This is in reply to the below published article on Cansaulim Builder who is strongly supported by Mauwin Godinho, as per the contents of the article.
People from Cansaulim must directly go to Fr.Conceicao D'Silva who was instrumental in getting Mauwin Godinho elected in the last election against Mathanay Saldanha and put before Fr. Conceicao the cunningness of Godinho. Fr. Conceicao should be held responsible for all the anti-Goan tricks Mauwin Godinho is playing against the interest of Goans from Cansaulim. This is the quality of our priests in Goa. They are also become as corrupt as politicians and for this reason they are supporting corrupt and cunning politicians like Mauwin Godinho who if given a chance will even sell whole of Goa for outsiders just like Goa Church is doing.
It is time now for Cansaulim villagers working in Kuwait to raise their voice in unison in support of their brothers and sisters in Cansaulim fighting against Mega Projects. Kuwaitkar Goans can do lot of good for Goa and Goans in Goa but they must take a decision in this direction. It is time now for Cansaulimkars in Kuwait to rise in unison.

SHAMELESS ANTI GOAN CANSAULIM BUILDER SUPPORTED BY SHAMELESS CUNNING MAUWIN GODINHO.

Look at this shameless Builder Aboobak Shaikh alias Babloo accusing the villagers of Cansaulim of lying and being malicious. Using the backing of that corrupt politician Mauvin Godinho and some of the Panchayat members he went about securing permissions from the TCP on the basis of false plans. He now conveniently says that he was not advised on the “procedural requirements” by the Panchayat and is targeting the villagers of Cansaulim instead.
Aboobakr Shaikh is the builder constructing this Gonsalves-Dias Gates project consisting of 66 flats in Cottar Vaddo. The approach road to this mega-housing project starts near the ancestral home of Fr.Randall Barretto (Pilar Society) and is a very narrow one at some places barely two metres wide at some stretches and leads to a dead-end at St Thomas Cansaulim Church. How would this meagre road support the traffic flow from 66 additional flats where in the vicinity today hardly a handful of households have vehicles? Moreoverhe has blocked the traditional access that the villagers had through the property to go about their daily lives like accessing the Market,Railway, Bus stop, etc.
Aboobakr Shaikh has gone about intimidating, threatening and abusing the villagers including Fr. Randall Barretto who hails from the village when he questioned him as to how he was cutting the coconut trees in Fr. Barretto’s family property soon after Mauvin Godinho declared at a public meeting that he would not tolerate anyone standing against the “development” that his friend Aboobakr Shaikh has planned for the village. He continues to threaten to finish of the villagers of Cansaulim who are standing up to his bullying tactics and money power, including an elderly man Inac Xavier whose traditional access to his home had been blocked. In fact the villagers of Cansaulim have always been using these traditional paths for generations!
Aboobakr Shaikh had numerous illegalities in his plans for this mega-housing project. The TCP has now woken up after the Gram Sabha and the Cansaulkars have questioned this. If the Panchayat is not willing to act and revoke the licence then the Directorate of Panchayats needs to intervene and dissolve it. With the blessings of Mauvin Godinho and some corrupt Panchayat members Aboobakr Shaikh has set about to destroy Cansaulim.
Cansaulkars need all the support to save their village from the likes of Aboobakr Shaikh.

The builder of a mega project at Cansaulim, Babloo Shaikh, while refuting all charges of irregularities in the project, has now accused the Cansaulim-Arossim-Cuelim panchayat of failing to inform him of the procedural requirements that has now led to a controversy. Speaking to TOI, Shaikh said that there were no illegalities in theproject and all complaints by certain villagers were "false andmalicious".
TOI had recently reported how the panchayat had failed to issue stopwork order to the project despite instructions in that regard by the town and country planning department (TCP).
The TCP, in its letter to the panchayat dated May 6 had pointed out that the traditional access passing through the property was not shown in the plan and that no approval was taken from the water resourcesdepartment for the construction of a well by the builder. As per TCP’sdirections, the panchayat asked the builder to submit a revised plan within a month.
Refuting the charges, Shaikh maintained that he has not blocked any traditional access and that all the residents in the vicinity have access to their houses through properly tarred roads. "As regards the construction of the well, it was clearly shown in the site plan that was submitted to the panchayat and the TCP. If at all I was required to obtain the approval of the water resources department (WRD), the panchayat should have told me to do so before issuing the construction license. Nevertheless, I have applied for the approval with the WRD in March and they are yet to process the application," Shaikh said.

WHY DIASPORA GOANS INVITE CORRUPT POLITICIANS?
Why Diaspora Goans Invite Corrupt Politicians ? Is it a compulsion to invite Goan Politicians for any function by Goans around the world ? I am sure the answer is no, so why invite them, can any one tell me of one Goan politician in the present Vidhan Sabha who is not corrupt or not supporting the other corrupt politicians or not supporting the degradation of Goa, for a share of the spoils and well being ? If there exists even one he deserves all our adulation. Chief guests or guests of honour should be role models with impeccable records and character so that other who are present at the function may look up to them for inspiration. Why not invite some educationists, intellectuals, literary figures, credible social workers, environmentalists or even some of our highly regarded priests or other religious figures, who said it has to be only politicians ?
As I see things, I know I am not wrong, I strongly feel those who invite these corrupt politicians, want to score some brownie points against their names and be in good books with the politicians, so that they can use them to legalize a few of their illegalities or get their other work done, when they go back home, then there are some others, who are natural born politicians bootlickers who just can’t help but keep on licking their boots. For all those who think that they can make use of these corrupt politicians once in Goa, just forget it, they will not even entertain you unless you offer them a bag full of notes.
I know of one person, at whose house two relatives who are now ministers use to frequently visit, he use entertain them at his cost not just at his home but overseas too where he use to work, whenever they visited, but when one day the man asked one of the same ministers to help him to get admission for his son in a professional college, even though the boy had a very good percentage the minister told the father that he’ll have to sell out a lot of cash for his son’s admission. This is what our politicians are, fortunately the boy got admission in a professional college but in a different faculty. In Konkanni there is an adage “hanv maka ani Dev peleak” as far as the politicians are concerned they work for themselves and leave others to God. Watch out all you Goans who want to score brownie points with our Goans politicians, you all will be disappointed and don’t regret later and if you are bootlickers, continue doing so till your tongue wears out and I assure you, even then you’ll be expected to continue and if you stop your backside will be kicked to kingdom come. Don’t say I didn’t warn you !!!
