Wilson Coelho - a frontline leader among Goans in Kuwait
Who nominated the awardee in Kuwait to receive the NRI Community Service Leader in Kuwait? Everyone is wondering to know and questioning each and everyone that who nominated these recipients of the awards. Some of the good community service leaders in Kuwait are already dead, left / gone or retired, etc., and one cannot understand that the awardee who fought with the Goa government to nominate himself and described as NRI Community Service Leader in Kuwait.
First of all, approximately 40,000 or above Goans, being singles or with families is residing in Kuwait since 1960’s. Do we have any NRI organizations in Kuwait? The answer is No, not at all. We have many associations of goans in Kuwait and all these associations are involved with their personal activities in collecting funds for themselves. Very few do the charity works in Kuwait. And some empty vessels make noise by doing nothing, being deserted from the own villages in Goa to live elsewhere, I’m doing this…….. I’m doing that………... and the final result is Zero.Do we have a GOA NRI Cell in Kuwait? The answer is NO. Then who nominated the awardees from Kuwait to receive the NRI awards? Can the writer answer my question?
A person who called himself as “Dayanand Narvekar” of Kuwait, greedy, keeping public money from the welfare association, requesting sex for jobs or involved in sex scandals, never ever gave a single penny from his pockets as donations to the needy and the poor, being publised on the media as a non-goans, holding Canadian Nationality, etc., shall be entitled to receive the NRI Award?
Another ambusher DOTOR from the Club Nine in Kuwait never ever seen among the goans, nor did any charity / social service to any goans, or the goan community in Kuwait received NRI award through his hindu Wasta from Goa.As the writer said in his article, that the Dayanand Narvekar of Kuwait’s ambition was to be a top police officer in Goa. Thank god for not selecting him in the police force, otherwise all the goans girls and ladies will be in more trouble for his sexual harassments.
Regarding the Hotel Goan Heritage in Calangute, Bardez – Goa, it is the hard earned money of Kuwait Goans, and I heard that the chairman of the hotel another Ex-Kuwait Goan, is lavishily enjoying his life on the expense of Kuwait Goans hard earned money.
Goan Evacuee Society formed in Goa during the invasion of Kuwait in the year 1991 and collected huge money from each and every Kuwait goans in Goa and promised that all Kuwait goans will be repatriate back to Kuwait for their jobs. Nothing has been done by this Society. They failed in their promises and the money collected by the society is gone in the pockets of Wilson Coelho and Joe Cota’s account. NRI Cell of Goa shall clarify where the money is?
GOA Day was first initiated by Joseph F X D’souza who was supported by a well known GWS member and not by Wilson Coelho, as the writer penned down in his article. He was just a member of the associations like other members too; they also should have the credit. Moreover, it was announce that the constitutions of the welfare society was supposed to be amended with new articles and shall be done by the new committee which failed till to-date.
The NRI cell of Goa thinks that GWS is the sole welfare society in Kuwait, then they should look the loopholes / corruption in money wise which has been kick off earlier by account holders of the society. What happen with the new membership which supposed to be opened for the Kuwait Goans in Kuwait? Can the writer explain since he is supporting the new Dayanand Narvekar of Kuwait?
Regarding the flights to Goa, Air India was started by the then station manager Mr. Pewekar who spoke to the audience during the visit Mr. Chandrakant Keni and his troupe in the Carlton Hotel and not by Wilson Coelho, as the wrong information penned down by the writer. Immediately after Mr. Pewekar has been transferred because he started Air India to Goa.Whereas Airfare rates are high for Goa sector, and Chennai / Calicut is less than Goa. Why?
The new GWS president is telling the Kuwait goans that he has done this and that. Will he do the justice to the poor goans who travels in the Indian Airlines and Srilankan Airlines from Kuwait and vice versa? Let's wait and watch.......
Regarding the repatriations of goan maids in Kuwait, please confirm openly on the net or media with a proof, how many maids have been repatriated? Or Print on the souvenir for the forth coming event of GWS. Then NRI Cell of Goa shall investigate this issue and bring out in their reports. Keeping in mind, the NRI Cell of Goa shall ask the Kuwait Goans who to nominate and not those who demands the NRI awards. Watch out my further comments……………
