by the Portuguese citizens in Portugal which was worse than what our  elders have faced.  If it was not for the Portuguese we in Goa would be  practicing some of the worst  cruel practices.  It was Portuguese that gave us Goans certain decency and life standard which was absent in other parts of India.  In 1961 December the living standard of Goans was much higher than that of average Indians elsewhere beyond the boundaries of Goa. Today if we as Goans admired and liked by the other Indians and foreigners it is only because of the discipline and manners inculcated in us by the Portuguese. This discipline and manners are still missing in other Indians.  If today tourists from India and abroad are coming to Goa it is only because of the peaceful atmosphere existing in Goa inherited from Portuguese rule and also to enjoy the fusion of Western and Eastern cultures existing in Goa due to Portuguese rule. I am grateful to Portuguese for this good influence though I repeat that I disliked their colonialism of my Goa.

If any Portuguese has to apologise to genuine Goa lover Goans like me then it must be the then Foreign Minister of Portugal Mario Soares for signing the surrender treaty of Goa to Bharat without  consulting us, the Goans. Mario Soares acted worse than the dictator Salazar. Secondly, it is the Mahastrawadi Gomantak Party of Sudin Dhaulikar that has to apologise for Goans for trying to liquidate Goa’s identity, culture, language and tradition by merging Goa with Maharastra.

While we are blaming the Portuguese can we ask ourselves how different are we now under the Bharati rule?  Goans are treated now like third grade citizens of India.  Our tails are held tightly by the Delhi Central government.  If we want something good for our Goa the Central government refuses forcing us to come on to the streets.  See one major demand of Goans that is Special Status for Goa is denied for us for so long by both the Congress and BJP.  There is no law and order in Goa as it was during the Portuguese regime.  The governments of Goa and India are harping on the hoax of democracy but I ask what is the use of democracy  if you have no basic life amenities such as life security, employment facilities, equal social status etc.?  Indian system is discriminatory while Portuguese not, for this reason Portuguese gave us the same facilities as to their own citizens.

After analysing everything, I feel we were better off and better treated during the Portuguese regime but not now. Now Goa is plundered in all sides by the Indians coming from all over India. Earlier it was not like that.  Now under Bharati rule Goa is administered and ruled by the third grade administrators and rulers who are looting Goa like hell. An average Goan now is not happy with the rule of Goans as well as of Central rulers.  They are not good for the cause of Goa and Goans but they are good for themselves and for their nearest and dearest.  I dislike this Bharat for all the ills it created in Goa but do not accept the Portuguese colonialism.  Neither I like the colonialism of Goa by New Delhi.

INJUSTICE DONE TO COCONUT TREE.

Finally the Coconut has been axed from the family of Trees by  the   arrogant  BJP government of Parsenkar by citing that unnecessarily Coconut Trees will not be felled.  I don’t believe in any assurance from BJP government whose forte lies in taking  “U” turn in every assurance. This BJP government is the government of Liars. There is no more trust left in me of BJP government. To facilitate the Builders lobby government will allow the felling of Coconut Trees rampantly.  There is saying in Konkani, "Dev poddla boballar, hoch vogot boro Igroj nagoupak".  This is what the policy of BJP in Goa.  Since this is the only opportunity they get to loot Goa in the name of development before the election, they are making maximum use of this opportunity.

Every BJP MLA should be held responsible for supporting this anti-Coconut legislation of BJP government in Goa including of my MLA who was elected by us to act upright and not to support any legislation of the government.  BJP may have given  him the ticket to contest the election but votes we have given him to act the way we want and not to support the wrong decisions of the government.  By blindly supporting the BJP government, the BJP MLA's are doing injustice to the upright voters who are waiting for all these BJP MLA's to teach them a very good lesson in the next election.  2017 will never be 2012 which was dominated by the Congress corruption.

