WHERE IS OUR FREEDOM GONE?

        Where are we heading?  To the right direction or somewhere in the Jungle?  A few days back a Press Conference in Melaulim, Satari Taluka was stopped by the local Police citing different reasons that prohibit such activities. Elsewhere so  many meetings were held but Police never stopped them. Why this step motherly treatment to Melaulim Meet only?     This action  gives an indication that  hard days are about to descend on us not only in Goa but all over India because BJP has already bared its intention to wield control over every move of every Indian citizen.  By using the excuse of section 144, looters are on loot spree all over Goa, this looks like what it is said in one of our Konkani proverbs which says ‘DEV PODDLA BOBALLAR ANI HOCH VELL BORO IGROZ NAGOUPAK. This is what exactly it is happening in Goa now where the Government and its machinery are become like Kindergarten Teachers with the Sticks in their hands and pushing their control over every student who is incapable to defend him/her from the corporal punishment by the stupid KG Teachers in the name of guiding them in the right direction to groom them as good citizen.  It is  all   rubbish, nobody In India is having his mission to create Indians as good citizens.  If it is so, India would not be producing armies and battalions of corrupt citizens originating from our Homes and Schoola and Colleges.  Even our “Dev Mandirs” are become like the factories of producing  in mass scale the corrupt  “Dev Bokts” and their followers.

     

  Seeing all these rubbish situation prevailing now all over Goa and India too, I feel like putting a poser to all the concerned people as “What type of people we elected to rule Goa?” Are our elected representatives  capable to defend and protect democratic system sincerely or will they act  as Ladru Pedru type of MLA’s  and Ministers where they will do nothing except work ferociously for accumulating THE WEALTH  not only for them and for their children and grand children but even their generations to come.  See our every MLA and Minister having his asset in crores of rupees, from where he got so much of financial power to accumulate such  vast fincial empires?   And on top of it they are not even ashamed of being exposed of their dirty methods they used to acquire their illicit wealth, they are elected to our Legislative Assemblies and Panchayats and Parliament not to fill their pockets but to help their voters and other  citizens to develop their economies.  But instead of developing the economies of their constituents they are developing their own economies by robbing the people by means of denying them of the  quota of their progress which their representative Is using for his own benefit.  In this way these elected representatives are become crorepotis by utilizing every opportunity that they get for the benefit of their constituents ultimately the same for their own benefit sometimes what is surplus as residual part they share it with their Chamchas and some members of their  inner circle. Otherwise, can you point finger for any beneficial work done by your MLA/Minister for the benefit of any of your constutients?

  Coming back to the Stopping of the Press Conference by the Police force of the BJP government, can my own MLA who is otherwise too much talkative on any and very topic as if he is an omnipotent and even harping on democratic values, can he tell what has happened at Melaulim was right?  Does he accept the action that his government has taken in suppressing the voice of the people?  Don’t we have freedom to express our views where we feel injustice has been done to us? Or he like Salazarism back in Goa?  Those people in the ruling government who are doing nothing to protect the people’s rights are enemies of the people?  It is 3 years past that our MLA came to our places in my area to beg for our votes but since then there is no sign of his, he must stop thinking that people are fools, now in the Corona Virus plague he should have enquired what is the state of affairs of the same people whom he approached exactly on the eve of the last election and now he will come back again exactly  on the eve of the coming election.  My  friend, you have bared your actual nature of the proverb “Kam  zalem Voiz Melo”.  Don’t think migrants alone will elect you, you are likely to face your Waterloo in the coming election if  you think so though I don’t want this calamity to fall on you because you are otherwise a nice man having sympathetic heart to understand the difficulties of the proletarians like me since you come from the same segment of the people.      

It looks the second Emergency is coming fast after the June 1975 first emergency was introduced by that Monster Indira Gandhi who trampled under her feet the great democratic tradition of India, she lectured Indians on the greatness of democracy but became the first to destroy it only to protect her Prime Ministerial Chair and not for anything else.  In the name of protecting the nation from the internal divisive elements who otherwise were the great patriots like Jayaprakash Narain, Morarjee Desai and others, she with the Midnight Knock at their Doors, got them arrested and used all the inhuman methods to harass them bodily and mentally.  In one word the entire opposition nationwide was suppressed by keeping them under police/judicial lock-up and thus destroyed all the freedoms and democratic rights given to us by our Constitution.  Similar days  looming over our heads is become visible when some of our activists in Goa were arrested recently on silly complaints and when they were arrested none of the BJP members either from the Assembly or from outside raised his or her voice. Our MLA who is otherwise super vocal to raise his voice against the injustice was silent.  Why is this duplicity of the type of Dr. Jackyl and Mr. Hyde?  And with this type of duality you  will never succeed my friend.

