FROM THIS SEASON THE TIATROS THAT I SAW, the Tiatro Sonvsar Ghunvta by Oga Vaz I found it very good storywise, comedywise and Side Show wise where all the artistes performed their roles very well. The Tiatro started exactly on time at 7.30 PM on 9^th of this month at Panjim Kala Academy Hall where the Hall was partly filled up with the audience who enjoyed it nicely.

The story is based on one family where because of greed for money the daughter and her husband bring disaster on her father and mother only to own the wealth of the father and mother. As a crook son-in-law, Anil  Pednekar played his role appropriately and as his mother in law seasoned artiste Roma did her role well and as her husband Tari played his role very good while attractive Jolita played her role very well as the wife of Anil.

The comedy  was vey well handled by the ace comemdians Humbert and acrobatic Nato supported by Caetano.  They have created a havoc of laughter in the Hall, especially Humbert was at his best.

All the Side Show songs were good but especial mention must be made for both the solos of Benny de Aldona, Duet of Ron with Jolita, Both the political songs of Olga Vaz and her trio with Anil and Benny de Aldona who brought an extra colour to this song. However, among all the songs that i heard, the song rendered by Amresh Kamat imitating the voices of some Tiatrists and also of Politicians was extremely well. performed.  My salute to you Amresh Kamat.  Keep up the good work you do from the Konkani Stage.

ZOMNIVOILE KHELL" CONTEST. "KEDNANCH CHUKNA" ONE OF THE BEST KHELLS

ZOMNIVOILO FELL.

During  the Carnival period, the Tiatro Academy of Goa in collaboration with Kala Academy, Goa, annually organizes the "Zomnivoile Khell" contest to promote the traditional Khell (Fell). The timing selected during the Carnival time is to get easy availability of the groups of these Fells since they organize their Fells during the Carnival mainly in Salcette.

This year in total 6 groups participated in this contest which lasted for 3 days from which 3 groups were selected for the prizes from 1^st to the third and these prizes were declared immediately after the last Fell “KEDNANCH CHUKHNA of JoseIvonStancio  production, two days back..

Watching this show of about an hour in the Open air venue of Kala Academy Panjim where after attending these shows some people even fell sick due to the foul weather condition, some of the members of the audience were suffering from the cold and sneezing because there was noting over their heads.  The organisers in future must do something to cover the area over the heads of the audience.  The Tiatro Academy is getting a good amount of grant in the form of money to the tune of crores of rupees that many of the tax payers are not aware. In view of this it will be better for the TAG to openly declare how much they get and how they spend it, it is spent correctly or recklessly?  Why not spend something from this grant and erect shades temporarily by the TAG over the heads of the participants and audience? If this is done then it will be better for all the people concerned.  The performance of Jose who played the character role of a “Lolo” type of a person was very appropriate so too the role of his young school going son Stancio and of course that of his  wife Ivon was excellent. In fact Ivon has blossomed into a fine comedian and her singing was also very good.  The others who played their  roles well were Flexky, Snella, Comedian Oswin and Inacio as his father.

The songs introduced in this Khell were very good and they looked and sounded like the songs introduced in the traditional Fells.  The thrill in this Fells come from the musical score provided by  the musicians and the way of Salcette Konkani used by the artistes and performers.

THE ZILLA PARISHAD ELECTION IN GOA.

Like a “Baizon”, after denying  of going ahead with the Zilla Parishad election independently, Congress Party  has just declared its intention even by naming its candidates to contest the forthcoming  Zilla Parishad Election. What is the importance and what is its utility of this Zilla Parihad?  What is its power and functions? This Zilla Parashad is an impotent body meant only for the impotent members who unnecessarily and uselessly  wasting their time and also wasting their money.  Why this sacrifice they are doing in this impotent body?  This is the question the electorates must ask all the candidates who are contesting the forthcoming election of Zilla Parishad.  They must be told that they are by asking their votes for them, are simply wasting their previous time. Will we the voters are going to commit a big mistake by going to the polls to vote for the impotent candidates of the impotent body?

Regarding Congress Party, I don’t think Congress is in a position to do good in this election because currently and since it gave its duly gained victory which was given to them on silver platter by all the voters on their own freewill and not because Congress Party worked for it.  Congress Party had no balls to convince the voters against the BJP corrupt candidates because Congress Party in its ranks are having worst corrupt candidates mainly among the seniors who used their party to acquire benefits for them.  And precisely because of this the pig headed “Rostad” seniors allowed BJP to form its government undeservinly.  See the logic and philosophy of these “Rostad” senior Congressmen who are not geuine Congressmen and being so they even preferred to allow the BJP to form the government if they don’t get the chance to lead the party in the Legislative Assembly.  Those elected members who tried to over rule their partys’ interest are political  Bastards and such political Bastards are plenty among us in Goa. See the courage and wisdom of these Congressmen, did they realise the efforts and sacrifices of their voters in getting them the power? After doing so much and getting the Party highest number of seats last time, these Congressmen betrayed their voters, in view of this, can you trust this party

 anymore?

In fact, as per my observation  these senior Congressmen are so bad politicians that they feel without political power they are fish out of water.  As fish in the ocean they exploited every opportunity and facility to acquire wealth for themselves, for this reason they were mad in trying to get them the leadership in the Goa Legislative Assembly last time.    

One of the reasons for the AAP to win the recent Delhi election by defeating the BJP ruling the whole of India from the backyard of AAP, was the move made by the AAP immediately following their victory 5 years ago to apply their mind seriously on the next election that is the one held recently.  Though Kejrival was always acting by keeping his eyes on the  next election the elected Congressmen in Goa were offering themselves for sale while others especially the thick skinned were just releasing Press Statements and organising Press Conferences.

The dormant pose of Congressmen and their lethargic attitude is very dangerous for the Congress supporters who expect justice and dynamism for their ultimate goal of victory which is evading them for a long time because the Congressmen elected as well as not elected are not serious of fighting the election methodically to win. The coming Election is a test for their seriousness and efficiency in fighting the election.