During the electioneering process for the next election, every lover of Goa and Coconut Tree must raise this issue with their BJP candidates and also with others who toed the line of the BJP government in supporting this legislation.  The next election should be treated as the battle of Waterloo for BJP for annexing the Coconut Tree against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Goans.  The BJP MLA’s used their arrogant rights in the Assembly to act arrogant.  In the same manner we the voters reserve our rights to sensibly vote out these MLA’s from the Legislative Assembly of Goa. More than half the number of BJP MLA's will not see the Assembly Hall again because of the sins they committed against the people of Goa.

DEATH OF COCONUT TREE IN GOA?

R.I.P. COCONUT in Goa?  I don’t think so since it is too early to say yes because the way campaigning is going on to oppose the government  move  to declassify Coconut Tree from the category of Trees,  it looks Coconut Tree will be brought back into the fold of Trees either tomorrow or the day-after-tomorrow.  I don’t know who is the expert in the government to declassify Coconut Tree.  Coconut Tree and Coconut are the most essential parts of the Goans.  There is a saying in Goa  “you kill one coconut and you kill the support of one Goan”, that means,  one person can survive on one Coconut.  Our elders used Coconut Trees to build houses for them to stay, Coconut to fill their stomach and its Oil for different purposes including medicinal.  No part of Coconut Tree is wasted, so important is its utility  in our life,  besides helping to fortify the environment.

It is a rubbish decision of Goa government with a stroke of a pen  to convert this mighty tree into a piece of grass when it is not.  Because it is the life of Goans, for the first Assembly election in Goa Dr. Jack Sequeira as the President of UG Party selected Coconut Tree as the Symbol of UG but for some reason Election Commission rejected it. Coconut is also used as a religious symbol and when PDF government was formed under Dr. Proto Barbosa along with the master defectors Churchill Alemao and Mauwin Godinho, as it was given to understand, the entire ruling faction of PDF took the oath of allegiance by swearing-in on the Coconut,  in one of the Temples in the North Goa.

Though the power of Coconut is so fantastic yet its effect can turn into a big Zero when a person acts like a zero meaning “sarko Nal”.  I am sure Parsenkar government will  turn into a big “Nal” if not immediately then in the coming election for demoting Coconut Tree inspite of public outcry against the government decision.

THE NEW "NIRMON" FILM.

C.Alvares seen receiving his best actor award from Indira Gandhi for original Nirmon.

On 6th of this month, at Marquinez Palace, Esg. Complex, Panjim, I watched the Remix “NIRMON” Konkani Picture at 6.30 PM. It was attended by a good number of attendees though the hall was not full.

The original Nirmon picture I saw when it was released about 50 years back and during that time it created a sensation all over Goa in particular and Konkani world in general.  The quality of this Cinema was so great that finally it won the National Award which was presented in Delhi by the then premier of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi;  C.Alvares winning the best actor award.

The current Nirmon picture is worth seeing and worth admiring as it was done very well with the help of modern technology, the effects of it can be seen easily on the screen. While the original Nirmon was done by most of the top Goan Tiatrists, in the current Nirmon only a few Tiatrists acted, namely C. D’Silva playing the role of Souza Ferrao as Bebdo in the original Nirmon and comedy role of Jacinto Vaz in the original Nirmon,  is played by John D’Silva in the current Nirmon.  Bachan also played a small role in the current Nirmon.

                                                 Advertisement for the current Nirmon

The main substance of the original Nirmon is retained in the current Nirmon but some changes have been introduced.  In the original Nirmon the role of Rudolf as mine owner businessman played by Anthony D’Sa  is now changed to a businessman owning a Shipyard.  The song rendered by Jacinto Vaz in the original Nirmon is changed a bit in the sense the scene where Jacinto Vaz was hanging on the Bus is omitted from the current Nirmon while the song Claudia  in the current Nirmon is rendered very beautifully. Though the roles played by both the girls in the current Nirmon in place of Ophelia and Antonette were good yet the attractiveness of Antonette and Ophelia and the charm they both had was missing in the current Nirmon. The role played in the original Nirmon by C. Alvares was supreme and no one can defeat him yet this role played by the artiste in the current Nirmon was good. Alvares took his greatness along with his dead body to the grave. The role played in the current Nirmon of Shalini in the original Nirmon  is excellent, her clarity is superb, lookwise she has better attraction and her voice resembles that of Shalini but her Konkani sounds like that of a Manglori Konkani.  The roles played by the small children especially by the boy were extremely good.  They brought tears into the eyes of many in the audience.

