On 8th of this month, in Candolim at Saipem, at 8.30 PM instead of at 7.30 PM,  I saw the Tiatro “TENSION” written and directed by one of the best directors Pal Soares.  In fact this is an excellent Tiatro with excellent story played by excellent artistes though all of them were not heavy weight. This is the 15th Tiatro of Pal Soares.

Rarely such stories are written but Pal Soares is also a rare director to select such a  rare topic because of which many communal disputes are arising.  By seeing this Tiatro we can get good lesson to maintain peace.  Because of shifting of a Cross from one location to other we need not create dispute and tension leading to disaster, this is what Pal Soares indicated in this Tiatro.  Religious  signs and symbols and places should help us to create love and peace and not discord and hatred – this is what Pall Soare also tells us in this Tiatro which was very beautifully enacted.

Full marks to seasoned artiste and charming Jessica whose presence on the stage easily charms the audience.  She did justice to her role and she was very ably supported as her mother by Ivon Fernandes who shouldered heavy pressure of this Tiatro along with Jessica.  Both these young ladies were like the backbone of this Tiatro.  Among others who also did play their roles well were Hogle, Cruz Pinto, Joe and Riza.

The Side Show songs though lacked the heavy punch yet the songs rendered by Pal Soares, Jessica & Ivon, Camilo, Natasha and Joe deserve heavy compliments.
The one sorrowful Canto rendered by Jessica was the most precious one, the composition was the best, the tune was the best and style of singing was also the best.  It was thru such Cantos, M. Boyer elevated Antonette Mendes to the pedestal, so did Pal Soares to Jessica in this Tiatro.

Congratulations to Pal Soares and to his entire troupe.

DEMONSTRATION TO GET JUSTICE.

Under the banner of NGO  “HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS” headed by Advino Fernandes, today held a demonstration in front of Ferryboat Jetty in Betim at 4.30 PM, attended by about 100 people, members and well wishers, males and females coming from distant places such a Sanquelim, Valpoi, Vasco etc. The demonstration was for demanding justice to Nerul resident Pradip Dabolcar who is denied license by the government for Water Sport business for not paying heavy bribe to one local agency which deals between the government  and Dabolcar.  According to my information, government machinery accepts the application routed only thru that local agency that is entrusted with the task of greasing the palms of government machinery.

The second demand is to shift the Casino “Deltin Royale” from the Betim side that hampers the fishing facilities of the locals there. The catch of fish from Betim side is diminished because of the loud sound of the generators of Casino and also because of the bright lights coming from the same Casino.

To put into order the scam created in Beach cleaning contract, the scam consists of crores of rupees.

Among those who spoke on the issues were Advino, Dabolcar and Prakash from Pilerne  and they have warned the government of dire consequences if what they asked is not fulfilled.

The effigy of CM was placed on the ground  giving an impression that he is dead or else why he is silent?

TOO HARSH PUNISHMENT FOR FC GOA.

I  strongly disapprove with the harsh punishment imposed on  FC Goa by ISL though FC Goa was wrong in boycotting the prize distribution ceremony. However,  the quantum of punishment is too high which looks more like a revenge. As a president of GFA, soon after Goa’s annexation by Bharat,  Dr. Gustavo Monteiro from Candolim  mingled with the top brass of Indian Foot-ball administrators and observed how they are jealous of the high standard of soccer in a tiny Goa.  To demolish this high standard they will play all the dirty games and this harsh punishment is one of the dirty games  to prevent the growth of Goan soccer.

In 1982 Soccer World Cup in Spain,  Kuwait refused to play further after England scored their disputed second goal.  After about 10 minutes of discussion with the concerned authorities, Kuwait agreed to play again minus this goal. After the tournament, FIFA disciplinary committee punished Kuwait with only 10,000/- Dollars for refusing to play further after that second goal.  In view of this, the 11 crores fine imposed on FC Goa is too high and ridiculous.

Secondly, it is wrong on the part of FC Goa management not to accept the defeat sportingly.  If they cannot accept the defeat sportingly, they should not participate in the tournament.  Today because of this wrong decision of FC Goa, the image of Goa is spoiled.  Salgaocar and Dempo are the main responsible persons foe this disaster.  They both must know that thru FC Goa they must create a good will for Goa and not an ill will.   If they don’t have sporting spirit to accept the defeat sportingly then they must withdraw from FC Goa instead of disgracing the fair image of Goa.

Again in 1982 World Cup, Brazil had a superb squad which was dubbed as World Cup winner in advance only.  This team comprised some of the football legends,  namely Zico, Socrates, Eder, Zunior and Falcao.  However, in the quarter finals stage itself, it suffered an unexpected defeat from Paulo Rossi’s Italy when Paulo Rossi scored a magnificent  hat-trick against the mighty Brazil team of which type Brazil has never produced before.  However, to the surprise of everyone all over the globe, after the final whistle the Brazilian squad walked out of the field calmly by making a Sign of the Cross thereby showing their true sporting spirit.
