8th Aug. 2016

To,
Bab Luizinho Faleiro,
President
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee,
Panjim Goa-403001.

Viva bab Luizinho Salazar,

Namaskar!

Enclosed please find one page of the “GOAN OBSERVER”   (July 16-22, 2016), wherein Mr. Rajan Narayan writes about some disturbing incidents, that occurred, when he joined the “Herald”, as its Editor.

As voting, tax-paying citizens, we have the right to know the unadulterated and truthful information, about where and how our tax-money is spent, by the government. Unfortunately, a large section of the media, both print and electronic, is either buyable or subservient. Mercifully, there are a few who courageously refuse to be muzzled or pliant, for which, many of them, pay with their lives, particularly in the “Banana Republics”, Muslim Nations, some of the Asian Nations, including India.

We have been told, from rooftops, by so-called Freedom Fighters, that Goa experienced Press censorship and gagging, during Salazar regime.

Scene 2: 2000 – when you were the Industries Minister in the Govt. of Goa.

Bab Luizinho – your Salazar-like order to the Editor of Herald Mr. Rajan Narayan, via its Managing Director Raul Fernandes, and that too in your presence, that “nothing against the minister (Luizinho Faleiro) should appear in the paper” is /was highly objectionable and condemnable This order of yours, was because Mr. Rajan Narayan (Herald)” had been carrying a series of articles on how, on (your) instructions, the EDC had been extending further loans to steel rolling mills…”.

This is nothing short of “Press Gagging”, for which Salazar was notorious as you will surely know.

Only Salazar in his grave, must be very happy and proud of you, for carrying on his legacy, in a supposedly Democracy. Is the “Indian Democracy” just another name for “Demoncracy”?

Please glance at Scene 3: 1983 (pg.4)
Take a good read and see how…

C. M. Manohar Parrikar, out-did you in “Press-gagging”, because of the questionable doings in the same EDC and the same Raul Fernandes. There is again another reference to this sordid duel between you and Parrikar, in the latest issue of the “G.O” (July 30-Aug 05, 2016) – a clip of which is affixed herewith.

The stark reality is that both Congress and BJP are the two sides of the same coin. No matter which sides comes up, when it is tossed, the stench of corruption, scams and nepotism is overpowering.

That is why, as you also know, Goans kicked out the Congress Government in the last elections, by tens of-thousands of Goans like myself,  voting for B.J.P., whose face in Goa then, was Manohar Parrikar. All believed then that he was truly honest and sincere.

If Goans and Goa are now in a grave situation, it is only because the Congress Government and Congress Party, forced our hand to press the B.J.P. lotus-button, on the voting machine.

Bab Luizinho as a son of Goa and father of your children, I ask you as a Goenkar, what have you and all of you, elected by Goans so many, many times, even as you and many of you occupied high, positions with power, done to protect and guard Goans and Goa and to promote the interests of all Goans?

Have you and all of you not betrayed, in total contempt, our forefathers, who handed over to us a “Golden Goa” of peace, plenty and amity among our People? And are you and all of you, not robbing all this from your children,  your grand-children and their children, yet to be born, in their Homeland?

What is the legacy that you and all of you, are leaving, behind, long after you are gone, as indeed all of us have to go?

It is a himalayan irony indeed, that you a Goan was sent to  take care of the special needs and interests of the citizens of the North Eastern States, while Goa and Goans have been thrown to the wolves, hyenas and “agents” of Congress and BJP, whose job was/ is to satisfy their High Command in New Delhi and Nagpur. And in all this, to hell with Goans and Goa!

I wrote a letter, sometime ago, to Rahul Gandhi highlighting-4 aspects:
1.  His genuine honesty.
2.  Corrupt Congress Party and Congress Government.
3.  Betrayal of Goans and Goa by late P.M. Jawaharlal Nehru, late P.M. Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi who proved to be an outright liar, to us Goans.
4.   “Special Status “vis-a-viz Nagaland, Assam and Mizoram, whose interests you took care of, for a number of years (page 8 & 9).

As a Goenkar, I hope you and all of you will be there, to be pallbearers of the “Golden Land” of our forefathers, that you and all of you, are above to extinguish, for your individual and collecting gains, power and pelf.

If you say that I am being dramatic, please check the pulse of Goenkars, both in and out of Goa, and hear their cry, if you are honest enough to hear, of how you and all of you, have made their Goa a Hell for them and a Paradise for all non-Goans.

Enclosed, please find a Xerox of Mr. Prabhakar Sinari’s article (who as a daring, idealistic teenager had joined the Azad Gomantak Dal and paid a price)- titled “Quo Vadis Goa?”, wherein he laments in distress, for his Goa and writes:

* “Goa Has Already Lost On Many Counts”.
* “Time Is Fast Ticking For Goa”.

Is Mr. Prabhakar Sinari being dramatic?
Amen for Goenkars and our Goem!
Sincerely,

(Sergio Carvalho)
P.S.
If what Mr. Rajan Narayan has written in the “Goan Observer” (July 16-22, 2016) about you is untrue, we as voting, tax-paying citizens of Goa, have the right to know. Besides, since his said article is in public domain, we the voting, tax-paying citizens, expect you to file a case for Defamation, against Mr. Rajan Narayan.

