It was not an ordinary shock but it was
like a surprise, the way it came like
the thundering without lightning thus putting them out of the track. It came
like a holocaust, it came like an atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima without
prior notice. What is it then? It was nothing but the greatest shocking blow the
worst traitor than the Biblical Judas, Vijay Sardesai received from BJP when he
was informed by the BJP to submit his and his equally worst traitor colleagues,
resignations from the Goa Ministry. It was highly unexpected blow which they
found really unbearable. In this context
let me cite another example of sudden blow.
It was in early seventies when the then
powerful Cabinet colleague and deputy Premier cum Finance Minister of India, in
the Cabinet of Premier Indira Gandhi, Morarjee Desai was dismissed from her
Cabinet. Morarjee Desai surprisingly knowing not what has happened on the
previous night at Indira Gandi’s residence, receiving this news of his fate in
the morning news bulletin of All India Radio, remarked thus: When I heard this
news first at All India Radio of my dismissal from the Cabinet, “it looked to
me that Indira Gandhi dropped me like a house wife dropped potatoes and Onions
in the Kitchen”. So humiliating this
news was. And the importance of the jobs the ministers hold, they come to know
only when they are thrown out abruptly.
I saw once how so many MLA’s and Ministers
while coming out of the Secretariat after the
dissolution of the Goa Legislative Assembly, were crying and sobbing by
putting their handkerchiefs in their mouths realising the unwantedness and
humiliation they will have to face. Within a few minutes one of them being
unable to face the World around his head, after reaching home was struggling to
jump into his well to commit suicide. Don’t we know how that MGP crook Karmali
committed suicide in Bombay by jumping from the top floor of the Hotel where he
was staying? He committed this suicide because Bandodcar denied him the ticket
to contest the re-election, during the earlier term he was Education/Health
Minister in Bandodcar’s Caabinet and because he was Minister, the pride and ego
gone to his head, he started acting like a Maharaja and feudal lord, a short
time ago the top Portuguese officials were living like feudal lords in Goa.
Karmali was imitating them as if he was the Portuguese just like our
counterparts in other parts of India under the British rule were doing by
imitating the British Monarchs. These
Indians and those Goans who were known to eat Pan-Potti and Rotti wearing Dhoti
cannot imitate the Europeans. The
Europeans are Europeans, they have their own way of living, eating, drinking
and humanity which are totally foreign
to us and yet we want to imitate them.
Compared to them and their life style, we are far backward because we
are intellectually “fakir” and just to untag that tag of fakir we try to act
like them with full of pride in ourselves.
This is the result of the ancestral inferiority complex we are suffering
and Karmali was one of them, the government provided Limousine, Bungalow at
Altinho Panjim, security round the clock not only for him but even for his dogs
and cats. Did his “Azo” any time dreamt
that his “Natu” will anytime in his life time enjoy such benefits? Never.
But he enjoyed and during his Ministerial period enjoying all those free
of cost facilties, pride gone to his head and started acting like super Goan in
which capacity he started treating people below and around him like
“Kochro”. So when he was denied the
election ticket to contest the election, how he could get on the same position
as he was occupying during his previous tenure?
Earlier he was acting like a man coming from outer planet but later on
how he could act thus? Even an ordinary
man on the street would not say hello to him by calling him as “Sir”. Thinking
all these humiliations he would have to face, he said it is better to commit
suicide which he finally committed in Bombay.
Today Vijay Sardesai and his
gang of another 3 traitors are suffering from powerlessness though they have
minted money thru illicit means but money is not everything and as it is quoted
in the Bible “man does not live on bread alone”. Earlier they enjoyed the power
abundantly especially Vijay Sardesai who even used to shake Parricar. He was wielding
lot of influence under Parricar who according to confidential information have
meekly surrendered for so many times. This support of Parricar reached to the
head of Vijay Sardesai and Kauntte too and because of this temporary power both
of them were acting like Emperor Nero.
They never thought that the power they used was just a temporary and
borrowed one which can at any moment vanish like an Ether putting Vijay’s false
pride on the road.
I know the current generation
is very angry on those politicians who are responsible to corrupt the
democratic and secular system existing in Goa and according to my observation I
feel the members of this generation will never forgive all those politicians
who defected to other parties. This generation
members may even strip them nude and conduct Nuremburg type of trial of
them on the public street.
