TIATRO " GOY GOYKARANCHEM".

 

Yesterday on 10^th of this month, I saw this Tiatro staged at Mapusa at Hanuman Theatre, starting at 3.35.  It was attended by the capacity crowd and the audience enjoyed every bit of it, in both the segments story wise and thru side show songs. It was fully a politically scripted story where Goan political system and government’s faulty policies were tore into pieces, such as Mopa Airport, Regional Plan etc.  Since this Tiatro is going to be staged all over Goa starting from first show at Mapusa yesterday,  I will desist from giving full detail of the story.  However, I suggest every genuine Goan who loves Goa to see this Tiatro and be a part of the Goan awakening as depicted in this Tiatro.

Both the duo of Father and Son – Sylvester Vaz and his handsome young son played their roles extremely well as social activists, so also by Wilson Mazarello with his majestic personality and Himalayan voice.  Both the sisters, the lovely looking Aplon and attractively Saree dressed Felcy brought an extra colour to the play also as social activists.  Jude Michael Gracias playing the role of a Hindu politician/minister captured the attention of the audience, his Konknni language accent was perfect just like that of a genuine Hindu and with more stage attraction he did his part very well

Willy playing this time the role of a policeman did proper justice for his depiction.  With his stern personality and robust diction he showed to the audience that he is one of the best artistes playing the serious roles. Sharon Mazarello as a media person did justice to her role.

The comedy part was beautifully handled by all the three ace comedians, namely the natural comedian Neto, seasoned comedian John D’Silva and naturally gifted comedian Anita who showed lot of similarities between her and the once ace comedian Platilda.  At this early stage she is showing lot of smartness in performing her role with ease.  Her attractive looks and youthfulness are her extra stage assets.

The Side Show songs were very good, politically and historically high, so also morally and educatively. The best song I liked was the duet of husband and wife – Wilmix and Sharon – rendered on preventing filing of court case to evict Mundkar where quoting Biblical statement Wilmix educates the faithful to follow the right path.  What priests did not do Wilmix did.  Their second duet on going to London with Portuguese Passport was also very good where Sharon was at her best singing with her silky attractive voice and bringing romantic flavour when she was dancing by tilting her hip. The duet rendered by Anthony San and Felcy in Hindi and Konkani was very good where both did yodeling well and evergreen stage beauty Felcy with her melodious voice stole the show

Francis de Tuem rendered a very powerful political song of which type I never seen him singing earlier.  He tore Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza into pieces for calling himself a Hindu Christian and humiliating him for discarding by the BJP.  Junior Nelson after a long gap seen rendering another powerful solo against injustice committed on Tiatrists and others.  Xavier Gomes in his solo cautioned the parents to discipline their sons.  In their trio song Marcus Vaz-Lawry Travasso-Francis de Tuem praised FC Goa soccer team and condemned those politicians who were responsible to blackmail the spectators in buying the tickets illegally. Marcus Vaz rendered an educative solo on Vices but it was copied in many aspects from the solo the late M. Dod de Verna rendered in 1959.  Even the tune was copied ad verbatim while much of the terminology was directly borrowed from Dod’s solo.

The father and son duo – Sylvester Vaz and his son – was interesting on Mother Tongue Konkani. It is nice to see the young son creating waves on Konkani Stage.  He was till recently in Kuwait where he used to appear on the Kuwait Stage especially in the Church Hall.  

The faulty Mike system was a bit irritant otherwise there is nothing wrong.

A WELL-KNOWN KUWAITI REPLIES TO VERONICA'S ARTICLE.

The following is in reply to A. Veronica's article yesterday in this forum on Killings of mediamen in France. This reply was sent yesterday from Kuwait by a well-known Kuwaiti Mr. Mubarak Al Hindal who is known to Kuwait Goans.  He came to Goa to address the Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Meet held in Panjim on 26th February 2014. He is a great supporter of Goans in Kuwait and a part of our movement in solidarity with Kuwait.

 

 

I totally agree with you in condemning the terrorism what so ever

 

But would like to make some comments

 

1-    Those  who  committed  the   attack   in France  have  not been  identified yet so its  unfair  to say they are Muslim  before its confirmed
 

 

2   Islamic principle never accept any such  acts  at all  and terrorism  is not a part of  Islam  but contrary to that  Islam  is  peace,  love ,  forgiveness, equality,  liberty. Islam  doesn’t differentiate  between rich or poor   or black and white  nor Arabic or non Arabic and doesn’t  accept any type of discrimination   and  says  human  either  a brother for you in religion or  equal in humanity, Islam  rules  :   Muslim should not  start the war  against others   until the other start and if   Muslims  attack the enemy  should  not kill  the unarmed  person  nor to kill  seniors  or women or children  and not even to kill their animals or to spoil the plantation and not  allowed to frighten the  innocent  people in their homes.

 

3   We cannot blame the religion for the bad behavior of some followers who in fact not implementing the religion  and even do not understand  the Islam otherwise  we should have blamed the Christianity   because who killed John Kennedy who was  a Christian   or Sikhs,  who killed Indira Ghandy?  Sikh   or we blame the Buddhism and who killed mahatma Ghandy? By a Hindu and so on.   The crime has no religion if we see all over the  globe we  will find the wars   in some cases people of same religion fighting each other  and some cases different religion.
 

4-    Who initiated the terrorism in the world?
 

USA created the terrorism in afghanistan using Benladen under the name of Jihad against soviet union then after their cold war was over they used Benladen to create problem for Muslim countries, three years ago established DAESH   and Al NUSSRA GANGS against Syria and hezb Allah in Lebanon then in Iraq what we call this   other than international terrorism against the countries under various names.

 France   which you call it great country is not same France of   Voltaire now they export the death to the Humanity by supporting the terrorists to kill people in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Tunis etc.

CONDEMNING BRUTAL KILLINGS IN FRANCE.

In strongest terms, I condemn the brutal killings of unarmed mediamen in France two days ago by the Islamic terrorists in the name of Islam, as given to understand.  I don’t know if Islam allows this type of brutal retaliatory acts, neither I know the brand of Islam these terrorist are propagating.  Islam according to me is a great religion, the religion of love, peace, forgiveness and compassion but by committing acts of terrorism the Muslim terrorists give a very harsh and bad image of Islam which very much affects the greatness of Islam.  It is here that Christianity scored over Islam by propagating in its true Christian principle the doctrine of love, peace, compassion and forgiveness in non-retaliatory manner.   

One of the main aspects of Islam is freedom to express oneself boldly but this freedom of expression was boldly damaged but not killed by the Muslim terrorists in France, the country that gave to the world the slogans of Equality – Liberty – Fraternity.  France is a great country that gave birth to the great freedom loving genius Voltaire who once said,  “I fully disagree with what you say but I will do everything within my capacity to allow you to express yourself freely, if necessary even by facing death I will allow you this freedom of expression though I fully disagree with what you express”.

By this harsh act of terrorism if these Muslim terrorists think they can kill the freedom of expression in France then they are sadly mistaken.  On the contrary they encouraged free expression more forcefully not only in France but all over the globe including in me. 

While this act of terrorism committed in France, the silence of Saudi King the custodian of Two Hoy Mosques  is intriguing.  So also of many other Muslim Kings and Sheikhs who were responsible in supporting this type of terrorism. They are partly responsible for promoting terrorists in this world by supporting this  brutal ideology.

I also condemn the previllege of freedom taken by the journalists and Cartoonists to mock Islam or any other religion.  No religion is bad and no religion tells to do bad things but it is the religious leaders and propagators who are guilty of giving distorted image of their religions to fulfill their personal anger. It is these people who should be mocked.