The second emergency  if it comes (God forbid first of all)  it will be the harshest one because those responsible to introduce it will be the most harsh people as seen from the hard heartedness they indicate now. Currently our rulers are showing scant respect for the democratic values of the people where as it looks, even your freedom to think freely will be curtailed leave aside freedom to express freely.  The recent arrest of 2 or 3 activists for expressing their views freely was a dangerous beginning in the wrong direction where surprisingly our intelligentsia showed their total silence.

GREATNESS OF UTUBE IN THE ABSENCE OF TIATROS.

It is said, necessity is the mother of all inventions. This is what has happened for our Konkani Musical Art where Tiatro and songs are concerned which are remained under suspension due to the Corona Virus.  Though the government and political leaders who are on loot spree of Goan wealth for their own benefits they thought in the prevailing situation they will be the  Monarchs of what they survey.  While they were expressing their happiness since no Tiatrists will be able to expose these Goa “Chors” since Tiatrists are the only opponents whom they are afraid.  When they were celebrating their opportunities to grab Goa for them and for their future    generations suddenly the UTube development created an opening for the Tiatrists to reach to everyone not in Goa only but all over the World as well.  Thru this UTube outlet, there is too much of congestion to release their songs not only on political topics which captivate the hearts of Goans but also on other social and family topics.  The power of this campaign is become more energetic and for this reason everybody is going to check the UTube, however, it must be borne in mind that most of these songs are qualitatively  very high deserving topmost compliments for the singers as well as for the lyricists. 

Being at home round the clock under Lockdown situation, I spend more time on watching UTube, then I thought why should I not do the write-up on these especially some of those best songs and advise my readers to see these songs on UTube in which case those who are interested they watch the UTtube  and the producers will get their songs the much needed exposure.

Today I am highlighting on 3 songs which I selected according to my taste and observation as the best, the first one is the beautiful Duet  beautifully rendered by PeteRoshan on the recent  death thru Suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput the well known Bollywood Actor. This song was well composed by the singers and well delivered  by them but still I must say the delicious and tasty voice of Roshan with full of serenity that gave an extra beautiful colour to this otherwise excellent song.  The presentation of both the singers was very good with the beautiful matching dress code in which they both look very attractive. The lyrics were beautified by the beautiful and sorrowful tune that give a Motetic semblance to this song.

One of the most shining stars of Konkani songs currently is Sonia Sirsat the beauty of Konkani and Goan  Musical world.  I first saw her some time back when she was rendering a Portuguese Fado during the reception hosted at Bambolim for the visiting Premier of Portugal where I was also an invitee. Her voice and other singing attributes are rightly meant for the Fado and also for our Mando.  But what I see her now singing on UTube with such a perfection of Konkani Stage singer that she has attained her peak as a singer very beautifully.  Her presentation, actions and modulation and dress code are perfectly well synchronizing. Her one song a solo “Birthday Special” she renders so well with her smiling face that such an excellent song, excellent tune, excellent composition by Samy Tavares I heard only once in C. Alvares Tiatro “Jurament” when I was very young and it rendered by the then beauty queen of Konkani Stage Miss Mohana.. In this song Sonia easily captivates the hearts of all the viewers, her beautiful voice and attractive looks with smiling face give an added booster to this beautiful song.  The credit goes also to her mentor and lyricist Sammy Tavares who must have given a very good direction to her.  In fact of late I noticed vast improvement in Tavares where his songs are become a powerful weapon to educate the Goans in different topics. He at the moment is a great asset for our Tiatros and Songs.

In the above photo you see one of the great singers of Konkani Stage Aniceto singing a very beautiful Duet with yet another beautiful looker and singer Jessica Gomes, the song  "Ghovachem Ghor" was composed by Sammy Tavares.  It is worth spending a few minutes to watch this song and enjoy it, both the singers sing very well where Aniceto depicting the required seriousness while singing just as Jessica does.