Qualitywise this current picture is very good and it is worth watching.

LACK OF MEDICAL SERVICE AT NIGHT TIME.

On fifth of this month, a friend of mine in Calangute fell sick suddenly at about 9.00 PM, bleeding thru his nose.  Having no proper medical facility in that village, he was rushed to Candolim at one of the private hospitals, at about 10.00 PM but it was found closed on the main gate itself.  After persistent calls to open the gate, one Nurse appeared and said that there is no resident doctor to see the patient.  Then in that precarious condition my friend was rushed to another prominent private hospital in Candolim where the resident sister told the same answer advising further to take the patient to Candolim Health Center.  Having gone there my friend was checked with a cursory glance and advised to take him to Mapusa district hospital or to Galaxy private hospital where he was given the necessary treatment by the resident doctor there and sent home.

It is surprising to know that being such a mighty village with a mighty name and fame Calangute where most of the tourists are flocking, there is no proper medical facility for a common man with a common sickness during the emergency at night time.  And in Candolim which is the world renown village known all over the world as the village that gave birth to the world renown personality Abade Faria and Pintos  revolutionaries, it is surprising to be aware that there is no proper doctors and no proper medical facilities in all the three hospitals there during the night time.  If those  hospitals do not have resident doctors round the clock  then they  should be called Clinics only.

In such a situation how Goa government will promote tourism in Goa and in costal belt areas without proper medical facilities?  Because of such missing facilities responsible tourists are afraid to come to Goa for holidays.  This is one of the reasons for diminishing the number of tourists in Goa and as a matter of fact  it will go on diminishing more and more till tourism is collapsed in Goa though  however much tourism minister  may say it is boosting in Goa.  Unless you give better facilities and safety for their life, tourists will never come to Goa in big number.

PARRICAR UNFIT TO BE THE DEFENSE MINISTER.

The defence portfolio is the most important portfolio for India when on both the sides India is surrounded by the hostile neighbours; Pakistan is the worst as it came into being to oppose India. Hence, India needs a well versed defense minister to handle the most complicated defensive system.  In the history of independent India, only once India lost its war against China because of the amateur defense minister Krishna Menon who was smart in some other field but never in defense.  Then Y.B. Chawan came to head this ministry and while taking up this portfolio, he said  “I am going to Delhi  from Maharastra to get back the thousands of acres of land China captured from us in that war”.  But in the end, what has happened? China subsequently captured more Indian land because our defense system was weak and not capable to face the onslaught  neither of China nor  currently of Pskistan.   In such a situation, India cannot afford to leave the task of protecting the nation’s borders into the hands of amateur person like Manohar Parricar who may be good in some other field.

Before the starting of Gulf War for the liberation of Kuwait, The US President George Bush Sr. brought in the expert in defense and armament system, Dick Chenney under whose leadership USA fought the war and liberated Kuwait.  I still remember one eyed man Moshe Dayan of Israel who as defense strategist of Israel made the entire Arab world headed by Gamal Nasser of Egypt eat a humble pie in the Arab-Israeli war of 1965 when Nasser arrogantly vowed to dump tiny Israel into the sea.

Parricar is no doubt a smart man but surely not in the defense.  He is a big risk in India’s defense system.  His knowledge of modern complicated war system is nil, I don’t know whether he fired at least a shot from Airgun.   Besides, his interest revolved more around Goan politics. He is known to apply his mind more for Goan politics than for  defense.  In the current Pathankot terrorist attack his leadership failed the nation very much.  When the situation was so  dangerous he instead of confining himself to the danger zone to monitor the situation  he was seen spending time in Goa lecturing his partymen on Goan politics.  This does not suit a responsible person who is the guardian of country’s borders.  In the end he will prove to be a shame for Goa.
