GOA CHURCH SELLING GOA.
Goa Church is one of the biggest landlords of Goa. Its landholding is spread all over Goa. Every village is having a Church and every Church is having its land and properties. We call the Church property as land of Confraria. This land was centuries back gifted to the Curch by some of the Goan Catholic landlords for the maintenance of Church and its expenses.
After the exit of Portuguese from Goa, much of the Confraria land was sold cheaply by the village Church Pe. Vigars not only to the local Catholics but also to the non-Goans, to the enemies of Goa, to the enemies of the Church and to the enemies of the Christianity as well. In this way Goa Church has brought enemies of Goa and Christianity at our doorsteps. In this way Goa Church also became responsible for selling our land to our enemies and non-Goans.
According to the latest information, Goa Church is on its land selling spree in Caranzalem, Panjim Betim, Bambolim and other places to the builders who are exploiting the local tenants very much against the Christian principles which goes against the teachings of Christs in whose name Church is functioning. It is not Goan "Rostad Bhattkars" alone who are responsible for the sale of Goan land to the non-Goans but according to the latest information Goa Church is also very much responsible in selling Goan land to outsiders and thereby attracting non Goan "Pidda" to Goa. This "Pidda" one day will not only destroy Christianity from Goa but also genuine Goans from Goa as well. The land that Goa Curch is selling to non Goans and builders were the gits of some landlords for the favours they received from Goa. It was not meant for sale to anyone. By selling this land Goa Church and Goan Confrariars will surely become rich but by not selling this land Goa Church and Confrariars would not become poor either.
The intention of those who centuries back gifted their land to the Church was not to sell to the third party but against this principle Church is selling Goan land to outsiders and thereby deGoanising Goa. In the recent campaign against the influx of immigrants and selling of Goan land to the builders and non-Goans, as the representative of Goa Church Fr. Maverick is campaigning very hard to stop the sale of Goan land to the outsiders. Thru this method the Church of Goa contradicts its own principle of justice. There is a saying in Konkani "APUN POILO ZAUNCHO NITT ANI DUSREAK MARCHEM MITT".
Lot of Goans are giving their land and old houses to the Church as gifts. Henceforth, I strongly feel that none of the Goans should gift their land and houses to the Church because Church is become corrupt. For the acquisition of wealth Goa Church will do anything with the blessings of the corrupt priests. Some of the corupt people in Goa are the priests. They want luxuries only. Take for exmple, the priests in many Churches never declare the weekly collections they receive in the Church during the masses. Those who declare they dont give details of how and where they spend it. In the absence of proper trasparency, people feel the exhaustive Sundays collection goes into the pockets of priests for the purchase of luxurious vehicles, for the maintenance of the concubines of many of the priests and for the extravaganza in wine and dine.
In some countries in the Gulf this type of collecion is never disclosed to the congregation thereby making the faithfuls to believe that it is misused by the respective Bishops, Priests and even Deacons and Sankistaum and Church Drivers to fatten their Bank Account back at home in their respective countries. For this reason, during Sunday and other Festival Masses, faithfuls should not contribute anything because Church authorities misuse the contributions of the faithfuls especilly of poor people. In one counry in the Gulf, as per information, major portion of this collection goes into the pockets of Deacon and Sankistaum, in another country the local Bishop does not want to take into account the coins which he gifts to the Sankistaum Deacon and driver. For this reason, those who count this collecion after every Mass are become rich thru this illicit method while those who put their contribution are become a source of mockery.