Will the void created by the Tiatros be filled by the UTube?  Time alone will give the testimony.

WHERE IS CONGRESS GONE?

WHERE IS CONGRESS IN GOA?  The next two years will just finish within no time and the  election will be declared for the  formation of the next government. Inspite of the heavy  blow Congress received in the last election even by winning more Seats, the Congress still does not look like learnt its lesson and in all probability it may never learn especially as long as all the fit for nothing oldies are having their say an upper hand.  From past experience, people like me have lost our trust in Congress and to rebuild it Congress Party  under its current sincere president  must  declare its CM candidate much before the election, preferably Congress must indicate its CM’s name in its Manifesto itself so that at the last minute there should not be any fighting for the post of CM.  The mandate last time the Congress voters given to the Congress party was not because  of the canvassing and campaigning of the Congress party oldies but it was  purely because of the individual efforts of all the Congress  Party supporters and well-wishers. However, it must be noted well that all those who voted for Congress to give the Congress Party greater number of Seats they were not necessarily Congressmen but they were necessarily  the opponents of BJP and since this was the case these voters wanted to defeat the BJP..

          Everybody knew that the Cogress Party is a rogue party, all the  crookedness, cunningness, dirty politics and other bad characteristics that BJP follows now and because of same the political system and democratic values have been corroded to such a worst level, it was only because of the guilt of Congress. The BJP have learnt all the dirty political tricks from the Congress.  The image of BJP at this moment and since taking over the power in its hands at the State level and also at the Centre,  has gone to so low that Congress Party has failed miserably to capitalize on the flaws of ruling party BJP.  This should have been an opportune time for the Congress Party to tear BJP into pieces but no, Congress Party is again proved to be the party of traitors since some of its members are hand in gloves with the BJP either openly or clandestinely because as per one  source BJP has specially prepared files of some of the senior  Congressmen of all their sins, how they misused their power when they were ruling Goa.  Because of this threat, all the senior  Congressmen without much resistance surrendered their right to the late Bahi who had no shame to make use of dirty politics to grab power.  Most dirty politicians that I came across are from the BJP who initiated the defections to prop up support for BJP and on top of it they take pride in doing what dirty politics they made. This type of rascalisation of politics thru defection is done only by the rascal politicians. But their time is coming very speedily and they will all have to pay the price for the cunningness they perpetrated.  These are the Goan politicians who are most corrupt and thru corruption alone they joined politics and developed there and now they are devouring all the cream of Goa for themselves, they are not doing anything for the people except for  their own chamchas and persons from their inner circle. What they have done for the development of the people from their own constituencies?     In the coming election people must raise this topic by doing the post mortem of what they have done for the growth of common persons.            

       

Secondly, Congress must start prowling on its candidates for the next election now only by               discarding all the earlier useless defeated candidates. There is no chance left for all the defeated candidates because voters have lost their confidence in them because voters found those defeated candidates at least majority of them as proud, cunning, selfish, revengeful and corrupt.  Because of these defects in them regular Congress voters voted against them to teach a lesson to the adamant Party stalwarts who opted for defeated candidates.  And men like Luizinho Faleiro must not push those defeated candidates on our heads. I know Luizin Faleiro last time was acting like God Father for the most corrupt, most arrogant, most proud candidate who created a Ghanttianchi Araddy in my locality for him to be his vote Bank but this bloody corrupt politician  who was harassing the locals from the time he was a local Panch and then Sarpanch and finally when he became an MLA. He was such a sadistic rascal that he would to satisfy his ego  would do any type of harm for his opponents. He got nothing but hatred from the locals.  Nobody should trust him because he is untrustworthy man.  He does not know to keep his friendship for longer period and as far as I know him he is perfect in all the cunningness of Congress.  One of the worst cunning ideas of Congress is their step they have taken just now by supporting the decision of the BJP of reducing the duration of the Assembly session for a Day only.  Here I say that why cant they join together to support the good causes of the people and for their upliftment? 

While selecting its candidates, Congress must take the locals into confidence and with their approval only the selection should be done while Congress Middle and High Commands should be kept at a distance because it is the locals who elect the candidates and not the Congress Panjim Low Command nor Congress Delhi HIGH Command.
