I was wondering where is your regular writer from Dubai Mr Agnelo, we all love his articles he got guts and straight forward articles. Your guess is correct, yes it is that Bonny famous Bonny in Dubai and in Goa where football and Thiatr are concerned. He used to organize tournaments in Dubai with the promise of cach prize also and do the same as done in Goa. My source tells me that he had one big tournament organized in Goa along with Casmiro Palha (Ex International football keeper of India and also Ex Dempo) at Candolim Ground few years back with a promise of Aid for HIV affected children in Tivin ( correct me if I am wrong on the name front) but nothing happend and even Casmiro got cheated in that bargain.
Now coming back to Dubai, in order to stop the irregularities ( promise cash and give throphies )my source tells me that all the Team Managers in Dubai got together and stopped participating in his tournaments, ask any Goan team manager in Dubai and he will vouch for this. He also organized a 11-a- side intervillage tournament during Ramadan in joining hands with Goan Cultural Society (another dubious character) against the other tournament which was organized by Seven Stars or United Goans ( one of the two, names confused) during the same time.
Now I heard that he has joined hands with Seven Stars / United Goans and left Goan Cultural Society and when asked how he could do that, reply came, ask the people in Dubai what Bonny is and who Bonny is. HE IS ONE WHO WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY. He does not even care for his own Blood where money is concerned and this was the talk people speak on the football ground. It is suprising that Kuwait Goans joined hands with Bonny to organize a tournament in Dubai, looks like bigger CUT but beware Bonny is Kolo ( FOX ) from Saligoa.
People in Dubai talk of the good old days where football was played for love of football with Football knowledgeable people managing teams spending their own money with football loving players, they too were spending their own money with good atmosphere around grounds but now it seems Players are paid Cash to play for the teams, teams are Sponsored by Companies and the teams are run by people who has money but does not have knowledge of football ( may be gained now after participating for many years)
Some of the managers must have not even kicked football for village teams in Goa. These people want to show off that they are someone in the society. Dubai football was and is run by Mafia type of groups. During the initial stages as the Old timers in Dubai tells Ruzai Fernandes the tiatrist son of late tiatrist Alexinho de Candolim and Salcette people were on forefront in organizing footbal events in Dubai and they are now no more involved, some left Dubai and few have passed away ( may their soul rest in peace).
Now the mafia group hailing from Ilhas and Bardez ruling while the Salcette people have taken the back seat. Salcette people dance to the organizers tunes and Salcette teams are also dwindling in participation numbers. Time to wake up Salcette people either go alone or join hands with them. Hire Bonny if you'll got money and he will handle everything only open your wallets. We need competetion in organization here where the balance can tilt. It is now for many years one side game.

RAVI NAIK & HIS PRINCE SON ROY IN GOA.
Among all his sons, Harilal was the most mischievous and robust son of Mahatma Ghandi. He was according to Ghandi was not a disciplined boy befitting to Mahatma Ghandi’s status. When Harilal went out of the decent and disciplined way of life, doing things against law, order and morality and thereby spoiling the public image of Mahatma Ghandi, father Ghandi told the authorities that ‘I DISOWN MY SON – DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO WITH HIS INDISCIPINED WAY OF LIFE’.
Ravi Naik, the Home Minister of Goa is a public figure and as such his activities should be done under the disciplined manner. When I say his activities, even his son’s, Roy Naik’s activities come under this category. Public has all the rights to screen and comment on the activities of public figures and their close family members as well when they commit breach of discipline. There is a saying in Konkani ‘ RAZA PODON MHONTLEAR MORT MARUNK ZAINA’. Just because his father is the Home Minister of Goa, Roy Naik cannot commit “hara-kiri” of discipline by taking the law into his own hands. Roy Naik has already been accused in the Court by Scarlet’s mother of giving Drugs to Scarlet who was found killed at Anjuna Beach. This was a serious allegation Scarlet’s mother made against Roy Naik and as such his father Ravi Naik cannot remain as silent spectator to this accusation against his son. As a public figure Ravi Naik is responsible to the entire Goan public to absolve his son of the accusation made by Scarlet’s mother. Till such time, Ravi Naik must accept the alleged guilt of the mischief of his son and tender his resignation from the Cabinet or else Chief Minister Digambar Kamat must ask Ravi Naik to resign from his Cabinet. Public figures should be clean in their discipline and they should be above suspicion. There is a saying in Konkani "UZO NASTANA DUNVOR EINA". Without any substance Scarlet's mother will not name Roy Naik in the court. It is risky for any person to hold public office and allow his son to commit a crime. If Home Minister himself is siding with his indisciplined son then how there will be efficient law and order situation in Goa?
On the blind support of their fathers, few young mischievous sons of the Goa ministers are taking law into their own hands and commit crimes in society. ‘RAZA PODON MHONTLEAR MORT MARUNK ZAINA’. Ravi Naik and all the ministers in Goa whose sons are accused of committing crimes and rowdism in society, following in the footsteps of Mahatma Ghandi must disown their Rowdy and Criminal Sons and leave them into the hands of authorities to decide their fate. Mahatma Ghandi as the real son of his real father showed his calibre of disowning his mischivous son. Will our Goa Ministers do this as real sons of their real fathers? If they are real Congressmen then the Congress Ministers of Goa will follow the example of fatherly Congress figure Mahatma Ghandi. Otherwise Goa will face lot of problems when new artificial Princes that is, the sons of Ministers will act as Sanjay Ghandi of Emergency era in India. I feel social activists must join together and go to Delhi and personally bring this incident to the notice of Sonia Ghandi and other top Congress leaders especially those who are in charge of Goa Desk. By all means the “Dadageri” of our Ministers and their rowdy sons must come to an end.
Since the Portuguese rule ended in Goa, we created another Portuguese class of ‘Dictators’ in Goa. Who are they? They are the Ministers and their sons and relatives who are become like Agente Monteiros in Goa. Like Agente Monteiro, they can harass, rape and even kill anyone like Scarlet and Nadia Torrado. Goan public must revolt against this type of Dadagiri of our politicians and their sons. Portuguese dictators were far better but not the new artificial dictators we are having in Goa now in the form of Politicians and their sons. Portuguese dictators had respect for law and morality but not the latest Goan dictators who got no respect for anything in life. For sex and cash they will do anything, even they will sell their wives and daughters and expect others also to do the same. It is a pity that Goa is heading towards the wrong direction.
Goa can be saved from further disaster if and only if the Goa Church takes a very firm decision to raise firmly and openly its voice on regular basis against the injustice done in Goa by the persons and authorities concerned. But, by the way, is it possible in the current situation when our Priests themselves are involved in rendering injustice and accepting injustice against the teaching of Jesus Christ? Goa Church always failed to fight for justice when its voice was very audible and powerful but gradually its influence on Goa will thin down because of outside and non-Goan influence on Goa with the continuous influx of non-Goan Catholics into Goa who do not care for Goa Church. Hence, while still in force, Goa Church must play its role rightly.
