With my head down in
shame as a Goan, I strongly condemn the hara-kiri the shameless 10 Goan Congressmen
committed by defecting to the BJP thereby creating political chaos in Goa. Just
as at the Centre so too in Goa the weakness of Congress leadership was exposed.
It is so many days now that this disaster took place and yet the Congress Party
is still silent without going attacking. Those Congressmen who are refusing to come
forward at this critical time and shoulder the responsibility to face the
current calamity, are cowards. They should not escape now from doing damage control process to strengthen
the party.
Congress never had base in
Goa and the present Congress Party came
to power only by chance without people’s mandate when Dr. Willy & Co.
converted Cong. Urs into the current Cong. I. There is not a single Congressman
now having fighting capacity to regain the loss suffered but they are ready to
occupy the CM’s Chair. It is hard to digest that every setback the Congress
Party accept like slave. They lost their
fighting spirit and if this is so, they must voluntarily resign gracefully so
that their places are filled by the new fresh faces.
In the first defection
in Goa in early seventies when 5 UG MLA’s defected to MG, under his leadership and as an opposition leader, Dr. Jack Sequeira without wasting a minute held 5 public
meetings in the 5 constituencies of those 5 defectors and tore them into pieces
by disgracing them publicly thru his hard hitting oratory. The effect of these meetings was such that
none of them got re-elected in the next election. Similarly, the public opinion should be raised against
all the defectors now only.
Is Congress Party ready
for this ? I doubt. In view of this, are
we the Congress voters ready to do anything to protect this Party?
Meantime, where is Vijay
Sardesai and his other top Judases gone now?
Must be hiding from public galore.
It is a good lesson for them to learn because it is said “GHATH APLEAK
SONTOS PELEAK”. “KELEM TUKAM ANI ZALEM MHAKA”. “KORTA TEA MAPAN BHOGTA”. Atam khayat Patoyo.