BAD ROADS IN CALANGUTE.

Whoever they may be responsible but they are criminals for neglecting the repairing of Calangute roads when they are duty bound to get these roads repaired.  The roads in Arpora, Nagoa  and Parra are in excellent condition while in Calangute only they are in very bad condition especially from  Candolim – Calanute Ximer right up to the Calangute Panchayat on one side and up to the Calangute Church on the other side.  Not only you cannot drive properly nor ride but cannot even walk safely.  Where are the responsible persons gone now?  Can the local MLA, Panchayat or PWD answer why these roads are neglected?
Calangute is the world renown touristic place and when tourists are inconvenienced along with the locals, how can you expect the flood of tourists when the face of touristic place Calangute is splashed with very bad roads?  Is this the way to develop tourism in Goa? Is Tourism Minister listening to my cry?
Rightly or wrongly, people in the locality are blaming the local MLA and local Panchayat for this criminal neglect of Calangute roads where so many accidents take place and yet there is no improvement.  Whoever they may be responsible for this neglect but they are unfit to perform their duties.  Those who are holding responsibilities for looking after these roads are irresponsible persons belonging to the category of “Ladru & Pedru” and not the category of efficient administrators.
Unfortunately, the administration of Goa is gone into the hands of Ladrus & Pedrus only, some of them will come to our door very shortly begging for our votes.  In my constituency I will not forget them unless there is a clarification on this subject.
A.Veronica Fernandes.

LETTER TO PRATAPHSINGH RANE SENT BY PROF. SERGIO CARVALHO.

From:

Sergio Carvalho,
Liberty Apts-202,
Feira Alta,
Mapusa Goa-403507.

8th Aug. 2016.

To,

Bab Pratapsingh Rane-M.L.A.
Hon’ble Leader of Opposition,
Gov. of Goa,
Legislative Assembly Complex,
Porvorim Goa-403521.

Viva bab Rane Salazar,
Namaskar!

Enclosed please find one page of the “GOAN OBSERVER” (July 16-22, 2016). The page carries an article by Mr. Rajan Narayan, reminiscing some disturbing incidents, that occurred when he joined as Editior of “Heraldo”

SCENE 1: 1983 i.e. when you were the C.M. of Goa.

He writes about your high-handed order, to summarily dismiss the affable Director of Kala Academy Mr. Damu Kenkre and also ordered the founder-Publisher of “Heraldo”_late AC. Fernandes, to sack him as the Editor, because he had written the reason why and how, you had dismissed Mr. Damu Kenkre, as the Director of KA.

Mr. A.C. Fernandes defied your arrogant order, thanks to his sense of self-dignity, but the fact still remains that your all-mighty attitude and your high-voltage arrogance was/is nothing short of Salazarism. Should I say “Viva Salazar” or “Viva Rane”? Salazar must be turning in his grave, with glee!

I come from a family of so-called Freedom-Fighters. My paternal grand father was co-founder of “Partido Indiano” (Indian Party) with Jose’ Inacio Loyola (Fanchu). My paternal uncle spent quite sometime behind bars and received “Tamra Patra” at the hands of late P.M. Indira Gandhi. And there were some truly genuine Freedom Fighters, who suffered pain and deprivation, but sought nothing for themselves, not even pension and other “goodies”, for themselves, their children, grand children etc. Some of them were fakes, of course.

Yet, all of you occupying powerful positions in the Government of Goa, as C.Ms., Ministers, Directors etc. for so many, many years, nullified their sacrifices, in total contempt of them. Election after election, Goans voted for you, to serve, to protect Goans and Goa. Instead all of you, individually and collectively, crushed and destroyed the Goa of our noble ancestors, be they poor or rich.

I do not need to repeat that in the last elections, the Congress Government in Goa was kicked out, because its corruption, arrogance, nepotism et al had become unbearable. As a result, tens of thousand of Goans like myself, voted for B.J.P., whose face then in Goa, was Manohar Parrikar. Goans believed then that he was truly honest and sincere. If Goans and Goa are in a grave situation now, it is only because the Congress Government and Congress Party, forced our hand to press the BJP lotus-button, on the voting machine.

Every Goan Institution like our ancient Gaonkari System (Communidades) is crippled and maimed; every Goan soul cries in distress; every Goan mind sees only darkness in the horizon!

Bab Rane, what have you and all your fellow politicians, of all colours and hues, reduced the Goa of our forefathers to? And what kind of Goa are you leaving for your children, your grand-children and their children? What legacy are all of you, in whose hands Goans had placed their thrust, leaving for the future of our Land, our People, our children-born and yet to be born?!

And with what courage and/or audacity do you and all of you, want to seek votes of Goans yet again, whom you and all of you, have betrayed so brazenly, for so many, many continuous years?

God have mercy on our People and our Land. Only He can rescue us from this deep, dark pit that you and all of you, have pushed us into.

Enclosed, please find a Xerox of Mr. Prabhakar Sinari’s article-“Quo Vadis Goa?” when in he laments in despair for his Goa. (You’ll know that Mr. Sinari had joined Azad Gomantak Dal as a daring, idealistic teenager-and paid a price for it).

Truly as Mr. Sinari writes:

“Goa has already lost on many counts”
“Time is fast ticking for Goa”.
